Stopped in 10 minutes before closing on Saturday night with a friend. Curvin's specializes in ice cream made with liquid nitrogen! But they offer traditional sweet treats like milkshakes, sundaes, and floats too! Everything is easily customizable. I chose a strawberry base and strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry for my 3 free mix-ins. It was very interesting to see them make the ice cream and the texture of the ice cream is incredibly smooth. So delicious!Will definitely be back again to try out new ice cream combinations!

Such a fun experience! I've never had liquid nitrogen flash frozen ice cream. So the experience of watching the ice cream being made was mesmerizing for me. There's a process to making a Curvin Cup! First you pick your size and base flavor. Small was 4 oz at $4 and regular was 8 oz at $6.50 (definitely the better deal). I choose the small, but if I was with hubby we might share the larger size. Although I could have eaten 8 oz that wouldn't have been wise and 4 was plenty. I choose chocolate as my base and three mix ins - pecans, brownie, and fudge. I really enjoyed my choice although it was a little rich. Next time I'd get another flavor of ice cream (maybe butter pecan) to help balance the richness. But I definitely enjoyed both the mixture and the texture of the ice cream. Although this place is small, there is some seating if you'd like to sit and enjoy your treat. That's what my friend and I choose to do, which also allowed us to listen to what others ordered. With so many options, you could visit often and never get bored. Check out Curvins if in the area!

The ice cream is great, I like the novelty of the liquid nitrogen, and I support local family business. If you have a little time on your hands, Curvin's is excellent. If you have a restless 4 year old that you promised an ice cream treat, you may want to try someplace a little faster. Also, if there's a line, come back when there isn't. This is not Dairy Queen. They literally make the ice cream in front of you. Think more on par like the wait for a great craft cocktail. One last note for when you go, expect a harder ice cream than you're used to. It's really cold but a little hard to eat with the plastic spoons they give you.

This place makes ice cream right in front of you... It's delicious! They have a small play area with some toys and board games in the back of the store. It's a kids friendly place.

Great family run ice cream shop fun to watch them make your order they use fresh cream and liquid nitrogen and mix in front of you - pick the flavor and you get 3 add ins to go with it my favorite was coffee with brownie bits heath bar and nuts - we went several times during the month we were visiting with my son in northville - if you are in the South Lyon or surrounding towns i suggest you check them out - downtown south Lyon across from post office

Unique experience to town and great ice cream. Ice cream is made on the spot based on your desirable flavor and add-ins. Choose from two sizes, flavor of ice cream, upto 3 add-ins/toppings at base price. They also have smoothies, milkshakes and Michigan's own Dairy Fresh ice cream. It takes a little time for them to whip up your concoctions but it's well worth the wait. They have a limit as to how many can stand within the building so lines may appear longer than actual wait.My flavor combination: p.b. ice cream blended with Reese p.b. cups, Chocolate shavings and topped with chocolate syrup. Chocolate-loving son was happy with chocolate ice cream + M&Ms blend and sprinkle topping.Cookie dough and cake batter are both soft dough-like consistencies add to the cream and smashed in. Do not recommend blending the two but equally tasty on separate occasions.

Decided to stop in to this place for the first time this evening. The ice cream is delicious and the staff is great!
