I live right by Detroit Eatery and it is my go-to spot in the area when I need a lunch that'll get me through the back half of the work day. Their Chicken and Lamb platter is an awesome value at $13. It's a healthy meal with plenty of chicken and lamb along with white sauce and red sauce. I try to avoid gluten, and this meal is one of the few that qualify while also filling me up. It has carved out a consistent spot in my value lunch rotation (along with Poke Poke Fish and The Eagle).There is a ton of variety with the menu, and my second favorite item is the Butter Chicken, which is also awesome. There's no Wi-Fi here, but there are plenty of tables to sit down and eat at if you choose. This is a take out spot, so no waiters, but the guys behind the counter are awesome and incredibly courteous. There is a lack of good value lunch spots in Midtown (Gus's, Royale at Cheese and others are overpriced). I'm glad Detroit Eatery has filled that void

So I usually visit this restaurant maybe once or twice a month. Really great Indian food. The butter chicken, the butter lamb and the chicken masala, just a name a few. The samosas are also really great.The restaurant is a fusion restaurant, so they also have Chinese and Jamaican dishes. I've never tried the other options but I definitely would recommend this place for Indian food.

The butter chicken and Jamaican beef pies were delicious! The beef pies were super flaky and buttery and the meat inside had the perfect level of spice though I wish I would have ordered something cool to dip it in. The butter chicken they give you plenty of tender chicken pieces warm spices and the rice is nice and chewy. The portions are outrageous. Lol - I ate on it for 3 days. They had my order to me via DoorDash within 30 minutes on a Tuesday in the middle of Detroit during rush hour lunch hour. I'll definitely be coming back to this place.
