Went in before the Andre 3000 concert at the Temple (meh) with my girlfriend. Was starving and this place magically appeared, not a person inside. Looked a bit shady at first, but the nice gentleman took my order, we sat for a few minutes, and my coney's were up. Bloody. Delicious. Great bang for buck if ya got the balls for it. But if not, they got takeout! He was taking orders over the phone very efficiently, so give it a try, probably great. And cmo'n, 24 hours? If that's legit, boom.

Decades old Downtown Detroit 24 Hours Coney Island, good food nice double sided dining room. Understand it's a new Albanian owner recently, our first and last visit. Had a good Albanian Omelette on the menu, asked for Grits Nope got Potatoes , she had Chopped Chicken Breast with Onions Peppers and Cheese good food. Thanks to Ali the lady at counter that took our order. Place filled with street people waiting for take out orders, and a few door dash orders. Place has horrific reviews on Yelp and Google, should of read before we went. Out back in the parking lot disgusting mountains of trash and food outside containers. Look at photo has both rats and Birds enjoying the garbage. The rear door has garbage blown inside and outside door you walk through. I highly advise you never ever eat here, we survived but will you?Will our city and step up, probably not seems this been like this forever. The beautiful new apartment building next door has to be very upset with this . After a wedding I was in dyer need of food to help with the hangover I knew I was going to have the next morning. This place popped up and it was open late so it worked out perfectly . I got the onion rings and "glizzy" dog no mustard . I was satisfied and wouldn't mind going again for a late night snack :)

I'm not sure if the ownership changed or what, but this is not right. I paid for extra chicken and got this tiny container, like seriously? The whole flavor of the Detroit 1 pita has changed. I don't think I'll be going back. And let's not even get started on the parking in the back. It really needs to be redone. We shouldn't have to drive through craters just to get to the restaurant.

This was my first trip to Detroit, and I was told I had to make it to the original Coney Island for the Detroit diner experience. They have a pretty extensive menu, so I was ready to try everything! Detroit One has your typical diner setup, and down home service.We started off with the Flaming Kaseri Cheese. Opa!! Who doesn't love fried cheese?! So no complaints there... Next up was the corned beef egg roll, which was definitely different for me, but delicious! Since Detroit is known for its corned beef, I stuck with it, and got the corned beef sandwich. That and the fries were all right with me!Glad I got to get a taste at Detroit One!

Food is what you would expect, just basic diner food. Nothing to rave about. As soon as we went inside the ceiling was leaking so that wasn't pleasant since it is in the entrance. It's a bit confusing at first, almost diners have a sign for you to sit anywhere and waitresses but this place has you go up to a counter, order and then sit. It was fine, just confusing when you initially walk in. The customer service wasn't great either, lots of people yelling in front of customers and not friendly at all. It was cheap so that was nice but I don't think it was worth it. Some man came to our table and was asking for money as well, he just walked in from outside to panhandle inside the restaurant. It was a strange experience and I won't be back.

Idk who was on the schedule to answer the phones/take out on November 20th @ around 6:30/7 pm. But it was a black guy. And he's magnificent. He's the best thing that's ever happened to D1. He' provides great customer service and so pleasant. Also the cooks did their thing. 10/10.
