"I live extremely close to this location, and I was very surprised that I had never heard of it before. The service is extremely respectful and so welcoming to everyone that walks through the front door and it makes so much sense that they've received so many accolades for their business. The ambience inside is very Mediterranean and it smells superb. I went with some falafel bites and took home a rice pudding. The crunchiness and fresh taste behind the falafel had me hooked instantly. It came with a delicious dipping sauce that I gate-kept from the rest of my family haha!Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Mediterranean food!"
"Amazing food that is as good or better than the Middle Eastern restaurants in Dearborn. Very authentic.Hoda the waitress was attentive and professional, guiding us through ordering, etcHighly recommend."
Amazing! A popular Middle Eastern soup, with surprising hints of spicy and sweet flavors. Vegan. Gluten-free.

"Our entire experience at Casablanca was just lovely. The server and other staff were warm, attentive, and very sweet to our toddler. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious ! I haven't lived in southeast MI for over a decade and constantly miss quality middle eastern food (particularly a shish tawook sandwich). Casablanca's shish tawook was perfection, I did a little happy dance with that first bite! We also tried their hummus, homemade bread, fattoush salad, lamb tagine, Moroccan coffee (my husband said it was one of the best things he's ever tasted), and several sweets. I highly recommend this restaurant!"
"The selection and quality of Middle Eastern food are so good in this area. Levant Kitchen is in a small suite of a strip mall that seats less than 20 customers so most of the orders were for take-out. The menu was mainly wraps and bowls but wow, the serving sizes of the latter were huge for the price. If I had known I was getting this much food for my Beef Shawarma rice bowl, then I would have bypassed the small order of Tahini Cauliflower. The florets were lightly deep fried and then drizzled with tahini sauce. It was a unique item that I had not seen before. The bowl had a base of yellow basmati rice which was covered with lettuce, tomatoes, parsley, pickled cucumbers, pickled turnips, and sliced beef from the spit. A side of ranch dressing and garlic sauce were provided as dips for the salad and meat. The beef shawarma was well seasoned but not overly salty. I could not finish the dish after eating the cauliflower appetizer so I had to take half of it home with me. Levant Kitchen seems to be a great spot for an inexpensive, quick meal, however be prepared for leftovers because the quantity of food is significant. I enjoyed my experience and gave it a four star rating."
"Born and raised down here, I was excited to be back although so much of Bham has changed. Waahhh!!We walked in yesterday to grab a quick bite. Sat for 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Yes they were busy for a Thursday at 3:30-4 but we were at a table that everyone walked passed- in the way-- if you will. I think that soured me. I seen 6 different servers and a manager and not one stopped to see if he had been helped. Nonetheless, finally ordered. House bread was best. Nothing comes out hot, just warm. The speed that which they came, coupled with the warmth of my dishes-- they had to be done in large batches and kept under a warmer. Nothing seemed fresh if that makes sense. Another thing, this is Birmingham I expect the restaurant to be kept up. The restaurant is dated and the baskets they have as lights are all askew. There is one to the right of the bar that was literally like a spot light on someone. But don't worry, they keep the place darker so..All this for $100. Thanks but no thanks."
"Great place to grab some lunch. We stopped in and it was clean, not too busy and the food was delicious. The service was great and the location was convenient. Parking can be a challenge but it wasn't enough to deter me. The bowl reminded me of a lamb and rice dish that married a Greek salad. It was amazing and definitely would get another when I'm in the area."
"I simply have all the positive things to say about this Mediterranean establishment!!!Everything about this place is perfect! There is plenty of parking and seating. Each team member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and welcoming to include the restrooms. The food, the food! Fresh, every morsel full of flavor and every thing worked so well together! The vegetables crisp and paired well with the dressing. The bread warm and paired well with the hummus dips and garlic spread. The meat tender, juicy with a nice fire grilled crisp. Everything was perfect! Totally worth the 1hr plus drive for this Mediterranean food. Wish I lived closer to have lunches there. Can't wait to go back!"
"This place in a gas station has been here a long time. It's fabulous. I don't live nearby so when I do swing by this side of town, I make it a point to come here. Delicious food! The beef schawarma has all the goodies. I love the pickled turnips. The meat is not fatty. The foo foo fries is a must try!"
"The ambiance is pretty cool. Inside is simple and elegant. The outdoor patio is comfortable and wonderful with flowers and open air (see pictures).Service was attentive and over the top welcoming. Al, the owner, personally ensured that our experience was perfect. The food was delicious & fresh. Highly recommended! A hidden gem."
"I visited here with my family recently and I really really enjoyed my meal. I had the short rib from the hot bar which came with two sides and a soup. I chose potato wedges and green beans, and turkey chili.Let me just tell you, I was NOT expecting that! For such a quick preparation, I honestly had lower standards, but no, it was GREAT!The short rib was just amazing. Tender, flavorful, meaty. Even as leftovers, it was perfect. The sides were surprisingly flavorful too. I paired the turkey chili with some ritz crackers since I got carry out, and just yum. The employees here are so sweet and kind, so it was a positive experience as well. We were welcomed to take a seat while we waited for our food. I'd recommend!"
"Very, very good. Got the chicken shawarma salad ($11.50) which was a wildly generous portion of chicken on top of a very yummy salad. Chicken was charred and flavorful. The salad was served with a delicious pita bread and some whipped garlic spread that was so good I jokingly said it made me believe in god. The salad is almost enough for two meals but of course being that I have the appetite of two people I ate it in one. They have great lunch deals as well.Chicken and rice soup was pretty average and the rice pudding was straight up bad. Would order again for the salad alone, however."
"It is an unassuming spot in a strip mall but for a little local spot for some good Mediterranean, I was pleasantly surprised! The garlic sauce is dairy free and wonderful so ready the meal was off to a great start. The service was attentive, our server was knowledgeable about what items had dairy which was very helpful. I felt comfortable ordering and really enjoyed my meal, especially the salad. The restaurant and tables were clean and there were some other dine-in guests but it appears they are a big spot for take out too."

This is a great place for a vegetarian meal. The food is very tasty and the ingredients are definitely fresh and flavorful. You can make your own bowl or wrap and the selection is quite extensive. For just a few dollars more, you can make it a meal and they are very reasonable. This location has won lots of awards over the years and the service is excellent . They clearly take pride in what they do.

Anytime I return to Ann Arbor, Palm Palace is one of my first go to spots! There is no Middle Eastern food like Michigan's in the US-- and Palm Palace's is one of my absolute favorites. Besides the fun ambience with a palace-like exterior, when you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a camel statue! I'm always impressed with their service and affordable pricing, especially for the portions that you get. I love that they now offer robot servers, which my kids found super exciting, of course! My favorite dishes are the tabbouleh, fattoush, chicken tawook wrap, and hummus -- served with the fresh, warm pita bread. I also always order their lemonade and mint lemonade because they're freshly pressed and the iced mixture ratio is perfection! I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Michigan just so I can return to Palm Palace again!

My experience with Moroccan food is relatively limited --- it was SoCal-based where it was almost more about the entertainment, atmosphere with the tagines, the mint tea pour in a beautiful teapot from above head height....Casablanca is not that. It's super no frills, but it's tasty and like walking into someone's home because of the hospitality and family-run nature of it! They also have Mediterranean dishes but we wanted to try some new things. We ordered: *MOROCCAN COMBO (Choose 4: Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Zalook, Tabouli, or Falafel.) - We picked hummus, baba ghanoush, zalook (Fire-Roasted Eggplant puree with tomatoes, herbs, spice & olive oil ) and the tabouli. I've never had Zalook before and it was SO good. Super flavorful. All the dippie dips were delicious. It's served with this house made bread that we asked for seconds for! So tasty! *CHICKEN TAGINE WITH OLIVES ($17.99 - Slow-cooked Moroccan Chicken, olives; cooked with aromatic herbs & spices) - This was delicious - super juicy chicken. *KAFTA TAGINE (MOROCCAN MEATBALLS) [$18.99 Moroccan Meatballs seasoned with aromatic herbs & spices then sautéed with our house-made tomato sauce.] - I got my with cous cous ($+2.99) and had no regrets! I could tell this was a lamb blend of meatballs though as I'm a bit sensitive to the gameyness but honestly it wasn't too gamey at all. It was great the next day as well since the portions were huge! Definitely a good value. *HARISSA (House-made Hot Sauce! Chili pepper, spices & Extra-virgin olive oil) - definitely get this as a side. It packs a punch and there's definitely plenty to take home with you! I ended up using this to make tahini and harissa roasted cauliflower at home.It wasn't too busy at all for weekend night. There were mostly to-go orders. I'll have to come back to try the other menu items like the Bistilla, Charmoula, etc as well as save room for dessert.

When I say run, don't walk, to Levant Kitchen...I mean it! This is a true hidden gem in Canton. This was a total accidental visit, but it's now on my list to return to time and time again. They serve up plenty of Mediterranean food with options for vegetarians and vegans. First I *have* to give a shout out the staff: they were some of the the most friendly, accommodating and wonderful people. They offered so many recommendations, told us what their most popular items are and they ensured that since one we both had dietary restrictions, that they could fix us something for each. We ordered a little bit of everything:- Hummus & pita- Lentil soup -- I am not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best lentil soups I've had. I'm *very* critical of my lentil soup but this hit the spot- Loaded fries -- this is what reeled me in to this place. Their loaded fries come with their homemade yogurt sauce, crisp seasoned fries, cucumbers, pickles, tomatoes, red onion, feta and they even put some falafel on it for me at no additional charge- Plate of falafel - this was supposed to be a snack size and I think there 8-10 falafels in that plate - amazing. Their falafel is very crisp on the outside, but soft and flavorful inside. It didn't sit in my stomach like a brick like a lot of falafel does.- Tahini and cauliflower - this is made vegan! - Homemade/house-made turnips - so crunchy and delicious The portions sizes were great, the prices were perfection and the food was delicious. Make sure you stop in for the amazing food and the incredibly friendly staff. Would recommend!

Food is always amazing here. Fave items are the chopped salad, bread app, pizza, fried chicken sandwich, and salmon with avocado and onions. So basically everything

Solid Mediterranean fast food. You order at the counter and they give you a table number, and you choose your seat. We got the traditional gyro and the Greek plate with gyro meat. The meat itself was not fresh even though we were the first customers on a Sunday when it first opened. It's a little dry as you can see in the picture. Probably best to not get the plate as the gyro would be mixed with the sauce. Or you can mix it with the sauce itself. The 4 dip appetizer is really good though. Comes with a lot of pitas! Fries were very crispy and fresh. If you get a drink, it's free refills. There's self serve to -go boxes. Service is ok; nothing special. I asked for "the great Greek plate with gyro meat" as it says verbatim on the menu since it was my first time. He repeated "ok gyro plate." For a split second I got confused, and made sure by repeating the name on the menu. I said it politely and innocently. He looked at me and with a glib response "yea we call that the gyro plate." Ok man. Ambience is clean, bright, lots of table, booths along the wall. Definitely a sit down place. But nothing fancy. It's a quick bite situation like chipotle. Food: 3.5Ambience: 4Service: 3.5I want to give this a 3.6 and will round up

Really pleased with this restaurant! The food is great. They start you with a small plate of regular and spicy garlic sauce to dip their soft, fresh pita in (and they'll bring you extra bread if you need it). Tasty dip, and a nice touch. Ken likes the regular more than the spicy, but he's wrong (more spicy for me!).Their fattoush salad is a good size, and the dressing is appropriately tangy. I get the grilled chicken breast sliced on top - this is the best grilled chicken I've had in forever!Ken's go to is the lamb kafta dinner - I can see why, as the meat is so flavorful (once again, best I've had). Huge meal for the price - we always have leftovers. Lamb chili is also tasty.Interior is roomy. Service is great. Shared parking lot with the rest of the strip.

Best Mediterranean food in the area! Ordered a combo for 4 and there was a ton of food. Not pictured is the hummus, fattoush salad, garlic sauce, tershi, and pita bread that was included with the combo. I spoke to one of the staff on the phone regarding my order and he was very helpful and friendly. Also every time I order from DoorDash, I always get my food fast.

"I love Mr. Kabob in Berkley. When this location opened up in Troy I was ecstatic!!! It's perfect, you're in and out super quickly. And the food never fails. I am usually there once a week."
"Everything on the menu comes out so yummy! We've only ever ordered delivery and takeout so I don't know too much about seating or service but I know ordering is breeze and even when delivered or waiting to be picked up it's always fresh food and ready on time. The bread is amazing and never stale, the chicken is delicious and the fattoush salad is one of my favorites. We've tried different different meats, and the marination is always amazing. I would definitely recommend trying this place."
"I've been coming here every week for the last couple of weeks. The service is so fast and friendly - you get a bunch of bread with the best garlic sauce as a free appetizer, and they cook so quickly that by the time you're on the second piece of bread the main course is already out.We really like the feast of meats for two ($38 as of Dec 2024). It's really enough for 3-4 people in my opinion, especially if you eat a lot of bread like we do. The platter comes with a mix of kebabs and shawarma, grilled veggies, rice, and tahini. The seasoning is not too heavy, so you don't get overwhelmed and sick of the taste. We also love the hummus platter here, which comes with an arrangement of fresh vegetables. Cannot recommend this place enough."
"LA Bistro always delivers excellent food, service and atmosphere. Both the Dearborn and Canton locations are on our "go to" list."
"Solid 4-4.5 star experience. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. We got the spinach fatoosh feta salad. Very fresh. And the hummus and garlic sauce with the warm bread was delicious. Definitely plan to come back."
"Loved everything about this place. The food, the service, the cleanliness. Everything tasted super fresh and everyone working there was so friendly. Have already recommended it to a few people and will be back when I'm in town again!"
"We found this place a month or so ago while visiting the bookstore next door. We decided to make our way back here to try the food. It was absolutely delicious. I believe this space is in the space of the former Caribou Coffee, which I miss! It is a cute, rustic space, nicely decorated. It looks like a Pita Way with the assembly line of ingredients, but I am not sure if you can design your own bowls and sandwiches. The people working here seemed pleasant. It is a bit expensive for a mostly carry-out place, but we decided to eat here.I had the cauliflower. I got the small. It was so flavorful and delicious. It had a nice spice and I believe tahini on top. It tasted like something my child brought home and I had been craving, so I am glad I found a place nearby that serves it. My only regret was not getting the larger portion because even though I did end up with leftovers, I would have wanted more leftovers. I tried their loaded fries with chicken. It was amazing. The fries were so crispy and the sauce, cheese, pickles, onions, and chicken just added so much. I am craving it right now. I need to go back and get more. We tried their Shesh burger. It was actually so nicely done, with a tasty BBQ char flavor. We did try a sandwich, but my husband felt it was not as good as other places. The soup was nice and hot, could have been thicker, but had a good flavor. Still, it was good but the loaded fries and cauliflower is where it's at, at this place. I would get a carry-out of just those."
"I work in Dearborn, which has the finest Middle Eastern food on the continent. Kabob Town is a slice of Dearborn on the east side, but it's much more than that. In addition to traditional Middle Eastern fare, there is a huge selection of western foods. And, they are really good. But first, the main attractions. The chicken Shawarma sandwich looks and taste just like what you would get in Dearborn, except that it's larger. Everything is huge here. I decided to put that large fattoush chicken feta salad on a scale, and it weighed 2 1/2 pounds, without salad dressing.I decided to try the salmon galaba sandwich recently. It's hefty, and only $7.99. There is not a lot of salmon in it, but it tastes great. The lemon rice soup is excellent, and we make sure to get one with every meal.My 21-year-old son doesn't eat anything that isn't deep-fried, so he was happy that they had fried shrimp, onion rings, and other western items on the menu. Don't be fooled by the "kids" designation on the menu. The servings are huge. My son got a burger and fries, which he loved, and he couldn't finish it all.The large portions don't come along with a large price. Everything is reasonably priced. And, despite ordering from here several times, every order has been perfect. I honestly can't think of a single other restaurant where that is true."
"I went to Sheesh during my recent travels but I forgot to log the names of the dishes. What I can say is the food was delicious, nice and hot, and enough spice just the way I like it. We had lamb as the protein and cheese cubes in this wonderful sauce with garlic naan. It was very aromatic and the lamb was tender and a nice size for the main dish. The service was top tier and the server was very attentive. He even made some suggestions and helped us with our selection. The space was open with adequate seating and not overly decorated to lessen the authenticity of the restaurant."
"This place is awesome! Clean, friendly service and amazing food. We tried the Gyro, lemon rice soup, French fries. Everything was delicious, soup was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The gyros(beef/lamb) were full of meat hot right off the grill. French fries were fresh, hot and very potatoey! And a coke machine, love these so many flavors to choose from. Cannot wait to go back and try grape leaves, fattoush, and beef kabob pita. Yummy!!!"
"I love this place and I love the vibe- Albert is a wonderful host and you feel like you're eating at home, only the food is better and healthier than I could makeThe lunch specials are a great deal- my mom loved the chicken shwarma, I had the fattoush salad and we shared a hummus and vegetable plate- so much food! My mom took hers home and ate another meal or two the next day"
"Visiting the city on a business trip, I was fortunate to find this gem in the local shopping center located in walking distance from the hotel. The reviews were spot on but it didn't give justice to the freshness and bold flavors that I enjoyed from first bite to the last. Thank you to the server for recommending a delicious cocktail to compliment my meal. I knew I would be returning for more during my time there and so glad I did."
"Impromptu dinner plans due to laziness and the experience was mediocre .Ordered Stuffed Lamb($17.95) that comes with almonds topped rice and Lentil soup with some bread. Friend ordered kapsah lamb($14.95)dish as well with a soup( Chicken lemon rice). The dishes are pretty same meat expect change of rice colors and both are equally bland. Pros:------Free parkingQuick serviceCons:------- FoodNot going again ."
"The food is really good here (I loved the lobster bisque & my friend loved her truffle fries), we liked our drinks and the restaurant is decorated nicely but the vibe here is strange. It's like they are trying to be trendy while also being a family restaurant. The customers were rude when I was there and it didn't help that the tables are way too close together. I think I need to try this place during the week and update my review but for now I will give jay jay's a 3/5."
"Located the plaza with convenient parking. The restaurant service was decent there sometimes on the slower side. The food for what it is is OK. It's more counter service food then table service food, but it is a place that is table service I guess what it means is that it feels more fast food than anything that you would sit down for. It's all right overall. It's very bright and it seems clean."
"I love the food and service at Ike's. The staff are always professional and keep right on top of what you're doing what you need and come to ask how you're doing. It was late on a Sunday night. On our way home from an event in downtown Detroit and not many places are open but we went along van Dyke Road and I remembered Ike's. lucky for my memory, because it turned out to be one of the most awesome restaurants we could have stopped at along the way. I decided to try something different and off of the vegetarian menu I ordered Mjadra which is a lentil dish and was absolutely delicious if you like lentils. It came with soup salad, and always pita bread. I selected the lentil soup to go along with my lentil dinner, and it was a lemon lentil soup, which was unique. For the salad, you get many choices, and I chose tabouli. The servings were huge so needless to say I had plenty of food to carry out and eat the next day for a meal. My friend ordered the smothered chicken dinner, and he got the beef barley soup and a salad with raspberry vinaigrette, which he said was one of the tastiest raspberry vinaigrette dressings he's ever had So all in all, we had a wonderful experience, and walked out of there with full bellies and a big carry out bag. I suggested to my friend that maybe next time we would split a meal because they are so huge and with the soup and salad and pita bread it's just over the top."
"Fabulous food! Our server Julie was so nice and helpful. The ambiance is elegant. Yet the food was very reasonably priced. Recommend it highly."
"Easily my go to spot when I want some healthy and don't feel like cooking. The owners are so nice. Always busy. The Salmon Fattoush Salad has easily become my favorite. It's fresh, delicious every time, and is packed with the most perfectly seasoned salmon I've ever had! What do they put on it!? www.thebitetonight.com"
"This was the first time eating here. I had carry out. Ordered the deboned chicken l, with chicken lemon rice soup and the fresh baked bread. I left and came back for my food. It was ready when they said and still very hot when I got home. Good portions and chicken was tender, moist and perfectly charred, the bread is great and melts when you eat it, rice was very good and the almonds added that special touch. Will be sure to go again."
"They keep it simple, easy and safe. The person who took my order was friendly and attentive. I wanted only half of falafel plate. He said they generally don't do but customized it for me. Ordered falafel, DebonedChicken (with fries and salad) and Boneless grilled chicken plate. The rice was topped with crunchy pine nuts. I chose lentil soup with entree, it was okay. It also comes with a massive bag of freshly baked warm pitas. The flavors were good and chicken was cooked to perfection. Prices are very reasonable and nice portion size. It's located with lots of food places around. Shared free parking. Convenient no touch carry out service, they bring your order to the car. I am really looking forward to returning."
"Picked a random restaurant to go to in the area one day while getting my taxes done, and we ended up here. Great food and service. I live about 25 minutes away and have gone out of my way to come back here a few times since."
"Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants in West Bloomfield! The food is mouthwatering, home-cooked tasting, perfectly seasoned Persian food dishes. Of course, nothing beats my mom's Persian food, but this is a very close second.I order from this restaurant at least once a week. The portion sizes are really good and come with a delicious soup for the entrées. I highly recommend the lentil soup.I always order the Joojeh Kabob (grilled chicken) and Khoobideh. Gholmeh sabzi is amazing there too. Don't forget to order a Mast-O-Moosie. It's a garlic yogurt dish that goes really good paired with the meals. Here are some pictures of their Saturday buffet, which is one of the best buffets I've had in my life!I forgot to mention they have a really great wait staff who are super nice and love their regulars!"
"A delicious lunch on our trip at AA.Chicken dinner plates were very good.Thumbs up for the hummus and the grape leaves."
