Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen

The macaroni and cheese is phenomenal. The prices are on the higher end for the area, but worth every dime. The staff was super friendly and had great suggestions for the menu. Quick service and fantastic ambiance - I love the vibe of this place. The pews are so comfortable. Great place for dates and family meals.

We've been to The Union a handful of times now, and are typically very pleased with our experience! We have ordered various items such as the Mac and cheese (with pulled chicken and pulled pork), the bbq pork sliders, and the house salad. Everything is good, but nothing tops the mac!!The interior is cozy and unique. The service is always pretty nice, too!

Gluten free options!! Amazing Mac and cheese and they have gluten free too! Johnathan is the best server you'll ever have. He is always very attentive and friendly. Recommend!! Please always call before you head up to make sure they have Mac and cheese left! They go quick. Love the ambiance and the church vibes.

Huge selection of beers on tap to choose from! Openings at the bar while waiting on your table to become available. We were told 25 minute wait at 6 o'clock on a Friday which isn't bad. We waiting only about 15 minutes. Great selection of food to pick from. We had Mac & Cheese, the Panini Sandwich, and 2 cheeseburgers. Everything was very good. We haven't been here in quite a while and after this evening we wondered why? We shall return!!

Always a good spot for some comfort food. Can not say enough about the MAC-N-CHEESE hands down the best in town.

Went to celebrate A birthday and Cinco de Mayo. Not the place for this but Honcho's was booked.The appetizer corn chip and Salsa was ok. The salsa gets a 10. The broken to smithereens corn chips gets a Minus 2. Had our waitress paid a little closer attention and came right back , They We would of, I would of sent them back. They got eaten any way as the kids devoured them and we picked through to find a few that could hold salsa. Off to a bad start. Salsa is extra too for $3 but a lot of restaurants do that and theres was worth it.Sandwiches such as the Jalepeno pulled pork had maybe 3 large teaspoons of meat. Not much for $16.95 each.My Union Reuben of corn beef was (3) sliced lunch meat and tasted like it too $17.75 not worth the trouble.We order a pizza with cheese for one of the kids who would not eat it. Theres a hint.Kids chicken nuggets got devoured by the other child.We ordered 4 margaritas for $40 bucks and salt on the rim must be extra as we git none. No waitress again. There was good tequila in there though.The veggie portobello caprese I heard was very good!The roasted potatoes were bland. Period. The Potatoe salad was excellent. Service by Anna was a 3, We tip 20% regardless of service. Those waitresses have to put up with a lot.I know Mc Donalds is expensive but to lay out $200 for 4 adults and 2 kids makes the value of this place less appealing then a Happy meal. Too many better places along the block and the city I might add, than to go back here.

Seems like we always make our way to Clarkston and the Union every trip to Detroit even though it's gotta be 30/40 minutes out of the city.We flew into Detroit for a family visit last week and went to The Union on our way to family house. The food is always lights out and that day was no different! Chicken noodle soup was outrageous. Of course we got the famous Mac n Cheese, two orders actually as one was for us and. The other to take along to the house and share. The surprise winner though was the homemade meatloaf! Maybe the best I've ever had, top 2 at the very least.Thanks for the great meal and see y'all next time.

We accidentally went here thinking it was something else. Super busy. We tried their Mac, I'm sure it's good to most, but we personally didn't care for a seasoning in it.

Not my best experience here. I've been to Clarkston Union several times but tonight just was not good. Our server was fast and pleasant but the food took a really long time and the restaurant was not that busy. I ordered the Tuna Bella rare and it came out well done. The lettuce was mostly the white part that you throw away. My girlfriend's dinner tasted like it sat too long under a heat lamp. The Mac n cheese was good.

I've been coming here for years with the family, and always loved it. Don't get me wrong, the food is still wonderful. Service was friendly, and atmosphere is great. But it was so disappointing to show up on a Sunday and find out it was brunch only. I know that brunch has it's place. But if I am forced to have brunch after around 11 a.m., I don't like that. I specifically knew I wanted the cobb chopped salad and an order of chips and salsa to go. I was unable to get these items (or any of the usual comfort foods on their normal menu). The trip to Clarkston Union is one to two times a year (after the tree farm in late November and occasionally in the summer if in the area) and I guess I never paid attention to the fact that we have never gone on a Sunday. It reminds me of the time my daughter and I went to another restaurant at 1 or 2 p.m. and they were only serving brunch. She was unable to get the vegetarian chili that we specifically went there for.Anyway, I will say that (everyone knows this if they've been there), the mac and cheese is amazing. Next year we will be sure to go on a Friday or Saturday, but I suppose that's my fault for not checking. Not sure what the obsession with brunch is at some places.
