China Chef

China Chef is a recent discovery. From the moment I walked in, the staff's friendliness stood out. It has the warm, welcoming atmosphere of a long-established, family-run business, and you can tell they take pride in what they do.I was craving good Chinese food one evening and decided to give them a try, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious--flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The service was prompt and efficient, which made the experience even better.

Excellent food - best General Tso's we've had in the area (and they can actually make it spicy on request!). It's a bit of a drive, so I'm not here often, but everything we've tried has been great!

Very tasty take-out. The ABC was very crispy with perfectly cooked interior. You get an entire package of pancakes with the moo shoo, so you don't need to order more. I am used to only getting three with an order - so super kudos. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time we are in town.

Carry out only here. The food is solid and recently has gotten much better. I used to think of this place as a decent average place (nothing wrong with that) bit they've stepped it up. The only thing I have to say that they could change is that they don't use enough heat on their spicier dishes, but thats just an opinion. I like spicy dishes hot!

New to the area and was looking for quick Chinese take-out. The woman at the desk was friendly and took my order quickly. We ordered Mei Fun (Singapore noodles) and Lo Mein dish - both were great. Portions were good size, pricing is what I would expect, two entrees came to $31. Very happy with what we had and will be back again.

Food was great! ABC was delish. $9 lunches! The gravy was a little bit different than I'm used to, but it was good. The "sub gum shrimp" came with a brown sauce.. normally is a light white sauce. I'm not sure if this was a mistake or if they just serve theirs differently. It was good, but I wish I would have known. Egg rolls were great- with bean sprouts.

Used to be much better and at half the price. Their spiciest is still pretty bland for this Angeleno. Prices are now much too high for being take out only.

Family owned and ran! The food is consistently outstanding and fresh. The shrimp are large and cooked perfectly every time. The best Egg Foo Young I have ever had. Best Chinese on the East side. Take out only, feels like an authentic New York City eatery. Give it try. Ive need had a bad meal at this place. THE BEST!!
