We needed our donut fix and our normal place wasn't open. But Daily Dozen was and not too far. They have a good selection of calorie bombs, but get there early for the best selection. Friendly customer service and a no-frills interior. You can get anything from the standards to ones topped with fruity pebbles and other goodies. They are very tasty and a good size. Definitely worth a try if you're in the neighborhood and looking to get some carbs in you!

This donut shop is very easy to find and very cute! My friend and I went in to pick up a dozen donuts toward closing time and there was still a nice selection! The lady who greeted and helped us was very friendly. The donuts are delicious and I definitely suggest stopping in!

Any far the best traditional doughnuts made. When you want a good fritter , or glazed doughnut these are best! My boys love the fruity pebbles doughnut .

Skip Sunkin' Donuts and Tim Hurtin's and patronize a family owned and operated donut shop that's been around for 36 years - tried and true! These are the donuts I remember as a kid (I'm 52 now). The flavors and freshness invoke childhood memories of getting to pick out my favorite donut. The owner told me they make 50 varieties every day. Talk about that old commercial, "Time to make the donuts!" Wow! A unique gem you'll find in their rack is the custard-filled French Cruller. I have no idea how they do it, but they're amazing. From the jelly sticks, old-fashioned sour cream, to the plain dunker, you're gonna love this place.

These are good doughnuts if I need to fix or bring some into work for my coworkers. They hit the spot. Are they high end artisanal doughnuts or the best I've ever had? No. They've been around a while and frankly, Donut Factory used to beat them out, but now they're closed. Such is life. Daily Dozen is now my go-to, and it's pretty alright. I can get my double-chocolate cake donut fix.... Provided they're open, and haven't sold out. They have weird hours and sell out fast, and I wish they would simply just make more instead of being mostly sold out on a Wednesday or Thursday at 10am? I can understand being sold out by 1-3pm but it is a disappointment and it leads me to believe there's a bunch of Sterling Heighters coming in droves greedily gobbling up everything early for their schools or businesses... The one thing that is a constant bummer for me is they discontinued the chocolate cream filled doughnut two years back. Funny enough, they brought it back for packi day- but that's it (ironically enough they were sold out of it!) But I've asked three different people why and they always say it's too hard to make or some other excuse. Why is it you made it for years before that, was a popular seller (it's delicious) yet now you're just too tired or lazy to please your customers? Come on. It's not that hard to blend chocolate into the white cream filling, especially if you were doing it before. And I haven't really found anyone else around metro Detroit who does a chocolate cream... so that's actually an incentive for you to make it. And I miss having my chocolate cream fix.

Strolled in at 9 am on Saturday. I justified my visit to get donuts just for myself, because I just gave blood - and needed sugar to prevent myself from passing out (at least this is what I'm telling myself, and my nutritionist).I had heard rumors of a filled Crueller, which I felt I just needed to try. It's covered in chocolate, and filled with custard (I would prefer kreme filling instead). This donut was just OK, I definitely think it would be better with a kreme filling. But my eyes locked on the Samoa donut, covered with coconut, chocolate (and maybe caramel) - and I just had to try this one too. The Samoa was by far the better of the 2 donuts, and the donut I would get again - not the filled Crueller - unless they filled one w/ Kreme....hint,hint.There were some other odd ball flavors I haven't seen like a jelly stick, lemon stick, strawberry moonrock, and a dipper donut w/ a handle so you can dip it into your milk or coffee - nice.$1.25/donut is more expensive than I've seen, as is $12/dozen - and I don't even think that's a bakers dozen. Oh well, not bad if you only get donuts every 6 months or so for your work peeps. I overheard the server giving a donut hole to a mother who had a child in her arms, waiting to be served, saying "here, for the child. Children and dogs get free samples". I said I would have to bring my Flash up here, and the owner gave me one to take home to him. He enjoyed his as well.Well, now that my blood sugar is up, and the risk of fainting has passed, due to my 2 donuts, I will be sure to make it back there every now and then. Gotta try that strawberry moonrock!

This bakery is underrated! I decided I wanted donuts today, but I am sick of chain donuts. I came in at 11:30 on a Sunday, a half hour before they close. They were almost sold out. I would say 25+ flavors were options earlier in the day. I'm sure coming earlier in the morning would give me super soft donuts. The flavor is so good for every one! The original glazed ring donut is super tall and puffy. We also had a cake with maple frosting and a cinnamon-like crumble, which had an ample amount of both. The blueberry glazed cake was rich in flavor. The frosting for his chocolate donut was extra for the kids, with only half covered in sprinkles for some moderation in mess. The woman working the counter was very nice, and sweet to my young son. She also had us try the buttermilk donut, where there were quite a few left compared to the couple of others - also underrated! I said no thank you, and she slipped one in to try. It's a buttermilk batter covered in glaze. Excellent! Not hard inside or outside, a perfect combination. I will have to get more of those.I will definitely be back to grab more! I had to stop for a photo for this review so some are halfway eaten/gone.

I've been going to the Sterling Heights location every week for almost a year. They have the best variety and tasting donuts anywhere in town. The staff is always friendly and they make you feel at home when you set down to have a coffee with your favorite donut.
