"My best friend & I went & sat at the bar. Great food & customer service. The restaurant is clean & bright. The noise level is average. I prefer the bar side over the main dining area. The salmon croquettes were good. The greens were seasoned so well! Hands down my favorite!! Blue koolaid, 10/10. The chicken was cool. I like mine fried harder but I can see how people love it."
"The Eagle has super convenient online ordering. So we ordered a bunch of stuff for pick up and brought it home. The size of the menu isn't crazy large, but I don't think that's bad thing. They've got a focus on Southern comfort style food and they execute it well. We got a good variety of sides:- Shrimp & grits- Mac & cheese- Horseradish mashed potatoes- Collard greensI would say all of them were very good. Yes, even the collards. Some of the people with me were not into the collards but I think that was a them problem and not any fault of the actual collards. I stand by opinion that collards go perfectly with fried chicken and the ones here are no exception. As for the fried chicken itself, it's also super good. There's a good amount of spice in the batter however there wasn't much of a crisp, but this may be because we got it to go and it sad in a covered bucket for too long. As for the meat, I'm more of a fan of dark meat but the white meat was not bad. It was pretty juicy and it seemed like the chicken is brined. That or they're using some kind of magical chicken."

"Take out only! Covid will mess up something s, I'll tell ya.The food is still good but the portions are smaller. The collard greens are hands down delicious! Mac and cheese is ok. Fried pork was crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Carrot cake is four layers it's used to be full of nuts, pineapple and carrots and it was really moist and the cream cheese frosting was delicious but they cut back on the amount of ingredients it might be box because the texture is different but for almost $7, I'll pass next time. There's a walk up window to place your order or you can call it. Go give them a try."
"Fantastic food. Everything is seasoned to perfection, fresh, and warm. The collard greens are the best thing ever; they are addicting. The catfish was the perfect combo of succulent and crunchy. I don't understand the harsh feedback here. This place is a hidden Detroit gem. I can't wait to return to try for more. What a treat!"
"Huge servings, good food, friendly service. Why did we drive PASSED this so many times??? Highly recommend!!"
"It was a little too empty when we came in and we got concerned. That soon changed as the smile behind the counter started shining! We ordered a few items and then waited for our goodies to get prepared. Folks streamed in after waiting for a few minutes, and after noticing not only the homemade cakes, but I asked about the barbecue sauce and was told it was homemade as well. We immediately ordered the rib tips and a slice of pineapple coconut cake. The food was made to order, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back."
"Food: 2.5 out of 5Atmosphere inside: 5/5Atmosphere outside: 4/5I love the different vibes you can get from each different area of Tin Roof. The food attempts to be upscale bar food, but out of the three times we tried their chicken tenders, the first time they were out of this world good and then we just kept chasing that quality and never found it again. The inside first level is a great little venue to take in some live music. The upper level balcony is a great place to take in sights of Downtown. The outdoor area can get a bit crowded and a bit wild, especially on big days like Opening Day or any Lions home game. Also, I am not a fan of them charging cover to enter the outdoor area."

I really enjoyed their chicken and waffles. The restaurant is really cool as well. I am a sucker for chicken and waffles and Kuzzo's definitely hit the spot.

I was not impressed with the food, but it's suitable as a fancier dining option off Woodward Avenue. I ordered chicken, mashed potatoes, fries, hush puppies, biscuits, and grilled cheese. A lot of the food wasn't consumed and ended up being thrown out. When I tried the chicken, I was thinking there were a dozen other places with better and crispier chicken at half the price. My friend thought the chicken was too tough and the biscuits were too hard. The best dishes were the grilled chicken and the jam that comes with the biscuits. Nothing else stood out for me. The service seemed friendly. They forgot a drink with my order, and when I returned about ten minutes later, I was given a refund for the drink.

Definitely a mixed reviewWent in for a quick bite, and ordered lunch to go. The menu has all the classics and they make it easy to order over the phone or in person. Now, I'll blame it on the heat and limited separation of the kitchen from the pick up window, but it was not enjoyable to wait 30+ minutes for food while hearing an employee be sent home. Some may see it as unprofessional, others may just take it as comedic relief. Hopefully this isn't a pattern everyday. When it comes to the food, I tried the catfish, greens, candied yams and cornbread. Solid food. Catfish was crispy and not too salty. Yams were perfection. Greens were tender and well balanced. The cornbread wasn't jiffy and was solid. The tartar sauce may be homemade, it was delicious! Overall good is solid. Plenty of parking space for you to wait for your food. Customer service was ehhhhh. Would come back to try the desserts alone as they looked amazing on the menu.

We ordered here as part of a school fundraiser - so glad we did! It's a bit of a trek for us from our house, but we'll definitely be back. Well cooked, perfectly seasoned, and friendly staff. A+We had fried chicken, perch, greens, Mac and cheese, beans and rice, cole slaw, yams and corn bread. It was devoured and the few pieces of leftover chicken were still amazing the next day cold

The food here is so good. The menu covers all the basics you would want for good soul food, dressing, greens, mac and cheese, pound cake, etc. Fast carry out and very clean lobby. Located right outside a residential neighborhood of Mt. Clemens, off of Harrington and Gratiot.I ordered the baked chicken dinner with dressing, mac and cheese. I also ordered the ribs with dressing and greens. Cornbread came with both dinners. My Dad and I enjoyed our meals, the seasoning was on point too, unlike a lot of bbq places in Macomb County. This place has only been open for 3 years, I totally didn't know it existed because I usually drive to Detroit from northern Macomb county to get good soul food (that I didn't have to make myself). I'll definitely be coming back to try out more of the menu.

"Did you say SOUL FOOD?! Cause it definitely fed my soul for sure. This is the kind of food you can't usually find in restaurants and would have to cook at home! Luckily for us Ribs and Soul has a technique for the perfect meal that makes you feel at home or at your grandmas house! DELICIOUS AND HEFTY SERVINGS FULL OF FLAVOR AND COLOR! Literally everything I ordered was top tier and affordable! I will definitely be back and will be recommending it to everyone I know who's looking for some GREAT eatin! Thank you for the opportunity to try your delicious food! The service was fast and the food came out hot! The menu is straight to the point and you know what you're getting like I said it might even be more than what you thought it was going to be! The inside of the restaurant smelled yummy and was extremely clean! There is no seating area so it's definitely a to go spot! Sitting right next to a gas station for any other necessities you had in mind! A one stop shop! Get it while it's hot!"
"Their smothered porkchops were nothing short of "gat-damn, this mess is good as hey-yell!!". The beans and rice were divine, and the mac and cheese was quite pleasing. Full-blown soulfood. The following week, I got chitterlings. I know--pig's intestine , Nykol? But this was some damn good shit. Pardon the gross pun--actually, these chitterlings were very clean, which is why I tried them (only the second time I've ever eaten them). These chitlins were tender, and well balanced with seasoning and pork flavor. I ordered a lb., which was more than enough. The staff is friendly, helpful and engage with their customers. The owners seem to operate on Christian ideology ; religion is not my cup of tea. However, I can overlook the gospel music long enough to get an order of chicken wings. Hurry up about it please. I may not believe that souls exist, but I definitely believe in eating good soul food."
"So I initially was confused about the concept of this restaurant. It's not a buffet as I thought. You come in and you're seated at a table by the hostess. They give you a menu and you choose what you'd like, then you go up to the counter to place your order and pay. It's cafeteria style, but make sure you know what you want before you get in line so you don't hold up the line. The lady was help from answering questions about the menu though. They give a cup and you get your drink from the fountain. They have a lot of options but I ended up getting the catfish and grits which was good. My catfish was well seasoned and fried to perfection. The grits were good, I just needed to add some salt for taste. I added some shrimp which was seasoned very well. I overall enjoyed my meal. They have a $15 Turkey leg deal on Wednesdays if you want to save some coins. I want to come back and try that. Service at the counter was good but non existent at my table. I had to go to the counter to get napkins and a straw but it didn't ruin my experience. I'll be back."
"Popped into T-Mo's barbeque on a whim. I couldn't decide what to buy for dinner. After pondering for hours, I found this carryout restaurant on Yelp; and learned it wasn't very far from my house.I got there about 20 minutes to close and was surprised that they had rib tips right before closing. The small place is located on a corner lot. Therefore, there is side street parking off of busy W McNichols Rd. The location is well-lit, and there were several people in and out during my wait. There is a large case of displayed side dishes to choose from, although the menu isn't complex.I got the rib tips and an order of barbecued french fries. The meal was good. Some of the tips were a little hard to chew; possibly because I came late in the day. However, the flavor was delish. I really liked the taste. I opted for plain as I'm not a big fan of sauce on grilled meat. The sauce was tasty though, the fries could be addictive; as simple as they are.I paid less than $10 for my late meal; and was very satisfied.I'll be sure to try other option on my next visit."
"Friends of ours have been raving about this place for awhile. They are a bit more expensive than some of our go-to places but I don't mind paying if it's truly better product. This is also a bit out of our way drive wise so we did not immediately try it. Finally on a boring Saturday we pulled the trigger. The chicken did not look all that impressive when we got it home. I started eating it and thought hmmm. We got the spicy of course but it was a slow burn. The more I ate it the more I enjoyed it. Not terribly coated, if extra crispy is your vibe this is not for you. The coating was crisp but thin and the chicken, even the white meat, was juicy and flavorful. That slow burn spice was just happiness. We got wedges to go with. Yikes. Holy undercooked meh. Skip them. The biscuits were slightly better but entirely forgettable. No worries though, we just ate more chicken. We will return but we will be sticking to just chicken for sure."
"Food is always fresh and hot, I have enjoyed everything I've tried so far which includes curry chicken and goat. Jerk chicken. The rice and cabbage are my go to sides. Staff is always pleasant."
"I came in her for one dish only per the recommendation of a friend. That dish was the red beans and rice with cajun sausages. And I have to admit it was pretty tasty. I got a large order because I didn't notice that there was a smaller serving size. I wished that I had gotten the smaller size after realizing it was an option but after tasting it, I didn't mind having the larger portion to eat more later.I was told that their other dishes were tasty as well so I definitely plan on trying more things. The red beans and rice will definitely be a staple though."
"My family is a huge fan of this restaurant. My mom worked in the GM plant and this business was always packed. After the plant closing and the economy dropping business slowed down. However that never changed their great customer service and food. I love the whitening fish dinners with yams and collard greens. They good ribs and their fried chicken is very good BIG WINGS! They also offer some good home cooked deserts. During the Woodward Dream Cruise they have the BBQ grills going outside. I have traveled all over the States and to other countries as well. Whenever anyone asks me where I'm from I say Pontiac and if you ever make it there you have to try this place! Whenever I go back to visit friends and family I make it a point to stop in and say hi then place my order."
"So let me start off by saying are waitress was amazing! Very bubbly personality and very attentive. Are drinks were never empty and she came to check on us in between serving other tables ( i wanted to start off with something nice). The smell however when u first come in is horrible.. why we stayed to eat ill never know... and it wasn't only us the ppl that came in ahead of us turned around and went right back out the door( a sewage smell?). The food was just not there... the driest chicken (bbq) i ever bit into. My husband wouldn't even eat it and he is legit a garbage disposal, he got the baked which wasn't terrible but wasn't anything to talk about. The yams were amazing! The broccoli and cheese was really salty and not edible. When we complained the women said she needed to take it into the light to see if it was dry lol?! I was like ok as long as u don't bring it back to the table, she never returned and the waitress comped the chicken and we were good with that.. but in no way shape or form will we go back."
"Service was real. Chicken was fall of bone. fried right not gonna dog that. hot sauce was packets (cholula ) im not gonna hate on that. i prefer franks or house made, rare ik) cornbread was super burned in oven. could taste bad oven. (maybe bad day?) gave me green beans insted of collard greens. took a bite to try im like ok im not gonna say nothin, i dont like those so dont take my opinion on it but it ok for green beans i guess. was craving collard greens when i even stopped so i went back in. got my greens. seem canned. most place add a lil salt to the greens alternate flavor. kool aid i got was blue rasp. good but $4 cuz its in a jar im gonna throw away? anyways no mind it was worth the refresh . red beans n rice. bland no salt no pepper and im not a seasonor. bland almost minute white rice with red beans just put on top no stir legit try to stir and stained my shirt but thats my problem anyway, i guess thats my job anyway anywhere i go. fast move line work. im not one to leave reviews unless its good or unsatisfactory. i get the hole in the wall thing. i give love to that. as said chicken slapped good out of 3-4 on the half to mile run on 9 mile. but all and all with price and everything else. other spots im been trying place business with. sorry. thanks though. thank u for the woman giving me my collard greens when i came back in. thanks. service good. 3 out of 5 because wings were fall off bone i ate all the meat off them. if the chicken was bad i would have probably 2 because im not a 1star type."
