Called for a pickup order... asked for the pad Thai to be spicy... 0 spice.... And the sushi did not taste good. Noodles were over cooked and soggy. The vegetables were chunky and undercooked. No flavor. Rolls looked good but were also really soggy and messed up our stomachs.

I'm about to drop a truth bomb that just might break Yelp. Brace for impact: My first experience at Cafe Sushi was better than my first experience at Noble Fish. Periot. For starters, they were open when I needed them to be - no weird or random closures. Crooks and Maple, next to T-mobile. A very cute little scene (dining room currently closed), but I would hardly consider this a store front. Yes, the sushi counter/case is literally RIGHT in your face when you walk in - who doesn't want this?! They have no choice BUT to keep it clean! Everything was clean and fresh and right there to see. The lady running the place was polite and professional, no complaints. She said the order would be ready in 20 minutes, it was ready in 20 minutes. She greeted her regulars on the phone by name and even remembered some of their orders. The only disappointment was not being able to sit and experience the coziness and inviting feeling of the dining room, to no fault of theirs! I look forward to a day when places like this can fully re-open. And now, the food. 5 stars for freshness and quality. Not one SINGLE funky piece of fish. No weird strings of hard-to-chew fat in the salmon, you know what I'm talking about. I won't even try to go into detail. Just observe this fine work of art. This is what 20 minutes and $61.00 for a carry-out at Cafe Sushi gets you (miso soup not pictured). Now tell me this isn't worth it. I'll wait.

They're down to a very small storefront with just a few booths- there once was a gorgeous larger restaurant with full sushi bar/high top and a happy hour everyday-Now it seems primarily focused on take out but if you get lucky, you can sit and eat too. I always order the chirashi at a sushi place because I'm fish forward- less add-ins- and it tasted fresh, delicious and presented well on a sturdy bowl of rice. ($24)You beverage choices are down to bottled water basically with the loss of real sit down dining- I assume the overhead was too much during Covid and take-out helped them survive.

We used to always frequent the Cafe Sushi sit down restaurant before they closed. Now they have a small place that's basically take out only. I thought the sushi was just as good. We got our favorite...The Block roll!! We really missed this roll. We also got triple spicy tuna, spicy California and crab Rangoon. Everything was great!

Best to come during happy hour, M-F 4:30. Really good agedashi tofu in a tempura broth/sauce. The bonito flakes on top are fresh and there is some sort of uuuuber spicy paste on the rim of the bowl, which complements the fried tofu and broth nicely. I like the Brett roll for specialty rolls. The reason for 3 stars is that if you are not coming for happy hour, it is very expensive. Also, the craft cocktails that they have are all extremely sweet, and I find that the sake offered is more on the sweet side, as well. Also, the side salad is just...sad. Watery bottom, white lettuce that is wilty and more mayo-consistency than the traditional ginger-based salad dressing.All in all, when I am in the mood for sushi and don't wanna spend an arm and leg on great quality sushi and the Americanized version will satisfy my craving, I stop in for happy hour and get the fancy shmancy rolls and walk out content.

Love Love this place. This is the same place that was near the walmart on 15 mile. This is on Maple $ Crookes. Same building as Starbucks. If you wondering if this was the amazing place that was near the walmart. They moved locations after covid. Their menu is amazing. I suggest their lomein. They are the only place i can find skinny noodles like this. The sushi amazing too. This place is a must try!

The best sushi I have ever had! Must try the Jamison roll - crab and avocado can't go wrong. General Tso bento is great! Husband thinks the have they best hot and sour soup too. Only drawback is that the restrooms are ice cold in the Fall and Winter. Nov 2016 update: Yeah agree with other reviews that waitstaff are sometimes not the most attentive but the food is still great. We now live an hour away and carve out time to change me here.

This used to be china king... China King had great food for many years. At some point there was some remodeling because they had a sign on the door saying that they were combining restaurants and going to be called Cafe sushi. I'm not impressed They changed food providers or got different chefs or the previous regime is no longer there at all. The food was not very good and yet another classic establishment has gone down the tubes...So sad...

Ordered 3 combination plates, none of which came with the egg roll nor the vegetable fried rice. My chicken was also severely undercooked.I called back once I got home to get a refund, and the woman who picked up the phone said they don't do refunds and proceeded to burp in the phone. She told me that I did not order the combination plates, and tried to tell me I ordered the Asian dishes; yet, the prices I paid for the meals were the prices for the combination plates. This place is classless and has outrageous prices. Never coming back, do not order from here.

The food was okay. I ordered a caterpillar and an egg roll. The egg roll was burnt and hard as if it had been sitting for hours. I would not recommend.
