Detroit Blues Cafe is not just a bar- it's an experience! The best lounge in Detroit. Grown folk Thursday's is my night, have to get there early if you want a seat.To walk into a bar and get instantly greeted with a smile and a cocktail that breathes sophistication is a moment that should be savored.I highly recommend this business. The vibe, the atmosphere, the amazing music, excellent food, the ballroom dancing, and the well-dressed men are some of the highlights. The service is at an exceptional level of professionalism from the wait staff, and cooks, to the security team, consistently. The manager, Amber, is my no-nonsense girl, I just love her!The ambience here is always inviting and comfortable. It's always a treat!

I visit Detroit often my mom lives here. I was invited to the Blues Cafe by a good friend this past Tuesday 10/12. This was the best time I've had in a minute. The food was good the music was good too. It's the dancing for me. A mature crowd everyone was pleasant a greeted me like they'd known me for years. This spot is a hidden gem and I highly recommend you visit. Come correct to step, hustle and just have fun with the mature crowd.

Met some friends after work for a wind down here on a Thursday. There was live music with great music playing prior to their set. The service wasn't the best. The food made up for it as it was excellent. The lamb chops had a sweet sauce on them that was heavenly. Drinks were great as well.

I posted this review on the Facebook page of Detroit Blues Cafe, but I wanted to make sure I posted a review on Yelp as well. This is from September/2017:First time going, and very nice and laid back place, and spacious. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great music, and great food! Security was thick inside and outside. Glad I found a place east close to where I live, opposed to driving downtown or always driving west for the same type of venue. I definitely will be coming back soon.

This is a wonderful place to eat and dance. I ballroom and step dance here every Thursday evenings from 6pm-11pm. They will have day dance on Tuesdays from 12pm-4pm beginning September 7,2021. There is always plenty of security inside and out. It is beautiful inside with chandeliers, clean carpet, booths and tables & chairs. The staff is very professional and friendly. The food is excellent. The owner and manager are very friendly and caring however firm in managing this wonderful Detroit Club.

This was my first time to experience this venue. I was pleased when I pulled up and I saw security er'where. That alone was a BIG PLUS considering the area. I was there to celebrate with one of my sista girls and to have a great time. The cover wasn't too bad. Again, I was extremely grateful to see more security as while walking in. The DJ was spinning the jams and the ballroomers were on the floor. It was cool, however, I would have loved to hear the live band! The setup in the venue is nice and somewhat elegant with the lighting. Big appreciation for the clean bathroom. Perhaps have a battery air freshener in place so we don't have to interact with others scents. I'll speak a little more about my experience. The margarita that I ordered was extremely weak. The hosts were accommodating. I didn't order food. But I was told it was delicious. I did grab a piece of my sista girl cornbread and it was pretty tasty. Overall, I give my experience 4 out of 5. Keep up the good work. I felt safe and enjoyed my grow folks time. I plan to visit when the live band is playing. Hopefully, I will need to edit this 4-star to a 5-star!

Omg this is the new hot spot on the Eastside. Good soul food, good music dancing. Nice place if you looking for a new Suggar Daddy. The short ribs are excellent great prices plenty of parking in the back.

Nice older crowd on Thursdays. Very secure and watchful around the entire building; parking lot, Gratiot Street, etc. Great food and drinks. Highly recommend for ball-rooming.

I ordered the meatloaf dinner and it was cold, hard, and still pink in the middle. They forgot my peach cobbler. The macaroni and cheese was cold and oily. The mashed potato's taste like instant potato's from a box. I would usually give a restaurant a second chance, however the food was so horrible that I will can honestly say that I will literally never go to this place again.
