The ambiance is romantic old world with class and nostalgic touches. The outdoor front patio is lovely with plenty of seating and a small water fountain for Charm. The food was good and we will definitely comeback! Next time I will bring cash for valet, as it is complementary but you should tip, I swear we had no cash. Donna M. "Tonight was the second bad experience since the end of October. In October we had a birthday there for 6 and after we were there for over a hour and 10 mins before they even took our order. I finally had to asked can we order?Tonight (Black Friday) my friend and I went wine tasting and decided to have dinner. We put in our reservation and asked for the bar area. They said sure it will be a few minutes longer, I was fine with it. We got called to get seated. They put us in the main dining area. I don't like it there because it always takes way too long and the service is not great in the main dining area. It's also very cold in the dining a room. When I said we requested the bar area the kid that brought us to our table gave me such an attitude when I asked about it. He was like we don't do requests. I repeated that the lady at check in asked about the reservation and on the reservation form it said bar area. He was like NOPE! So that was the first thing.Next, I ordered a pear drop martini, they served it in a rock glass. I will also say they were not that busy when I was there. Lots of empty tables. I questioned it because it's usually always served in a martini glass. The rock glass just ruined it for me. My friend ordered her food and said the salmon was so salty and in so much oil and liquids that it was not good. Not a great first impression. My butternut squash ravioli was amazing. We each got a truffle and my friend couldn't even eat hers because it was either old or not mixed well. The dark chocolate had white chucks in it so she left it there. She said it was bad. She said she most likely will never come back. Im not sure what have been going on since the end of October, but it happens again I won't be back."

It was golden, soft, and basically the perfect vessel for all that deliciousness. Every bite felt indulgent and satisfying. That being said... it was *expensive*. If they knocked a few bucks off, I'd be back in a heartbeat. For now, it's a "treat yourself" kind of meal--delicious, but definitely not an everyday splurge."

Ashleigh P. "We came here for our anniversary. I made a reservation for 8:00, but we arrived at 7:45 and got right in. The hostess was very friendly, and we loved our server. The food was outstanding. We had steak bites, cabbage soup, Caesar salad, twin lobster tails, a vegetable pasta (Lupino), and butter cake. The gravy on the steak bites was amazing, and we couldn't stop talking about it. The soup and salad were about what you'd expect. The lobster was perfect and the pesto on the pasta was delicious, without being overpowering, and the vegetables with the pasta were fresh and flavorful. The butter cake was the best cake we've ever had in a restaurant. All the portion sizes were perfect, and we left feeling satisfied without being too full (which rarely happens with so many different items on the table). We also tried three different cocktails. The Boozy Bubbles was a great choice for social media in October, since it comes out smoking and bubbling. It tasted good as well, and went down easily but still had a kick. The New Old Fashioned was good, maybe the second best we've had. The Berry Blissful was interesting, kind of like a watery smoothie with alcohol. They all tasted great and had a thick, syrupy texture, which I thought was interesting. The feel of the place is a casual luxury. It's moody inside but there are TVs at the bar and contemporary music playing. The restrooms were very clean and well-lit. Guests were wearing a variety of clothing, from sweatshirts to cocktail dresses, and they all seemed to fit in nicely. We saw high chairs and a guest with a newborn in a car seat, but I wouldn't recommend taking young children due to all the glass and other decor on the table. We will be back!"

"If you asked me where to get the best seafood, the best service, and just have an all-out 5-star meal experience in the Detroit a metro area, my answer would always be Voyager. They have a great happy hour, to start. And sometimes you can catch an extra special happy hour with 6 oysters for $6 and that is my actual love language. The menu rotates enough so that there is always variety, but some mainstays so you know what to expect. Everything always tastes fresh, and the food is just prepared really well re: seasoning, temperature, plating. It's a little pricey, bc seafood, but I think it's absolutely worth it. Classy enough, the restaurant only supplies black crayons. I thought it was so classy to keep the aesthetic of high end dining. We ordered beers and wine. The waiter was very knowledgeable of all menu items. We ordered the escargot. I found it refreshing that the bread basket had a variety of different style breads and they also serve you a medley of veggies in a vin-egret style dipping for the bread. We also tried the lobster bisque soup and the chowder. Both great choices. The main courses were delicious. We went for the steak and the shrimp risotto. We shared the main dishes and still had to take some home. So it's a good amount. There's a near by parking garage. Which is very convenient."

Nicer dining atmosphere without going all the way to fine dining. Husband got the steak special, loved it. I got the fish special, love it. My daughter got a side of the Brussels and stole a bit of my husband's steak, and absolutely loved it (especially the Brussels). Now my picky son got the Alfredo pasta.... But ordered the enchiladas soup as a side (I think), and didn't love the smell? Strange child. He just pushed it away, and another lady noticed and inquired. THEY BROUGHT HIM ANOTHER SIDE OF HIS CHOOSING?!?! The lady didn't make him feel weird about it, nor seemed annoyed. She gets extra extra points for this! He loved his pasta as well. Drinks were kept full, and coffee warmed. Then at the end... my daughter finally made it obvious why she only got a side dish. She had her eye on a dessert, the pot de creme. This child (young adult) is VERY picky about this particular dish. She LOVED IT! Thanks for a great surprise meal! We maybe 90 min away, but will likely take side trips to visit!"

I thought it was going to be on the fancier side, but it's a casual come as you are type place. The decor has that waterfront vibe with a lot to look at as you sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Speaking of sitting, we sat by the window and had a view of the waterfront across the street. I had the Lake Perch with garlic mashed potatoes and their unique and delicious coleslaw. Started with the starter combo (hummus, baba ghanouj and tabouli), medium fatoosh salad less pita, 3 chicken kafta skewers, a medium fatoosh salad with chicken. They have a Nicole's special with veggies and feta, nice. They don't have the bread oven here, so just the bagged pita, we can't have it right now anyways, no temptation for us. The woman waiting on us is nice, warm and friendly. The other staff members are friendly too. They have a lot of bamboos around the windows. The starter combo looks good. It tastes pretty good, the hummus, baba ghanouj and tabouli. One customer came in without a mask to pick up his order, not a word to him at all about not having on a mask. Hmm. The fatoosh looks good as well. It's fresh and good, dressing is good as well. Some salad butts in your mix though, not a big fan. The chicken kafta is quite dry, tastes decent, could also use a bit more flavoring for me, as it was a tad bland bite for bite. The kebabs were a nice size. The chicken with the fattoush salad was quite good, the meat was juicy and nicely flavored too. The service is good here. The salads, starter combo were all good. The chicken kafta needed a bit more flavoring and less time on the grill."

There are various drinks available, including breakfast staples, but there are also a lot of excellent options for lunch and dinner. Still, I had a moment of panic as we sat down when we were given lunch/dinner menus. Fortunately, breakfast is available all day.One thing that immediately got my attention was the complimentary bread basket, which had fresh, thick white bread, butter, and a variety of crackers. It's like dining out used to be way back in 2019. The food arrived quickly. I got the Country Skillet, which had sausage, green peppers, onion, and sausage gravy served on top of hash browns. The sausage, peppers, onion, and 3 over easy eggs were flawless. And, there was a massive amount of it. I ordered it with rye bread, which I like using to make a sort of breakfast sandwich. Delicious. What was less great was that serving all that goodness on top of the hash browns made them soggy. My wife got a cheese omelette with hashbrowns on the side, and they weren't soggy. But, they weren't crispy the way I like them, either. The hashbrowns were the only thing that wasn't great about both of our meals.I'm very glad we got a side of pancakes, although we had so much food, we could barely eat any of them. They taste like they are made with buckwheat, and they are the best pancakes, this side of Original Pancake House. There are quite a few excellent things on the menu for lunch and dinner, too. And, as we found out, they serve breakfast all day. This means that any time of day seems like a great time to visit Paul's."
