The atmosphere is a charming rustic cabin vibe with good service and surprisingly good food. The portions are generous and the prices fair.

I had the pot roast. The roast was served as multiple cubes of meat. Very unexpected, very dry, very tough. The gravy was unable to overcome the texture of the meat. Additionally, my plate had almost half a potato, not mashed and unseasoned under the pile of mash. Overall I was disappointed in the food I was served.Service OkAmbiance Ok

We love Deadwood because of our nostalgia for its previous sister restaurant Beaver Creek in Westland. It's nice to have a restaurant like this nearby - it has a VERY nice ambiance, particularly for dining with friends, it feels special.Pros: 1. Not a chain (woo woo!)2. Neat wood decor and lights and trees year round3. Menu has old favorites, plenty of options, and rotating specials.4. Solid hamburger- they have this down, and it comes with a generous side (order this)Con:In general, the staff/establishment thinks it's more special than it is. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful or descriptive there. Because of this, it's never our first choice. One extra tidbit for you - my sister reserved an "igloo" last week for her staff holiday lunch, and really enjoyed it. She is not on Yelp (boo) but I wanted to pass on her comments on their seasonal outdoor eating spaces. They sound neat, I know the reservations book up, and there is a minimum spend of over $200. In summary, try this place if you have never been here, and don't hesitate with the burger, it's delicious. The pic is a quick lunch I had with my husband last month, split the polish special, and played Keno at the bar. They plated it separately for us, which was nice and unexpected. It was a fun little holiday break. He gave the mushroom soup a thumbs up.

It had been years since I was last here; I have no memory of the meal, only the friend I was dining with. I did not make that mistake this time, writing this review as soon as I got home (as I always do) for a future post. The restaurant is rustic-looking and already decorated for the holidays. Twinkling lights and holiday wishes were sprinkled at the hostess stand, dangling from the ceiling and behind the bar. The igloos were aglow, as was the bright red gondola with seating for two.We got there just in time. Our wait was only 15 minutes, but those behind us were quoted 25 minutes. As we waited, we perused the menu. I liked that it had some old-fashioned items like pot roast, Sheperd's pie, meatloaf (with buffalo meat), club sandwich, and Maurice salad. For dessert, banana cream pie and chocolate chip cookies were available.I was all set to have the walleye, but that was before I saw the swordfish on the specials menu. To start, I had the spinach-artichoke dip, a flavorful and creamy dip served with chips and crusty bread. The swordfish was nicely prepared with green beans, almandine, and a fully loaded (butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, and chives) baked potato. As for dessert, the banana cream pie was excellent. Our server described it as deconstructed--a graham cracker base, banana slices, caramel sauce, and flavored whipped cream. Our server was busy but friendly. She helped us with our selections and ensured we were comfortable throughout our meal.

I'm never expecting much from this restaurant but I've been 3 times and all times, I have been satisfied with my meal. I decided on the fish tacos and enjoyed it (didn't care for the rice tho, it's okay). They don't have any booths (I can't remember exactly but the side we were on doesn't have any), but the decor especially during the Holidays is so festive. They do have deer heads etc mounted on the walls etc but overall it's done well and feels sort of like a "log cabin," cozy, hunting lodge maybe. My friends got a salad (it's very large) and we got some margaritas (spicy is pretty good, not that spicy imo $13) and martinis. Overall, this place is a fun one for Northville and is consistently good. The service is good and there is plenty of free parking in the lot they have!

Liked the decor with hunting pictures, mounted pheasants and elk horn chandeliers. There is some wild game on the menu like buffalo and venison chili. My table mates had the rib eye and prime rib and enjoyed them. I went with the shepards pie which used ground beef as the meat. Wish it could have been lamb or something other than ground beef. My pet peeve is when they clean and use the same cloth to wipe the seat cushion and table top.

Love the vibe of deadwood. Feels like a lodge up north with wooden cabin vibes, a real fireplace, and stuffed animals through out.I have been here during the summer and winter. During the winter, there are festive igloos you can reserve for a large group. Small parties as well, but there is a $260 food and beverage minimum. Since we had too many people for an igloo a few of us had to sit inside. No problem! Loved being by the fireplace and moose head. We started off with cheese curds for an appetizer. For dinner, I ordered the potato and cheese pierogis with brats. One of the nightly specials. So good!

Came here around 1pm on a Saturday and were able to get a booth for four people right away. It wasn't busy at all and our waitress greeted us quickly and took our drink order. The menu was a bit small but had some great options. We ordered the chicken caesar sandwich and the turkey club sandwich. Both were very delicious and a decent size serving! The blackened chicken on the chicken caesar was absolutely amazing! Cooled perfectly, nice and soft and juicy, great flavor! Overall nice experience here with the really cute decor and ambiance! Loved the lighted trees!

Make a reservation for this place because they stay busy! It's popular for a reason. I had the buffaloaf and it was actually really good and I'd come back again for it . My friend had the normal Mac and cheese and it was pretty good if you need a safe option.
