The house-made chocolate, kanafe, and ice creams are all incredible, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.But somehow, not enough people talk about my absolute favorite thing--the Ashta fruit cups! They're so good. The only downside is that they sell out sometimes, so they're not always available. But if you see them, do yourself a favor and grab one!"

"With Polonia next door it's the battle of the pierogies! While Anthony Bourdain did indeed go to Polonia and sang its praises legend has it Polish Village Café was tapped first but with the narrow stairs leading to the cellar/basement level they were not able to get their filming equipment down there. To summarize my point of the dueling pierogies story my friends is this: Don't miss out on Polish Village Café! Try both places and you will get an accurate comparison of Polish cuisine. Similar yet different. I want to say the 4 of us ladies got phenomenal service from Alexis. She made great suggestions, was prompt, and was able to make a few modifications for my pickier friends. We started with the soup. Dill pickle for my friends and beet for me. This was some of the best beet soup I've ever had. My Polish babcia would make her beet soup and thicken it with sour cream. Other than my grandma I've never had a thickened and creamy beet soup until here. Dill pickle soup was also great with a tangy but not overpowering pickle taste. Wanting to sample a variety and also wanting leftovers I went with the pick 3 meat plate (city chicken, chicken livers, and fresh Polish sausage). Wow talk about a menagerie of food. The sausage alone was enough to feed 2-3 people. They put a beer gravy over the top which is something I've never had but it works. Chicken livers were deep-fried and slightly on the salty side but dipping them in the extra beer gravy proved to be a wise choice. City chicken was just as I remembered from before. Whatever breading they use somehow manages to stay in place but you still get the tender juicy flavor from the pork and veal that shines through. All four of us had enough food left over for lunch the next day. Prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. I'm excited to be living in the Detroit area again and will be able to satisfy my Polish food cravings whenever the urge hits!"

When we got there I wasn't on the list, my husband showed the girl what Yelp said, but she said no and so I was given some options, but I was too far down the counter where my hubby had to check in and couldn't really read the options well (hand written on chalk board).I ended up getting just one scoop of vanilla with waffle cone broken over it (due to the list she told me since not being able to get to menu from someone blocking) and I just chose waffle cone due to the options she quoted off to me. To be honest our server really didn't impress me because she didnt see me officially on the list although my hubby showed her the Yelp... she just seemed a bit annoyed. It seemed I got a bit of an attitude. Hubby had to pay for mine, while He got his.Would I try again? Eh.... I'm sure they have good items, but when you treat me kind of eh, my attitude becomes the same."

The service and the family that owns it is a hoot, and really friendly and attentive. It's nice and cozy and colorful inside, with plenty of seating. We were told later that everything is homemade, and it shows! Salsas are delicious, so are sauces and all the food. We've been back a few times already, and get the same great food each time. Food comes out pretty quick, and they have a good amount of options. I will definitely try some other things, I'm looking forward to the puffy tacos. It's some great Mexican food!"

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by this lackluster meal. It was also on the dry side. For a potato this size you'll need to use quite a bit of butter to help keep it moist. I think the quality has went down and the price has risen with this place. I really didn't want Potato Place because the last time I had it, I didn't enjoy it . Sometimes you must take one for the the team. They can definitely do better in the future with the quality, taste and presentation of their food especially if they going to charge you an arm. Oh yeah you're going to pay extra for butter, sour cream ect.. especially if it don't come on it. Im not saying don't give it a try, I just would prefer better quality even if its as simple as topping on a potato."

In my pre going there research...I saw that they have done multiple amazing cakes like this in the past! I got there about 1pm on a beautiful sunny Friday. Once in, the bakery items were quite enticing. From thinking I'll just get a couple of cookies to...1 of each cookie type they had (6!) And some AMAZING looking cinnamon rolls to enjoy the next morning, I walked out with quite a haul! Everything was fantastic! "A gem tucked away in strip mall in Sterling Heights. Street Sweets is a great place to come if you just gotta have that sugar fix. I always get the Triple Sweet Iced Latte. Of course I never remember the name and just end up asking for the Iced Carmel Latte with three donuts, and by then the staff usually know what I'm talking about. I tend to pick the same latte but I try to mix it up each time with the donuts. This time I picked the Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, and Strawberry Sprinkle. They're are tons of choices to choose from. They all tasted amazing but I feel like the strawberry sprinkle was my fave. Overall tasty and a sugar RUSH. In addition to the Iced Lattes and donuts, they have cake, waffle pops, vegan cookies + more. If you're ever in the area you have got to stop by. I'll definitely be back to try the Waffle Pops!"

By the drive home I'll only have two left! They also carry vegan and gluten free options as well which is a nice touch. The owners have always been very kind and they're fast as well. There is also a reward system that allows you to earn points for every purchase. It's tucked in a plaza on Woodward/Long Lake that you would most likely miss driving by but they are worth the visit!"
