"Went with my hubby to a Yelp event which said he had one guest with him. When we got there I wasn't on the list, my husband showed the girl what Yelp said, but she said no and so I was given some options, but I was too far down the counter where my hubby had to check in and couldn't really read the options well (hand written on chalk board).I ended up getting just one scoop of vanilla with waffle cone broken over it (due to the list she told me since not being able to get to menu from someone blocking) and I just chose waffle cone due to the options she quoted off to me. To be honest our server really didn't impress me because she didnt see me officially on the list although my hubby showed her the Yelp... she just seemed a bit annoyed. It seemed I got a bit of an attitude. Hubby had to pay for mine, while He got his.Would I try again? Eh.... I'm sure they have good items, but when you treat me kind of eh, my attitude becomes the same."

"This is a FANTASTIC restaurant for breakfast and/or lunch. A hidden gem in downtown Northville that was recommended. Do not pass this by.The menu is huge with so much to choose from and the breakfast items we had were EXCELLENT and large helpings. We all had a variety of eggs with sides of sausage and hash browns and very reasonable pricing.Service was great. They were very friendly and efficient. We never had to ask for coffee. The vibe is eclectic. A wide variety of unique wall hangings and even a fish tank AND an electric train that ran around from the ceiling. Very cool. All in all, "THE" place to go in Northville."
"Food was really tasty! Fire fries for spicy people only, I would say. Ambience was nice. Very busy but great service."
"This establishment was such an unexpected treat. I was very pleased to see there was a variety of choices and they also had plenty of vegan options to choose from. I ordered the Tiger's Blood which was a watermelon flavored drink which looked bright red and I thought it would be super sweet, but surprisingly it was pleasantly light, refreshing and surprisingly flavorful. It was a delightful treat. The texture was not like a typical snow cone, it was much more better than that. It retained its shape and did not melt quick.I also ordered some gourmet popcorn which was better than I thought they would be, very tasty and enjoyed them immensely. The service was awesome and the people were friendly and they are a non profit that uses proceeds to help the community in need.I can't wait to return here and try what more they have to offer and the cost per cup is very reasonable as low as $4.50 a cup and is worth it for all that goodness."
"Really good ice cream shop located on the north side of 12 mile Rd between Middlebelt and Orchard Lake. This shop is tucked away in a small corner of a strip mall and is easy to miss where you definately need to be purposely looking for it as it will not jump out at you if passing by.Relative to their Ice cream they carry an assortment of Premium Guernsey Ice cream which I am a huge fan of where few ice cream joints in Metro Detroit carry this brand. That in itself makes this ice cream centric business stand out from their competition and worthy of a trip here in and of by itself. Prices for the ice cream are fair and in line with other hand scooped premium ice cream parlors. Besides the ice cream, this business carries there own house label of coffee that is locally roasted and unique to this business which is quite good and flavorful in its own right. Other products served here include a full lineup of coffee drinks, assorted pastries, breakfast/lunch sandwiches, soup and an assortment of fresh salads. Relative to service, the husband and wife owners were tending the counter while we were there where they were super friendly and very accommodating as they let us sample multiple flavors of ice cream before we settled on the final flavor. Relative to the business itself, it is bright and clean inside with two outside dining areas. The outside dining areas have quite a few tables available where the rear outside dining area is covered which is definately something to keep in mind during rainy days.Overall we were quite pleased with all aspects of this business and definately would recommend this place for all the stated reasons especially if you are aware of Guernsey products and are as big a fan as I am of this Michigan premium brand. Definately looking forward to my next visit here where I will be sampling their Guernsey based milk shakes next!"
"Best place for frozen custard. They also love their pups and offer pup cups! Everyone is always super friendly."
"My friend and I went here on a Sunday. It was a little busy, but the service was good. The menu is simple, but has a lot of variety of options. I got the s'mores rolled ice cream, and she got a matcha version with mochi and pocki. Each was $7.50, which seems a fair price for the size of the ice cream. The shop was clean and had plenty of seating, despite being busy. Overall, would go again."
"We ordered Lunch through Door Dash today. I ordered the Philly Supreme Cheesesteak Potato. Funny it didn't look like a Philly Cheesesteak on a potato, with all that broccoli. It more like mixed vegetables with cheddar cheese . Don't let me start on the firm chunks of beef some with fat attached. I was looking for tender thin slices of meat , that wasn't there either. Yeah, I was underwhelmed by this lackluster meal. It was also on the dry side. For a potato this size you'll need to use quite a bit of butter to help keep it moist. I think the quality has went down and the price has risen with this place. I really didn't want Potato Place because the last time I had it, I didn't enjoy it . Sometimes you must take one for the the team. They can definitely do better in the future with the quality, taste and presentation of their food especially if they going to charge you an arm. Oh yeah you're going to pay extra for butter, sour cream ect.. especially if it don't come on it. Im not saying don't give it a try, I just would prefer better quality even if its as simple as topping on a potato."
"Yum! My family and I ordered this through DoorDash and I must say it was truly delicious. We each tried one of their specials and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The browned marshmallows they put on top of some of their sundaes tasted like a real campfire-roasted marshmallow. So good! I look forward to going back and trying some other flavors."
"I really like this bakery and whenever I visit the Kroger nearby and drop in and pick up something sweet! The staff here are very helpful and will answer any questions you have regarding taste or allergy to the best of their knowledge. I mainly come here for their carrot cake but always end up leaving with a few more slices of something! Especially their fruit flan and lemon bars. In addition they have wedding cakes, cookies and other types of pastries to choose from. The next time I come back I promised myself to grab a few cheesecakes I've had my eye on!"
"A gem tucked away in strip mall in Sterling Heights. Street Sweets is a great place to come if you just gotta have that sugar fix. I always get the Triple Sweet Iced Latte. Of course I never remember the name and just end up asking for the Iced Carmel Latte with three donuts, and by then the staff usually know what I'm talking about. I tend to pick the same latte but I try to mix it up each time with the donuts. This time I picked the Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, and Strawberry Sprinkle. They're are tons of choices to choose from. They all tasted amazing but I feel like the strawberry sprinkle was my fave. Overall tasty and a sugar RUSH. In addition to the Iced Lattes and donuts, they have cake, waffle pops, vegan cookies + more. If you're ever in the area you have got to stop by. I'll definitely be back to try the Waffle Pops!"

Another good spot in Ferndale for anyone with a sweet tooth. Grab ice cream or whatever you need to fulfill that craving. I get the Kooky Monster Sunday when I'm craving.

I love Ray's nostalgic ice cream polar and soda fountain vibe. Immediately when you step inside the doors you are taken back to the 1950's. You simply can't find that atmosphere anywhere else in the area which makes Ray's unique and fun! I've been coming here since i was a little kid and recently came for a Yelp Elite event. It was the perfect sweet treat on a hot summer day! I learned from a friend that they've been in business since 1958! There are over 40 flavors of ice cream including my dairy free sorbets and 2 different vegan ice creams. My favorites are Chocolate peanut butter and Fat Elvis. Their hand scooped ice cream is made on site and is so creamy and delicious! Portions are very generous and a small size is 2 scoops. Pints and quarts can be purchased at Rays or in specialty stores like Nino's Salvaggio or Papa Joe's. It gets very crowded and lines are almost always out the door at peak times but it's well worth the wait. It's no surprise that Ray's was voted best local ice cream parlor by Hour Detroit in 2022. I defiantly will be back this summer to try more of their seasonal flavors like Macinaw Island Fudge.

Great breakfast place! It's authentic and an old school eatery that is not commercialized. The breakfast is great and it has a nice selection of omelettes to pick from. The prices have been reduced about 25% since the start of Covid which is understandable. Before the increase, the pricing was definitely below market even though the quality was quite high. You basically seat yourself and it's first come, first served. The service is great and the waitresses are very responsive.

Came by here in the summer for a bite with my family and what a pleasure it was! We had my mom's dog with us and they kindly let us sit with her on their (covered) patio. The patio, directly out front, stretches out into the street which they close to car traffic during the summer months. I was feeling traditional that night and went for a cheeseburger, fries, and a shake. But the beauty is that even the traditional is a bit interesting here. The shake? Boozy. I got the Drunken Muppet (which was their blue "Kookie for Cookies" ice cream mixed with chocolate vodka, dark chocolate liqueur, and cookie pieces topped with whipped cream) for eats I got the bacon brie burger (which was topped with fried brie curds, thick cut bacon, arugula, and jam) and upgraded the standard fries to a side of their truffle fries. Delicious! My family also ordered the soft pretzel starter to split and it was also quite good. Came with three dips though the group favorite was the IPA beer cheese. Not up for a whole meal? You can also just pop in to their ice cream counter to get a scoop or a cup or pints to go. I did the latter and grabbed two pints on our way out to take home with me that night so my husband and I got to enjoy the delicious flavors like Midnight Cherry Fudge and Brookie Dough for the next few nights! A very pleasant experience all around and I look forward to coming back again soon!

"Detroit is usually late with any major food trends and it's no different with bubble tea. Though the Asian communities in Madison Heights/Warren/Sterling Heights are blessed with plentiful bubble tea options (Ding Tea, Kung Fu, OneZo, Kuma, Quickly, Bambu, etc), there is a clear void in Downtown Detroit. I was hoping Tou and Mai would've been the one to take the reigns and become king of bubble tea in Downtown Detroit. Truth be told, my T&M experiences have left me controlling my bubble tea cravings for when I'm back in Madison Heights. Don't get me wrong, T&M provides all the bubble tea menu mainstays, toppings, and even specialized Asian desserts like the Filipino "Halo-Halo" named "Hello, Hello". They even have a small bodega-like shop inside, showcasing unique Asian candies and snacks as well as staple items, and boutique goods from local purveyors. But each and every one of my 3 visits have left me saying "meh". I've gotten the mango real fruit smoothie with boba and lychee jelly twice and each time I've regret-sipped all the way home while I begrudgingly drove by Bambu and Kung Fu as they mocked me and said, "told ya so".Maybe one day, a truly impeccable bubble tea place will finally settle into Downtown Detroit and dominate the market and get the whole damn city addicted to bubble tea. It just isn't now. Not yet."
"Haven't tried my food yet.But the young woman taking my order was delightful. Two cooks working and I've been waiting for about 10'minutes. Place is empty, they just got a rush.I ordered a single classic and county classic. I'm excited to try both. The place hasn't been picked up so there's trash on the tables. The staff is having fun but I'm hungry. The inside is pretty futuristic lots of neonand metal. Idk if I would have a date here. More so like take it to go or with some friends. For both of my items is was almost 25 dollars. So I hope the food is good. You can get beer here. Bells, miller, and IPA and something else. Maybe a wine? Also a boozy slushy. They offer ice cream too. The menus looks to be a step up from fast food. Got home everything was gone under 20 minutes.Vegetables were very fresh, bun was a wee bit soggy other than that a good burger! The chicken was yummy. I recommend.Overall 4.1 too pricy for what it was but the food was good. But this was nothing more than 18 dollars not 25."
"I was looking forward to this Yelp Experience and it did not disappoint! You have to enter through the back, but the entrance only allows for one vehicle at a time so I sat on Outer Drive for a minute or two waiting for the other vehicle to pull out. However, once parked and inside, it was a great experience. They have so many options when it comes to types of desserts that I was unsure of what to get. After speaking with the ladies, they mentioned the Wowffle which was a great choice. It was honestly the best ice cream dessert that I've had in a while. I sat in the parking lot and indulged. I bragged about the experience to a few people before making it home. Definitely going back!"
"Really great food made to order. Reasonable prices, great wraps, chicken fingers, and waffle fries. They also have good smoothies too. Frozen Yogurt was not available because it was still winter so excited to come back when it is available."
"Great ice cream spot that has some delicious flavors! I always need a cone when I have ice cream and the cones are made fresh which you can taste. The sea salt butter cake and black sesame flavors are definitely the favorite but we also enjoyed the flavors we got as well (maize and blue, raspberry stracciatella, and butter pecan). You can't go wrong with any of the flavors and they have small pints to take to go if you want. It's a cute little spot with nice decorations to take a picture with your ice cream."
"I've been back a few times since my first visit last year and it keeps getting better. I'm not sure if I noticed it the first time but I do love their walk up ordering window (perfect for when you're sitting outside enjoying a beautiful fall day and don't want to give up your seat by going inside to get another beverage) and they've zhuzhed up their indoor menu with TV screens, which is fun. What to do when you're feeling the fall seasonal flavors but it's also 70 degrees outside in October? Ask for a seasonal syrup on your cold brew, of course! I opted for that and enjoyed a delicious pumpkin spice cold brew. FYI the spice is very clove forward. I happen to love cloves but just a heads up if it's not your bag. Great selection of Brown Dog creamery ice cream and donuts from the Looney Baker!"
"It's kind of expensive but delicious food. The bubble tea was phenomenal. The location makes it convenient for me."
"Another overdue and late, but finally a review here for Rita's.It was a hot day plus still a hot evening at 7pm on July 13 after shopping across the street at Lowe's. Why not cool off here for my 1st time so we decided to stop. Thanks to Yelp friend, Aleana W. For making many check-ins here and posting so many "Cool" photos to help others decide to stop in here and enjoy some Ice or custard! My husband had a regular vanilla custard cone.I had a custard with a s'mores gelato which was delicious and a smooth blended duo.Our 2 purchases totaled $9.00 with Nicole. Thanks to "HANNAH" for her welcome personality when walking in the door. Then she was happy to explain the whole story to us about Rita's Italian Ice, custard and offering me 3 samples to try to help with my cool important, refreshing decision. Soooo many Italian Ice Flavors, Cream Ice Flavors, along with Custard. They also have a free "Sugar-Free" flavors. Rita's can handle your "Cool Catering" birthday or Barbeque parties as well, but encourage you to place your order at least 7 days in advance. What a fun, cool time of ice happiness to enjoy at this popular neighborhood business."
"Probably the best burger I've had in a long time. I was the only person there and walked up to order at the window. Waited about 6-7 min in my car after ordering for the burger to be ready (which was nbd). Did not disappoint! Would go out of my way to go there again."
"We came here because there are several chocoholics in our party and they wanted some high quality chocolate. I also intended to get some chocolate but got sidetracked by the ice cream, which I'm told is one of the best in the area and made by a local supplier. For ice cream I got 1/2 Michigan Pot Hole and 1/2 Mocha Chip. Mmmmmmm, if you like good quality chocolate, it was delicious! Michigan Pot Hole flavor is a rich dark chocolatey fudge ice cream with big chunks of dark chocolate in it. It was named such because Michigan roads are known for all their potholes. LOL!"
"While we no longer live in the Detroit area we still enjoy visiting Dairy-Go-Round when we visit. A traditional ice cream stand they still have the colorful stationary Merry-Go-Round horses for kids to enjoy. A great place for families to visit and enjoy delicious ice cream treats. Adequate parking, wide menu, and fast service. The specialty is the Creamsicle twist cone, a vanilla/orange mix. They have changed to a sorbet from the original sherbet. The sorbet has brighter orange flavor but the texture of the sherbet was a better match."
"Cute little ice cream shop with delicious flavors and a cozy vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great. The staff is friendly, and it feels like a hidden gem in the area. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a good spot to grab some ice cream."
"A St. Clair Shores staple that's been around for decades. They now carry alternatives to ice cream, like frozen yogurt and dairy free ice cream! The dairy free alternative is a bit pricey, but if you have problems with dairy, it will be worth it.This business has always supported high schoolers with providing jobs. It truly is a community feel place and everyone is just happy to be there to get their fix. My fiancé and I love riding our bikes up here in the summer to indulge a bit. He enjoys the milkshakes. They are for sure satisfying. Super thick and flavorful. The strawberry milkshake has chunks of strawberries, so it's like you're still getting a serving of fruit with your shake. They also offer a variety of coffee drinks, along with milk alternatives. I recently ordered a caramel macchiato, which tasted wonderful, but a bit sinful with the delicious caramel syrup they add. Of all things they sell, my favorite item offered is the chocolate covered banana with nuts. No ice cream here, but so so delicious, and huge. Not something I can have in one sitting, usually. My other usual go to are the flurries. I haven't tried one I didn't like so far and you're going to find that these are much more filled with your toppings of choice, over other places nearby. There are a ton of topping choices to choose from to create whatever you like!"
"On a warm, sunny day you're walking down the street and see a few people standing in line for.. ICECREAM! I never knew this place was here.. but of course my toddler saw icecream & had a full on panic attack that could only be treated with chocolate chip cookie dough. The best part is there's a little outside window to order form or you can go inside. There's a few little tables and a bench nearby. They have both icecream and frozen yogurt. Loved it! Ambiance is cute and fun. Workers were really sweet too."
"I love this place! They accept cash and credit, they always have an adequate number of servers and the ice cream quality is amazing. There are about 5 coolers of ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and sorbet to choose from, so choose wisely. They offer waffle cones, sugar cones, cake cones and waffle bowls, along with sundaes, shakes malts and other ridiculous treats. Hints: Ask for a cup of water if you want, it's always free. A junior scoop is usually enough if you can't eat too much ice cream. Never order the brownie sundae... you will die of a chocolate fudge overdose. It can get busy but I'll tell you, fellow Yelpers, it's so worth it."
"Fantastic ice cream and experience. Loved the street-side mascots too. The homemade dog biscuits were a sweet surprise that were loved by our pup and made fresh that day! Will be back."
"Friendly service and great treats!! Now open year round, they give back to our community and hire local high school kids. The ice cream nachos will haunt your dreams, such a brilliant idea! I usually end up getting 2 small flurries because I can never decide which one I want. Just all around goodness."
"Best ice cream place around.. don't let the lines fool you, they move quick! Drive thru where the workers come out to take your order to help you move along quickly, and front window for walk up with the family. Generous portions, fair pricing, huge variety! They have ice cream, dole whip, frozen yogurt and custard."
"Always a nice treat on a hot summer day! The lives get large stove 7pm, luckily we made it there just before it got really busy."
"So many selections of different brands of all excellent ice cream. Cute inside. Will visit again!"
"Not sure why the low reviews for this Shake Shack. We ordered Doordash from here today and everything was as expected - I've had Shake Shack before from the Detroit location and the Troy one.I wanted a single hamburger but apparently they didn't let you do it on DD - not sure if it was because it was 8pm or what - so I got a cheeseburger instead (but it was still one patty...). My boyfriend got the spicy burger they're currently advertising and we both got fries. We also got a chocolate toffee milkshake to split. The burger is always a solid 4/5 for me at Shake Shack and the fries are maybe 3-3.5 ... They're basically Ore Ida fries. Shake is always a 5/5 and the chocolate toffee one didn't disappoint, although I like their cookies & cream one more.Overall 4/5 stars for this location, then - fries and burger was a bit lukewarm but it's like a 15-20 minute drive away so I can't blame them for that."
"So glad this place is near me and I don't have to drive to Ferndale to get delicious cookies. Since they have opened in both locations, I've been a fan. I don't think I had a flavor I didn't like that I have tried. I think the summer/spring flavors are the best, but overall favorites are the Blue Moon and Raspberry Oreo Cheesecake. I don't even like Oreos, but that cookie is divine. These cookies are definitely a once in a a while treat, but worth it. You won't be disappointed."
