"I've been to the Fox many times before but this trip was especially special! My grandson loves Grinchy, as he calls him, so I took him to see the Grinch musical. He loved all of it. I'll never forget his smiles watching the show."
"I came here a few years back for an international Women's Day lunch banquet with my friend's law firm group. The lunch comprised of a salad, bread, pasta and chicken and the usual dessert. The food wasn't bad. The event center was decent. Service was good. Food tickets were $35/pp."

"This is a must visit for lovers of Italian cuisine. The food is presented in a cozy, yet romantic setting. The staff here is very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The recommendations made to me allowed me to satisfy my tastes for all I wanted to experience while dining there. Their presentation and portions were satisfying as well as esthetically pleasing."
"Updating my review for brunch - I still think dinner is the stand out here, but if you're looking for a "bottomless" mimosa/Bloody Mary/aperol spritz spot, this is the spot! Vinology is also a great spot for celebratory occasions as they hook it up with free dessert - such a nice touch! For brunch, we had the: * FRESH DOUGHNUTS (cinnamon sugar, raspberry jam) - kind of more like churro/funnel-cake-like circles because of how dense this was but I'm not complaining! Pretty tasty still. * CLASSIC CAESAR (baby romaine, anchovy, parmesan crisps, creamy caesar dressing) - Whole anchovies is bold, but I enjoyed it! * CHICKEN & WAFFLE (buttermilk fried chicken, fried eggs, hollandaise) - the fried chicken on its own tasted kind of dry and underseasoned BUT once I got the runny fried egg going with some maple syrup and hot sauce, then it was actually pretty perfect. Maybe they planned for it to be that way. Also the waffle was a nice malt-y water so no comlaints! * SHORT RIB CHIMICHURRI OMELET (braised short rib, ricota cheese, home fries, toast) - one thing Vinology does VERY WELL is potatoes. Whether they're the stand out french fries or these home fries, they're always well seasoned and have the right texture. The short rib was a smidge dry too but flavorful and the ricotta chimichurri combo helped! *Chilled Plantains - My husband picked this one for his birthday dessert freebie! I thought it was a unique choice but the birthday person gets to choose! It was actually a really tasty dish and I think takes some finesse. It was the perfect temperature - chilled but not frozen and pretty tasty! The service is always great here & our server, Maya, at brunch was lovely - attentive and super friendly!"
"It's been 10 years since we've been here according to my last help review. My son and I enjoyed great service on the patio during a not so busy Sunday night. I had the antipasto salad and he had the chicken sandwich. Food was great, service great! The only thing I didn't love was that when we pulled up there was one employee smoking on the parking lot (went around the corner to find parking) and another female employee was sitting on a chair outside smoking on the side of the building next to the house. I hate thinking about them touching my food, perhaps get them a break room?"
"Let me start off by admitting that I thought I sent in my review for Genitti's last October so I APOLOGIZE to the world for not letting you know sooner that you need to RUN, not walk to Genitti's for all of your event needs. My wedding was held on October 15 of 2022 and Laura and the entire staff made everything so easy. There was absolutely not one ounce of stress in my body. Laura made sure my drink was always full and that my heart was happy. I didn't get to even eat dinner too much because obviously everyone wanted a photo with the bride. She packed up a few to go containers, one being completely filled up with just pasta and you know what I did after my wedding? Ate pasta in my hotel bed- the entire container because not only is the service absolutely phenomenal, the food is hearty and made with love. From top to bottom, this facility shines. I have never felt so welcomed and taken care of for an event that I did here. If I could, I would work here part-time just because of the immaculate vibes it gives off.We are going to be returning soon for another dinner theater and now my best friend is holding her baby shower here. I have a feeling that I will be seeing more of Genitti's and their incredible staff here soon. You are all absolutely incredible and you know it!"
"We went for a work event so took over the entire venue - the service was absolutely impressive from top to bottom. We had a couple hundred people there and things flowed smoothly in regards to being able to grab a delicious cocktail or delightful bite. Speaking of the food - wow!! 5 stars all around - usually when a place has "small bites" they are meh at best but everything offered was something I'd be excited to eat even at the fanciest restaurant! Would love to come here on a regular night sometime."
"Not sure if I want to let the secret out on this place, but it's truly a good one.Cheap drinks, great selection, laid-back atmosphere, plenty of seating inside, and even some outside. Not too loud and very friendly if you feel like striking up a conversation with someone at the bar, but also lots of tables for you and your friends."
"Wonderful place to have your event. The food was fantastic. The facility has ample parking. Wait staff was pleasant. Food was great."
"1 Up Arcade Bar is a blast!! Booze and video games...need I say more!! I've been to several arcade bars including Ready Player One, Pop + Offworld, and Pinball Pete's and 1 Up is probably my favorite!!! It's great that it's local and easy to get to. It's located in Downtown Farmington above Basement Burger Bar. The entrance is behind the building and there's plenty of parking behind the building too. I also like that it's not as tight, compact, and crowded as Ready Player One can get. I also had less problems with machines eating quarters or games getting stuck. The barcade itself is super cute and themed perfectly. The bar area has a giant light-up Pac-Man backdrop and all of the drinks on the menu are themed after old school video games. There's the Pac-Man old fashioned and Ms. Pac-Man cosmopolitan, a Ginball Wizard G&T, and a Diddy Kong banana flavored cocktail made with Screwball peanut butter whiskey. The craft cocktails are $9. They also have super delicious frozen cocktails! My favorite cocktail here is the frozen Donkey Kong! Do yourself a favor and order this! You will thank me later lol. It's a frozen banana cocktail with dark rum, cinnamon and vanilla. The best part: they actually flambé a banana and top the cocktail with the caramelized banana....yum!! The frozen cocktails are huuugee!! 23 oz for only $11. It's so large, it's the only drink you'll probably need for the night. I thought I had ordered the big one by mistake but apparently the big one is 51 oz and looks like a giant fish bowl to share for $22. They also have frozen Pac-Man cocktails called Blinky (raspberry), Inky (blue curaçao spin on a pina colada), Pinky (watermelon colada), and Clyde (whisky peach smash), and also a Kirby froze. They also have some craft beers on tap, some tasty $4 shots, and some bar snacks including chips, popsicles, Fun Dip and candy cigarettes for $1-$2. There's plenty of seating at the bar and also 1-2 tables throughout the barcade. Service was great! Bao was our bartender and he was super helpful, friendly, fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. Cocktails ordered come with 4 tokens for a game, and beers come with two tokens for a game. You can use tokens or regular quarters on all of the games and they have a couple change machines throughout the barcade. Most games require about two quarters/tokens and bigger games require four. I would say about $8-$10 is what you would need for tokens/quarters here to enjoy between two people for a fun night. They also have little tables by every video game to set your drink and drink holders at the pinball machines. They have about 5-6 pinball machines. I played the Pirates of the Caribbean one and it was super fun! I like how the pirate ship came to life. They have lots of nostalgic video games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter vs. X-Men. They have some of my faves like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They have some driving games like Mario Kart and a game where you shoot zombies and of course an air hockey table which is always a blast. I've been here a couple times recently and before the pandemic, they even had a DJ spinning on the weekends. It's a fun spot to start your night with friends and maybe head to karaoke at BBB after or Swing Dancing in the park/pavilion. It also makes a great date night too!! I came here for a date and started the evening with tacos across the street at Masa and it was a lot of fun! They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but are open Wednesday & Thursday from 5pm to 12am, Friday from 5pm to 2am, Saturday from 12pm to 2am, and Sunday 5pm to 10pm. I highly recommend stopping in! Feels like you're at Chuck-E-Cheese minus the scary animatronic singing robots plus now I can have cocktails, yay! You will have a blast guaranteed!"
"I've had the Filet multiple times here and I can't honestly say that it is without a doubt the BEST STEAK I have ever had. The dry age on it creates this amazing bark from the grill and it is ALWAYS seasoned to perfection. I choose Mint29 over any other steakhouse any day of the week."
"I recently booked Venue by 4M for my team's office party, and it was a great experience with a few areas for improvement. I chose this place based on a friend's recommendation, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The venue was perfect for our gathering of 30 people, and the staff did an excellent job accommodating us.Since it was the day before a holiday and the restaurant had been closed earlier in the day, we planned the event the same morning. Despite the short notice, the staff was incredibly flexible and made the entire process seamless. They even assured me over the phone that we could take our time without feeling rushed, which was a thoughtful touch. The restaurant has a unique charm, as it's a former grocery store that's been transformed into a modern, art-inspired space. The vibe is fantastic--sleek, clean, and inviting, with beautiful artwork and thoughtful design elements throughout. One of my favorite features was the large windows, which allowed us to enjoy the stunning sunset while we dined and socialized. It created the perfect atmosphere for our gathering. We came in for a happy hour gathering, and while the overall experience was pleasant, the food was just okay and could definitely be improved. We only tried their happy hour menu, so I can't speak to their main menu yet, but I'm hoping for a more flavorful experience when I return to explore it.Our server was attentive, friendly, and regularly checked on our large group to ensure everything was going smoothly. The appetizers were fresh and flavorful, but I feel the drink menu could use some improvement. I tried the Tropical Thunder, and while the name and description suggested a bold, strong cocktail, it was much sweeter than expected. A better balance of flavors would have elevated the experience. The bread with olive oil was simple yet flavorful, and the chips paired with different dips added a fun variety to the meal. Chimichurri offered a refreshing, tangy twist. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy, while the pizza brought a comforting and satisfying touch. Brussels sprouts chips was so crispy and full of flavor. The rosemary table spread added an aromatic elegance to the experience, and the chicken wings we had were served in different flavors, each one bursting with its own unique taste. One feature I truly appreciated is that Venue by 4M doubles as a rentable workspace. They offer open desks, conference rooms, and video conferencing setups, making it a great spot for professionals. Additionally, the ample parking space adds to the convenience of hosting events here. With its welcoming atmosphere, diverse themed menu options (including American, Asian, and Mexican), and versatile offerings, this venue is an excellent choice for both gatherings and work-related needs. I'll definitely return to explore their main menu and see how their bar offerings evolve. Overall, a great experience that has the potential to be even better!"

Astounded every time I step into the Fox. It is simply a beautiful theatre and a nod to old world craftsmanship Only wish there were more events hosted there and really wish they bring back playing some movies here on occasion.

Great for meetings and banquets. We attend one of our real estate meetings here every month. The food is available as sit down service as well as buffet style and is always good as well as filling.

This place has very cute vibes. The service was quick, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food is also really good - the chicken Marsala is something I would definitely recommend for the mushroom sauce alone. The quantity of food is also good - not overwhelming but definitely enough to also take some home for tomorrow. I would come again and try their brunch, because I heard it's pretty good, but their dinner was delicious as well!

Still love the happy hour! One of the best patios in downtown too. Get there on a nice evening when the sun has already passed behind the building. Enjoy the flatbreads, appetizers and half off wines by the glass. Service is good even outside. You can bring your pet to the patio, just keep it in a leash. Patio is in busy Main Street.

A write up said the garage has a happy hour. They do not what they do have is great service, delicious food and strong drinks. We arrived around 4:30 and sat at the bar. We had the whipped feta dip, it was outstanding and plentiful. We then split the large garage greens salad. Basic salad but a good vinaigrette and filling. We will go back for a proper dinner. Relatively quiet and interesting garage decor.

I often walk by Genitti's in downtown Northville but never had a reason to enter until I came here for a college alumni event. Genitti's is mainly used as an event space for large groups. The food is served family style for the entire table. The food is good, but I also thought it was wasteful to have so many leftovers thrown away. I hate food waste. I wish they offered takeaway containers for the leftovers that had not been touched. Otherwise, the venue is excellent with plenty of free parking in the downtown area.

Root caught my eye because of their revamped food menu in partnership with Takoi. We basically ordered everything available on the menu. It's super casual - it's best to order both drinks & food at the bar then find a table. It sounds like sometimes they have QR codes on the table + online ordering wasn't open when we went on a Sat. night). *Som Tum Thai (Green Papaya pounded in the mortar and pestle withgarlic, Thai chilies, long beans, tomato, peanuts, palm sugar, fish sauce, tamarind, and lime. Spicy! [VGO][GF]) - AWESOME flavor on this & yes, it was spicy but so good. Really hit the spot, I could get this over & over again just for something light & fresh. I'll definitely be ordering this to-go sometime. *Crispy Shrimp (Shrimp wrapped in wonton with pickled vegetablesand sweet chili sauce.) - kind of like a shrimp egg roll - no complaints. If you're looking for something more like bar food, this would be it! *Stir-Fried Corn (Sweet corn stir-fried with blueberries, Thai basil, cilantro, pistachio curry paste, and crispy rice crumble. [VG][GF]) - OK super pleasantly surprised by the flavors on this. I was like corn with blueberries?? This was definitely a savory dish and quite good. *Fried Chicken Sandwich (Thai fried chicken thigh on griddled brioche withpapaya salad, sweet chili garlic, coconut milk ranch, pickled jalapeños, peanuts, and cilantro.) - This was my main and if you're going to get anything, get this! Perfectly fried and crispy chicken thigh with Thai spin. Yum. *Green Curry (Spicy coconut milk curry with fried HiO farm koginutsquash, lime leaf, Thai basil, golden raisin, and fried shallot. [VG]) - Compared to traditional Thai Green Curry, it's not as soupy. We didn't find that we needed the extra rice we ordered on the side, it's also basically like tempura squash on the top which is PLENTIFUL so you'll be full. *Grilled Short Rib (Korean cut short rib marinated in turmeric spicedsweetened condensed milk, charcoal grilled and served with peanut curry and marinated cucumber and shallot.) - If you can't handle spice, this is the dish to get! Because of the hard sear on it, I expected this to be tough BUT it was actually very tasty and well cooked. Super creative cocktails but not my favorite I've had in town, but still definitely worth a stop! *Beyond the Pines (Stirred - Rich, Autumnal, Savor y, Baking SpicesKnob Creek Rye | Laird 's Apple Brandy | Yellow Char treusePinecone | Angostura | Peychaud's | Smoked Pear) - I mean this had a baby candied pinecone! So. Festive! *Root Old Fashioned (Graham Cracker Infused Bourbon | Rye | Cacao |Angostura Bitters | Smoke) - really solid old fashioned. can't say i could taste the graham infusion but hey, not complaining!

"Just had outstanding dinner at Compari in Plymouth Michigan. Somehow I managed to go further to look for good food. The restaurant is across the street from Kellogg Park. Don't overlook the hidden gem. Our server was quick and professional. Finally the ambiance was family friendly and not noisy. I will be a regular in the future."
"My goddaughter had just had her first dance recital and our crew that came to cheer her on wanted to treat her to a celebratory ice cream. I'm not super familiar with the east side but my friends said Gilbert's was the perfect place for a group, including three kids. Why? Their menu is huge, the tables are huge, and it's a casual enough place that a group could possibly get a little rowdy without getting side eyes from others. So to Gilbert's we went! We ended up sitting in the front covered porch/patio. Goddaughter and her twin brother went directly to the bumpy cake sundae on the menu. The rest of the table ordered more savory items like some sharable apps and then full meals. My mom and I had dinner started back at her house so we passed on the full meal but we definitely indulged in more than a few bites of their soft pretzels and loaded waffle fries. Both were quite good (tho with all the cheese, bacon, etc on the loaded fries it was not exactly good FOR you tho, haha). We enjoyed both so much we kept on snacking and before we knew it we were full. So much for the dinner we had planned! The kids loved their sundaes, which were almost as big as their heads, and overall we had a really lovely time. Our waitress was super kind and patient (bless her for rolling with the children who were now hyped up on sugar). The kids also loved watching the train running around on an elevated track near the ceiling, also a fun touch). If you're looking for a spot for a casual dinner with a group, kid friendly fare, and/or a expansive menu, Gilbert's might be the place for you."
"Food is very good. Large portions at a reasonable price. Hard to find. Park in the rear. Service was good."
"I really like this relatively new Italian Restaraunt. The service was personable and warm. The food has been great so far. The last time I got the lamb shank and it' was so soft, moist and seasoned very well - not gamy. The vibe is upbeat, dress to impress, with a slight step down (minus DTI). They have a really cool bar area and a nice semi-private dazzling dining area that serves around 20 people. The rest of the Restaraunt is very pretty. They have entertainment on some nights, I will call to find out when."
"Lyv is a newish restaurant located on Livernois (Ave of Fashion) just south of 8 Mile. Parking is somewhat limited with a small adjacent lot on the side of the building and along the street on the front and other side. First let's start with the ambiance.... the decor in the dining room is classy with murals, gold trim, and chandeliers. There are booths, tables and bar seating. If you turn to the right, there is an opulent looking lounge adorned with black velvet furnishings and gold accents and a gas fireplace along the side of one whole wall. Many nights I've noticed a DJ in the lounge spinning old school R&B tunes. Next on to the service, you are always greeted by a friendly host/hostess at the entrance and guided to your choice of seating. The servers and bartenders are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu always willing to make recommendations. And then there's the food! It is simply delicious. The chef takes pride in preparing traditional soul food dishes sure to please most any palate. There is a late-night menu and Soulfood Sundays on the weekend. The only drawback is that all menu items are not available at all times; so, if you've come to like a particular item that's say available on the happy hour menu, you will have to wait until that time to have that item. But the food is so good, it's worth the wait!"
"Mixed review here, so I've been to beautiful Weddings here in the past but recently went to a New Year's Eve party (2017).The weddings were perfect and I would have given them 5 stars if that was the only party I attended here. So New Year's Eve 2016, the hall was beautiful, the music was hip and the sound system was very good, buffet style dinner was also very good."
"We had a great time at the witches bazaar fall equinox party. This venue does a great job with the space that they have. There's a really nice bar on the inside and a large space for various types of activities. It was a night full of spells, rituals, having your horoscope read, palm reading, psychics, and even bone throwing. There was an area set up on the inside for vendors. You could also make your own spells and potions. The night ended with a witches' rave! It was most certainly a night to remember. Cheers to the Detroit coven!"
"ER. MA. GERD. Their pizza tho! Deep dish -- deep delish! We had tried all different kinds of pasta dishes here, and everything we have had has been wonderful, but about a week ago, we tried their pizza for the first time and we will never go to anyone else!Fresh ingredients. Perfectly cooked. Flavored crust. Local mom and pop -- just the way I like it!"
"This restaurant is beautiful inside! A Pretty aesthetic and photo worthy. The day that we went it was crowded but it was a Sunday so that makes sense . We waited 40 minutes for a table, but overall the experience was good. Food did take a while, a little less than an hour but I was in no rush so I made the best of it. I had the chicken & waffles, a side of house potatoes, and side salmon croquette. The waffle was cold when I got it :( which I was disappointed but My server fixed it right away. The Chicken was flavorful and went perfectly with the waffles . The salmon croquette was the best one I've had from a restaurant in YEARS. Definitely recommend. To top it off I got the Mimosa flight which comes with 4 mimosas with the flavors of your choice . Prices are a bit high, but overall great experience . I recommend We've Got Brunch if you're looking for some good soul food ."
"Average hall, it's next door to the liquor store with a very small amount of parking. A lot of people had to park around the corner and walk down the street, so that wasn't fun or safe."
"Fantastic again tonight! This is my go to for family dinners, drinks with friends, and business dinners. We went tonight with my 10 year old daughter. Oysters, escargot, osso bucco ravioli, and the filet. So great! Service was exceptional and the piece de resistance was Susan Pendy coming to the table to praise my daughter for being a foodie (my daughter was so happy!). Love that personal touch and can't wait for our next visit!"
"Love this place! Drinks are always good and consistent. The staff is always friendly! Love the new dog space! Easy to find (there's a sign at the front door). With the cold weather coming, I'm so glad to have a place to take my dog and have my coffee. Can't recommend this enough."
"The Jam Handy is a fascinating venue where Nate and I attended a wedding recently. Located kind of in what felt like the middle of nowhere, there's not a lot of parking nearby but street parking is available and you may have to walk a bit. There is a small parking lot at the Jam Handy, but we weren't really sure if we could park there, even for the rehearsal the day before the wedding. The space is historic and you can read about it online, but it served as a sound stage for the Jam Handy Organization, which specialized in industrial films and filmstrips for General Motors and the United States Armed Forces. The venue itself is a bit rustic and industrial, and serves as a blank canvas for whatever vision you have for your event. In this case, it was a wedding with lots of beautiful flowers and floral arrangements and green plants everywhere. The bar when you entered was a great touch, and guests were able to have a glass of wine before moving to the ceremony room, which had a floral backdrop. This space was turned into the late night dance party area as well. There isn't much around this venue, so don't plan on a lot of bar hopping nearby before your event. In fact, most of the bars didn't open until 5 pm on Friday, the day of the wedding. The only other downfall of the venue was having to go downstairs to use the restroom. There is one gender neutral restroom on the main floor but it was occupied 99% of the time I tried the door. Just something to note for people with mobility issues, high heels, etc. I also noticed some uneven areas in the floors.Overall I had a great time at this venue and was impressed with how it was transformed from the rehearsal time to the wedding itself! Sometimes I think spots like this are a little too much of a blank space for someone like me, who lacks creative vision to turn a place like this into something really beautiful. However, with the right team and vision, it can be exceptional!"
"This is a review of the Havana Nights fundraiser for the Detroit Belle Isle Boathouse. It seems to be an annual event. The Roostertail is the perfect place for it. Lots of parking, 3 prices depending on how close to the building you are. I got the closet since the boat club gets a cut. Open space for lots of people and even different levels to spread out based on your level of ticket (I got the cheapest). A few bands or DJs, dance lessons, and even a 360 photo booth gave you other things to do besides drink and smoke cigars. Those with the cheap tickets had a few food trucks to buy a taste of the Caribbean. People selling jewelry, bath and body items, and a wonderful artist selling paintings, shoes and clothing. Just a good place to people watch and see how little some had to wear in public. I just choose to be 1950s classic with a twist. Plan to be back next year since it was fun and help a good cause."
"I have never had a bad experience at The Fiddler!Valentine's Day. No reservation. Needed to use a prix fixe GroupOn before it expired. We expected to be turned away. The host frowned a bit, said we are full tonite, but I can make this work. Yay!Waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, professional and anticipated all of our needs.I ordered the lamb chops, medium rare. She ordered the chicken. Both were excellent. The borshch was delightful. The potatoes were perfectly cube'd and roasted. The dessert was fine; but not memorable. Frankly; I cannot remember what we shared. The restroom was spotless. Will I return? Oh, hell yes!"
"Colony club is quite a historical Gem of Detroit that is presently being used as an event location in downtown Detroit in the Foxtown district. The building has a very Interesting past where it was originally built in 1927 as a women's club in Downtown Detroit and has changed hands and purpose numerous times over the past 100 years where it was used for multiple businesses, Detroit UAW headquarters, Detroit police academy, Super Bowl functions and of most recent note for events/dinners/wedding receptions. The building itself speaks of elegance and taste where it was renovated in recent past to accurately capture the essence of the 1920 time period architecture in Detroit. Key areas of note include a large grand entrance on the first floor of the building leading to elevators and a grand stair well that leads to the third floor event ballroom. Architectural details that make this beauty stand out include very tasteful black/white checkered marble floors, ornate painted wooden wall and ceiling details/trimwork throughout, two visually stunning grand balconies overlooking the ballroom and a magnificent large chandelier in the center of the ballroom. Overall the building is visually stunning and quite an architectural gem for Detroit.Regarding the event I was at (a Wedding), They had two bars set up at opposite ends of the large hallway outside the balcony that did a good job of servicing the 100 + people at this event without to much of a wait. The ballroom itself easily accommodated the wedding party with tables of six located opposite ends of the ballroom with "plenty" of room in the middle of the ballroom for a very large dance floor. You really couldn't ask for a better more comfortable setup for an event like this. The food at the event was prepared in the building and was solid to a little better than average wedding food in my opinion. I have never expected to get 5 Star food at an event like this and with that mindset I was generally happy with my food. Relative to staff, they were very friendly and helpful and did a great job of taking care of us during the dinner portion of the reception.Speaking only as a guest and not the person who wrote the check for the event, I was very impressed overall with the venue and management of the event and would love to return in the future. If you are in the downtown area and have an appreciation for beautiful time period architecture this building is a must see as you will not be disappointed. Five Stars......"
"Beautiful venue! I've seen music concerts and comedy shows here. Well organized. Security moves quickly. Purses allowed if they are 4x6 or smaller. Credit card sales inside only."
"Beacon Park has great events throughout the year for the entire family! Whether it's free live music and local markets or Art light installations, it's always a good time! There is plenty of spots to chill, games for the kids, and something interesting for the adults, always. Check the schedule & go visit Beacon Park!"
"Solid spot for some classic nosh! Pretzel Bell has some history in Ann Arbor that I know I don't fully appreciate myself, but know there's a lot of nostalgia associated with it. Had a good margarita and crunchy bird (chicken) sandwich with tots. I asked for a side of ranch and I think their ranch is probably homemade, it was tasty and unique. Dining atmosphere is more elevated than just casual dining. Feels a bit like a sports club. There's also a bar downstairs in the basement, and food service down there as well, but I don't like going down there anymore because my last two times I got sick. (I think just due to it being a popular spot - lots of people and maybe not the best air ventilation/circulation in the basement.)"
"Traveled from Cleveland for a concert that was not stopping in my area. The area this club is located in is super cute. Lots of culture. We were checked in efficiently with safety precautions taken that helped me feel at ease. Upon entry the bar greets you. I really appreciated this because it kept the business of cocktails separate from all the other goings on. Made for a smoother process in my opinion. My drinks were ice cold and tasty. I couldn't ask for more. The club area itself is spacious with a built in stage in one end and a few lounge seating areas on the other. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and venue."
"The best of the best of the best!Real, homemade Polish food (I know, first hand)... I love that it's so convenient and close. Very old world. If you speak Polish, do pipe up and greet your server in your native tongue. I simply adore this place, it brings me back, and the memories it conjures up are so very warming. This is a restaurant and banquet hall, and offers catering as well. They hold many events throughout the year. Paczki day! Get them here! Dances, festivals, events, funerals, showers, weddings. American Polish Cultural Center and Wawel Polish Restaurant is truly a place to consider for your event. The customer service cannot be matched!! Love love love this place!!"
"Trumbullplex is unlike any other place i've encountered in the city!40% Music Venue35% Zine Library15% Craft Space10% CommuneThis multi-purpose Woodbridge venue reflects its own past in many ways. The Trumbullplex actually started out as a Car Repair Shop, then it became a Morturary Prep Space, then during the 70's it turned into a Hippie Commune. Actually, a couple original & current Hippies still call Trumbullplex home. I know, right?!!? An 'Only in Detroit' moment : )The T-plex functions mostly as a music venue, but it also has a separate area for its large collection of zines; hence the 'Zine Library'. They also host a monthly art/craft workshop (silkcreening, jewelry making, sewing, etc), which usually costs between $5-$10 and worth every penny! Just an fyi: Don't be discouraged by Trumbullplex's outward appearance, it's not the prettiest neighborhood nor the most pristine looking building, but it's def worth visiting!"
"I traveled to Detroit specifically to come here for a two day New Year's Eve show being thrown by one of my favorite artists, Excision. I wasn't quite sure to what to expect, but I was pleased to see some photos on Yelp from one of his previous shows there. Also, when purchasing my tickets I learned that there's a few different levels to the venue. That's pretty much all I had to go off of. When arriving on day one, the line to get in was wrapped around the street and to my surprise they got us through the line rather quickly. Thank goodness because it was absolutely freezing. Once through security and getting our tickets scanned I got the lay of the land a little bit. My first night I had balcony tickets and the view was impeccable. The seats had enough space for me to be comfortable and they were easy to find. My only complaint about the balcony section was that the women's bathroom only had two stalls making the wait over 20 minutes.. And that was during the peak of the show. I missed one of the opening acts entirely. The second night I got pit tickets, way up front and had an absolute blast being up that close. I never went to the bathroom but I noticed it moving much quicker. To wrap things up, the production of the show was incredible. I wasn't expecting pyro, confetti, or smoke but they brought it all. I would absolutely travel here for another show and honestly, have no doubt that I will some day."
