Danny's Irish Pub

This is an ideal dive bar. Everything about it screamed dive. They even have a nice patio out back for extra space. Crammed and crowded on a weekend evening. Mostly young people but a couple older regulars. Vape dispenser and 1 bartender for every 15 patrons. A nice pregame bar.

I LOVE a good dive so I rate this place 10/10. You always have an experience here... it's never a night to forget. Although drinks are strong so you might LOLThey've got popcorn, a full bar, jukebox, breeze vending machine, arcade games, cigs for sale, and a graffiti'd up bathroom. The bartenders are always pretty blunt and busy considering there's usually only 1-2 for the entire place. Everyone working is super nice there!! But you gotta be nice to them. Sometimes customers feel entitled to over-the-top smiles and favors. Here, if you are nice you're gonna get that back. But if you're a jerk, you're probably not gonna have a great time lol. I think it's totally justified. I've been to Danny's many many times and I'll always continue to come back!!

Would give zero stars if possible.Went to grab a drink here before meeting friends for dinner and I knew it was a dive but damn, the bartender suuuuuuuuucks.I had my drink, but asked a question and she patted my arms and said "I've got customers"WTF. Never again.*Wasn't a good drink nor cheap so that didn't even make up for anything.

Me and my 2 buddies went in here, FULLY KNOWING this place is awful; via reading multiple bad reviews all having similar complaints. So we wanted to experience Ferndale's shittiest bar, first hand. We walked in a little before 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. We sat along the wall and the only acknowledgment the female bar tender gave us was a dirty look, we smiled threw a friendly wave. You know, like any uninformed optimistic patron would lol! We figured we'd still be ignored, and sure enough we were 100% correct !We waited for 10 mins before leaving. While walking out some asshole yelled "yeah, GET OUTA HERE". I actually found this sorta humorous because this place was awful on so many levels. Yet they still had this unfathomable amount of pride. Judgement free town my a$$

I WISH I could give 0 stars. I never leave reviews but, here we go. First off, I used to work next door to this bar, went in ALL the time, sent customers and business over to them all the time.That was years ago though.. went in during DIY for a quick shot, was very deliberately and intentionally ignored by all 2 or 3 of the bartenders who quite literally weren't doing anything. My friends I was with and I have all worked in the service industry and know how to behave in that environment and what I experienced was some of the rudest, bitchiest customer service I've ever experienced. News flash, if you don't like people, don't be a bartender. Reading all the recent reviews, seems like nothing has changed and ownership/management doesn't care. Don't waste your money or time and let the place shut down like it deserves.

Danny's, what can I say ? They are pretty much a little hole in the wall bar, but you better believe come St. Patrick's Day this bar is standing room only. You literally have to bump into one another just to get through the bar it's that crazy! I don't think the drinks are all that, but yet again it depends on the bartender. They do have a popcorn machine and two pinball machines, but nothing exciting. If you want a cheap mediocre drink I suggest you come here lol

tried to stop in here for a beer tonight i'm an old localON A TUESDAY AT 830 PM just to have to listen to the rude female bartender ignoring patrons and complaining about her own personal drama yelling at some friend she was serving, telling mei'm rude for interrupting her embarrassing bitching loudenough for the rest of the bar to hear. not that it was too crowded because her whining made everyone else leave before me.

This "friendly neighborhood bar" is anything but friendly. I live nearby and actively avoid going here because I have been met with rudeness and hostility from the bartender every time I've been in there. It's almost like one of those establishments whose intentional quirk is that they berate you while you order, except it's no shtick here -- they are just plain mean.If you hesitate for a moment while ordering, stand in the 'wrong' place, or order something they don't like or in a way they don't like, the woman behind the bar will absolutely ream you out.The last time I was there was because I was walking by with a group of friends and they wanted to go in. I told them about how rude they are and the group agreed that it couldn't be that bad. Upon ordering a beer and asking that it be served in a Ferndale Patio Zone cup, the bartender went crazy and said that of course they were going to use that cup because (unbeknownst to me) the person before me had ordered it that way as well, and that I "didn't f-ing need to specify that". Everyone quickly agreed that this was not a place to ever go to again. And that was nothing compared to how rude they usually are.It's a shame that this terrible unwelcoming place still exists in Ferndale, a city with an otherwise friendly culture and atmosphere. I love a cheap drink as much as the next guy, but it's not worth it to subject yourself to this.

Cranky old bitch was being incredibly rude. When I asked her why she was being rude she said "welcome to Detroit". Lived here for 25 years and have never had a worse bartender.

Nice overall small chill bar. Wish there was more food options especially at night time
