This is my second time here and I almost always wait until my second trip before leaving a review to test consistency.Cups N Chai's service is . The staff is so personable, patient, and helpful. The food prep has a level of finesse and quality that is unmatched...case in point we ordered the chutney chicken flatbread and Lahori chicken melt and they were able to balance the perfect blend of spicy kick without compromising the delicious taste of the chicken and cheese in addition to en ever so mild sweetness. No spicy sweats for me. It made our meal an almost unexplainable joy to devour. If you want to experience excellent service followed by a meal with quality fresh ingredients then this is definitely the place.

The service is unreal. The owner offered several samples of custom coffee and chai blends. The chocolate cake and sugar cookies are divine. The ambiance is a bit all over the place and Instagramy but cute. I'll be back. Probably a lot.

This place was a fun surprise! We walked in on a Sunday afternoon, and it was so busy. Loved to see how engaged the community was in a plaza that I wouldn't tag for a lot of traffic.First impressions: They have the menu displayed on a TV behind the counter, but it was so small we couldn't really read it. They have menus available for you to take from the counter and read, but it feels like the TV could be used in a more efficient way. I also think the food descriptions could be tweaked. The description of a Bombay Masalt Melt was "CNC fusion of classic Bombay sandwich." But... what's in a classic Bombay sandwich? Again, these are just little things from a non-Indian customer. We found a table for us to sit, wait, and eat our food. It was a busy time of day, but it really hadn't been cleaned, and there was some sticky residue. However, we did meet the owner (we think?) and he was friendly and welcoming. These things seem like small hiccups that can be easily worked out.We ordered the Karah Chai, the Amore Chai, the Pulled Chicken Melt, and the 2 piece Samosas. Overall, we had a really great experience. The only caveat was that my wimpy spice pallette was definitely sweating from the spice level. Again, I am a wimp. I'm just not sure I could have handled more than half a sandwich. The samosas were a solid choice, but they took awhile to come out, and they were good but not great.I'll absolutely be back to try their other drinks, though we'll see how brave I am to try and order some food again. This place is an otherwise great addition to the community.

Excellent food, specially when there aren't many options for this type of food in the area. Tasted authentic, perfect for lunch or late afternoon snack. If I had to be super picky I think the anarkali chaat could have used more vegetables like more potatoes or something. The chai could have also been a bit more karak. But non the less everything hit the spot. The service was excellent. The place looks nice on the inside. Prices are great, will definitely go back.

My sister got me desserts from here for my birthday. I tried the Kathi rolls too. They keep really well in the fridge and have great flavor. My parents loved them too!

Been wanting to check out more local places to get a caffeine fix outside of chains and found this. It was pretty quiet when I was there - late afternoon on a Tuesday. The staff was super attentive while I decided what I wanted. I got a dirty chai and a rose petal cake. Super fast service. The dirty chai is perfect - exactly what I wanted on a chilly, gray day. And the rose petal cake? Good grief it tastes like happiness. So good. Unlike others I've had you can actually taste the rose which I absolutely adore. Definitely coming back to try more!

This is my goto place . And can't miss to mention the complementary chocolate cake we got when we celebrated a friend's birthday. The vibe is so chill with the perfect playlist. They serve fresh so allow them some time to prepare. They were spontaneous with service.

This is probably closer to 2.5 but I'll round up.I'd been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to do so, but was disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype (at least for me).My companion and I did not get any food, and maybe that's a highlight that could've boosted my rating.Seating is limited, sterile feeling, and close together. Outdoor seating wasn't available due to weather, but I could see that as being a nice alternative to indoor. There are a bunch of TV monitors above the register but no menu information there. Instead, you have to work off of printed menus. They've been open too long to not have this worked out. If the plan is to use the TVs for actual viewing, I would still think that odd for a coffee house. However, as it stands, they are just blank TVs hanging on the wall which detract from the decor. We ordered a latte and a masala chai. Service took longer than expected, albeit still friendly. Most importantly, our drinks just weren't that good. The masala Chai needed more warm spices and seemed almost watered down (maybe too much mik?) and my companion said the same about her latte. It would've been nice to get our drinks in a real mug as opposed to a paper cup. I feel like this standard at smaller coffee houses.Wish this establishment the best, but I don't know that I'll return.

Having visited Cups n Chai at both their Ann Arbor and Canton locations during my stay in Michigan, I was left thoroughly disappointed. The prices are excessively high, especially considering the subpar quality of the food and the complete lack of service. I tried several items from their menu, including the Lahori Breakfast sandwich, Bombay sandwich, and paratha omelet, but none stood out in terms of taste or authenticity. The Kadak Chai, a staple I was excited to try, was far from what I expected. It lacked the robust, bold flavor that defines a true Kadak Chai, and I suspect it might only appeal to those unfamiliar with its authentic taste.Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I'm genuinely puzzled by the 5-star ratings. It makes me wonder if the reviews are self-generated. With five weeks left in the area, I won't be returning to Cups n Chai. There are plenty of other local spots to explore, and I'm hopeful they'll offer better quality and value for the money.
