Carlo's Pizza

Usually pretty good pizza but the cheese bread is so good! The buffalo chicken pizza I also pretty good!

Of all the Detroit-style pizza we've tried (and we've had them all), Carlo's stands tall. My mom first discovered and recommended this place. It's her favorite, and now it's mine too. Incredibly good world-class pizza

Carlos makes a good pizza. There's an old fashioned taste in there not found in most chains. I think it's the sauce that sets it apart. The bread sticks are full of Italian cheese and a step above the competition too. I'm not a fan of the large pizza specials. It's the smallest large I've seen and the toppings are clearly skimped upon. Like most East-side pizza places, they ration the pie to meet the price points. Uninspired describes it best. I was impressed by the New York style pizza however at $11.99 it didn't include any toppings. Who sells a New York style pizza with no included topping??? When I was in NYC pepperoni always came with the deal. BOTTOM LINE:Good pizza with the usual nickel-and-dime business practices found all over the East side. Real rating is 3.5 stars.

I ordered delivery Friday night (November 29th), which included an Antipasto salad, Carlo sticks and a pepperoni pizza. Wake up the next morning with food poisioning. Mind you, that was the only thing I had to eat all day.

EDIT TO ADD!! Thank you Katie for reaching out and letting me know that it was a website glitch and for apologizing on her employee's behalf! She's always been kind when I go there and offered great customer service!! I've been coming here for over a year and the food is good but I had an experience today that kinda put me off of Carlos. I was attempting to place an order online and the website advertised a large 1 topping and Carlos bread for $16.99 but when I did my order it came up to over $20. I went back and triple checked that I checked every box correctly but still coming up way over price. So I call the store to place my order instead. When the worker answered the phone I explained to him just to let him know there might be a website glitch and he repeatedly interrupted me insisting I was clicking wrong buttons when I know I didn't because I did it 3 different times making sure I had everything correct and still came up way overpriced. I told him it's no big deal I'm gonna just order over the phone. He informed me of a coupon they had that was only good till 2pm. (It was 1:40 at the time) I informed him I was placing an order now but for 2:45 and asked if they'd still honor it since I'm ordering now but picking up in an hour. He then said "umm I didn't hear a word you just said" I repeated my question and He laughed in a very condescending way and said "no you can't just say hey I'll order now and pick up at 6pm it doesn't work like that" I didn't have a problem with not being able to use the coupon just a problem with his sarcasm, phone etiquette and customer service.

Very disappointed! Placed a pickup order and was told it would be ready by 6:50, mind you we placed our order 30 minutes prior. We walk in and are told "sorry we never made your order because it got stuck in the system" that was a lie because they had our salad ready before we even walked in. They gave our pizzas away! Very upset!!

First time and the last time. There's a lot of pizza place's to compete with in the market, literally a pizza parlor on every block. This is sub par given the quality vs. cost. Just keep going to the place you already love or try somewhere else.

Come here whenever I'm in the mood for a good home style pizza, I recommend the super special pizza.

Pizza is great. service is friendly and fast. Good value for your money. Definitely recommend

Consistently delicious every time. The food is dependable and the ingredients are quality. I recommend it over the bigger chain restaurants.
