"Our entire experience at Casablanca was just lovely. The server and other staff were warm, attentive, and very sweet to our toddler. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious ! I haven't lived in southeast MI for over a decade and constantly miss quality middle eastern food (particularly a shish tawook sandwich). Casablanca's shish tawook was perfection, I did a little happy dance with that first bite! We also tried their hummus, homemade bread, fattoush salad, lamb tagine, Moroccan coffee (my husband said it was one of the best things he's ever tasted), and several sweets. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"We had some shawarma bowls from here. The first time it was really good but we had the sauce put on instead of getting it on the side. It was a lot of sauce, messy, but really good. This time was got the sauce on the side, more manageable. The bowl was really good too! It had chicken, pickles, beets on the side, lettuce, and the yellow rice. The pita chips were on the side, because I don't like my chips soggy! I love pita chips but these chips tasted like they were fried in old oil. We ate the bowl without them and put the garlic sauce on our selves. Took the bowl home and my daughter just ate the rest. Kids are picky and she said it was really good and wants to get more. Good job over there!"

"New owner thus a new review :)As a person who's familiar with middle eastern dishes, authentic home-made taste, and quality meats, this place is the best around the city. The food is delicious and has many bold flavors that I crave. I always get the beef kafta kabob. Their chicken tawook skewers with big pieces of white meat, are delicious as well. In addition, they offer chicken cream chop and many fresh middle eastern salads. Whenever I stop by, I grab the tasty treat of Turshee (pickled yellow cabbage with pickled red turnips). The owners are so pleasant and have great customer service skills. They value their customers and provide clean and quality food for people to enjoy. Prices are reasonable, especially around the city of Troy. They have many other items on the menu, however, I always tend to go for my favorite ones."

We had lamb as the protein and cheese cubes in this wonderful sauce with garlic naan. It was very aromatic and the lamb was tender and a nice size for the main dish.The service was top tier and the server was very attentive. He even made some suggestions and helped us with our selection. The space was open with adequate seating and not overly decorated to lessen the authenticity of the restaurant."

I do wish there were more toasted almonds...it came with just a small handful of slices. Some other middle eastern places use the slivered almonds and more of them. Overall though, it's a good value for $3.99.I also ordered half a dozen pita bread, but received 9. I appreciate the bonus! The bread was hot, aromatic, and delicious, especially with the leftover garlic sauce I had.In terms of food quality, it's not the best middle eastern I've had, but portion sizes are great and the food is hot and fresh."

We used to regularly dine at a similar restaurant in Sterling Heights and thought SG might be a good replacement for this side of town. They are open for dine in as well as take out with limited seating capacity. We had studied the photos, reviews, and menus and had a pretty good idea of what we might order before we arrived. I wanted what I always ordered at the other place: Chicken Shawarma Wheat Pita with Garlic Sauce and assorted veggies. While some places have the chicken pre-sliced in a warming bin, here it is freshly sliced when ordered! It was then rolled, wrapped, and put on the grill for a few minutes. My wife had recent oral surgery and she has been on a liquid and soft food diet and chose the Curry Stew. The verdict is in and I'm certain that we will be back to try more menu items! Good food, good service, good portions, and reasonable prices!"

The chocolate cake was nothing special and the pistachio cake was kinda like cheesecake but had a sour/tart taste like Greek yogurt with not a lot of actual pistachio or sweet flavor, so I would recommend staying away from those two desserts."

This time I got a take out order because their dine in service was closed due to COVID(lack of staff). If you have never been here you can miss it because it's tucked back in a small strip center but it sits right on Inkster road off Cherry Hill. I normally get the mixed Shawrma entree with rice and a salad with extra garlic spread..oh and extra sauce for my chicken yummy!! I also got my husband the grilled chicken entree with rice also and added pink sauce(I'm sure there is an actually name for it). Be prepared for the large portions, I mean it's enough to share with another person or have it for a two day meal. Beware of my pictures because it was smelling so good I forgot to snap pictures before we started eating but you will get the point lol!"
