Detroit City Distillery

If you haven't been on a tour of this location with Michael Babcock, I highly recommend it. His knowledge and expertise is unmatched, plus you get unparalleled insight!The tour is fun and the product is great. I don't even like bourbon, typically but enjoyed everything I tried! They also have a spot for events, if you are planning a wedding, work function, birthday or any other special event!

This place is dope!!! Full on speak easy vibes, super chill. You feel cool just being in the place, but you can also feel really uncool which is the way the bartenders look at you when you place orders and you don't have 100% familiarity. They have snacks and random food trucks, etc - but you goto this place for the brown liquors. A must stop and check out. Also, grab a bottle - the bottles are old school sleek and cool.

My husband and I tried the cocktails at their Tiki Bar during a block party with Marrow Provisions and Aunt Nee's (among others).We almost passed on them, but were super glad we went for it as the cocktail menu was bursting with exciting flavor combinations. We each got frozen cocktails that were blended to order and tasty as heck. I can't remember the names (and their menu is ever evolving so I can't find it online), but mine had banana flavors and husband's was coconut based. Both were well balanced and great accompaniments to the richness of the nachos we had (the reason for the block party).The cart itself has a very cool vibe and the bartender was particularly awesome. I wish I got a name so I could do a proper shout out, but thanks! It seemed like the staff was all pretty cool and that they liked working there which definitely makes for a more enjoyable experience for patrons.We will definitely make our way back to try the indoor establishment soon!

I am a whiskey/ bourbon fan. So this place is like Disney world for me. They have whiskey flight options at a decent price. Their cocktail menu is extensive. Prices are a bit steep. But you get high quality drinks with high quality ingredients. The ambiance is great. It's very Low key, dark, speakeasy type atmosphere. Nice music that not too loud. It's easy to have a conversation with your friends. Service is great. Friendly and patient. I really like this place and will come back next time I am in Detroit.

My favorite distillery! High quality, delicious cocktails! It's a cool, dark place to stop by and cool off on a hot day. Good vibes and friendly people.During the summer, they have outdoor block parties every weekend, where you can have drinks outside, live music, and a food truck.

Hidden bar, Distillery outlet? In eastern market. They emphasize Detroit Distillery products in their drinks. We went during the Halloween season and they were all on with decorations and drinks. There may or may not be table service. Last call comes early as they closed at 11pm. Pretty cool place

Absolutely loved the summer Tiki theme. Both drinks we had during a recent visit were delivious adn the atmosphere was great. This is a great spot to stop for a drink when exploring Eastern Market. They also had a stand outside that was serving a limited number of cocktails.

This place was so fun! We were Ty ere during the polish festival and there was live music and a great crowd of people! Service was fast and drinks were great! Really great atmosphere

As I was walking down the street, it was the music and the smell of food that drew me to the Distillery. Upon arriving I was impressed at the outdoor setup. There was an Indian food truck on site that was serving some of the most delicious foods and the Distillery had an outdoor stand serving up drinks to those that wanted to chill outside with the cool breeze. I walked up to inquire about a watermelon drink that I saw (it's literally served in a watermelon) because it looked so good. For $24 you can have the amazing experience. I forgot the guys name but he was great. I would definitely visit again. Ohhhh and from the pics you can see that the inside is just Gorgeous! Please visit if you have the chance.

It was my first visit there and I was totally impressed. Sabrina is an incredibly outstanding, customer focused host and bartender! She is a rockstar! And the ambiance can't be beat. I will be back!
