"Wow!!! So yummy! I was visiting Detroit for the weekend for a family party and my sister's coworker recommended American Coney Island. The waiter was so attentive and funny and super helpful. He told us what's the most popular and recommended what a first-timer should get. We all got the Coney Island Hot Dog and we got 2 chili cheese fries to share. The chili on the hot dog and fries was so darn good! I wanted more! The decor is so nice inside with pictures of the family. It seems like a diner / fun old school place to eat. So much history too. Keep up the amazing work!"

My wife had a side of mac and cheese and she said it was boring and needed more cheese. We shared an order or Canadian Poutine, it was huge and very flavorful, although not as good as the real deal served in Canada. Our milk shakes were a perfect complement to our meal. 4 out of 5 stars because while the decor was very cool and fun the inside seating area felt small and tight."

"I saw TopUp Burgers as I was passing by one day and decided to try it today. At first, I thought it was pretty expensive for fast food; the least expensive burger, a veggie burger, is $6.95. Still, I decided to order. I got the chopped cheese beef ($8.95) and fries ($2.95). I was glad to see that everything is prepared fresh. They said it would be 10-15 minutes, but it was more like 5.I took my lunch home, as there are only 2 tall tables inside, and as a short person, that is not an option. There were also 2 tables outside, but it was raining on & off, so I didn't want to sit out there. I was sad to see that they've chosen to use styrofoam. I REALLY wish restaurants -- especially fast food restaurants -- would stop using it. For one, it's horrible for the environment. (This is nothing new; there was an episode of "Murphy Brown" from the 1990s where they discussed it and refused to order from restaurants that used it.) But secondly, it really affects the food -- especially the fries, which just get limp because the steam cannot escape.But back to the food. I crisped up the fries in my air fryer, and it improved the consistency and taste quite well. They were large, and possibly hand-cut. And there was a generous amount as well. The burger itself was huge -- I could only eat half, and I was very glad that they cut it. The grilled mushrooms and onions were a nice touch.It wasn't until after I ordered that I saw that burgers could be served on lettuce or fries instead of a bun. Next time, I will do that, as I've learned that, even though I'm not really trying to cut out bread, burgers taste much better on lettuce."

"Came to this food truck on my lunch break. It took about 15-20 mins for my order. I ordered the hot cheetos corn dog with the Sal's fries. I can appreciate that they actually have hot dogs and not sausages. I really enjoyed the corn dog! I have no idea what it's coated in but it was delicious. I wish the coating wasn't only on the top side. For the price, every inch should be covered in the toppings! The fries were ok. I'm not the biggest fan of nacho cheese. It can make the fries soggy fast. You have to eat it in one sitting or risk throwing the rest away, and who wants to do that? The slaw makes it impossible to reheat. The chicken was perfect on top. I definitely won't be ordering them again. The price for me was just astronomically high. I can't see myself paying $10.99+ for another corn dog. IF I go back, I'll try one of their hotdogs on a bun."

"Ohhhhh yeah Burger Shack got that good good! Could I come back here and order the whole menu please?I ordered take out and got the cheeseburger, cheese fries, and chocolate milkshake and yes it was all amazing! The burger was so moist and flavorful, i could eat 7. It was also very thick and was a big patty than normal. The cheese fries had the nacho cheese on it with thick cut fries and oh my goodness they were incredible. The chocolate milkshake was obviously a must too because you can't complete a meal without dessert. I swear this was one of the best burger and fries meal I have ever had and I can't wait to come back.I would say the downfall of this place is that I called ahead of time for takeout, they told me 20 minutes, and it took about 45. Apparently this is a norm for them so just judge accordingly and come like 15 minutes after the estimated time. It didn't look like they had many people working so that would probably explain it. I would still come back, the food was bomb and honestly so worth the wait."

"For a first time visit and spur of the moment. We had a great breakfast. Decent sized, cleaned, newer styled Coney in Dearborn Heights. Good attentive waitress who went above and beyond. Went for breakfast and was not Dissapointed. Had a HUGE menu with interesting sandwiches and hot dog combinations (like dorito). Breakfast was GREAT with the Big Breakfast and options for French toast or pancakes with it. Mom said she wouldn't eat it since shes a slow eater, waitress packed it go with powders sugar and cinnamon and syrup in lil cups on the side. Beef Bacon or Turkey Bacon..i paid 1.50 extra for beef and it was great. Ham is turkey ham with a hickory taste. Also good. Out of my way, but ill be back to try lunch and bring the husband."

"Drive past this place all the time. First time checking it out and first impression were nice. The lady that greeted us and took our order had some of the best customer service i have ever had. My wife got the club sandwich and liked everything about it. The turkey was nice and moist. The bread was perfectly toasted. I had the lukas loaded dog, which is essentially chili cheese fries on top of a hotdog and it was so good. The portion sizes were huge and you get your bang for your buck. They have a nice little outdoor seating area where people played some live music. The inside was kept nice and clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. They also have a drive through."

"This was my first time at this location, I went to their previous Birmingham location years ago. My fiance and I do delivery pretty frequently from Sidecar and it's either this location or the Farmington one, it always varies. I was working in the office today and was able to walk here, so I ordered small cheese curds, the 2:00 a.m. burger minus the ketchup, and a fried chicken slider, hold the lettuce and hot sauce, and extra maple syrup, which is my go-to order. I also like the mushroom Swiss slider and a few others, but these are my favorites. For takeout, I met Larry at the bar and was able to pay with my credit card. I phoned my order in because it's cheaper than doing DoorDash pick up.This feels like a smaller location than the previous Birmingham one, but apparently they also have a cocktail bar next door and a pizza place all rolled into one. I've been looking for some quick takeout places for when I work at the office and I'm wondering if their pizza place does takeout.Sidecar isn't cheap, my bill was about $19 for those three items, but it's always delicious. Note that they charge you slightly less if you pay cash versus using a credit card, slight pet peeve of mine but oh well. (I still used my cc... It was about 40c more)"

I likely wouldn't seek it out, like go to midtown just to eat here, but if The Burger Truck finds me on another night out, trust I will be getting a hot dog. And fries. "I was at the Taco Fest on Sunday and looked on the sites Instagram page and they were voted best at fest, so I chose their truck. There were so many to choose from, I didn't know which one to pick. They were who I went with. I give them 3 stars because the meat was seasoned well, but it was dry. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it had no cheese, so my quy went back to the truck and they gave him a small cup of shredded cheese. Didn't really understand that, but whatever. I definitely will not be trying to locate their food truck or recommending them."
