"Had a wonderful dinner, and overall experience down on the riverfront. Went with the filet which was perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. The zip sauce wasn't overbearing. We also had the bolognese pasta which was also good. The service provided by Erica was above par, especially compared to other restaurants of similar Caliber. I also have to give a shout out to the hostess Suzie who helped me with the parking garage and directions! Andiamos validates parking and you really don't even have to walk outdoors to get to the restaurant. And don't forget about the great happy hour 4-6....we'll be coming back for sure."
"The way this restaurant is packed to the rim had me excited for my random choice to pop in here. There is a small patio outside and that was where we sat since every table inside was full. I ordered the sweet tea, and a trio dinner either catfish, whole wings, and ribs, with mac, greens and yams. And of course an order of cornbread, with honey butter. I love that they provide honey butter but it does cost extra. Every single thing I had was on point, greens had an amazing flavor, yams were great, and Mac was good. My friend had rib tips and said they were great. This place does not disappoint and I cannot wait to come back!"

"We went there a day after thanksgiving and good that we had reservations coz this was definitely a busy place that night.. the ambience is very cozy and they also had live Italian music too.. food was great too.. between the 3 of us we ordered the wine special they had, caprese salad, pear Gorgonzola salad and penne con vedura something pasta.. all 3 items were great.. we also liked the bread basket they got initially and seems a lot of people had mentioned they liked that too.. For desert we ordered the tiramisu which is homemade, definitely not a disappointment.. it's very rare I like tiramisu and their's is definitely high up on my list..We will surely try to come here again, it's a good sit down restaurant"
"My favorite place for Italian food! The service is always great, great ambiance and consistently great food... The chicken Toscana is my favorite and usual go to... the sauce itself is delicious and love that it is not super lemon forward. Some times Picatta and other dishes are so overpowering with lemon and Toscana is not that way at all..."
"The pizza is always delicious and the ingredients so fresh. The salads are also really good. They have a craft cocktail selection and the drinks we have tried have all been tasty! We generally sit at the bar and the staff are friendly and attentive."
"Service was great. Food was delicious.I grew up in the kitchen at Luigi's helping my aunt uncle run the kitchen and I always tell my staff how wonderful the food special the pizza was So for our company Christmas party this year I chose to take everybody to Luigi's for dinner. I let them order from the menu from stakes to pasta. Everything was outstanding. Our waitress was wonderful. She answered all our questions. I can't say enough about this almost historic restaurant come early and make a reservation Because they are always busy."
"Deeeeelish! Great food and service. We gobbled just about everything up. Also, always love when the manager or owner (not sure) comes out and says hello and asked how our meal was. We will be back for certain"
"We had a yummy meal where we bought a bunch of plates and shared it all! Our server was attentive and brought both still and sparkling water which was a nice touch. We sat outdoors so I can't speak on the interior of the restaurant but the patio was perfect for us to enjoy the great weather! Like I said in the photo, I am still DREAMING of the burrata salad. It was creamy and flavorful and just perfect! I wanted to take an order to go and just might have if I wasn't so full lol. Definitely a must-try!! There are so many delicious options on the menu and from the looks of it, it's a rotating seasonal menu which means the ingredients are fresh and delicious! I'd go back again if I'm even in Birmingham, Michigan again. I'd probably drive an hour or two for the burrata salad alone haha. Seriously though. Get the burrata."
"Food was really tasty! Fire fries for spicy people only, I would say. Ambience was nice. Very busy but great service."
"9-24-24: Came in today for a business lunch and was happy to see Gluten Free Options on the menu. The service and food were enjoyable."
"Visiting the city on a business trip, I was fortunate to find this gem in the local shopping center located in walking distance from the hotel. The reviews were spot on but it didn't give justice to the freshness and bold flavors that I enjoyed from first bite to the last. Thank you to the server for recommending a delicious cocktail to compliment my meal. I knew I would be returning for more during my time there and so glad I did."

The dining experience was top notch all the way around. This was a birthday dinner so expectations were pretty high. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and shown directly to our table. The view of the river from the table was excellent. Shortly after being seated, our server Talesha arrived. She was a pro. Her smile lit up the room. After introducing herself, she took our drink order and left us so we could peruse the menu. The made to perfection martinis arrived promptly and Lori and I placed our food order. We ordered the calamari and burrata as apps. Both were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of peperoncini in the calamari. It added a very nice kick to the dish. For our entrees, I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the fettuccini limone e granchio. Both entrees work cooked to perfection and the presentation was lovely. During the meal, Mike Nowinski (Operating Partner) stopped by the table to see how we were enjoying the meal. After telling him how pleasant the experience was, we visited for a while about the history of the restaurant and the other restaurants under his management. He is a professional and operates an extremely well run business. I'm giving the restaurant a 5 star rating. The service was superb, the food was excellent, the pricing was inline for a restaurant of this caliber, and the entire experience was memorable. Lorie and I will return and hope we are lucky enough to have Talesha as our server and get a table side visit from Mike.

Pros:- large portions - friendly service - tasty, home style flavors Cons:- unbelievably SLOW service omg. It took nearly an hour for our meals to come out. Yes, it was a Saturday night, but an hour wait after ordering is quite lengthy. The kitchen absolutely could use some work in managing orders and sending them out in a timely manner.

Everything was amazing! Front of the house was so understanding- we were late due to the snow storm. Servers were awesome and the food was delish! It was for my son's birthday and they did everything possible to make it special for him. It was also his/our first birthday without my husband who passed on thanksgiving. The empty chair with ice cream was for him on his birthday.

We had a great experience at Luciano's. I haven't been here since the 90s! It was just as charming as I remember it! Very old school Italian feel! The service was great and very quick. The food though? It was outstanding. They really feed you! Bread, soup or salad, pasta, and the main course. Soo much food. The bread was an absolute delight. The chicken Florentine was better than mine! The chicken Alfredo looked delicious! We will absolutely be back!!!!

Service is amazing and the food is always outstanding. I typically order off the daily specials but the lamb chops and veal Ala Oglio are also favorites. Best house salad dressing. Our favorite spot for really great meals as well as a great selection of wine.

"We had a very disappointing visit to D'Marcos last night, with a group of friends. Some specifics:The minestrone soup was barely warm when it arrived. By the time the waitress checked in with the table, the entrees were arriving, so it was too late to request that the soup be heated. The house salad was limp with far too much dressing. The smoked provolone pieces mentioned in the salad's description were nowhere to be found. It contained only one-quarter of a single slice of tomato and exactly two beans. Here again, I couldn't request a fix because the waitress did not reappear until the entrees were being set down. While the meat and pasta on the braised short rib entree were very good (albeit just barely lukewarm), the celery and carrots in that dish were cold and raw. Not undercooked. Raw and icy. Pretty stunning for an entree that was priced at $30. Bread wasn't placed on the table until we were almost done with the entrees. The pumpkin pie cheesecake was very tasty, however at $14 for a very small piece, it was vastly overpriced.Entrees for two of the people in my group were completely inedible and had to be sent back. With no beverage, my tab was a whopping $59 before the tip. I wouldn't mind the amount but nothing about this meal justified it. The service wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. Our waitress seemed bored and disinterested. She didn't check in with us. A hostess stopped by the table as we were paying our bill, however that's far too late in the meal for anything to be corrected. In an area with many great places to eat, D'Marcos was a big, expensive disappointment."
"We were a party of three, we had the 14oz. New York, the 8oz. Filet and the twin lobster tails and a great bottle of wine. The Food was totally amazing. The service was beyond excellent thanks to Daniel. I must also add what a beautiful bar every selection of bourbon you could ever ask for totally amazing."
"The price is a little high, but it's delicious and we always enjoy dining here. The service is great and we love the environment. Everyone is always friendly and a great experience."
"Fun menu & great food!! We came around lunchtime on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. It's a cute, comfortable place for brunch, lunch, or dinner! We noticed that the other servers were very attentive, but felt ours was the opposite.Still, we will be back to try more of their menu!We got the Hawaiian flatbread, chicken tenders, and strawberry cheesecake pancakes for dessert!"
"It is a little upper scale dining, has tablecloths and cloth napkins. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The menu was overwhelming of delightful delicious dishes which made it hard to choose which one, so we tried several per personThen to find out the also had gluten-free options which is above and beyond our expectations. We ordered the marinara with penne, the seafood Diablo, cheesy macaroni, spaghetti with meat sauce, the chicken and sausage over gluten-free pasta, side salads and minestrone soup. We had gluten-free bread as well as regular wheat bread. Everything we ordered was amazing. We also had the most awesome sweet waitress name Madison. She was very accommodating and even took our leftovers and not only packaged them into containers but sealed them up with Saran Wrap and dated them so we knew when we put them in a refrigerator when we had ordered them! Well that is definitely above and beyond service! We drove an hour to get there by a recommendation on Google. We will definitely drive an hour to go there again it was a wonderful experienceI wish I had taken more pictures of the other presentations of the meals."
"Very nice place. The ambiance and service is fabulous. I was here previously but only to have a drink. This time we ate at a table in the quieter room.Me: Tuscan chicken (Grilled chicken breast served over top mashed potatoes. Topped with bacon, tomato, spinach, and a delicious cream sauce). Delicious indeed. Him: Korean Steak Sandwich(Thin Sliced Ribeye steak seasoned with a sweet and spicy sauce. Topped with an Asian coleslaw and chipotle ranch. Served on a toasted sub bun). He loved it. I'll definitely go back again"
"Went there on a Tuesday night, and got the family meal and two alcohol drinks and one soft drink. $54 for two topping pizza, four meatballs with pasta, the cheesiest cheese bread, and an antipasto salad. It was incredible. We will be back. I'd post pics of food, but... we ate it too quickly. Yum yum."
"Great food. I had brunch. Risotto was amazing. Waffles and chicken. Perfect! Service was great also. 90 min from reservation time and we strolled the garden and the church. Beautiful stain glass. Ceiling and chandeliers. Bell tower rang at noon. Wonderful 90 min experience on Sunday."
"Young boys can be quite picky, but the Old Detroit Burger Bar has made it to the list of placed our son will request, and I can't say I'm sorry.I've recently discovered the steak bites (probably an appetizer, but I have them for dinner), and my son always gets a burger. I've tried several of their drinks and enjoyed them all as well. While the food is good, I've got to admit that another draw to this particular location for my son is the arcade. He loves playing Miss PacMan til our meals are ready.Definitely an enjoyable place for a low-key family dinner."
"We had my daughter's 25th birthday dinner. We had a great time. I also joined the wine club. I had the vegan corn and tomato risotto. It was good but the portion was small. Our server was great!"
"This joint can be described in 3 words: Reliable, delicious, and welcoming. When entering the establishment, you are hit by the intoxicating aroma of authentic Italian food. Whatever you get, whether it be pizza or subs or chicken or pasta, you will not be disappointed. Personally speaking, the subs are out of this world, I get them every single time. They are perfect; with crunchy bread, fresh veggies, tasty meat, and great dressing. I eat these subs on my daily lunch break, I cannot recommend them enough. The staff are charming and accommodating. I love the small talk that I find there, which pleasantly fills my afternoon. After your meal, definitely pick up a desert. Maria makes the best cheesecakes! It really completes the experience.I've gone out of my way to review this restaurant, for good reason. The genuine palate pleasing experience is worth it any day of the week. Make sure to give this place a try!"
"My one visit back to Michigan always happens over Mother's Day Weekend. My mother chose to try a new place for brunch than our usual. The Roc delivered beautifully. Located off of E Huron River Drive, it's located where Fiorelli's once was. We made reservations ahead of time of our party of 6. The brunch is set up buffet style with more than plenty to choose from. The brunch offers your usual salads, meats & cheeses, fruits and breads. It also includes, salmon, chicken, pastas, sautéed vegetables and stuffed mushrooms. They have a side carving table of prime rib. The salmon was a bit overcooked but the rest of the options were great. I can't forget about the generous options on the dessert table. After eating way too much for my main meal, I still had to try a few to complete my meal. Perfect. If you read my reviews, you'll notice my love for coffee. Since I was having brunch I had to have a few cups. Well the smooth and intense flavor from their coffee made my refills more than 2. Since I was focused on conversation I forgot to ask the brew they used. I would go back just for that to say the least. It certainly gave me quite a bit of energy. The several waitress that were checking on our table were attentive and welcoming. I think they knew I was drinking my coffee quickly and always came around with more. It was a successful brunch with the best mom in the world!"
"The food here is absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are huge! I got an ahi tuna wrap with fries instead of chips. I ordered the tuna medium rare and it went very well with the citrus slaw and chipotle ranch. It also came with a teriyaki ginger sauce for dipping! The spinach artichoke dip is so good that sometimes my friends and I will get two orders of it! The flour tortilla chips have the perfect crunch and don't break when you try to dip them."
"Oh my GAWD.My cousin and I stopped on a Thursday afternoon for a drink at a new place we hadn't visited. We fell IN LOVE with this little quaint spot! The service, the food, the atmosphere was all amaze balls to us. Anne was great and so was everyone else we came in contact with I ordered lobster bites and let's be honest, I was expecting a fried ball of lobster. I am sooo grateful for what I got instead! A nice piece of toast DRENCHED in butter with huge pieces of lobster on top that was also DRENCHED in butter. I mean REAL BUTTER! If you're looking for a nice little spot with signature drinks and food, THIS IS IT"
"This was my first time at this location, I went to their previous Birmingham location years ago. My fiance and I do delivery pretty frequently from Sidecar and it's either this location or the Farmington one, it always varies. I was working in the office today and was able to walk here, so I ordered small cheese curds, the 2:00 a.m. burger minus the ketchup, and a fried chicken slider, hold the lettuce and hot sauce, and extra maple syrup, which is my go-to order. I also like the mushroom Swiss slider and a few others, but these are my favorites. For takeout, I met Larry at the bar and was able to pay with my credit card. I phoned my order in because it's cheaper than doing DoorDash pick up.This feels like a smaller location than the previous Birmingham one, but apparently they also have a cocktail bar next door and a pizza place all rolled into one. I've been looking for some quick takeout places for when I work at the office and I'm wondering if their pizza place does takeout.Sidecar isn't cheap, my bill was about $19 for those three items, but it's always delicious. Note that they charge you slightly less if you pay cash versus using a credit card, slight pet peeve of mine but oh well. (I still used my cc... It was about 40c more)"
""Especially at nightI worry over situations thatI know will be alrightIt's just overkill"(Men At Work)OK, here's a serious philosophical question. When it comes to chocolate, is there such a thing as overkill?I ask because on the menu at the Grotto is an incredible $36 Chocolate Charcuterie platter overflowing with chocolate-caramel bar, truffles, gourmet San Francisco chocolates, dipped strawberries, pretzels, ganache, and more. Our group of four couldn't finish it, and after we offered some to the other three couples with us, there still were a few pieces left after we paid our bill and left. The Grotto was fantastic- stunning decor, beautifully decorated, impeccably serviced, with enough excellent food and wine to make you feel like royalty. So, head down that staircase into the Grotto and enjoy a wonderful experience."
"I love this place. Maybe my favorite place for a romantic dinner and a couple of glasses of wine. There is just something about the entire atmosphere! Highly recommend for date night!"
"Ate here for lunch today and it was amazing per usual! I ordered the corned beef on an onion roll with pickles and chips. Did not disappoint! Service was great and quick. Highly recommend!"
