Finally, a vegan restaurant that prioritizes flavorful food over attitude ;-). My favorite is the fried mushroom burger, which will make you forget every other vegetarian or vegan burger you've ever had. On my last visit I had the "cheddar" sweet potato soup- also amazingly good. A great place for omnivores and vegans to meet and eat.Service is uniformly friendly and helpful, prices are very reasonable, and the ambiance is comfortable and relaxed. One of my favorite restaurants of any sort in Ann Arbor.

The service, decor, and food is lovely. I am not a vegan, but my best friend is (ugh). So I was kind enough to bring her over here. Haha. Honestly, vegan food is just not for me... because after eating here, I had the stinkiest gas and was hungry only a couple hours later. But, they do a good job for those people that have their digestive systems trained. The drinks are also very creative and delicious. If you're in the vegan camp, this is your place. If you are not, be sure to hang out alone afterwards. ;)

I have friends that rave about this place so I had to give it a try. It's vegan and the food is delicious! I had the pad thai and it was amazing. The flavor was good and not overkill on the spice which some vegan restaurants seem to do. The restaurant was pretty crowded when we went for dinner and the space isn't huge so I was expecting a bit of a wait for our food but it came out really fast! The server was friendly and didn't try to push us out the door despite people waiting for tables. Not that we were dawdling or anything but I've definitely had the 'hover and try to get rid of you' experience in crowded/popular restaurants. Definitely give this place a try if you haven't, everyone was friendly and the food was great. I need to go back and try more things!

Lots of veggie/vegan options here. Make sure to ask the staff of customer favorites. This is one of those places with unique options like the raspberry basil grilled cheese!!! Lots of Yummy sandwiches and salads available. We had the buffalo cauliflower wings and they were amazing! Not too spicy but all the flavor! Yum yum tots are a must to order with any meal!! Yummy desserts and specialty coffees so don't forget to check those out as well!!! Parking is a bit more challenging but there's a big lot behind the building as well! They sell merchandise and even house plants! This is SUCH a cute place to eat at in summer time while you can sit outside and enjoy a warm day! It has ALL the Ann Arbor vibes

The food was tasty. I enjoyed the take out experience. I hope to visit and eat at the restaurant in person. I always enjoy eating in person much more. I really loved the buffalo cauliflower wings and the General Tso dish was so tasty, I just wish there were more tofu.

I came here today to meet some friends while in town. One of my friends eats gluten-free and also vegetarian, so our other friends suggested this place. When I arrived, I immediately recognized it: when I was a student at U of M (back in the dark ages.... 2009 grad, haha) it was an Italian place called Argieros. This place is located in Kerrytown and there is parking nearby. Today was Sunday so I parked near the farmers market for free. I had scoped out the menu ahead of time, I find it hard to find vegan cheese I really liked but I was optimistic about the grilled cheese with cashew cream cheese, spinach, and raspberry. It ended up being very good albeit a little bit pricey: about $13.50 before tax and tip. This place kind of has early COVID protocols still in place, also: You order via the QR code which is at your table, and then they bring you your food. I'm usually opposed to that because it means we don't get water refills, but the waiter was very good with the refills. Bathroom situation was also interesting, there is a women's bathroom and then there is a men's/unisex. Works for me because the women's bathroom is usually very busy, so I used the men's/unisex bathroom and was able to lock the door behind me.Overall the food here was very good so we will probably return.

Had heard good things from friends in the area so I ordered pad Thai and a s'mores dessert bar for my dinner. Pad Thai was literally an insult to Thai cuisine - it tasted so off and the noodles weren't cooked well at all; half of them were stuck together and gummy and the sauce wasn't evenly distributed. The dessert bar was the driest, blandest dessert I've ever had. It tasted like a brick of sawdust punctuated with chocolate chips. I'm truly shocked that this place has any positive reviews. I would not recommend AT ALL

A local favorite, this vegan/vegetarian restaurant truly embraces and celebrates delicious and healthy food, bringing together flavor influences from around the globe. I truly appreciate the effort they put into delivering on taste! The restaurant is in a historic building which retains some of the charm of its unique architecture. The indoor seating space is really quite small, though in warmer months when outdoor seating is set up they can seat around 25-30 people. It's lovely to check out the farmer's market on a Sunday morning followed by eating here outside on a breezy warm day, then heading back to Kerrytown for some shopping and Zingermann's for a mid-afternoon snack. My last visit included trying the world's greatest wrap--them's fighting words whenever "the world's greatest" is placed in front of any description so while cautiously impressed by it's description when I ordered, I was relieved to bite into what was a deliciously crafted bundle of veggie love. Not to salty, sweet, or acidic, a terrific balance of taste and texture. The horchata was a bit on the sweet side and maybe bc the ice was melting was a bit watery for me. A little more cinnamon would be nice too. Prices are very reasonable for the area and service is friendly. I will definitely be back!

Great option for vegan food! I'm personally not vegan, but enjoy the creativity and different flavors. And it is always FILLING. I stumbled in today between things in the area, and saw they do a Taco Tuesday now! Very happy with this order and highly recommend. Came with 3 tacos - a seitan potato one, a buffalo soy curl one, and a beans and rice one. It also had sides of pico de gallo, guacamole, and cashew nacho cheese. I also got an additional side of hot sauce. Good combinations of flavors and textures. Everything was delicious. Pretty messy though - a couple extra napkins probably would've been good! Oh also, can never go wrong with their yum tots!

Amazing vegan food at Detroit Street Filling Station! I've been here a handful of times, most recently with my elementary- and middle-school-aged siblings, and they loved it too.If you come here, you MUST order the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Chik'n Fried Tofu!!! These are seriously so so good!! The best cauliflower wings I've ever had, an incredible preparation of tofu, and perfect dipping sauces to match. For mains, you really can't go wrong. The wraps and sandwiches are great, and I appreciate that they have a couple of solid tempeh options. The salads and bowls are good especially if you're looking to get some greens in, but I think their wraps and sandwiches have a better flavor and texture composition overall. It really just depends on your mood, there are lots of options!Especially in the spring or summer, it's lovely to sit outside and enjoy a meal here. If you're looking for a plant-based meal that's delicious and filling in AA, definitely try this place out!
