"This is the spot of Indian street food. All of my friends spoke highly of this place and no wonder why. Everything was delicious and would love to go back again."
"I love the food here especially the Tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas and Tadka Dal! If you like spice then don't be afraid to get it hot! Service is just fantastic; I believe it might be a family owned restaurant. The ambiance is relaxing and I enjoy watching the videos on the televisions. I've been here twice in a week and a half! I highly suggest this place if you want authentic Indian cuisine."

"Chicken Curry was phenomenal! I can feel it in my soul and body, flavored perfectly!! Nan bread sooo garlicky delicious ! Take out service was easy and ready quick. Clean restaurant, friendly staff. On my ride home from work, for sure will be returning."
"Them wings hit! The wet jerk wings were appropriately surprising coming from Royal Oak. The wings are whole and well cooked and seasoned. The spice of the jerk was akin to homemade. I enjoyed the chocolate cake too. This place was a pleasant surprise."
"Dream come true! I have been dreaming about this dosa for the longest. I finally got to order theMasala Dosa as an appetizer. Huge crepe that is great for sharing. I ordered the lamb biryani and unfortunately I didn't get to take a pic. It was so delicious and sorry that I didn't get to take a pic of it. Great service. Our water was very attentive to our needs. The restaurant was nice and clean and had authentic Indian decor. I highly recommend this place for those who want Indian food!!!"
"I was around the corner from Curry On running some errands and decided to place an order for carryout for dinner. Ordering on their website was super easy and straightforward. I was given a pick up time of about 25 minutes from the time I ordered so I used the time to hang out in my car in the parking lot and catch up on a podcast. When my time came I popped in and my order was waiting for me on the table. Easy in and easy out. The food was packaged perfectly and when I got home everything was still piping hot. I got the butter chicken, my husband had the chicken rice biryani. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. I did, however, wish my butter chicken had a bit more chicken with it. It had a ton of sauce and a generous amount of rice but I would have liked more protein. It would be great if they offered an upgrade of extra meat or one size up. I love to have leftovers when I order out. We also got paratha, naan and raita, and my husband got a samosa and it was all delicious. They seem to have really great lunch specials (like Kati roll combos) that I'm excited to try next time!"
"Time to update my review of one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Today, i tried the Vegetable Pakoras, which was a nice little appetizer. Super crispy on the outside, with a slightly spicy and flavorful filling. I really liked them, but my husband didn't . I got their Lamb Hyderabadi and it was so good. The sauce is so complex and creamy. Paired with their excellent basmati rice, it made for a memorable dinner. Pakwaan's Garlic Naan is so good that we got two orders. It is soft, with crisp edges, and so flavorful. I also ordered a mango lassi. The drink is the perfect accompaniment to a spicy dinner. Love this place."
"Food is phenomenal. We had a spread of plain Dosa - (huge and snappy!) and three vegetarian entrees mildly spiced. The Aloo Gobi hit the spot, and the yellow lentils and spinach entrees were tasty too. Yummy naan. rice was cooked to perfection.I had some of their black tea with milk which was good. Wish they offered uncaffeinated homemade chai. service was ok, but here the food was so great ill be dreaming about it.Love the decor. Some would say it need an update but i just love it how it is."
"Always busy- a good sign in my opinion.Staff is helpful, quick, and efficient. Great with offering suggestions and listening to what you like and you don't like. It's definitely a family setting, lots of long tables and trays for meals. Though, it also makes grabbing a spot to sit difficult if you're not with your family. I have had a number of items here but my personal favorites have been chana marsala and the cut mirchi."
"Non veg thali -$12. Butter chicken curry chicken and matter panner. This was my first time here and I am so satisfied. This has to be one of my favorite meals I've ever had- the curry chicken and butter chicken are dream worthy. The portions were perfect. I finished it all. They give you rice, naan, fresh veggies, yogurt and a dessert ( I forget the name - it's like a cheese ball in honey but donut consistency.) I cannot wait until I come back to try the Biryani. The service was quick there was, only three of us in here. The place was clean. Side note - I cannot handle any spice like mild + is too hot for me usually however this food was full of flavor and barely spicy- thank goodness"
"Don't let the fact that this place is in a strip mall fool you. It was all absolutely delicious, and the staff was so friendly! We got samosas and they were a little spicy for my mom, but if you have an aversion to spice, just let the staff know and they'll steer you in the right direction. Some other patrons let us know they they just started a happy hour, Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 7, $5 for tea and an appetizer. I fully plan on returning."

Neehee's had a mix of hits and misses. The samosa chaat was flavorful, with a good balance of textures from the crispy samosa, yogurt, chutneys, and sev, though it leaned a bit too sweet. The vegetable lo mein had a nice spice level and plenty of fresh vegetables, but it was slightly greasy. Portions were okay, and the food was fresh enough, but the flavors could have been better balanced. A decent option for Indian street food and Indo-Chinese, but not the best I've had.

Great food, great service and decent portion sizes.Still getting used to Indian food, only had it for the first time earlier this year in Singapore. So I may not be the best judge on what's "good Indian food". All I know is this was good FOOD. The other 2-3 Indian places I've been to have really cheated you on the meat you get in curry and Masala. This place gives you a lot of chicken and enough rice to compliment the dish. I got the medium masala, my mom got some shrimp based dish(mild). We both loved our food, tasted fresh and full of flavour. Complimented the mains with a side of garlic naan. The naan was a little burnt and I think had a little too much garlic butter, but still good.Only downside in my opinion is that like most Indian places, there's not going to be any to take home. You definitely will eat everything there. The prices are fair for today's economy and overall a pleasant dining experience. The server made sure to constantly check on us and keep water tapped up. I'm pleased with this experience

We were early for a concert at Royal Oak Music Theater and hungry. We wandered around a bit and stumbled upon Detroit Eatery, which has a walk up window and a decent menu. We both ordered the chicken pita, which was the delicious hand held we both needed. Service was fairly quick for a freshly made pita, and we walked away happy, ready for our concert.

I went here on a Friday evening with friends, after regularly ordering doordash from them. We were seated right away but it took a while for us to get water and someone to take our order. The food came rather quickly and was super delicious. I like spicier dishes and my girlfriend likes more mild dishes and they easily accommodated both of our desired flavors. It was a nice, relaxing meal but it did take a while to get the check as well. Overall I'd come again but maybe not on a busy Friday evening.

I found this place when I was looking for lunch options at work. The first time I had the Kati rolls (butter chicken & tikka chicken), I became instantly hooked! I told my coworkers about it and we got it the next day. They loved it! The sauce and spices used were perfectly mouthwatering. I didn't think it was too spicy. The wrap is paratha, a buttery, flakey flatbread which goes so well with the tender chicken which was perfectly marinated. From 1-4pm, it is happy hour, the rolls are 50% off. I'm obsessed!

First time at an authentic Indian restaurant. The mangoes lassi drinks were amazing. The vegetable samosas were just OK and I didn't care for the sauces. The garlic naan flatbread was seasoned just the right amount and plentiful enough so that we got to take some home. My table mates ordered the chicken tikka masala and lamb hyderabadi and said it was good. I also had the lamb hyderabadi and enjoyed it along with the sauces.

I went here with my team at work for our Friday lunch outing. The staff at Royal Indian Cuisine did a great job serving our larger party of 8 people. They were very kind to us, and brought us a delicious appetizer for the table to split, as well as a taste of Kulfi for us to share. The decor helped contribute to the authentic Indian food experience. I would highly recommend Royal Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for delicious Indian food.

"I'd never had Indian food and up until one of the most recent Ms. marvel episodes, I really didn't have the persuasion to do so. It's funny how media can influence us like this. Anyway, we decided to give this lovely establishment a try and were blown away by the quality. Despite being in Birmingham, the prices are very fair and the ingredients are top notch. It's always nice to be able to see the chef cooking behind the counter and know that what you're getting isn't some frozen dish but an actual homemade meal. Will definitely be coming back again."
"What are friendly greeting we got when we walked in. Three of the staff members were openly friendly and happy to see us. It made us feel very comfortable and like we had been a regular that restaurant forever. The place is clean and fresh, the staff is very attentive on keeping the tables clean and set, it was a very nice ambience. Great vibe! The food was outstanding and there was plenty of it. We asked for some suggestion and they did not disappoint. I recommend that anyone going for Indian food for the first time, please stop here."
"I'd give Masala a strong 3 star after giving it a second try. This time I ordered at the store for take out. They were very quick and the previous issues I mentioned seem to be resolved (mild is now a comfortable low heat and the naan was not burned like last time!). This time I ordered the chicken tikka masala and butter naan. Again no utensils included but packaging was wrapped well to prevent leakage. Service was very quick, I just wish the staff would be more friendly. I had to wait at the counter to order for a few minutes and when the employee finally came over, she just started at me with no greeting. If employee friendliness would have existed, this place would have 4 stars from me. The prices are expensive for this style of fast food also preventing it from being my go-to Indian restaurant."
"We got the lamb curry, chicken vindaloo, a fried cauliflower fish, panerr and 2 types of Naan. Everything was spicey and flavorful. The rice was delicious and complimented the saucey dishes nicely. The Naan was good but nothing over the top amazing."
"Omg I'm mad I don't have a photo!!!! We ordered the pizza HONEY AMAZING!!!!! $22 ish It was so good. That My boo is allergic to onion and I noticed that they forgot to remove and his butt still ate it ! Refused to spit it out ! Because it was that good."
"I was delighted to find this place when I happened to be in Grosse Pointe Woods. The vegetable wrap was a fragrant marvel of blooming spice in naan bread. My raita had a little more kick than what I used to but still retained much of the typical yogurt-cucumber taste. My only complaint is the dining in experience. There were a couple of tables in the place so I ate there. I had to press to get plastic ware and a tiny napkin. I would have liked to have been offered water, since it was pretty obvious I was staying there. Still, these are minor quibbles given that the great majority come here for takeout."
"This a great new restaurant in Berkley. I ordered the butter chicken, and received a generous portion at a good price. The place is big and clean inside and my server was friendly. The Bollywood music videos on the TV were entertaining. Nawab could handle a large group.I will definitely go back!"
"Let me start off by saying this by far is my favourite restaurant in Hamtramck. Hands down. They offer a lunch special that includes a buffet that you can pick from an I'm talking butter chicken, jasmine Rice, Nann.... they have everything. And the people work here are amazingly friendly kind compassionate truly care about the food they have to offer to the community. And did I mention the sweets... TO DIE FOR AND 100% AUTHENTIC!!!This restaurant is my first choice. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Fresh and many types of food and a large list of dishes.well managed team, and great vibes. And the bill won't break the bank. I love it"
"Disclaimer: I am South Asian and my mom makes amazing South Asian dishes so I do critique these types of restaurants a bit more harshly. And even with that, Royal Bengal Indian Cuisine earns a 4-star review! I have not tried their banquet so cannot comment on that, but the food is great. Great flavors all around. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. My reason for taking away a star: prices are on the expensive side (especially if you compare to the vast number of Bangladeshi/Indian restaurants in Hamtramck), however, a tip, check for their Groupon if still available. Have been here twice already, and will be back soon!"
"What a fantastic addition to a growing list of excellent Allen Park restaurants! The menu is packed with delicious options for any pallet. Delicious meat dishes, flavor loaded vegetarian items, even kid friendly classics. My husband and I have tried nearly everything, both through carry out and dining in.These are our favorites so far:Lamb RoganLamb KormaButter ChickenChicken Manchurian (spicy and good)Saag PaneerTarka DalHelpful hints: Dal = lentilsGobi = cauliflower Aloo = potatoPaneer = cubed cheese with a texture like tofuDining in gives you the option to choose your spice level. Personally, medium is just right, but mild is for beginners and almost all carryout orders are made mild. There are no tap water or free refills on soda.Water is available bottled. They are always short on ice if you like your beverage really cold, you're out of luck...I want them to get an ice machine soooo bad.The service is always with a smile and we just love this place so much and are so glad they are so conveniently located.Try them out!If you're not sure what to order, they will help you out with a wonderful recommendation."
"This is my first time having Indian food. Not sure how I made it till my age without having tried it. But I will be back.I went with some friends and let them order so I'm not exactly sure what each dish is. But we all shared the variety and every single thing was very tasty. It was also remarkably affordable. The garlic naan was amazing. The vegetarian dishes excellent, the chicken dish was very good and I really love the shrimp dish. The appetizers also were super tasty."
"Twas the first Friday after ash wednesday. My husband happens to be following the whole lent, no meat Friday thing. So I too have to follow suit with him. Therefore brings me to why we came here. Because if I was to do non-meat dishes and turn into a vegetarian. I would go hard on Indian dishes.Yes this is a Pakistani establishment, but I still had a good time eating. Some of the dishes are sort of lazily done,, I can tell they bought some bagged mixed veggies and sauced it up.Did we eat good? Yes we did.Was the service good? It was a buffet, our dirty dishes were picked up. The glasses of water was refilled and the buffet items were refreshed as well.It was alright. I would eat here again, but probably wouldn't be my first choice.Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!"
"We arrived at 11:45 (15 mins into open) on a Monday and the dining room was completely empty. I'm thinking most people aren't up for the spice so early in the day, but the bf and I were ready! The space is clean and the tables were neatly set with large water goblets. You're greeted by a friendly server who was very helpful in explaining the different sauces. The menu is vast, including an Indo-Chinese section and several vegetarian options. We started with mango lasses and soups - mulligatawny for me and corn vegetable for him. I preferred his soup. He ordered naan and the friendly server brought both butter and garlic/cheese, only charging for one, so he could try the cheese variety. They looked good, but I didn't want any. The mixed grill is a lot of meat and a good deal. The goat was very tasty, medium spice (and I like spicy) was just right. My gripe with the goat is that the serving of actual meat was very small. This gave me an excuse to nosh off of the grill plate, which was good. These are hard-working restauranteurs who are eager to serve up some good Indian fare. This space has always been difficult to attract foot traffic. They're worth it. Walk through their door and smell the tandoor(i)!"
"Red chillies is a newer Indian Restaurant in the area. We decided to stop by for dinner here. The ambience is casual, service warm and food exceptional. We had chicken dum biryani, chicken kerala and chappati. We requested fresh cut onion and green chillies. They were provided very promptly. We also had mango lassi which was just the right amount of sweet. Chicken dum biryani stole the show. It is prepared every Friday evening fresh. This is their weekend specialty. It is an authentic flavorful preparation where meat, rice, nuts, pineapple and boiled egg are cooked simultaneously. The time for preparation is much longer than for usual biryani served at most other Indian restaurants. I have not tasted better dum biryani thusfar. You can immediately taste the authenticity.Definitely coming back. Must try!"
"Excellent and attentive service, I love the decor and ambiance, the food is delicious, and the drinks are tasty. The vibes are really good here. Spacious interior. I love how colorful and fun the space is!My lentil dish was so good! My friend's chicken dish was sizzling on a skillet and so tender. The garlic naan was lovely.I enjoyed my refreshing mango lassi."
"We have been driving past this restaurant for years. Silly us... we waited all of these years. We ordered Uber Eats. Our dinner arrived hot, it was absolutely delicious! The daal soup, I may dare say, was the tastiest I've had. Samosas, curry veggies, tikka masala shrimp, chili chicken. The menu is extensive. I'm looking forward to eating my way through it!"
"Mahfuz is amazing.. First time here.. loved loved loved.. had all the favorites, and they did not disappoint!! Highly recommend!!"
"Honestly, this place is amazing. The food is great. I love coming here got great Bengali/Indian food. I would definitely recommend. Also, try their biryani it's delicious and the service is also impeccable! I"
"I happened upon this place while looking for another restaurant. I decided to leave but the guys were so welcoming and helped me with deciding on something. I chose the Dosa and will come back at another time to try one of the chicken dishes. The Dosa is exactly what I recall having at other restaurants and it's really tasty."
"It seems MANY people have issues with this restaurant and their service. I'll admit when I visited we waited for a while (the sign says wait to be seated) but when no one came we just sorta walked around the corner. We eventually saw someone who worked here and they said sit anywhere. Everything did go up from there. Their menus are digital so you just scan the barcode on your phone and look at their menu online. We ordered Veg Manchurian, which are deep fried vegetable balls sautéed with manchurian sauce. They were tasty! For an entree I knew I wanted something with curry so I ordered the Paneer Masala which came with white rice. It was very tasty as well! Aside from the seating situation I think overall the service was pretty good and since I love Indian cuisine Ill definitely come back."
"I enjoyed most of my meal at Bheema's. It serves authentic Indian food with friendly service and a comfortable dining area with Bollywood films on television. I loved the Egg Bonda appetizer, the Cheese Naan, and the Lamb Korma. All flavorful and authentic. I did not like the Egg Fried Rice and threw most of the leftover rice away. It was trying to be a fusion with Chinese cuisine, and it didn't work well. It was lacking in flavor and a bit soggy. I recommend sticking to the curries and ordering a biryani if you want rice. Remember to bring cash. You will save 8% if you pay with cash instead of a credit card."
"Driving past the place you wouldn't think much of the place especially since the lot appears pretty scarce. To the naked eye probably make you second guess the place and you would just keep driving on... DO NOT DRIVE AWAY!!! Compared to most Indian Cuisine restaurants in Michigan this one is one of my favorites. Starting off with some nice warm and crispy samaosas is always a solid move. Fried to perfection, not greasy in any way and the vegetables inside are warm and delicious. Dip it with the green sauce for a little zing and your already off to a great start to a good evening! To my Spicy food lovers anything Vindaloo is the dish for you and the Lamb Vindaloo will change your life. Definitely makes the aftermath worth it if you're picking up what I'm throwing down. The spices are just right, the meat is tender and juicy, and the rice along side with it, you couldn't ask for a better meal. Of course whats Indian food without some delicious garlic naan on the side. Make sure to do yourself a solid and grab yourself and order or two. With the amount of food you get remember sharing is caring! If you are looking for a new place to try or are just wondering about restaurants in the area go to Taj! Quiet, friendly staff, Perfect spot for a date night or an evening with the family. Prime example of never judge a book by its cover! Hope you eat and enjoy the food as much as I did! Nice quiet place to sit back and enjoy a nice meal."
"We visited for a late lunch this week. They are not opened traditional lunch hours, so had to take a later lunch. This was worth it 100%.The flavor was amazing, many dishes are naturally gluten free, the service was great (and very friendly), and the food was quite obviously fresh. I also liked that the meals were served at a hot tempertature (which I really liked), and they present each table with a hot plate to keep the dishes hot. Silverware was changed between courses, which I give them huge points. It's a little thing, I know, but this means a lot to us.I am celiac, so gluten free is imperative to me. The owner was present, and very knowledgeable on the menu and my available selections. I will say, the server was not as knowledgeable, but that was OK since the owner was very knowledgeable. I was also told that they are planning on getting in the bread made from gluten free grains (I can not recall the name at this time), so that will be another bonus. While we are generally not vegetarians, we ate a vegetarian meal on this visit. Honestly, you did not miss the meat. The flavours were out of this world. I mean they present a beautiful meal. Now, that being said, we are excited for our next visit to try the meat dishes which include goat and lamb (both of which we thoroughly enjoy).FInally, versus their competitors, the food quality, presentation, and taste is outstanding. And, the prices are highly competitive. SO glad we no longer need to drive out to Troy for excellent Indian dishes. As a matter of fact, I think those in Troy wil be coming out to the east side to visit Pink Garlic!"
