"Our ABC dinner group came to Pho Tai for dinner tonight because we were on the letter "P". (We go to a different restaurant each month, beginning with the next letter in the alphabet.) There were 8 of us, and we were seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant. The menu was very large, and offered all kinds of Thai and Vietnamese food. Our group was pretty much split in ordering the two cuisines. We had one server, and she was very good. She kept everyone's orders (and bills) straight, and she was very good about refilling the water.I had Pad Sew. The portions were very generous; even after eating, I took home a quite full box, and those that had the Pho took home nearly a quart! Prices are reasonable as well. Definitely worth checking out."
"I've been looking far and wide for a decent Thai restaurant near me, the place I use to go to was so delicious but they sold it to someone els and it's lost its luster, meaning the food is not that good anymore.... Anyway my husband and I found this little gem in a strip mall in Auburn Hills and I'm glad we did yummy food and great service... get there early, we got there at 11 when they opened and there were already four tables filled... just go you'll love it"

"Delicious fresh tasting pho with a side of crunchy brean sprouts; really flavorful broth; very friendly service. Crab Rangoon and spring rolls also fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!"
"We were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant. This place was recommended by a friend, and we decided to try it out. We came in on a Saturday afternoon for an early lunch. We were seated right away as the place was empty (by the time we left, it started to get packed). We ordered two Pho bowls because it was cold, and I was pregnant and needed something warm and hearty. The restaurant inside is clean and nice. I love the décor and the open space. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The food came right away, I was taken by the huge bowl we got. My mouth started to water as soon as I smelled the broth. The first sip of the broth did not disappoint. Everything was so good. I ordered extra protein to add to my bowl and the portions were fair. The vegetables were fresh, clean and enough for all the food. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and they didn't get soggy as they sat in the hot broth later. Overall, one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. I will be back again and try their other dishes."
"Good sushi in town! Came here with friends and was very happy with the sushi. Rolls are decently priced and left feeling full. Great place to order to go!!"
"This place, this place, this place!! Incredible Pho. The broth is super flavorful, the portion sizes are great, ask for extra meat if you want that. My family of 4 came to dine here and the service was incredible as was the food. So much so that I came back the very next day! The best Pho in the city HANDS DOWN!"
"Not sure if we went on the wrong day, but our group was craving noodle soup after a night out and were recommended this place by an acquaintance. The girls that ordered the Pho said that their broth was lacking flavor and that their noodles were a little too hard.I ordered the Bun Mam, and also thought that it was really bland. I was expecting a stronger shrimp paste flavor, but all I could really taste was a light soup with a slightly spicy flavor.I will say though that the portion sizes were big for the price - just wish there was more depth in flavor.Their homemade soy milk was bomb, and the viet iced coffee was good too. Both the fried and fresh spring rolls were very tasty!"
"Food is excellent and place is super clean. Love the original restaurant and this doesn't disappoint. The portions are big and very fairly priced. Had the grilled pork chop and got two huge pieces! Also had the summer rolls which were super fresh and tasty. Service came with a smile and was ready when they said it would be! Definitely will be back!"
"We chose this place for dinner after we visited Twelve Oaks Mall. This area is a commercial haven with every mall variation imaginable...indoor conventional, satellite plaza, strip plaza, etc. This restaurant was in Twelve Mile Crossing, which is basically an outdoor mall that really didn't resemble a town center as much as an urban neighborhood or a downtown side street. But whatever you want to call it, it was a nice feel that created a cool vibe. This particular complex was mostly restaurants with establishments such as Black Rock, a Bar Louie, a BW3 and others. The parking was ample although, because it was a big lot, on a busy night you could end up parking a little way out.The atmosphere was nicely sedate and comfortable when we visited. The dining room capacity was perhaps seating for sixty but there were only a dozen or so patrons when we walked in. It was wonderfully chill. We were seated right away and our server attended to us quickly. She did a good job taking care of us throughout our visit. The menu was straightforward and contained several Vietnamese standards. In addition to the Pho, there were also rice and noodle plates. We were attracted to these in trying to maximize our flavor and limit our calories. I chose the Grilled Chicken which was accompanied by rice, a fried egg and salad. It was well done and the taste was excellent. The sweet dipping sauce (nước chấm) was a nice complement. My wife chose the Grilled Pork Chop with the same accompaniments and she was equally happy with her selection. We ate about half of our servings and each had a small meal to take home.I was happy enough with the value I had hot tea to drink and my wife had water. So with food, drink, tax and tip, our outlay was $32 USD. At $16 per person with another small meal to take home, I was happy enough with the value. We'll keep this place in mind when we're in the area again."
"Our usual go to for Vietnamese is Little Saigon, but we decided to give Pho Hanoi a try tonight. I'll start with the ambiance. When you walk in, you'll see a random table of hand sanitizers, masks, gloves, etc.. super random to be selling at a restaurant, in my opinion. You'll also see that half of the restaurant is randomly covered with banquet chairs and linen tablecloth. There is only about 11 items on the menu and you are given water in a paper cup with no refill. The food came out quickly. I ordered the pho house special. The soup was very very bland, even after adding a ton of hot sauce, lime, and basil. The portions here are bigger but also more expensive. My husband ordered #8 noodle dish and the noodles were all very mushy.. he didn't really care for it. Overall, the food was ok, but personally, I think there are better Vietnamese restaurants in the area."
"My husband and I got the banh mi sandwiches to go. We loved them!! The bread was so fresh and warm and crispy. I had the pork and he had the chicken. Both were great!! So far our favorite banh mi spot in Michigan"

My wife and I recently visited for a date night. Our server was pleasant and offered great recommendations. She checked on us occasionally as one expects and did not overrun our conversation. The food was delicious. We had eggrolls, fried rice, and peanut curry. We both enjoyed our meal, and looking forward to trying other dishes.Worth noting that the floor had quite of bit of debris under and near tables where others had sat...it would behoove the restaurant to have the staff clean not only the tables, but also the floor....a quick zoom broom could make all the difference. Mind you this is not being picky about a small scrap of paper, this was lots of food debris that was very conspicuous.

Pad Thai, coconut curry chicken, yellow curry, the soups, and everything else has been so great. They have been the best carry out we have found over the past six years.

The food was amazing and the popping boba tea was even better. Actually I think I'll go up there again today after this review because I can't stop thinking about the tea Definitely worth every penny

Favorite Vietnamese restaurant, bit of a drive for me but so worth it. Always bringing family and friends who have never been. Restaurant and bathrooms are always super clean, staff is super friendly and helpful explaining dishes, and dish presentation is beautiful.

The food here is so delicious! Everything is made with so much passion. Today we had -1) salad- the ginger dressing is homemade and fresh and amazing. Nice portion too. 2) pho- outstanding! The flavor is perfect! 3) ocean pleasure sushi- it was so delicious and very light for being a fried roll. It was perfect. 4) banana roll, so different and I loved every bite. 5) Vietnamese coffee- what's not to love, it was also made perfect! I love this place. It's very pretty and very clean inside. And the service is excellent! I look forward to coming back here. I give them ten stars.

With quite a few South East Asian choices in the area, Que Hmong hits the mark.Fresh, abundant and authentic Pho and Rice/Vermicelli plates.Busy, smallish seating area that is very affordable.Try the others then come over to the real deal.

Came here on a Saturday night for a quick dinner for 3 people around 7:30pm. It was empty at first but quickly filled up within the hour when 3 more parties showed up. The place is small-- 4 small tables inside and one 2-seater outside. The inside tables can be combined for larger seating around 4 people at a table. It seems primarily like a takeout place, however. The pho came in a ceramic bowl but the dry foods came in takeout containers. Drinks are also in to-go cups. The menu is small and simple. As the basic Vietnamese fare (see pic). Thai iced tea could use a SMIDGE more condensed milk but some people prefer it not too sweet. I still appreciated it. Drank the whole thing! 3.8 out of 5 stars. For appetizer we got 2 orders of summer rolls and for the main, house special pho and house special vermicelli. Flavor-wise it was slightly blander than what I'm used to with viet food (compared to SoCal). For example, the vinegar based sauce for the vermicelli was not tangy or vinegar-y enough. And the pho soup base was only 3 out of 4 stars. The summer rolls I was happy with because they are so big!! I think it might've been missing more basil leaves but overall I'm satisfied. The peanut sauce was AMAZING and portion was large too. Peanut sauce was actually the star of the entire meal experience. I also like the portion size of the mains as well. Food: 3 (flavor), 4 (portions)Service: 5 Ambience: 4 (it clearly says Express. As expected for what it advertises as a takeout place, but wish there more seating. Don't need those game vending machines. Need more seats!). Clean, bright. I like the cushioned bench seating. If I were the owner, I would remove the gumball machine (do children use these anymore?) and remove the stuffed animal vending machines. And replace that entire wall with seating. Also there must be a better place to put the soda fridge like behind the counter so that they can put more seats. That's how you make money!!! One party almost left bc no seating and they didn't want to wait. I hope this will establishment flourishes and expands its menu. Not enough good viet places since covid caused the good ones to close down. Would come back!

"This is my Mom's FAVORITE restaurant. They know her & my Dad & what they like to order! I love that! The parking on the corner is not for the restaurant. The restaurant stays pretty chilly, but your pho will help warm you.Servers are tentative and the food comes out pretty quickly.Mom asked for hot tea (unsweetened) & it was tasty. Ill go the route of my Dad & ask for extra meat, and my Mom's route to ask for extra veggies the next time I visit."
"Not sure why ppl rated this place low. If they know real authentic Vietnamese they'd realize this is how it taste. The food is not doctored up like these other fake places. The food I ordered was very flavorful and I will definitely return... I ordered the fried rice and veggie tofu, my daughter had the rare steak, I also ordered the soup and rice wrap. Even the sauce for the wrap was delicious!Reviews are good and all, but somethings you need to come try for yourself."
"So glad we found this place! Came here for lunch and the place was packed, and I see why! Food was great! Full of flavor and fresh. Service was quick even tho it was busy. People here were super nice, always asking us if we need anything else. Definitely recommend, try it at least once, you won't regret it"
"Came here from a friend's recommendation last week and loved it. Been back twice already! The banh mi is crispy and delicious, but the shaken mango is my favorite thing. It is something that is very easy to make at home, but the convenience of being to get some on the go is great!!! The inside is pretty cute and I enjoy the music that is played. The person taking my order is always listening and really nice as well! I also haven't tried it from here yet, but the grilled rice paper is something I haven't seen from other Vietnamese restaurants around here. I went back to Vietnam last year and saw "Vietnamese Pizza" everywhere on the streets and it was this! It is really good and fun to eat (but nothing like pizza! Def just a name that makes tourists feel more familiar haha). Other Vietnamese Americans I've talked to had no idea what I was talking about when I said Vietnamese pizza! I'll tell them it's just banh trang nuong now though haha."
"I'm happy to sayThis Thai meal settles the day It's one of the best meals I've ever had!We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef, Hot along with a side of Red curry sauce. It was sooo flavorful and enough for 2 adults and a teen. The spice level was just what I expected, probably the equivalent of medium at other places. Or maybe my spice level has reached its heights. Either way, delish! The beef was tender and the sauce was even better than my all time favorite: Bai Mai Thai. Don't get me wrong. If I'm downtown Detroit, I will still enjoy it. Yet, it's always a delight to find a place close to home that's fantastic!!! Check it out!"
"Getting food by carry out is the new reality, so it's great to find a place with really good food. What I love about New Asian Star is that they execute the classic Chinese dishes - broccoli chicken and sesame chicken - flawlessly while also adding cool things you don't normally get from a Chinese restaurant: Pho, a hearty Vietnamese soup. The breaded chicken in the sesame chicken had a crispness and a glaze to the exterior, unlike the soggy breading at some places. I thought the fried rice was robust and flavorful, but my wife didn't love the onions in the rice. The chicken in the broccoli chicken was cooked properly and had a sauce on it that went well with white rice. The brisket pho was quite a thing to get as a carry out, since there are so many parts to it. An entire carry out container had most of it: the lean brisket, rice noodles, peppers, scallions. Another container had a massive branch of Thai basil, plus bean sprouts, and scallions. The broth was in a third, massive container. I can see why this can serve as a main course (for more than one person). One thing I also love is the massive amount of fried wontons with any soup order. The hot and sour soup is neither hot nor sour, but it's hearty.Curbside service was a little slow, but that's a testament to how good the place is. The word is out. It's worth the wait."
"First of let me say the food was over the top. No seriously the service beyond measure. And I loved the fact they had plenty of room and it was quiet here. I had takeout but I'm glad I finally could get the chance to stop in."
"Absolutely....Go to Thai Tanic in Sterling Heights!!! It's just a hole in the wall with maybe 4 tables, so it's probably mostly takeout. We ate in and the service was as if we were in a fancy restaurant!!! Those Moscow mule cups are what they give you you with an ice cold decanter of water!!! We had the sampler platter as an app (picture #1) and I ordered the peanut curry with tofu as my protein. I ordered it medium and it was good!!! They also have Boba Tea there but I don't personally like that so didn't get any. I overheard the people at the next table saying how good their Boba tea was'!!Such a good find, I will definitely go back!!"
"LeRoy: Would have needed to be tricked into entering the establishment, but likely would have enjoyed the dumplings and chicken pho. Katie: I got the dumplings and the chicken spring rolls. The chicken spring rolls are true authentic Vietnamese spring rolls made with rice paper. They were, in a word, exquisite, complete with the peanut sauce. The dumplings were steamy and delicious. I think that's all I have to say. Caitlin: It has been years since I've had a fresh spring roll, and the shrimp spring rolls were ECSTASY!! The peanut sauce was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. When my chicken pho came out, it was a portion bigger than my entire head. I ate and ate and ate, and STILL had an enormous portion to take home. I loved the plentiful gluten free options, and I'll definitely be back for more!"
"Tasty pho! The soup is very well balanced and it's a hearty bowl of noodles for a cold night."
"Wow- this spot is insanely good! We came here for pho and it did not disappoint. I got a shrimp pho and my friend got a beef based pho- both were incredibly delicious and SO flavorful! We also got a taro smoothie with tapioca pearls- I didn't know something could taste so good! The shrimp rolls were flavorful too. Our server was very nice and the food was out quickly. The vibe of the interior was interesting but I love a theme. Overall, we were very impressed and will be back as soon as possible!"
"Excellent and authentic little Vietnamese place on the NW corner of 12 Mile & Orchard Lk in Farmington Hills. No frills, always spotless, maybe 16-20 wood tables. Place your order in the back then have a seat. Note that they do have a surcharge if you pay by credit card. Diverse clientele. The food. Their beef Pho ($15) is unbelievable with a rich broth, fresh veggies and good quality lean shaved beef. All the fixings are included. The beef and chicken VietnameseSandwiches (banh mi) are all superb with crunchy veggies and tender meats (around $10). Ask for jalapeños on the side. For lighter fare try a salad with their sweet and vinegary dressing.Try the salad roll appetizer with creamy peanut sauce, it's to die for ($9.50). Shrimp and other seafood is above average quality. Rice bowls are available and savory.Vegetarians will be quite happy here. If you like Vietnamese this place won't let you down!"
"Strolling around campus and was thinking what should we eat for dinner. Yelp came to our rescue. The main pic of this place on Yelp is super misleading but we decided to give it a try! Glad we did!!The service is impeccable! Though, they were abit busy, our server was super patient and highly accommodating to our dietary needs. Since we are on limit diet, food has to be bland but the portion sizes are super shareable. My husband I shared two dishes and we were able to take some leftovers. We had chicken pan friend noodles and korean chicken bbq. Both are delicious! We'll definitely be back again to try other items are on the menu. Thumbs up"
"This was truly one of the very best meals I've ever eaten. The layers of flavor! The fresh quality, the presentation. Mind blowing. We drove up and it was in Mexicantown and as tourists we did not understand... all the signage was in Spanish but the neighborhood was nice and we were a little early as they open at five. We drove around, looking for the restaurant, but all we could find was a coney island and so I had to call and it turned out that's where they were. No signage. At 5 o'clock, we decided to wait outside the door, and then suddenly other people came up and a huge line developed. All Locals. That's always a good sign! We took suggestions from our wonderful waiter, and everything was amazing. They just kept bringing out course after course, and I could not tell you which one was the best because they were all truly amazing. We had giant prawns, pork belly, shaking beef and Carmelized chicken wings. Stellar. Unbelievable. This is a five star gourmet meal. I can't wait to drive five hours and go back. Highly recommend. Do something life changing! It's amazing and unique and memorable."
"Nice setting and very well lighted this place will make you relax. Hospitality along with service is good. They will take the time to explain everything on the menu. First time tasting Pho. I had the Pho shrimp and it was PINCHE delicious !! If you are around this area you need to come to PHO LUCKY. The other thing you need to try is the Avocado shake. I guarantee you never had this taste before it's also PINCHE good. That is all. ChiefPeople who learn are wise. The people who know everything are arrogant and stupid."
"Ended up finding this gem while attending a concert at the LCA. Located just three blocks from there and nearby parking lots, it was ideal to grab a meal before the concert. Although they have a somewhat limited menu they have several Pho options. The owner (Mr. Hung) was nice enough to come to our table and gave us a few suggestions on what to order. I asked him what was in the Yelp checkin offer (complimentary shot) and he explained it's a house-made concoction that is well received by many. I have to agree. Very tasty. The spring roll appetizer (2 to an order) I recommend. The dipping sauce was outstanding. My grill pork with vermicelli rice entree was excellent. Again, the accompanying sauce added an amazing flavor that really brought this dish together. The service was attentive on a busy evening. I definitely recommend this establishment if you're looking for a great pre-game/ concert place that won't disappoint."
"First time for Vietnamese food so I may not know what I'm talking about. So let's start with the restaurant. Right between Le Andros (a favorite breakfast place) and Buffalo pizza and wings (Buffalo NY style pizza that is OMG good) in a low traffic strip mall. Inside is nice, the waitress was a sweet you lady that struggles with English. The food was bland. My uncle had Vietnamese food before and said there was a powder you sprinkled on the food to spice it up but this place did not have it. The April rolls were fantastic. I will try another Vietnamese place before passing judgement on the cuisine but Pho Special is not so special."
