"Amazing bakery! Amazing products!I went to see in person the Amon Ra St Brown cake....I was not disappointed! In my pre going there research...I saw that they have done multiple amazing cakes like this in the past! I got there about 1pm on a beautiful sunny Friday. There was a lot of buzz outside!The line to get in the store was not too long, so I stood and admired the display cake as I waited to sample their wares. Once in, the bakery items were quite enticing. From thinking I'll just get a couple of cookies to...1 of each cookie type they had (6!) And some AMAZING looking cinnamon rolls to enjoy the next morning, I walked out with quite a haul! Everything was fantastic! The cinnamon roll was not only gorgeous and perfect looking...it had to be the best I've ever eaten! Looking forward to going back again soon!"

"Wow! Highly impressed! This review is for the 2 cakes I was able to sample this weekend. I cannot comment on the service personally, as I did not visit this location. But after sampling 2 cakes from Christine's Bakery, I can tell you that I will be back in the future to purchase some of her amazing creations for my own parties. We attended a double birthday party this past weekend for some very close friends. The wife/mother of the birthday persons purchased 2 cakes from Christine's and couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were. She told me she always gets her celebration cakes from Christine and has never been disappointed, nor has her guests. The one cake for our friend's 50th was the ever so famous "Bumpy Cake", which if you don't know is a famous cake from Sanders in Detroit. This riff on the Detroit classic, may have, in my books, surpassed the original. I don't even like sweets, and especially not chocolate. But for the sake of writing a review, I tried both cakes. And I have to say, if I did like sweets- this would be dangerous for me!! I could see this cake being addictive for some!! It was a chocolate fudge cake made with rich Devil's food cake, a thick center of the most luscious buttercream and finally draped in a delicious fudge icing, crowned with chocolate sprinkles. For as rich as this cake sounds, it surprisingly wasn't. It was just damn good. The buttercream was smooth and rich, the cake was light and oh so moist, the draping of fudge icing was perfection! I see why this is one of the top sellers at this bakery! The other cake for the 13yr old daughter was just as amazing and beautifully decorated. It was the Strawberry Shortcake. It had 3 layers of yellow cake filled with fresh sliced strawberries, iced with whipping cream and garnished with fresh strawberries and white chocolate shavings. If I thought this cake looked delicious- my taste buds confirmed it! It was rich and delicious with super fresh strawberries complimented by a smooth and light buttercream complete with amazing white chocolate. Both cakes, hands down blew me away! I was so thankful that my friend let us take a few slices of each home, so the kids could enjoy them too. They were literally fighting over the last few bites. To say I was impressed with both cakes from Christine's, would be an understatement. I know where I'll be getting my next specialty cake from! Definitely recommend!"

"This is a hidden gem! We had the pleasure of meeting Gwen and tasting some of the best cupcakes, cookies, and danishes! We walked in to take a box of treats home for a gathering. Gwen was helpful in telling us the flavors, what's popular, and what she had in the back in case we wanted more of a certain type. We got the Carrot Cake, Black Forest, and Caramel Apple cupcakes. After cutting them into pieces to split, we loved them all! Full of flavor and just enough of everything. They weren't dry, they had a perfect amount of frosting, and tasted great. We also ordered the Apple, Raspberry, and Strawberry danishes. Those were tried the next day with coffee and were great too. The added touch of fresh fruit on top was a nice treat and made it easy to differentiate which flavor was which. They have a nice amount of fruit filling and crust surrounding it to avoid a mess while eating. She also threw in some apricot pocket cookies that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, we liked everything we got from here. Gwen mentioned that their specialty at the bakery were special orders. It's best to order in advance and pick up. While we enjoyed what we got, the selection does show its best to order ahead as there isn't a vast selection when you walk in. We will likely be back to special order our cakes and treats!"

"We stop here for the first time to get some baked goods for my birthday dessert and we loved everything that we got (coconut cream pie, apple dumpling, cassata cake) and definitely planned to go back! We were also offered a free cookie each since it was our first time and the peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies were great! The gentleman helping us out was very nice. My only suggestion would be to have signs in the case letting you know what the items are, the cost, and if they contain any common allergens. We had to ask him to describe every item for us."

"I first heard about Homestead thru the Yelp Eloise Asylum event. I loved their little cakelets so much that I ordered for my own personal Halloween party. It was an easy process emailing the owner, Trina, and paying online. When I picked it up, they of course had SOO many goodies in their store front. I went for the pumpkin cheesecake cinnamon roll which was SO good. The frosting was their signature meringue buttercream so more light and airy than a cream cheese frosting. The cinnamon roll itself was wonderfully fluffy. They also had really cute cookies and an awesome bumpy brownie (like bumpy cake but make it a brownie!!) Too bad Westland is ~40-45 minutes from Ann Arbor, otherwise I'd be here all the time. But, I'll definitely keep Trina and Homestead in mind for more parties in the future!!"

"I've recently started coming to Dairy Fairies. ‍ The ambience and atmosphere is really nice and relaxing with instrumental music of all genres that just puts you in such a good mood. My favorite coffees and treats here would have to be a caramel macchiato with sweet cold foam, I get my caramel sugar free for diet restrictions, but the staff will work with you to customize as best as they can to your liking. I also like the egg and cheese on a croissant or a bagel. Really hits the spot! The staff are really friendly and personable people. They have fun treats such as crepes, milk cakes, boba tea which is a fun item to have on the menu, I haven't seen a lot of cafes offer that around here, so that's a nice twist! I've tried the lotus milk cake and it is really good. They also have the Dubai bar and sell the entire bar or the pieces in individual squares for $1 each. This place is nice for friends, families, students and is a great co working space!"

"This new Shatila literally opened across the street from the subdivision I grew up on. Every time I drove by the construction with the big "coming soon!" sign I would curse under my breath that they weren't here when my family was living there. But alas, it's probably for the best, since I'd probably be there every day. I was able to pop over shortly after they opened and had a great experience. The decor is very relaxing (the fountain!) with loads of seating and tons of treats to choose from. I ended up choosing a few treats to take home, a few slices of knafeh, some of the European style mini cakes, and a plate of awamat. Everything was delicious! It was early in their opening so they had loads of folks running behind the counter so it didn't take very long to go in and out. I was taking mine to go but staying in and dining would also be a very nice experience."
