Delectabowl Food Truck & Catering

I rented this food truck for my baby shower. I did not want my husband and I to cook on a hot summer day, while tending to guests, and catering is just as "expensive" so why not rent the truck for full service? Scheduling was easy and payment via electronic invoice was convenient. My guests all loved it. It was a great deal per person. The huge truck fit right in my driveway and was easily accessible to everyone. The ambience of the backyard wasn't affected by a "truck" because it was cute! The staff was really nice and accommodated my guests with dietary restrictions. We had a lot less guests than expected, so I don't think I hit my minimum. I asked for some bowls to go for my guests that hadn't arrived in the three hours that the staff was working hard. They whipped them up and brought them inside the house for me. I would love to use delectabowl again for another party!

My daughter and I enjoyed dinner from Delectabowl this week, at the RO Farmer's Market. She had a baked potato....I had the Monster Potato Bowl.Our family loves going to food truck rallies and we were so happy to have selected this business. The people are great! Service with a smile, and super patient with my indecisive daughter. :) The food was fantastic and will be a definite future repeat.

Phenomal chicken gyro bowl at Detroit Jazz Fest. Perfect creamy tzatziki. Quick service. Can't get enough!

Wanted the walking taco but wasn't loving the option of beans instead of beef for a veggie option. Some guac and pico adds would also have been nice. We settled on the fiesta bowl with brown rice, tomatoes, corn salad, beans, onions, green goddess sauce, it was disappointing and lame. So bland and tasteless, some hot sauce or something might have helped, none offered and none found.

I personally didn't like it. It's was wellBelow average for me. I had to compare it to chipotle and qudoba and it's just no comparison. The best part was the spicy mayo. My rice was extremely al dente and bland. The chicken was dry and over cooked and it was over priced for the amount of food. The truck was invited to my place of employment and it was very lack luster. Service was ok even the guy was alone cooking, preparing and ringing up people. Definitely would not try it again.

So bummed by how unenjoyable my meal today was. All of the lines at the food truck rally seemed to have huge lines but I thought I'd try the longest one (must be good, right?) plus I've never had it so I wanted to give it a try.I ordered the "Spicy Tater" it had grilled chicken, jalapeños, pico, and some type of sauce. The potato was cold. It was cooked, but not recently that's for sure. It was unseasoned and the sauce that they put on it was so offensive that my dining companion literally gagged from just the smell of it. As soon as it entered my mouth I had to spit it out- the sauce on top was heavily laced with feta cheese which 1) doesn't even go well with the ingredients and 2) and had a vomit-ish taste (forgive the the poor description but it's the only one that could accurately portray the flavor) $8 for a cold and poorly executed baked potato was a huge bummer and the line was so long it wasn't worth it to take it back. I wish they would have had a note somewhere saying what was in that sauce. Delctabowl tasted more like a vomitbowl. Would not recommend.

Great food truck that I've had the pleasure of eating at twice now. I've had both the fiesta bowl and the beggars bowl. Both were tasty and fresh but my preference was the beggars bowl. The food truck is super fast even when the line is long and the employees are so friendly even after a 12 hour day they are still smiling. My only compliant which honestly isn't even a compliant is that I wish they had more than 3 options on the menu. They did have two baked potatoes so I guess those count but I despise baked potatoes so maybe I don't fully give them credit. I'd love to see what other bowls they can come up with.

The beggars bowl was everything I wanted from a bowl... (does anyone else find it ironic how short people standing on the curb look like they're in supplication as they reach up to collect their beggars bowl?)Delectabowl was at the Kerrytown food truck rally yesterday, and the queue easily took 45 min, proof of its massive popularity. My friends recommended Delectabowl from previous experiences with them, so I dutifully stood in line for a taste. The beggars bowl was just so good mixed up together. The staff proposed leaving sriracha off the bowl so I could add some to my liking - so note that option for those who love spice, but who don't have high tolerance for spice! Bowl seemed small at first, but was deep and filled with carbs. True hearty comfort food. I'm craving my next serving already!

To better enhance a vendor event, we hired Delectabowl for lunch service and it was AWESOME. Not only was scheduling the truck super simple but most importantly, THE FOOD TASTED DELICIOUS. I ordered the Mediterranean bowl but the big hit was the COMFORT bowl :) SO GOOD! Also, the 3 people working the truck were so nice! Fantastic service, fantastic food!

I had the comfort bowl. It was so good!! Perfect portion size. Nicely seasoned. Absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and provided fast service. I'm a fan!
