"I've been going to Pegasus in Greetown since I was a little girl. It was always a special day when my mom would take me to Trappers Alley where we would shop then go have saganaki "flaming cheese" at Pegasus. Sadly the stores at Trappers Alley* has been replaced by Hollywood Casino but the same Pegasus is still there. Same dark wood and dark interior and same delicious Greek food. This recent trip proved that despite all the changes some things remained unchanged. The saganaki was just as I remembered it. That delicious kasseri cheese lit on fire with the crispy edges. They served it with a crusty white bread but I would have preferred the traditional pita bread. Also tried the warm grape leaves. You can either have it topped with a lemon or tomato sauce on top. I opted to try both with the sauces on the side. I can't decide which one I liked better but liked the option of dipping the grape leaves in the sauce instead of it being smothered on top. Our bartender/server made a great cosmopolitan. Filled right to the top not halfway like some places. It's nice to see Pegasus has not changed much over the years and look forward to going back on my next trip to Detroit. Opa!*I added a picture of Trappers Alley from the 80s."

I chose potato wedges and green beans, and turkey chili.Let me just tell you, I was NOT expecting that! For such a quick preparation, I honestly had lower standards, but no, it was GREAT!The short rib was just amazing. Tender, flavorful, meaty. Even as leftovers, it was perfect. The sides were surprisingly flavorful too. I paired the turkey chili with some ritz crackers since I got carry out, and just yum. The employees here are so sweet and kind, so it was a positive experience as well. We were welcomed to take a seat while we waited for our food. I'd recommend!"

I had the lemon rice soup, lemony and creamy very delicious, and the Tommy salad with chicken it was delicious, it was basically a Greek salad chopped up and mixed with the dressing, very fresh and the dill was a nice touch, chicken was good but a bit dry. I got the half size and that was big. Pita bread was warm and soft, tasted great. My table also had gyro, chicken gyro, Mediterranean bowl, and French fries... all were liked and enjoyed. Everyone at the table said, this place was a good pick! I can't wait to go back and try the lamb. The service was very good, very knowledgeable of many dishes, she had many suggestions. She said one thing that I loved, "were family owned and the only frozen food we have is the French fries (which were delish) and chicken strips." I thought that was great! Definitely will be back."

"After a long flight to Detroit, I found myself STARVING. Myself and a few friends from a conference looked around for a place to sit and have a good meal. We found Niki's Pizza - a wonderful spot not that far from the riverfront. It has pizza, salads, regular entrees, and a full bar. It was exactly what we needed!I ordered a small veggie pizza - I've never had a Detroit style pizza and it was so good!The inside of Niki's was clean and inviting. On my first visit to Niki's (because YES, I went back the next day to eat more pizza), the A/C was broken. Our server was so kind and explained the situation. She asked if we needed any additional waters or anything to compensate for the heat. Luckily, I am from sweltering Florida, so the heat was not bothering me one bit! The next day, the A/C was all fixed up. I highly recommend Niki's if you are in the area or staying at a hotel nearby. It's a great place to sit and breathe after a long day at a conference or after a day of travel!"

"I've been coming to this place since it opened, so I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them yet. I mostly visit for lunch during the work week, so keep that in mind as you read on.Service is always so friendly and prompt. I'm never standing around for too long before I'm greeted 'n seated. They have some tall tables and booths throughout. It's a decent spot for small groups but I wouldn't try to come here with more than six people.I fell in love with their almond chicken lunch entree on my first visit and I've stuck with it. Why mess with perfection? I sub out the rice for their (excellent) mashed potatoes and usually request it without garnish because I don't like cabbage. I always ask for an extra side of the cream sauce (it's like alfredo but better.) My order is always correct and food is usually served quick (sometimes too quick!) I enjoy their chicken lemon rice soup, although it's very skimpy on chicken and it's much thinner than most coneys serve theirs. Prices are high for dinner but lunch is decent. Their lunches tend to be under $14, which is fairly standard these days. I ordered lamb chops for dinner once and it was like $45? The portion was great but it was tough looking at that price tag to make my initial selection. Overall, friendly and accurate service, excellent food, great portions. If you enjoy patio eating, they've got a beautiful patio in the back."

"Wow has it been 11 years now that I have been coming to this place. I stop coming here during Covid. There have been a lot of changes since then especially with new staff and they close a little bit early. But still their breakfast is one of the best in selection that I have tried. I do recommend the burgers and the grill cheese. Look out for their selection of deserts they have a pretty good selection too. The vibes here among the owner and staff has shears been good. That is all. Chief Ships sink because they take on water don't take on water for those that want to sink you."

Looking at recent places we've visited, I noticed that we haven't been to a Greek restaurant, so Athens Souvlaki fit the criteria.We arrived at 11:30am on Saturday and it wasn't busy yet so we were seated immediately and waited for the rest of our group...only five today! I had been studying the photos and menus on Yelp and had predetermined that it's been a while since I've had a Gyro so my wife and I both ordered the same thing and also split a bowl of Lemon Rice (Avgolemono) Soup.Service was excellent and our food came out very quickly. The soup was delicious and you can add chicken for an extra charge. The Gyro was also very tasty and was served with what seemed to be straight sour cream instead of the usual Tzatziki sauce. Overall we had a great meal and leisurely time with friends."

You choose a base, protein, and toppings. That being said, Estia, compared to these other restaurants came out ahead in our books. The restaurant has a open, inviting feel and was very clean. The food selections were fresh, appropriately hot/cold, and nicely seasoned. Staff was friendly and efficient. Price was a tad higher than other fast food, but we felt worth it in taste and quality. Gyros about $11, salads $15. We were happy with our meals and would consider returning for a quick, casual meal"

It tasted like it had a splash of vanilla in it. It was super refreshing and delicious.The menu has so much I wanted to try it all. Everything was very reasonably priced! Wraps for under $10! My husband and I opted for the mezza plate for two so we could try everything. Again, super reasonably priced meal. It would definitely feed three people, we took leftovers home. I love how they brought out the cold plate first before the hot plate so that we could munch quickly bc we were so hungry. The tabbouli was delicious. So was the chicken. The pickled vegetables were a great palette cleanser.We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend everyone to come here. Even the music was fun! We are definitely coming back."

"Driving down Main Street in Lapeer, you'll see many fast food places, with family diners interspersed. You'll be excused for thinking this is a diner, since it has that look. But, E.G. Nick's is far more than that. The selection and quality set it apart from the eateries that surround it. There are a dozen excellent beers on tap; a 20 ounce Upperhand IPA, a powerful Michigan brew, only costs $8. The Moscow Mules are strong yes smooth, for $9.While a diner may offer a bread basket (as rare as those are these days), E.G. Nick's provides freshly-baked breadsticks without you having to ask.While a diners have a variety of soups, the quality here is far beyond any diner. The minestrone soup is like a chunky, savory stew, light on the noodles and heavy on the vegetables. We ordered a quart to go before we finished the bowl, and decided to order a second quart before we left.Tacos are available with either chicken or fish, and fried, baked, or blackened. The blackened whitefish is flavorful and light. One good thing that E.G. Nick's kept from their diner roots is the massive portions. You get 2 large tacos with a mildly spicy ranch, and a mountain of crispy, Rally's style fries. I would normally save half of a big plate like this for another meal, but it was so good that I ate all of it.Coleslaw was served with the tacos. This is how all coleslaw should be: not too sweet, not too creamy.The salmon in the salmon salad is baked with a brown sugary glaze, and it's substantial. The saladItself is also massive, with surprisingly mild blue cheese and dried cranberries. When have you had any of that at a diner?The Black Tie Pasta is a huge bowl of creamy bow tie pasta with tortellini and blackened chicken. The Alfredo sauce is excellent, with a nice roasted garlic flavor. I honestly can't think of many places with a better Alfredo sauce (and no, Olive Garden, I'm not thinking of you).The service was prompt and friendly, and the food arrived at the table not long after we placed the order. The whole experience is so good that it's easy to forget that this isn't an upscale, trendy restaurant. But, who cares when the food and the service is this good?"

"This location has AMAZING BREAKFAST. Came here after a little staycation at Royal Park April 8th, and THE FOOD TOPPED THEIRS Imagine that? A Coney Island TOPPING A 5 star hotel! That's exactly what they did. We got...Scrambled eggs and bacon, Omlettes, Belgian Waffles, and of course a few coneys. I was blown away at the portions. Everyone in here smiles at you, seems excited to serve you which you don't experience much at restaurants nowadays. Our waitress had such happy energy I couldn't help but smile as big as I could right back...especially when she brought our food. They even moved us to a table close to an electrical outlet plug once they overheard my dates phone was dead. They really look out for ya here. Whoever owns this location must be a GREAT BOSS and treats their employees well. When everyone working LOOKS and ACTS happy to be there, it really carries over into FEELING WELCOMED and enjoying your food more. I honestly can't even remember a time I had this NICE of an experience at ANY place let alone a Coney Island. Do yourself a favor, ditch the expensive brunch places and come here for a hearty brekkie! We want to come back next time we are in the area. This location makes me want to MOVE TO ROCHESTER just so this can be my new "spot". Oh and the coffee is great too, nothing in here is even CLOSE to mediocre!"

After looking over the paper menu, I finally selected the Mexican omelette with hash browns and toast. You will see a picture of my meal, minus the toast. Honestly, I neglected to add the toast and my drink, because they were nothing special to look at. My drink looked like a drink and my toast looked like plain toast, because that's what it was.After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures from other Yelpers, I hoped that my waitress was going to flirt with me. Nope, never happened to me nor any other customers while I was there. But then she was wearing a mask, making it hard for me to tell.With only 2 other customers besides myself, I was hoping that my meal would arrive immediately. Then I looked out the window to the side and noticed a patron sitting at one of the tables, enjoying a leisurely meal while reading the paper. I wanted to sit outside, too, but I had already settled in at my booth.So why did I have to wait for a short bit to relieve my hunger pangs? Because of all the take-out and to-go orders that continued to stack up on the counter. Every few minutes, another pesky customer would arrive to grab-n-go.While I waited, I happened to look up and noticed some sort of art hanging from the ceiling. At first, I thought it was a blue sky with clouds, then perhaps rolling hills. Finally, I decided they must be waves on an ocean."How was your meal", you may ask. Well let me tell ya, it was everything I expected. My omelette was good, the hash browns were good, my rye toast was good, my Arnold Palmer was good.A detractor was that there were no condiments at any of the tables. That, and everyone of the waitresses were wearing face masks made me feel like there was some sort of pandemic going on.The table tops are perhaps getting a little worn from years of service, but they silently state that this restaurant is pretty popular.A sign in the men's room reminded me that even though your hands may look clean, they could still have icky germs all over them. So I washed them again and looked them over. After the third or fourth time, I finally gave up and figured I wasn't going to win this personal argument with a CDC poster on the wall.When paying my bill, I enquired about a possible military discount. Not today, although they offer a seniors discount at dinnertime.All in all, I'm glad to have finally paid them a visit. The wait staff were all pleasant and I will look forward to my next visit."

"I have been here numerous times in I really wish I could give them a good rating because they have a nice menu and are very close to our house, but they always fall short. EVERY TIME we order carry out, something is wrong with our order: simple things like not providing salad dressing to big problems like when we ordered an open faced sandwich. Instead of the turkey being on bread with mashed potatoes and gravy, we got bread, turkey, and a baked potato. Then in the restaurant on one visit, the silverware that was wrapped in a napkin (sonsomeone took the time to do this) was very noticeably dirty with spinach leaves caked onto it. Another time my friend was given the wrong salad. When the waitress came back to check on us, she just took it and gave it to another table. She had no idea if my friend had touched or eaten from the salad, she just gave it to someone else."

I had tried to order ahead online but I think the window to submit closed because I got an error when I tried to pay. I mentioned this when I got there and they kindly checked to make sure my order hadn't gone through before I ordered again. There was nothing on the books under my name so I went ahead and ordered my husband and I, a pair of steak gyro combos. Rice for him, fries for me. I also tried an order of the feta red pepper dip. The total was a bit on the pricier side but honestly it was worth it. The gyros were stacked, tons of fillings in a fluffy pita. The steak was an up charge but it was cooked medium as we both requested. The fries are also excellent, they have a bit of that crunchy coating on them you find at a lot of other Mediterranean/Middle Eastern eateries, which I love. The feta pepper dip reminded me of a Greek pimento cheese of sorts, but with a slight kick to it. Portions were also quite big. They have a rewards system that I highly recommend signing up for. I already earned one $5 off coupon for my next visit. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area which I look forward to enjoying if we end up dining in at any point. But for now, takeout was a breeze."

I ordered online through their app for both times I've been here (twice in the same week, if that says anything!) and the process was super simple. You even get rewards points with each order! Yay! Estia specializes in Greek food that is healthy, homemade and delicious. They certainly succeeded! You can try one of their speciality wraps, power bowls, or my favorites: Build you own wrap. You can tell by the first bite you have that Estia focuses on food and flavor without all the extra additives. My wheat wrap was filled with fresh hummus, grilled chicken (some of the best I've had!), lettuce, beets, cucumbers and peppers. Portions are huge! The wrap was enough for me to have for lunch the next day as well.Don't skip out on the fresh pita chips! Amazing! They blow Olga's snackers out the water. The yogurt, cucumber, garlic spread certainly packs the flavor and is the perfect pair to your pita and pita chips.Some reviews have stated that the price doesn't reflect the quantity, but I beg to differ. I will always pay more for food that is made fresh with good ingredients. The workers here are so kind and welcoming.
