"I've heard great things about this place and was very excited to try it. Parking is scarce around here but there is a parking lot across the street that you can park in. The shop is cute and clean and the employees are very nice. I tried a strawberry cake, a banana bread and a parfait and I can say the banana bread was my favorite. But I'm always partial to banana bread. Definitely try themOut if you are looking for a good sweet!"

"My friends in Miami and Rotterdam organized having a Peteet's Superman cheesecake delivered to my house for my 40th birthday this year. I wasn't expecting it, and the delivery came from DoorDash, but the entire process was easy, and the cheesecake was delicious, as a fan of Superman ice cream. The cheesecakes was light and flavorful, and most importantly a swirl of red, yellow, and blue. Ten slices came to a whole, which I ate more of thanI expected to, but sometimes a slice of cheesecake is the perfect breakfast. I am anxious to try other flavors they offer and their carrot cake! And happy to support an Oak Park Business."

"We made an impromptu visit to Detroit's Mexicantown neighborhood on an unseasonably warm day. The bakery is across the street from Clark Park, has easy street parking, and had the most amazing selection of sweet treats. And then we saw the case of warm savory items, and our lunch plan was set - empanadas and treats in the park. The hardest thing was picking, and the Buttercream Yo Yo won. It was huge and flavorful and satisfying. The two empanadas I tried were equally good - one with chicken and one with ham and cheese. The prices were great and the service was friendly. Definitely recommend!"

"Yummy cupcakes is one of my favorite bakeries in Oakland county. In addition to cupcakes they also sell cookies and macaron's with all types of flavors to choose from. My FAVORITE cupcake here is the vanilla bean. It may seem simple, but I think when it comes to desert sometimes less is more. I'll order four at a time sometimes just because they're just that good. By the drive home I'll only have two left! They also carry vegan and gluten free options as well which is a nice touch. The owners have always been very kind and they're fast as well. There is also a reward system that allows you to earn points for every purchase. It's tucked in a plaza on Woodward/Long Lake that you would most likely miss driving by but they are worth the visit!"

"Wow! Highly impressed! This review is for the 2 cakes I was able to sample this weekend. I cannot comment on the service personally, as I did not visit this location. But after sampling 2 cakes from Christine's Bakery, I can tell you that I will be back in the future to purchase some of her amazing creations for my own parties. We attended a double birthday party this past weekend for some very close friends. The wife/mother of the birthday persons purchased 2 cakes from Christine's and couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were. She told me she always gets her celebration cakes from Christine and has never been disappointed, nor has her guests. The one cake for our friend's 50th was the ever so famous "Bumpy Cake", which if you don't know is a famous cake from Sanders in Detroit. This riff on the Detroit classic, may have, in my books, surpassed the original. I don't even like sweets, and especially not chocolate. But for the sake of writing a review, I tried both cakes. And I have to say, if I did like sweets- this would be dangerous for me!! I could see this cake being addictive for some!! It was a chocolate fudge cake made with rich Devil's food cake, a thick center of the most luscious buttercream and finally draped in a delicious fudge icing, crowned with chocolate sprinkles. For as rich as this cake sounds, it surprisingly wasn't. It was just damn good. The buttercream was smooth and rich, the cake was light and oh so moist, the draping of fudge icing was perfection! I see why this is one of the top sellers at this bakery! The other cake for the 13yr old daughter was just as amazing and beautifully decorated. It was the Strawberry Shortcake. It had 3 layers of yellow cake filled with fresh sliced strawberries, iced with whipping cream and garnished with fresh strawberries and white chocolate shavings. If I thought this cake looked delicious- my taste buds confirmed it! It was rich and delicious with super fresh strawberries complimented by a smooth and light buttercream complete with amazing white chocolate. Both cakes, hands down blew me away! I was so thankful that my friend let us take a few slices of each home, so the kids could enjoy them too. They were literally fighting over the last few bites. To say I was impressed with both cakes from Christine's, would be an understatement. I know where I'll be getting my next specialty cake from! Definitely recommend!"

"Excellent, friendly and fast service. Delicious cupcakes and coffee! I can see why this place was voted Michigan's best cupcake last year.Large variety of cupcakes, brownies, and other baked goods. They serve ice cream too.They also have breakfast and lunch items. I need to come back and try a breakfast bagel sandwich, salad, and a wrap. Everything looks really good.I loved my carrot cake cupcake! So moist and the buttercream is amazing. My friend said his brownie was fabulous too. My lavender latte was divine and my friend thought his regular coffee was high quality too.Very clean and fun decor. Seating is spaced out so you have privacy. There is even a fireplace. I like the ambiance! Easy parking in the strip mall.I plan on being a regular!!"

"Never Forgotten Bakery has taken over for the former, Sunflour Bakehaus. The new location is in a strip mall off of Orchard Lake Road. The service is always pleasant and cheerful, and they give you that awesome feeling of community and family. The favorite of mine, and I'm sure a lot of others would agree, is the Old World Bread. It is simple, but delicious. Come a little after 11am and get it still warm. It makes an amazing grilled cheese. It's a must try. Other kinds of bread are made throughout the week and they are always changing for days and with the holidays. Along with bread there is a wide variety of things like cookies, pastries, muffins, and scones. A visit on a Saturday will get you fresh made pretzels that are a must. They have started create a website you can order ahead on some products. Check it out if you are in a hurry. If you are like me, you can hit the gym down the road, burn off calories, and replace them with delicious carbs with no guilt. :)"
