"Came here for drinks on St Patrick's Day and had a lot of fun! Plenty of Guinness to go around. Lively ambiance- enjoyed a cover band and got a little dancing in."
"My family has been coming here for decades. This was the first time we were back since they rebuilt after their fire. It's good to be back! I took my mom out for Valentine's dinner and it was really fun. They had live music and a pre fix menu. The wine was flowing and the vibe was fun. The lighting was fun too. My mom had the fish and chips and I'm really glad she let me try it because it was delicious. I enjoyed my lobster tacos. It was a special for the night and a nice treat.Delicious bread pudding for dessert. Full bar.Everyone is very nice here. One of the owners came and chatted with us and welcomed us back. Excellent service.Plenty of parking in their lot. And you can drive right up to the front door and drop people off or pick them up. Outdoor patio too.The women's bathroom is a delight! So fun with a bridal mirror so you can step up and see yourself from all angles. It's a good time here."
"I hate your service Duggans. I know you are understaffed and your people are doing their best. But damn your food is good and it makes up for the lack of wait staff. I know, I tried a little bit of everything here. Your fish and chips are by far my favorite. You literally just battered and fried up three baby cods and put them on top of my fries. DELICIOUS. Cajun steak pasta? Just the perfect amount of butter and grease to satisfy a craving but not enough to upset the stomach. Salads are crunchy fresh and the dressing packs a lot of flavor. I had to hunt down for my server to make an order in which it was still incorrect (salad still had tomatoes for my non-tomato eating spouse) but... if you have the mindset to come here... you already know they are busy and you should order your three Guinness's when you sit down. I'll be coming back. I'll research my menu and decide what I want the moment the server approaches my table. Lesson learned :) Whatever it takes to eat"
"Stopped in mid afternoon on Saturday to have a drink and watch the Masters. Front room was closed. Back room was busy. Service was slow and disappeared for long time. Asked for a cocktail and after some discussion was told cannot make due to not having an ingredient. Lots of draft beer. One person in our group ordered a wine and could not finish it."
"My favorite Irish pub!!!! Their drinks are amazing, food is delicious, ambiance is great and service is wonderful. Full package at this pub! It is always a fun time and a delicious one as well. Check out their events - they post on their social and in the pub. Love the live music. Go to: Michigan salad with chicken cut, double breadsticks (you will crave these 24/77777777. Best. In. The. State!), French onion soup and a signature drink. Whelp. Now i want another breadstick."

Food was good and my husband particularly enjoyed the live music. Nothing more a girl could ask for! Their shepherd's pie comforts my soul

This will always be my favorite Irish pub / tavern in the royal oak area. Great upstairs seating area where they can open the garage style windows. Lots of TVs and great pours for cheap!Decent food menu too. More for friends and family gatherings and celebrations.

My friend and I came here on a Saturday evening in this summer and it was basically the only place in the downtown Birmingham area that had space available and that probably should've been a red flag. We tried at least calling or walking to 10+ places around downtown beforehand too, so it wasn't for lack of trying. When we walked into Dick O' Dows it was nearly empty, and this was prime dinnertime as well on the weekend. There were maybe only 20% of the tables occupied, which was really surprising, given how jam packed every other place was. There wasn't anyone to seat us after we waited about 3 minutes at the front, so we went ahead and found an open booth and seated ourselves. We waited probably around 5 more minutes before a waiter came to our table and gave us menus. The service wasn't bad, just slow, which was extra surprising given how little people were in the restaurant to begin with. Our waitress was actually super friendly and my friend who is gluten free had a lot of questions for her that she was very knowledgeable on or would check with others to get the correct answers, so that was really appreciated.Other than that, everything else was unremarkable. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about certainly, and I left our meal feeling underwhelmed, but just happy that we got to find a place to sit down and catch up. I won't be recommending this spot to anyone anytime soon, but might try it again if I find myself in a similar predicament where I find myself in Birmingham without a reservation on a very busy night.

Great Irish pub. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Try the burgers. They have won a few awards, apparently. (Mine was great). Very casual and relaxing atmosphere, though I havent been here when a Wings or Lions game has been on... I have been back several times and will likely be back several more times.

Went for trivia night. It was packed and had to park across the street. That was a good sign as this was my first time coming to this establishment since moving back to Waterford. The food that was being served around me looked like big portions for reasonable prices. I only got fried pickles which were only ok to me. Only because I don't like spear pickles, but it still tastes great. The inside reminded me of a typical Irish bar. I liked the vibe and decor and felt chill. My only suggestion was since it was busy it was hard to get drinks at time from the waitress. But once we ordered they were brought out promptly. I think she was the only one waitressing tables and for that it still keeps 5 stars. My only complaint was not bar related as it had to do with the guy doing trivia night. Not sure how he didn't have help to monitor people using their phones to cheat. 3 tables had phones out every time a question was posted. We did let him know about one table. But second round they had phones out again. Maybe the establishment can help enforce that. I will be back for trivia since it was fun.

This place is "IT" for brunch!Of the handful of times we've been here either buy ourselves or with a group, brunch has been our stop 100% of the time. Can't go wrong with a good boxty and bottomless mimosas! Depending on the time, I've gotten a club sandwich/chicken sandwich a time or two as well, but their breakfast items are a huge hit!Maybe one day we'll be back for dinner/drinks, but the morning time on the weekends is definitely a lot of fun and will fill you up!

Very friendly staff takes good care of you at Sheehan's. We had French dip, a Reuben, fries and soup. All were home made and really good. This place really is a "gem" as a few other said. We will be back!

"I've lived 10 minutes from Irish Tavern for almost four years now and finally got around to trying it!I was craving wings and wanted to try a new place. I called and placed a carryout for two orders of wings; Buffalo and Butter Parmesan. Both were being packaged up when I walked in to get my Carryout. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly with plenty of meat on the wings. My favorite of the two was the Butter Parmesan! I had leftovers for the next day too! Very good!"
"The food was delivered via GrubHub. The amount seemed a little bit less than expected but wow, was it delicious. The prices seemed higher but the portions seemed smaller. We ordered the 3 pcs Fish N Chips King Size and the meatloaf dinner.Fish N Chips 4/5, crispy and tasty, but small. Meatloaf dinner 4/5 small portions but great flavors!"
"This week new item on the special. Mushroom Garlic Parmigiana Burger with onion straws. Yum. I love there burgers."
"Great service and good food. The Mac n'cheese was delicious and so was the chicken club sandwich. Convenient location and will definitely be back!"
"An experience so poor it has brought me out of my yelping hiatus. Big hype for us Northville/Plymouth peeps- the beautiful St. John's course and campus has reopened with an Irish Pub! Had reservations for brunch at 11am on Sunday. Sat on patio, there were 3 other tables sat outside and one inside. Didn't have a server come over until 11:20. At 11:45 we had not received our drinks, the other table who arrived before us was just receiving theirs when we searched for an employee or anyone to explain what the problem was, no one was to be found. Terrible service for a place that should be top notch. Hopefully they get it together. We left at 11:50 and went somewhere else."
"Neighborhood pub, feels like a sports bar. Even though they're operating at 50% occupancy they were full for lunch.I decided to try something simple, like chicken strips with ranch. I was surprised they were scratch made at a bar, you could really tell. Delicious, and a large portion.I didn't like the yelling coming from the kitchen, a little bizarre. At least they're putting out good food."
