"Had a wonderful dinner, and overall experience down on the riverfront. Went with the filet which was perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. The zip sauce wasn't overbearing. We also had the bolognese pasta which was also good. The service provided by Erica was above par, especially compared to other restaurants of similar Caliber. I also have to give a shout out to the hostess Suzie who helped me with the parking garage and directions! Andiamos validates parking and you really don't even have to walk outdoors to get to the restaurant. And don't forget about the great happy hour 4-6....we'll be coming back for sure."
"I'm not really an Italian food fan, but we wanted to try a new restaurant for new years. Our waiter was phenomenal, so that was a plus. For appetizers we ordered the lamb meatballs, ricotta cheese, and colorful cauliflower. The meatballs were super moist and the included sauce was the perfect touch! The flavor of the cauliflower was light yet still good. For entree I ordered the scallops (a total of 3) with the hazelnut puree on the side. THE SCALLOPS TOUCHED MY SOUL! EACH ONE COOKED TO PERFECTION and every bite made me melt. And the wine I had paired so well with it. As for the pièce de résistance, raspberry lemon sorbet! My taste buds could not be any happier. It was beyond delicious!"

"We went there a day after thanksgiving and good that we had reservations coz this was definitely a busy place that night.. the ambience is very cozy and they also had live Italian music too.. food was great too.. between the 3 of us we ordered the wine special they had, caprese salad, pear Gorgonzola salad and penne con vedura something pasta.. all 3 items were great.. we also liked the bread basket they got initially and seems a lot of people had mentioned they liked that too.. For desert we ordered the tiramisu which is homemade, definitely not a disappointment.. it's very rare I like tiramisu and their's is definitely high up on my list..We will surely try to come here again, it's a good sit down restaurant"
"Great atmosphere, food, service and drinks!!! We enjoyed a great family dinner. I will definitely be returning."
"From outside the front you would never expect what a hidden gem this place is. In the front, it looks like every other older spot in Mexican Town Detroit. However, when you enter the giant decorative metal gate in the back, it is beautiful. This place was packed with people enjoying the outdoor dining space.El Barzon is a Mexican and Italian restaurant with options for everyone. This is not an American style Mexican, it is incredibly authentic. I ordered the Mole Enchiladas with chicken. My wife got a Margarita pizza from their wood fire oven (only available on weekends). Our table had some calamari, courtesy of the owner. The Enchiladas de pollo Mole were incredible. The mole takes them days to make and it is so deep with flavor. It is sweet, tangy, and spicy. The chicken just fell apart and it was a perfect portion. I couldn't get enough of the sauce. My wife's margarita pizza was also amazing. It was perfectly crispy, but still floppy where it needed. The wood fire oven sets it on top. Would definitely recommend trying it on a weekend. This place is a hidden, but not so hidden gem. From the service, to the food, to the beautiful patio, this place delivers. Next time you are downtown, check it out."
"My new favorite restaurant outside of the Ann Arbor area- everything was incredible!! The vegetable gratin was so flavorful I could barely tell if I was eating vegetables. The espresso martini tasted like it had actual espresso, not milky and sickly sweet like other places where I've had them. I also shared dessert with my friend and forgot to take a picture which is a tragedy because it was the lemon torte cake and it was so delicious. The service was great- they had great recommendations and let us sit at the bar while we waited for our table reservation. I also love the location- they have a nice size parking lot and there's lots of street parking nearby as well. The restaurant is also near the downtown so it feels more peaceful and intimate and I love the inside- moody and cozy. Great for date night or intimate dinner with friends!"
"Beautiful beautiful establishment! Pink everywhere. My only complaint was that the host made me take my knitted hat off...the cooks had baseball caps on as well as knitted hats. The food was phenomenal! The margarita pizza flavors pop with the homemade sauce with a touch of chili peppers; and the ravioli sauce and almonds No room for dessert but they have a dessert menu."
"It was my first time at Giovanni's and I really enjoyed myself. The space was great with several different seating areas. We were in a small room in the back with only four tables which was really cozy. Our server was friendly, just the right amount of attentive, and made some great recommendations around what to eat and drink. We shared the calamari to start which was a winner. You will not leave hungry since most of the dishes also come with soup or salad. I loved my salad with the addition of some blue cheese. For mains we had the veal piccata, lasagna, and linguine with pomodoro sauce and a meatball. I liked that the portions weren't so huge that it was overwhelming....it was just right to feel perfectly full and maybe save room for dessert.I'll be excited to go back again!"
"The. Real. Deal.Real fun place to shop in. Get your wallets out because if you're anything like me, you just can't pass up quality. A small little store with a lot of products. Including a great deli selection. House made counter and sandwich counter in the back. I had the classic Italian on a hard roll. Also the prosciutto on a hard roll. I grabbed some great store selections as well. Beef and spinach ravioli, gnocchi, Italian sausage and cannolis. 100% would be there multiple times a week if I was local."
"This is a must visit for lovers of Italian cuisine. The food is presented in a cozy, yet romantic setting. The staff here is very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The recommendations made to me allowed me to satisfy my tastes for all I wanted to experience while dining there. Their presentation and portions were satisfying as well as esthetically pleasing."
"Ambiance starts from the outside - they have the prettiest courtyard - absolutely Instagramable! Lights and statues and dramatic wall. Try to get a table by the window to overlook all that prettiness Service starts from the front door - from greetings to attentive service. And, luckily, the food doesn't disappoint either. Can't go wrong with any dish. Absolutely loved chicken marsala and lasagna. Unfortunately this time they ran out of calamari :(. Maybe next time!"
"Great brick oven pizza! Nice atmosphere while dining in. We usually do carry out since we live very close."

The dining experience was top notch all the way around. This was a birthday dinner so expectations were pretty high. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and shown directly to our table. The view of the river from the table was excellent. Shortly after being seated, our server Talesha arrived. She was a pro. Her smile lit up the room. After introducing herself, she took our drink order and left us so we could peruse the menu. The made to perfection martinis arrived promptly and Lori and I placed our food order. We ordered the calamari and burrata as apps. Both were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of peperoncini in the calamari. It added a very nice kick to the dish. For our entrees, I ordered the ribeye and my wife ordered the fettuccini limone e granchio. Both entrees work cooked to perfection and the presentation was lovely. During the meal, Mike Nowinski (Operating Partner) stopped by the table to see how we were enjoying the meal. After telling him how pleasant the experience was, we visited for a while about the history of the restaurant and the other restaurants under his management. He is a professional and operates an extremely well run business. I'm giving the restaurant a 5 star rating. The service was superb, the food was excellent, the pricing was inline for a restaurant of this caliber, and the entire experience was memorable. Lorie and I will return and hope we are lucky enough to have Talesha as our server and get a table side visit from Mike.

Delicious! I've been two times when I visit Detroit and I've ordered the sheep milk hot honey cheese dip and the pistachio cake with olive oil ice cream both times. The service is impeccable. They treat you so well and remember tiny details to ensure you're happy. Decor is lovely. I do wish they turned the music down a bit so we could talk.

Everything was amazing! Front of the house was so understanding- we were late due to the snow storm. Servers were awesome and the food was delish! It was for my son's birthday and they did everything possible to make it special for him. It was also his/our first birthday without my husband who passed on thanksgiving. The empty chair with ice cream was for him on his birthday.

Dined here twice this week! The Michael Agnello wine dinner event was 5 stars. We were greeted with Champagne, browsed jewelry, nice spring side salad, tasty chicken puttanesca, and delicious chocolate crème brûlée pot. Also paired with the Scrooge drink and Bononza Cab. Service was attentive. Event room was cozy and decorated for the holidays. It was lovely hearing from the entire Baldwin family and their history. A step above would've been if they walked around to ask how everything was. Last night we tried our luck to dine in the dasher room with our toddler. We got a floor table, which was fine for us. We got the kids pizza but were super disappointed that he never got the bombolino. I forgot to remind the waitress so I'm hoping they'll make up for it and give him 2 next time. We got the Scrooge drink again - it tasted different than at the wine dinner. Not as good but served in a bulb which was cute but I think it ruins the effervescence of the Champagne. I questioned if Champagne was in it at all. We also ordered an Old Fashion. For dinner we ordered the Chicken Saltimbocco dish. It was not as good as the wine dinner chicken dish I had days earlier. It was also missing mushrooms which the waitress had corrected. The wine dinner version had nice large flakes of Parmesan. This evening's chicken had none. I'm not sure what to expect if I order this again in the future. Waitress was really busy and checked in frequently. Only downside was that missed bombolino which I'm hoping we'll get double if we decide to come back!

El Barzon is both an Italian and Mexican restaurant. The service has always been exceptional in the 10+ years I've been dining here. Meals begin with complimentary chips and salsa, while bread and butter is served with appetizers. The salsas are better than the average Mexican restaurant's, and chip baskets get replenished free of charge. If you plan on drinking, I recommend reviewing the margarita menu.As for appetizers, both the insalata caesar (caesar salad) and calamari La Noria are worth getting. I could distinctively taste the anchovy in the caesar salad, but it wasn't overbearing by any means. The croutons tasted fresh and weren't overly dry or crunchy. I initially questioned why arugula was a part of the calamari La Noria, but it ended up being a nice touch. The pennette (penne) alla vodka is the best I've been able to find locally. The kiss pasta is also incredible, but is quite pricey ($33) for a pasta dish. I didn't dislike the scaloppine (veal) alla Frances, but it's my least favorite dish I've had here. The costolette di vitello (veal chop) alla Milanese is the better veal dish between the two, but is more than double the price. My most recent experience at El Barzon was in celebration of my wife and I's anniversary. The staff was kind enough to surprise us with a complimentary "happy anniversary" dessert. The dessert was flan, and it was delightful. However, it was the staff going the extra mile for us I appreciated more than anything. El Barzon successfully pulls off the combination of Italian and Mexican cuisines, and offers a worthwhile dining experience.

Ambience inside was fine; nothing I'd phone home about. We were seated right away on a Sunday evening. There is outdoor seating but we opted for inside. My husband and I came with our 4 young kids and our young niece while visiting from out of town. Not the most kid friendly place. The kids menu only had four items on it. My son said the grilled cheese was good. The rest had chicken tenders and they're basically a breaded chicken breast that they just cut up. It's not your typical "tenders". There are NO FRIES which was a big bummer for the kids. Their side is sweet potato chips, and while the adults thought they were good, the kids didn't. Also, the water cups and lemonade cups did not have lids and you guessed it, one of the waters spilled everywhere. If a restaurant has a kids menu, they really should have cups with lids. My husband had the white fish filet and we both thought it was delicious. I had the Asiago baci and it was delicious. I would not come back again with kids. Four stars for my husband and I's food. Three stars for the overall experience with the kids and their food.

Absolutely loved my visit to Mad Nice! The fun decor and dark lighting definitely gave it a trendy California vibe and reminded me of some of my favorite places in San Diego! Our server was great the whole night and very attentive. He was helpful and fun and everything we ordered came out quickly. My colleagues and I tried a variety of items from the appetizers, to pizza, and amazing dessert! Our cocktails were also phenomenal! Standouts for me were my cocktail, '55 Thunderbird & A Drive-In Movie, Shrooms Pizza, and the Vanilla Bean Gelato. I was so obsessed with my cocktail I reached out to the restaurant on IG and inquired about the recipe! The Shrooms pizza was mouthwatering and I loved the fun idea of cutting my own slices with the scissors they serve the pizza with. The gelato was shared with the table and HUGE! But wow it was so soft and creamy and flavorful. My party really loved each of their dishes as well. Can't wait to go back!

"My favorite place for Italian food! The service is always great, great ambiance and consistently great food... The chicken Toscana is my favorite and usual go to... the sauce itself is delicious and love that it is not super lemon forward. Some times Picatta and other dishes are so overpowering with lemon and Toscana is not that way at all..."
"I had fantastic service, a wonderful Greek salad (dressing is the best!) & a most delicious & plentiful chicken picatta. Oh! I buried the lead! They have the best (no argument, pls) breadsticks. Just fabulous. Highly recommend. No pics bcuz I was completely enjoying myself. We will be back."
"Service was great. Food was delicious.I grew up in the kitchen at Luigi's helping my aunt uncle run the kitchen and I always tell my staff how wonderful the food special the pizza was So for our company Christmas party this year I chose to take everybody to Luigi's for dinner. I let them order from the menu from stakes to pasta. Everything was outstanding. Our waitress was wonderful. She answered all our questions. I can't say enough about this almost historic restaurant come early and make a reservation Because they are always busy."
"Fun environment for the family. Went on trivia night which was super fun. The waitress was friends and the food came out quickly! Definitely going back for trivia. The pizza was a little salty but I'll try another one."
"The ambiance is pretty cool. Inside is simple and elegant. The outdoor patio is comfortable and wonderful with flowers and open air (see pictures).Service was attentive and over the top welcoming. Al, the owner, personally ensured that our experience was perfect. The food was delicious & fresh. Highly recommended! A hidden gem."
"My friend recommended this place for us to eat from the previous reviews and it met our expectations! The place was nice, neat, and cutely decorated for the holidays. We also appreciated the private parking lot over street parking. My friend had the The Breast Chicken Parm Sandwich and I had the Serious Beef Sandwich. We also got drinks from the fridge, I had a yummy cherry soda and she had a refreshing coconut water. We loved our sandwiches and were able to have it as leftovers. I will say mine was very fragrant, soggy probably from the juices, and a little messy to eat. None of which bothered me but just to note!"
"We have lived in Brighton for 1.5 years. Ciao Amici's quickly became one of our favorites. Great food, great ambiance, and great service every time. Last night we had dinner there for the last time as we are moving across state. During our conversation with our server we mentioned this. Shortly thereafter the owner stopped by our table having heard we were moving away. Real class. Later our server said the owner was buying us desert. This is the classiest restaurant in the area and we can't recommend it enough!"
"We very much enjoyed our experience at Forest. we ordered the octopus, artichoke soup, short rib cannelloni and halibut. All were fantastic save for the octopus, it was a bit chewy but the flavor was on point. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend."
"Deeeeelish! Great food and service. We gobbled just about everything up. Also, always love when the manager or owner (not sure) comes out and says hello and asked how our meal was. We will be back for certain"
"Got the Snow White & Neighbour's Favourite (+ red sauce), pretty amazing. Loved how soft and fluffy the bread was with the taste of the wood fire oven; the cheese and toppings went really well with the Alfredo and roasted garlic oil sauces. Also, loved the fried burrata, rosemary bread and homemade pesto, just top notch. Can't wait to try the other pizzas and eat in next time, the atmosphere inside is great!"
"I'm have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and there's nothing better downriver."
"LA Bistro always delivers excellent food, service and atmosphere. Both the Dearborn and Canton locations are on our "go to" list."
"Very good pizza ,and the Goulash is very good also, our lunch crew tried it last year for first time and we all enjoy a trip to Fredi's. It is a little odd ordering, pull a number like the sos, but staff does a good job explaining it. However when it is crowded it hard to sit around and wait, without being in way. Staff is organized though and does a great job moving people in and out.Small footprint restaurant but they maximized seating and made outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended if you are in the area."
"How this place isn't a full 5 stars is beyond me!!! It's a GEM!!! Extreme attention to detail from the beautiful decor to the food and service. This family truly cares about their customer family. This was my first time visiting and it was absolutely delicious but what really impressed me was seeing the people enjoying their meals. The place was full and no one was on a cell phone!!! Families were talking and laughing and enjoying each other's company!l it was beautiful to see. The outside isn't fancy, but the inside is warm and inviting. Since I'm not Italian I don't remember their name but the rice ball appetizer was one of the most delicious things I've ever had. Literally drove 2 hours and it was worth it!!!!"
"How had I not known about Zeoli's before now?!!There were 5 of us and we all liked our choices!I had a wonderful green bean Gorgonzola with a wonderfully flavored lemon vinaigrette dressing, perfectly tossed. I am sorry not to have a pic to share! Dark greens and lemony light dressing. Plenty of green beans, some red Onion and perfect amount of Gorgonzola! Enjoyed every bite until it was gone. Next up, vegetable marinara w zucchini noodles! As requested, chef spiced up mine perfectly! Still had a few shakes of their red pepper :) I cooked up some of my pasta and enjoyed the leftovers today. Sauce was even better than yesterday. Two whole tomatoes from the dish added to remaining veggie marinara SO GOOD!!For dessert, tiramisu that was perfectly balanced between choco, coffee and whipped cream flavors and consistency I will be back for the veggie marinara for take out as that was the best I've had in a long time!! Waitstaff super friendly, passed thru a few times to make sure all was well! It was quiet on Monday when we met at 4:15p. Value for the money and well worth going!!"
"It had been a long while since I visited Bella but a friend chose it for her birthday- I'm not sure why I stayed away so long: the Branzino was excellent and the service was always on point Outdoor seating on a beautiful day is a plus but make a reservation as they're usually quite busy"
"NYPD is our go-to pizza spot in A2. The dine in area is large enough for groups- and it's decorated like we are in NYC. We order up a freshly made pie on the spot, it is served up delicious & cooked to perfection. My favorite is the white sauce pizza, while my son opts for the yummy Chi town pizza. My man loves the pepperoni roll. We can't wait for our next slice!"
"9-24-24: Came in today for a business lunch and was happy to see Gluten Free Options on the menu. The service and food were enjoyable."
"I always wanted to try this bbq place the last time I was in Lapeer 9 years ago. We stopped by the place and the food was really good. We liked the Smokey wings and sausages. The waitress was great and very friendly. One of the best places to eat in Lapeer!"
"I hadn't been to Antonios in several years and it was great to see that they have maintained a high level of service and food. The lunches were very good. I especially enjoyed the chicken Marcella and the warm butter bread was excellent."
"Outstanding restaurant all around! An 'old school' Italian restaurant feel that is anything from casual to swanky with knowledgeable waitstaff and phenomenal food! This is where I go for the best steak! All Piedmontese - and the filet is flavorful. And they have always been perfectly cooked. I brought 4 new friends with me a couple weeks ago and the bf. Six out of six positive reviews for everything we ordered! And also some live lounge music, at least on the weekends. I drive all the way from Royal Oak to this place!!"
"We had a very disappointing visit to D'Marcos last night, with a group of friends. Some specifics:The minestrone soup was barely warm when it arrived. By the time the waitress checked in with the table, the entrees were arriving, so it was too late to request that the soup be heated. The house salad was limp with far too much dressing. The smoked provolone pieces mentioned in the salad's description were nowhere to be found. It contained only one-quarter of a single slice of tomato and exactly two beans. Here again, I couldn't request a fix because the waitress did not reappear until the entrees were being set down. While the meat and pasta on the braised short rib entree were very good (albeit just barely lukewarm), the celery and carrots in that dish were cold and raw. Not undercooked. Raw and icy. Pretty stunning for an entree that was priced at $30. Bread wasn't placed on the table until we were almost done with the entrees. The pumpkin pie cheesecake was very tasty, however at $14 for a very small piece, it was vastly overpriced.Entrees for two of the people in my group were completely inedible and had to be sent back. With no beverage, my tab was a whopping $59 before the tip. I wouldn't mind the amount but nothing about this meal justified it. The service wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. Our waitress seemed bored and disinterested. She didn't check in with us. A hostess stopped by the table as we were paying our bill, however that's far too late in the meal for anything to be corrected. In an area with many great places to eat, D'Marcos was a big, expensive disappointment."
"The food was excellent. I had chicken parmigiana. Two large chicken patties cooked perfectly. Angel hair pasta and sauce was delicious. My husband had Dante's inferno. The spice was perfect and the portions were enormous. Our friends had lasagna and shrimp with garlic and oil. They said theirs was delicious as well. Freshly baked breadsticks were yummy as well. The service was exceptional. It was pretty empty in the restaurant, not sure why because the food is amazing. Very reasonable prices as well. Definitely would come back when in the area."
