Ann W. "This small Corktown eatery was on my list for years - I will travel long distances for poutine. So when a friend suggested this place for brunch, I was beyond excited. Of course, I arrived early for our meet-up. I'm always worried about getting lost, despite an assist from Google, and finding parking. If I'm early, it only means more reading time from the comfort of my car. When the diner opened for the day, there was already a small line up and tables filled up quickly. My friend and I pulled up the menu via the QR code and we placed our order and paid through the same code. The food was brought to our table when it was ready. I ordered the large poutine without hesitation. Plain, no bacon or eggs to spoil the dish. The fries were crispy and delicious and the beef gravy was flavorful. Unfortunately, the cheese curds were small and had not had a chance to melt yet. The croque madam was incredible. I loved the tangy, grilled sourdough with bacon and Swiss cheese. The maple mustard and bechamel sauce elevated the taste of the sandwich. The fried egg was yum. Glad I made it a madam.Service was quick and friendly. We were done within an hour and noticed that most of the neighboring tables had already emptied. So, waiting in the morning might not be all that bad."

Susan W. "Taahirah was our server. My sister and her husband had had her before. She's very pleasant and very conscientious. The ambience is beautiful lots of live plants. In fact the front area in the big windows that face the outs are so full of plants. I didn't realize it was a restaurant!!!Hopefully, that was just me as I would hate to think anybody else wouldn't see it and therefore wouldn't have a meal there. We shared an appetizer that was bruschetta -I was advised it was the best ever and indeed it was. The garlic crisp bread with hummus, and very finally chopped black olives pico de gallo it was just incredibly good all of it. I would order it again in a heartbeat as my meal!We all had something different. My sister enjoyed the taco salad, which is her go to there. It looked delicious but yet so healthy. My brother-in-law had enchiladas made with sweet potato frankly I've never had a vegetarian menu that was so diverse.!!!I had a Italian pizza sandwich. It had delicious pizza sauce with fresh mozzarella, fresh basil all on a delicious grilled sourdough bread. We were all too far for dessert, but will have to try it next time. I am able to get there. It will definitely be a go to when I'm in A2!!!!!!"

Cheryl S. "We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Blue Nile. For vegetarians and vegans, this is the place to come. With a unique menu, the base is unlimited vegan sides for $18.90. They are served up on a tray lined with traditional teff pancakes. You can then add sides of meat dishes: chicken, lamb and beef, at an additional cost of about $10 each. The servings are on the smaller side, yet are enough to share and get a varied and delicious sampling of Ethiopian cuisine. Each side has unique flavors and included cabbage, spinach, potato-carrot-celery, and several different bean and lentil dishes. Some are cold and most are hot. Even if you are not vegetarian, sampling these sides alone, with the traditional "eat with your hands" Ethiopian style, is a treat and a delight. The teff pancakes are cold and filling. They are also gluten free and filled with protein. The meat dishes were yummy and tender. They pour the meats felt the bowls to the center of the serving dish. Everything runs together. I love it, all the mixing and matching, yet for one of our guests, the experience was too "messy" and uncomfortable for them. Our party of four enjoyed the red sauces on the meats more than the yellow sauces . The difference was the degree of flavorful spices. The yellow sauces were on the bland side though the meat was quite tender. We are at a traditional table with smaller seats and a serving platter between guests. There are booths, tables and individual serving bowls you can request if you prefer a more American eating experience. The ambience is perfect, colorful and traditional. The dining room and bathrooms are clean. The servers are very gracious and helpful. Perhaps the best part is the sensory experience of the warm towels to clean your hands before and after the meal. Divine. With tip, my husband and I arrived at a total of $81, half of the table for our part of four. Compared to other African food we have tried recently, Blue Nile is much higher in price. Not sure the price tag is necessary, reducing my rating by one star. Definitely worth the experience."

I tried a mimosa and an adult Capri Sun, both of which were fun and tasty. The truffle fries were absolutely delicious, and the birria was spot on--full of flavor and perfectly executed. Highly recommend this spot for a casual bite and great drinks!"

It's definitely a family setting, lots of long tables and trays for meals. Though, it also makes grabbing a spot to sit difficult if you're not with your family. I have had a number of items here but my personal favorites have been chana marsala and the cut mirchi."

It's more counter service food then table service food, but it is a place that is table service I guess what it means is that it feels more fast food than anything that you would sit down for. It's all right overall. It's very bright and it seems clean."

It was all absolutely delicious, and the staff was so friendly! We got samosas and they were a little spicy for my mom, but if you have an aversion to spice, just let the staff know and they'll steer you in the right direction. Some other patrons let us know they they just started a happy hour, Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 7, $5 for tea and an appetizer. Palapala E. "This use to be my go-to restaurant for Vegan cuisine. This Saturday (day before Mother's day), I had a taste for a DVS soul food platter. I placed an order online and made my way to the restaurant to pick up my order. When I arrived, the restaurant was very clean. My order was ready and waiting for me. The order: Soul Platter-BBQ Tofu, greens or kale, macaroni & cheese, sweet potatoes and cornbread for a whopping $23 (quite expensive for a meal the size of a lean cuisine with an extra side). No joke, the to-go plate resembled a lean cuisine meal tray. All that was missing was the clear wrapper on top and a box. The BBQ tofu was over sauced. I thought, what are they trying to cover up? Well, I found out after i bit into a strip of the tofu and nearly chipped a tooth. It was burned to a crisp. I picked up a different piece, it too was crisp and burned. You only get 5-6 small strips with this meal at best and 2.5 were inedible. The Greens were over salted and weren't even a full serving. The sweet potatoes/yams were not a full serving either. They were a bit too sweet and over cooked. The macaroni and cheese (sigh) not the same as I remember when i last visited a couple of months prior. My sides then were appropriately portioned in small containers. I felt cheated this time. The taste was off; with an almost metallic after taste. The beans and rice were good. Not overly salty. I had a full serving of that, of course. The cornbread mini muffin (tears) was overcooked and nearly burned to a crisp. It was very crisp and crunchy when chewed. I understand we are in peri-covid times. It's rough for many businesses. Food prices are sky rocketing everywhere for everyone. HOWEVER, I was so disappointed with the quality of my meal. If I'm charged nearly $5 per item on my plate, I should be served a beautiful and tasty meal that I can enjoy fully. Burned, over salted and under portioned food that I cannot enjoy seated at your restaurant should not cost $23.00.I included a tip on top of the $23 because I support the workers. So when I enter an establishment and get a "hi" while seated and I have to grab my own food...who am I tipping? Even at Little Caesar's my pizza is handed to me for $5!! Pros... You can order online. The restaurant was open. The restaurant dining area was impeccably clean. I lost 2 pounds because I ate only HALF of my Vegan Lean Cuisine! I learned you actually burn tofu! Wtf? I left a tip. Cons... The dining area is closed, and my food was burned.I have to pay more for burned plants to feel healthy! I paid $23 for a Non-Frozen Vegan Lean Cuisine. I'm still hungry. Is this how vegans stay thin? They're open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays because from Monday through Thursday, your Tofu is slow cooking"

We enjoyed Mango Lassi which was perfect with our choices of Falafel salad, Masala fries, and Paneer Tikka Kathi roll. Flavorful dishes all of them. If I have to pick a favorite the Paneer Tikka Kathi roll was really good. Service was friendly and good. We enjoyed the painted mural which makes the inside unique."

Rodrigo T. "Twas the first Friday after ash wednesday. My husband happens to be following the whole lent, no meat Friday thing. So I too have to follow suit with him. Therefore brings me to why we came here. Because if I was to do non-meat dishes and turn into a vegetarian. I would go hard on Indian dishes.Yes this is a Pakistani establishment, but I still had a good time eating. Some of the dishes are sort of lazily done,, I can tell they bought some bagged mixed veggies and sauced it up.Did we eat good? Yes we did.Was the service good? It was a buffet, our dirty dishes were picked up. The glasses of water was refilled and the buffet items were refreshed as well.It was alright. I would eat here again, but probably wouldn't be my first choice.Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!"

Christian C. "It seems MANY people have issues with this restaurant and their service. I'll admit when I visited we waited for a while (the sign says wait to be seated) but when no one came we just sorta walked around the corner. We eventually saw someone who worked here and they said sit anywhere. Everything did go up from there. Their menus are digital so you just scan the barcode on your phone and look at their menu online. We ordered Veg Manchurian, which are deep fried vegetable balls sautéed with manchurian sauce. They were tasty! For an entree I knew I wanted something with curry so I ordered the Paneer Masala which came with white rice. It was very tasty as well! Aside from the seating situation I think overall the service was pretty good and since I love Indian cuisine Ill definitely come back."

My husband ordered yellow curry noodle. I got mine mild, however ended up being more of a med/hot. It was to hot for me to enjoy. However the flavor was really good. We also got spring rolls which were really good. I just think next time I will say very little spice to no spice at all for mine.We were very happy to try it out! We will definitely be back to try some more dishes out. When you try it out be sure to know that their spice level is higher than what you ask for. Very clean restaurant."

Rob R. "On my first few visits to Motown, I used to think the city that is ham eater's heaven was also vegetarian hell. My pescetarian traveling companion settled into a monotonous diet of perch and baked potatoes. It didn't seem too bad until her skin started turning color.I wish I had found this place sooner. The salad bar is the centerpiece here, and it's pretty wicked. There are enough options to create a unique and varied salad, if only there were more time! The sign at the start of the line states something like, "we realize it takes time to achieve perfection, but please be mindful of the other artists in line who are waiting to create their own masterpiece."My head spinning with option paralysis, I stepped outside for some air and a chance to formulate a plan. Returning, I piled on toppings like wasabi peas, walnuts, ham, bleu cheese, cranberries, and Canadian bacon, burying a few greens in a sea of flavor and creating an omnivore salad.Aside from the salad, they also got all kinds of soup. I think there were six choices. I made the wrong choice. The Southwest Chicken soup tasted vaguely Chinese, vaguely like Chef Boyardee (TM). American Chop Suey?"

Kenya S. "My go-to for delicious, wholesome eats. They draw often upon seasonal and local ingredients at prices comparable to less healthy and sustainable carryout dinner options. I've been a fan for a couple years after I ordering the rice bowl (pictured) which comes with basmati rice, sweet potatoes, greens, and beans. I would often pick whitefish as a protein. While currently unavailable, as they have adjusted their offerings due to COVID-19 to to provide weekly meal service (pickup or delivery only on Fridays with pre-order), I've been impressed with their rotating heat-at-home options. To this day, I regularly reminisce over their guinea fowl dinner (pictured) and have enjoyed many more meals since. Don't let the dishes that I mentioned fool you: most of the menu is vegetarian, vegan, and GF friendly."
