Cornbread Restaurant & Bar

The way this restaurant is packed to the rim had me excited for my random choice to pop in here. There is a small patio outside and that was where we sat since every table inside was full. I ordered the sweet tea, and a trio dinner either catfish, whole wings, and ribs, with mac, greens and yams. And of course an order of cornbread, with honey butter. I love that they provide honey butter but it does cost extra. Every single thing I had was on point, greens had an amazing flavor, yams were great, and Mac was good. My friend had rib tips and said they were great. This place does not disappoint and I cannot wait to come back!

Pros:- large portions - friendly service - tasty, home style flavors Cons:- unbelievably SLOW service omg. It took nearly an hour for our meals to come out. Yes, it was a Saturday night, but an hour wait after ordering is quite lengthy. The kitchen absolutely could use some work in managing orders and sending them out in a timely manner.

The food was excellent and they have nice quality. The menu was incredibly great. The chicken was so good and well-cooked. BBQ Rib Tips were nicely seasoned and meat was so tender. The Salmon Croquettes were so tasty and very delicious too. The sides were perfectly great too. The food served promptly and staff were all nice and attentive.They have good establishment and great setting with good ambiance. Nice service!

Just ordered from cornbread and we got these awesome shoe box lunch meals during black history month. Thanks for sharing this information. Knowledge is power!!!

Excellent first time visit. I started with the gumbo, followed by the catfish with mac & cheese and collard greens. The gumbo was very good with a dark roux which I prefer. I then followed that with some excellent catfish and some fantastic mac & cheese and greens. I love that they have hot sauce at the center of each table too, as it should be. Great sweet tea, basket of cornbread, sweet potato muffins and peach cobbler too. Very clean, welcoming restaurant with excellent service by Ayress. I will be visiting again. I really enjoyed my visit.

My sister & I went to Cornbread tonight for dinner. It was a busy Friday night, but we were quickly offered seats at the bar. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. We ordered the salmon croquettes, BBQ rib tips, collard greens, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese, sweet potato muffins, and cornbread. We enjoyed every last bite.

From Beans and Cornbread to Cornbread Restaurant & Bar, still a winner for me every time. Personally I like design/layout/vibe of the old location but the new location cool. I get the "Kitchen Sink" everyone now and it covers all my bases, Lobster, Shrimp, Catfish, Gumbo, Collard Greens, Rice and Fried Okra. I might even add a side of Mac and Cheese if I'm really feeling big in the waist lol.

By far this has been one of my favorite spots out here Michigan. The food was even better than what it looks like on pictures. From the sweet potato cake fritters to gumbo style soup. The cat fish was cooked to perfection, the Mac & cheese was fire. The collard greens delicious. The potato salad was also very delicious. The ambience here is cozy. They had a cute bar inside that's looked very comfortable and Súper convenient if you have to wait for a table. There aren't many tables and I could see it getting really active on a busy day. Our party had a little hiccup with a seating/table request and the manager was able to accommodate us. I do believe that the service could be a bit more attentive and mindful to all customers in the establishment. Our overall experience was delightful and satisfactory. Definitely recommend this spot to everyone who reads this review and I will definitely be returning soon.

Wonderful dining experience! We were seated immediately. The food came out fast, hot, and delicious! The staff was very friendly, professional, and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and has great music. If you're looking for great food and amazing service; Cornbread does not disappoint.

The foods is good I have been here before. But this time I was trying to celebrate my birthday with my friends and they told us 30 mins. Okay cool. Why did 1 hour past and we 3rd place in line? If the time wasn't accurate then don't tell me it's a 30 mins wait. Then my friend went in to see what's actually going on. The man couldn't tell her nothing but we're on the wait list. Two of my friends left and we thought that would make a difference because we were a party of 7. Nope. All I'm saying is if you know your guest is there for 90mins don't tell your next party is 30 mins and have us waiting for 2 hours ! I took my name off the waiting list. DO BETTER!We quoted you 1 hour and had a table for you 65 minutes later. No one responded to our text.You didn't quote me for an hour it was 45 mins when we called. Pulled up told us 30 mins put us on the waiting list at 2:30. Proof of the picture.
