Custard Time

Oh custard time, how do I love thee? More than waiting in a long line in the sun, 30 people deep with sweat rolling down my back! We used to live here and this was a family fave so we were not going to miss a chance to enjoy this divine location! It did not disappoint. So much nostalgia, and just like I remembered. This made my day/night/week/year. Love this place!

Many options at this popular place to get a Hard Scoop (they have Guernsey ice cream), custard soft serve (vanilla, chocolate or twist) with many toppings or even dipped. They also have flurries and sundaes (if you don't want too much sauce, just get it on the side as one time we got the butterscotch sundae and it was literally drowning in sauce). They have some outdoor benches and a very small parking lot. Nice local place to go on a hot day!

This is very old timey quick grab and chill spot. They have TONS of variety and the service is quick and kind in helping you. I will say I have choice overload from all the options. I got a baby chocolate chip cookie dough in a sugar cone and it was good (I wasn't in heaven from amazingness but I'm not an ice cream head). I really wanted soft serve with chocolate dip but it wasn't in the menu and then after we sat and ate I saw someone eating it so that's on me for not asking but with there 100 item menu I figured they'd have mentioned it in there. There isn't really a sit down spot indoors just some chairs (think the ones at a park but plastic) and a lot of people are in their cars/trunk. I would come again to try the chocolate dip

This is your local small town ice cream shop of Northville. Their large offering is custard, which isn't for everyone as it is thick. But, they offer a variety of things on the menu for a rather cheap price that make it a great option for everyone in the family. This is always my go-to for a quick ice cream, but can have lines of greater than 30 minutes on warm days.

This place is always packed all summer long so be prepared to get in line. I think it's a great place to stop if you are walking by or in the area but it's really nothing special. Everyone who works here is super nice and they have pretty quick service. The menu is limited to a few popular options and they have a lot of "specials" that you can only get on certain days

Parking lot here is pretty crazy, and the lines are always long. Good indication of summer when this place is open. We got the Strawberry shortcake sundae for 475 and the medium caramel and pineapple Sundae for 450. Both of these come with whip cream and cherries we told them to hold the crushed nuts. Refreshing treat for a hot day, but the stop by every once in a while.

First time here, came here with someone who came here as a kid. 5 stars for vanilla custard, smooth and creamy. Tastes as good as Costco's. Reasonably priced menu.My soft serve was extra soft for some reason, see my picture. Good thing I got it in a cup.

10/10 it was so great for both myself (dairy-ish free) and my husband (custard lover). Don't look past the frozen bananas! They are delish. They have a wide range of options - all so good! From slushes to shakes and flurries and vegan dole whips!

This has been my favorite ice cream place in Metro Detroit for years, my mom and I usually visit once a week. This season, their flurries, which are normally packed full of candy filling, have been awful.1) They've been putting in half of the usual amount of candy.2) They've been putting in 1/2 the amount of custard with the candy, mixing it up, then filling the top half of the flurry with plain vanilla ice cream, and not mixing it together.At first, I thought it was just a mistake. But out of the ~20 flurries I've had this season, maybe two have been fully mixed together.Additionally, they raised the price this season. Totally understandable IF you're going to keep providing the same quality product.I don't know about everyone else, but I don't want to eat through 1/2 a cup of plain custard just to get to what I actually ordered + paid for.
