Davids New York Deli

Clean environment and prompt service. I ordered the corned beef sandwich and it was fantastic. Maybe 5 or 6 tables scattered around in this cozy place. Place your order and pick it up at the counter. Prices are reasonable. Will probably come again if in the area.

This is my second time trying David's New York Deli. I have to say that overall it was just okay. Growing up in Metro Detroit there was always an abundance of great Jewish Delis. You could say Corned Beef is a passion of mine. I was craving a good Sandwich and David's is not too far.I ordered a Corned Beef Dinty sandwich with a side of house potato salad. The sandwich is hot corned beef with Russian (thousand island) dressing and Swiss cheese, served on rye bread. It is served standard at 1/4 lb, which I guess I should have gone bigger. Now, I love that they serve Sy Ginsburg corned beef, it is the gold standard brand. The sandwich itself tasted pretty good and it was served hot. The rye bread was soft, but was missing that double baked crust.The potato salad tasted homemade, but I wish there was a bit more. It was served in a sauce container, although I guess it was only $2.My biggest complaint was the size compared to most standard delis. My carry out total was just under $20, which is a lot for a sandwich and a small side. The lady behind the counter seemed nice and the shop itself gives off the NY style deli vibes. I know this place is popular, but I probably would still drive to West Bloomfield or even Oak Park to get my corned beef fix. I may give another try in the future to see if I change my mind.

The food is good and the people that work there are nice, but the prices are too high. I can get a Rueben at my local pizza place that is larger and half the price and just as tasty. The dining area was also cluttered when we went there, but that may have just been a one time thing.

Great corn beef! I was going to eat half the sandwich and take home the other half... I couldn't stop eating! So much great food here, try the potato salad, chicken salad and pasta salad- all made in house!

I've had the pastrami Reuben a couple times on an onion roll and it is very good, I have had a couple of the sides including potato salad and no complaints there. However, every time I've been in there, the lady owner seems to be in a real nasty mood and talks down to the employees and others. She was like that on the 3 visits I've made here. Plus, the restaurant is not very clean, looks as if they never spent a penny updating or cleaning it.

Yesterday was my first time at the deli and I was very impressed. Sandy greeted me like an old friend and patiently explained the different corned beef sandwiches. I used her recommendations and placed the order. I brought the food home and watched my husband inhaled his sandwich! I ate mine with similar gusto and we both decided that we had to return for future meals!

Cuban sandwich was a 5-star.Reuben sandwich was waaay skimpy on corned beef. No more pickles included with the Reuben? These are unwelcome changes from my prior visits.Floor was very dirty. Leaves. Dirt. Sigh.Counter worker was wearing a mask properly. Thank you. Kitchen worker, improper mask usage.

Reuben and Turkey Avocado was amazing! Staff was friendly, the ingredients were fresh and very high quality. NY size is very large and enough for two. Make sure to let staff know you are splitting.

I ordered a corn beef sandwich and it was delicious! The second time I got a burger it was good and very tasty!! The owner is so great and she's always so kind. The service is amazing and you get a good vibe from the whole experience. You're definitely going to get service with a smile!! I had a sample of the chili and cabbage soup and I will be going back for that for sure!! I highly recommend David's New York Deli for your sandwich fix. They have homemade sides and everything is fresh! Give them a try if you haven't already!!!

I live right down the street from Dave's. I absolutely love their sandwiches. I have to force myself not to order from them every day. Last week they had run out of some items as it was getting close to closing time. They replaced the missing items with tastier and more expensive foods from their menu with no extra charge to me.
