I came to Detroit Duckpin with several friends for my birthday. It was nice to have a lot of space because it wasn't busy in the middle of the week. It is located in the basement of the Cambria Hotel. The guy up front was accommodating to wait until more of my group showed up to start the time on a two hour bowling reservation. The lane had a few minor mechanical issues that were resolved when we asked for assistance. Just talk to a worker if there is a problem with not getting your full amount of reservation time. I can't say what problems may be presented at a busier time though. The food tastes good. I liked the garlic parmesan wings and burrata truffle pizza. It's a little pricey. The pizza and wings were enough for 2 people, 3 max. One of the workers told me that typically it isn't allowed to bring food in because I had a birthday cake. I can understand banning alcohol or a pizza from another restaurant, but there should be an exception for a celebratory cake. There was a lot of metered parking around Cambria Hotel and I found a spot right across the front entrance.Overall, it's a great hangout spot in downtown Detroit for food, drinks, and games. Duckpin shares space with Five Iron Golf so along with bowling you can also reserve time for golf simulators.

We had a great time as a team. Food was good especially for the type of establishment. Didn't expect for it to be better than regular bar food. The ambiance was nice; great concept. Duckpin was so fun! Great date spot, group outing, even a place to roll solo as they have golf simulators, duckpin and a bar. Service was good too. Definitely will return!

Located in the basement of the Cambria Hotel downtown in Detroit along with Five Iron Golf. Great venue for a small group. Venue was busy but bar was properly staffed and service was great. There was a food menu but I didn't eat while I was there. The groups around had food and it looked like standard bar food/appetizers.

They need to be way more informative about what they offer, polite, and present. Service could improve by leaps and bounds as well as the ability to simply contact anyone at the Detroit location.

A hidden gem, and a fun place, to bowl, and simulate golf. There were plenty of activities and kid-friendly for the smaller members of our party. The food was decent however I felt like the service fell short. It seemed to be an average busy crowd for the size of the venue. (however, there could be a variance of reasons: it could have been more crowded than normal or understaffed). It's most definitely a place I would say try. I would consider it an option to return in the future in hopes of giving it a full five stars.

Duckpin is located in the basement of Cambria Hotel Detroit. The space is okay. Service is terrible and slow. The food was equally as terrible and pricey. This place has great potential. If you're just looking for a night out without food or drinks, this might be your place.
