"This week new item on the special. Mushroom Garlic Parmigiana Burger with onion straws. Yum. I love there burgers."
"Stopped for Saturday lunch. A nice little spot. Not too busy. Plenty of sports on TV. The bartender was running the whole joint. He had three at the bar and three tables. He did spectacularly. Better than most waitstaff I've seen lately. Friendly. On the ball. Helpful. He mentioned that he had a special on loaded potato soup. On a drizzly December Saturday, we were sold. Bowls, please. Delicious. We followed with salads. I opted for the Michigan salad; mixed greens, dried cherries, Granny Smith apples, and gorgonzola cheese. I added grilled chicken and subbed in balsamic for the original raspberry vinaigrette. It was loaded up and delish. I had to take half home. The hubs got the BIG salad, which was basically a loaded up chef salad, with bleu cheese dressing. He liked it, but I think he regretted not ordering mine. It's definitely a stop we will make again"
"Stopped by yesterday with a few friends for a bite to eat and a drink. Service was very good and the food was great. There was also live music which was nice on a Thursday night. They definitely need to get some new TV screens in there though."
"First time. Food was typical bar food, nothing special. Service was good. The was a very drunk, loud and annoying customer who was a regular. We said something and the answer was sorry he is a regular."
"Came here for some late night food. Kitchen closes around 1am. Service is very friendly, music is cool and upbeat. It definitely looks and smells like a bar that's been around for quite some time. We ended up ordering the catfish dinner. Everything was cooked great. The coleslaw and fries were seasoned very nicely. Unfortunately, the seasoning in the catfish batter lacked significantly. The breading was so bland. So if that recipe could be adjusted, the dish would be perfecto!"
"Random stop into this restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. I enjoyed the open concept and windows. I was able to get fresh air without having to sit on the patio. I had the burger which was made fresh, and the homemade kettle chips which were also delicious. The waitress was very friendly as well."
"I hate your service Duggans. I know you are understaffed and your people are doing their best. But damn your food is good and it makes up for the lack of wait staff. I know, I tried a little bit of everything here. Your fish and chips are by far my favorite. You literally just battered and fried up three baby cods and put them on top of my fries. DELICIOUS. Cajun steak pasta? Just the perfect amount of butter and grease to satisfy a craving but not enough to upset the stomach. Salads are crunchy fresh and the dressing packs a lot of flavor. I had to hunt down for my server to make an order in which it was still incorrect (salad still had tomatoes for my non-tomato eating spouse) but... if you have the mindset to come here... you already know they are busy and you should order your three Guinness's when you sit down. I'll be coming back. I'll research my menu and decide what I want the moment the server approaches my table. Lesson learned :) Whatever it takes to eat"
"I've lived 10 minutes from Irish Tavern for almost four years now and finally got around to trying it!I was craving wings and wanted to try a new place. I called and placed a carryout for two orders of wings; Buffalo and Butter Parmesan. Both were being packaged up when I walked in to get my Carryout. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly with plenty of meat on the wings. My favorite of the two was the Butter Parmesan! I had leftovers for the next day too! Very good!"
"My favorite Irish pub!!!! Their drinks are amazing, food is delicious, ambiance is great and service is wonderful. Full package at this pub! It is always a fun time and a delicious one as well. Check out their events - they post on their social and in the pub. Love the live music. Go to: Michigan salad with chicken cut, double breadsticks (you will crave these 24/77777777. Best. In. The. State!), French onion soup and a signature drink. Whelp. Now i want another breadstick."
"Stopped in mid afternoon on Saturday to have a drink and watch the Masters. Front room was closed. Back room was busy. Service was slow and disappeared for long time. Asked for a cocktail and after some discussion was told cannot make due to not having an ingredient. Lots of draft beer. One person in our group ordered a wine and could not finish it."
"Met with my friend for our weekly Tuesday night dinner. Decided to come by here and try it out! Started with the feta dip appetizer, then ordered the salmon zen bowl with a salad. The feta dip was really good, I'd never had anything like that before and it was really tasty. The salmon zen bowl was really good. My only issue was that the broccoli wasn't cooked all the way through so it was rock hard to chew. My friend ordered the beer battered fish and chips and loved it! Definitely a great spot for a drink or cocktail and some good food."

Very friendly staff takes good care of you at Sheehan's. We had French dip, a Reuben, fries and soup. All were home made and really good. This place really is a "gem" as a few other said. We will be back!

Stopped in with my sister for lunch, and have been dreaming of the sandwich I ate ever since. They have SO MANY options for gluten free diners which probably makes me a little biased towards them. But wow. It's so rare. There we SO MANY things I could eat without issue. I got a club on gf bread with tots and it was delicious. The portion was huge, and I took half the sandwich and tots home for another meal. My sis got the turkey Reuben and was just as impressed, and also had leftovers. We each got a few drinks with out meal. My tab for my food and 3 drinks was ~$25. Absolutely reasonable and a nice surprise with how expensive eating out has gotten. This will definitely become one of my favorite places for whenever I'm close by.

Our first time here at 4:30pm on a Friday and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. The ambiance and food were perfect! We both had fish with fries and coleslaw, walleye for me and my husband had the perch. Our opinion is the best prepared fish in the neighborhood, not grease soaked and not mushy with a generous portion of fries too. I'm not a coleslaw fan but this coleslaw definitely won me over. I forgot to take pics of our dinner darn it! Also,10% off your dinner if you pay in cash so that's a first for us. Parking in back, no outside seating and the place is packed on Friday and Saturday evenings so get there early. We will be back!

If you're coming for good service this might not be your place but if your looking for a pub to get some food and catch a game you've come to the right spot. Generous portions and not a big hit to the wallet. We went for brunch and the menu was very extensive for anyone to find options. Lots of local beers as well.

I'm confused as to why I'm no longer able to call to place a carry out order after I had an issue with a order that you guys agreed to replace. I always have to come in and place a order and wait for it to be made rather than just placing it over the phone and it being ready when I arrived. I tried to call when I was standing inside and it goes straight to voicemail. But then it rings and other people begin placing their orders.

This will always be my favorite Irish pub / tavern in the royal oak area. Great upstairs seating area where they can open the garage style windows. Lots of TVs and great pours for cheap!Decent food menu too. More for friends and family gatherings and celebrations.

Went for trivia night. It was packed and had to park across the street. That was a good sign as this was my first time coming to this establishment since moving back to Waterford. The food that was being served around me looked like big portions for reasonable prices. I only got fried pickles which were only ok to me. Only because I don't like spear pickles, but it still tastes great. The inside reminded me of a typical Irish bar. I liked the vibe and decor and felt chill. My only suggestion was since it was busy it was hard to get drinks at time from the waitress. But once we ordered they were brought out promptly. I think she was the only one waitressing tables and for that it still keeps 5 stars. My only complaint was not bar related as it had to do with the guy doing trivia night. Not sure how he didn't have help to monitor people using their phones to cheat. 3 tables had phones out every time a question was posted. We did let him know about one table. But second round they had phones out again. Maybe the establishment can help enforce that. I will be back for trivia since it was fun.

"The food was delivered via GrubHub. The amount seemed a little bit less than expected but wow, was it delicious. The prices seemed higher but the portions seemed smaller. We ordered the 3 pcs Fish N Chips King Size and the meatloaf dinner.Fish N Chips 4/5, crispy and tasty, but small. Meatloaf dinner 4/5 small portions but great flavors!"
"Talk about going back in time this place is nostalgic. Great place to have fun and watch some football. It offers 7 tvs so that you won't miss any play. No matter where or how you sit you will not miss the big plays here. Try the drink call the Malibu refreshing and tasty good touch of rum. The staff are both serving and bartending , but they on top their game. It's what makes this place the next best thing to actually being at Ford street. The only thing that I did not like are those annoying fans at the end of bar dancing as the game was going on. It's not the bars fault sometimes some fans think they own the place and have no consideration for the rest of us. The bar staff would cut off the music when the game came back on. Perfect ! They know how to roll. That is all. Chief You will find yourself useful when you are in the service to others."
"My local "Cheers" bar. Always welcoming atmosphere and always see a friend. The service is usually pretty good...everyone has a bad night, but it's mostly always good. Their pizza is great! They have a Reuben pizza that's different and tasty. I've had the nachos as a take out and they do not skimp on anything!!!"
"An experience so poor it has brought me out of my yelping hiatus. Big hype for us Northville/Plymouth peeps- the beautiful St. John's course and campus has reopened with an Irish Pub! Had reservations for brunch at 11am on Sunday. Sat on patio, there were 3 other tables sat outside and one inside. Didn't have a server come over until 11:20. At 11:45 we had not received our drinks, the other table who arrived before us was just receiving theirs when we searched for an employee or anyone to explain what the problem was, no one was to be found. Terrible service for a place that should be top notch. Hopefully they get it together. We left at 11:50 and went somewhere else."
"Kristina is the bar tender in Detroit. Would go here everyday if I lived closer. Whiskey is the soup of the day"
"Great service and good food. The Mac n'cheese was delicious and so was the chicken club sandwich. Convenient location and will definitely be back!"
"After a long day throwing big baits for giant muskies out on Lake St. Clair I really look forward to an ice cold beer and the friendly people here.My favorite dish is the perch. I've eaten the perch platter and the pound of perch during each of my few visits. I can not eat enough of the fried perch here. The coleslaw does the perch and fries good. It is creamy and tastes fresh. The perch is always fried perfectly. I can not speak about the perch enough. Everyone here has always been super helpful and nice to me. The beer is ice cold, the food is good and hot and it arrives at the table quickly. Don't let the weird parking lot fool you, this place is really great ."
"It's you typical hole in the wall. And I mean hole. It's got cheap drinks, keno, loud music, loud crowd, crappy bar stools, and a crappy old bar top. The food comes from a tiny run down kitchen where everything is deep fried, maybe even the burgers. The popcorn is so salty it should be against the law, but you'll eat it anyways because it's addictive. The bartenders asks if you want another at appropriate times, so she does her job well enough. Don't use the bathroom unless you absolutely have to, and then, try to hold it a little longer. It's cheap, tall, cold, strong drinks. I'm in."
"Updating a year later and it's still a 5 star!!! THE BURGERS ARE MY FAVORITE THING ON THE MENU! it's currently still one woman running the entire show and she's still doing AMAZING! Prices are amazing and you will get full! With how late they're open for is also a plus because you could literally just come in and grab any seat and enjoy some drank and some food."
"Came here for drinks on St Patrick's Day and had a lot of fun! Plenty of Guinness to go around. Lively ambiance- enjoyed a cover band and got a little dancing in."
"I contacted local adult beverage guru, Allison F. to get her advice on a good Irish pub in the area. She recommended one of her nearby watering holes called Dunleavy's. Now, it's not so much a pub as it is more of a friendly neighborhood bar with some Irish trappings. The folks there are warm and welcoming in any case, so it fit the bill just fine. The afternoon bartender lady was super friendly. She offered me a food menu and it seemed to have a good variety of bar type foods at reasonable prices. I wasn't really hungry so I passed on the eats but I did go for a couple Irish brews. I enjoyed one each, Smithwick's and Guiness. Both were smaller sized pours but they were reasonably priced at $5 each. Two beers, ten dollars? Sounds good to me. If I lived in the area, I'd go there from time to time.5 Stars"
"Arrive little after 6:00 to experience the Monday night special of prime rib. My husband arrived first and I arrived about 10 minutes later. He shared a server that just acknowledged him ,if he wasn't waiting for me he would have left. Clarifying there was only approximately six customers in the entire establishment. The establishment was dark with green lights. Impressive for a bar environment with appetizers but not for dinner menus. I really wanted to try the prime rib so we ordered and after waiting quite a while we received our food. The old adage you pay for what you receive applies to this circumstance. The potato was wonderful the asparagus was good the prime rib was extremely salty. I actually used my phone flashlight to see what was on my plate. The dark green lights created a less than appealing / appetizing plate of food."
"Neighborhood pub, feels like a sports bar. Even though they're operating at 50% occupancy they were full for lunch.I decided to try something simple, like chicken strips with ranch. I was surprised they were scratch made at a bar, you could really tell. Delicious, and a large portion.I didn't like the yelling coming from the kitchen, a little bizarre. At least they're putting out good food."
"My family has been coming here for decades. This was the first time we were back since they rebuilt after their fire. It's good to be back! I took my mom out for Valentine's dinner and it was really fun. They had live music and a pre fix menu. The wine was flowing and the vibe was fun. The lighting was fun too. My mom had the fish and chips and I'm really glad she let me try it because it was delicious. I enjoyed my lobster tacos. It was a special for the night and a nice treat.Delicious bread pudding for dessert. Full bar.Everyone is very nice here. One of the owners came and chatted with us and welcomed us back. Excellent service.Plenty of parking in their lot. And you can drive right up to the front door and drop people off or pick them up. Outdoor patio too.The women's bathroom is a delight! So fun with a bridal mirror so you can step up and see yourself from all angles. It's a good time here."
"Bartender was a great guy. Out here on a work trip and stopped in here to get a couple drinks. Love their 24 choices on draft. Def going to stop there tomorrow after our work stuff."
"Food is tops. Sheppards Pie is great. I Haven't had anything I haven't like. Beer is cold and fresh. Very nice whiskey list. Outside area is nice, service is quick and ambiance is intimate, but a big tv place except bar area."
