I also got the scallion pancakes, which were impressively thin and packed with great flavor.Service was fast and efficient, making for an easy and enjoyable meal. If you love spicy food, this is the place for you. The service is so kind. There are two employees that we always see when coming here, and they are always so nice and helpful. The food comes out so quick too and so fresh! The food comes out family style and the portions are excellent. We always have food to take home. The environment is quiet and never too busy when we come in. This restaurant is very different from the traditional Chinese restaurants. It has an authentic Sichuan style! My husband and I love coming here. Again, if you love spicy foods as well this is the place! The popcorn chicken is one of their popular foods and it's delicious! We haven't tried anything we didn't like yet!"

We essentially repeated our order because it was so good last time! But, unfortunately we didn't have the same experience. Still insane portions, tasty rice, and this time the were so incredibly fast! The sweet and sour chicken was great! My husband was really impressed and loved it. I got the sesame chicken and it was a little dry this time. It didn't have the same tasty crisp texture of the first go but the flavor was still good. Once again, INSANE value. I tried the spring roll and loved it! Crab Rangoon was amazing. They're still HUGE and so tasty! The hot and sour soup was the big disappointment this time. Even just from looking at it you could tell the pepper content was high. Once tasting it the pepper (literally ground pepper) taste was so overpowering it was inedible. It wasn't spicy, just tasted like taking a bite of ground pepper. It was so disappointing since it was SO good when we got it last! Overall still very tasty, and a great value for the money!"

Since I was hungry for Chinese, he suggested we come here, since it's one of his favorites.Pulling in, the parking lots a bit of a mess. Pot holes everywhere and crumbling like no other. It could use a refresh! Walking in though the place is cute and well decorated. We were seated by the hostess near the fish tank which I loved, and our server came to our table to give us menus and such. The menu here's pretty thorough, and their prices are pretty decent. I started with Crab Rangoon which was fabulous by the way. They didn't offer any dipping sauce, but we did get these chips of some sort with sweet and sour sauce, which I used to dip the Rangoon in.My dad got the hot and sour soup, along with a beef dish. I went with the Sesame Chicken, which was a huge portion. While the chicken was good, it was kind of bland. The waitress asked me if I wanted it mild, medium or hot, and I should've gotten medium. They kind of skimped on the rice a bit especially since there was two of us. I wish they would've given us more.Even though the place is great, we barely saw our server. We ran out of water several times and had to flag her down for our bill. She was good when she was there though. Staff here's genuine and great so that's a bonus. W. John R. "A great place to get a quick Chinese meal. The service is fast, it's family-owned, the restaurant is impeccably clean. Parking is easy. They have "serve it yourself" water, which I LOVE because I usually go through 2-3 cups of water with my meals, and the condiment station is a nice touch for customization. My favorites are the restaurant's namesakes - the dumplings (fried or soup dumplings) and the hot pepper oil noodles. The dumplings are super authentic, tender and not overcooked, and the noodles are fantastic with a nice amount of chew rather than being mushy like some local unnamed competitors. I like getting the cheese rangoon (NOT crab rangoon) appetizers as well.If I have to be picky in my review - I've strayed from my order and tried some other "popular" rice dish menu items like Orange Chicken and General Tsao, and my kids have tried the Sweet and Sour. None of them have really hit my palate well - they were too sweet, with the sweetness overpowering the nuance of the dish as I've had it at other restaurants. I wouldn't recommend any of the three unless the chef eases up on the sugar a bit. That just means I will stick to the hot pepper oil or Szechuan noodles, which are both perfect dishes!"

Rob P. "Getting food by carry out is the new reality, so it's great to find a place with really good food. What I love about New Asian Star is that they execute the classic Chinese dishes - broccoli chicken and sesame chicken - flawlessly while also adding cool things you don't normally get from a Chinese restaurant: Pho, a hearty Vietnamese soup. The breaded chicken in the sesame chicken had a crispness and a glaze to the exterior, unlike the soggy breading at some places. I thought the fried rice was robust and flavorful, but my wife didn't love the onions in the rice. The chicken in the broccoli chicken was cooked properly and had a sauce on it that went well with white rice. The brisket pho was quite a thing to get as a carry out, since there are so many parts to it. An entire carry out container had most of it: the lean brisket, rice noodles, peppers, scallions. Another container had a massive branch of Thai basil, plus bean sprouts, and scallions. The broth was in a third, massive container. I can see why this can serve as a main course (for more than one person). One thing I also love is the massive amount of fried wontons with any soup order. The hot and sour soup is neither hot nor sour, but it's hearty.Curbside service was a little slow, but that's a testament to how good the place is. The word is out. It's worth the wait."

Alaina C. "I'm about to drop a truth bomb that just might break Yelp. Brace for impact: My first experience at Cafe Sushi was better than my first experience at Noble Fish. Periot. For starters, they were open when I needed them to be - no weird or random closures. Crooks and Maple, next to T-mobile. A very cute little scene (dining room currently closed), but I would hardly consider this a store front. Yes, the sushi counter/case is literally RIGHT in your face when you walk in - who doesn't want this?! They have no choice BUT to keep it clean! Everything was clean and fresh and right there to see. The lady running the place was polite and professional, no complaints. She said the order would be ready in 20 minutes, it was ready in 20 minutes. She greeted her regulars on the phone by name and even remembered some of their orders. The only disappointment was not being able to sit and experience the coziness and inviting feeling of the dining room, to no fault of theirs! I look forward to a day when places like this can fully re-open. And now, the food. 5 stars for freshness and quality. Not one SINGLE funky piece of fish. No weird strings of hard-to-chew fat in the salmon, you know what I'm talking about. I won't even try to go into detail. Just observe this fine work of art. This is what 20 minutes and $61.00 for a carry-out at Cafe Sushi gets you (miso soup not pictured). Now tell me this isn't worth it. I'll wait."

Adam S. "After moving to this area several years ago, this is my go to spot for Chinese take out. They've been closed for inside dining since the world shut down, but that's fine as we usually just do take away anyway... The inside is a bit cluttered though as the dining area is used as storage now and they just threw up a bunch of plastic to separate the lobby from the rest of the place. Could be tidier, but it's not dirty...Service is typical for a family owned Chinese-American take out spot; nice, but they make you feel very rushed to do everything. Get in. Get out.The food however is above average, and I've tried just about every Chinese spot in the area.Admittedly, most of these places have food that looks the same, but some is bland, some isn't spicy, some give small portions, but Wing Wah has food that actually tastes good, if you order with spice, you will feel it and the portion sizes are huge!I've not tried anything off of the Chinese menu, and I know the American menu is for "us", but it really is the best spot of its kind in the area."

When I say almost, it's the closest I've found to it any where including Oakland and Livingston counties. It's about 85% similar.I was so happy to find out they have bean sprouts eggs rolls! You have no idea! The egg rolls were filled with bean sprouts, chicken, and whatever else they put in it. I actually would have liked less chicken and more sprouts! They were good though. Nice and crispy and not drippy with grease. The almond chicken was on point. Again, fried to perfection without being overly greasy. The brown sauce was good. I would have loved some mushroom pieces in it. The fried rice was ok. It was a pork fried rice. The flavor was good but it was a little dry. That was the only part of my meal that I really had a "complaint" about. My meal was $8 amd change which I thought was very reasonable. That was with the extra egg roll I ordered. Other places I've been to charge a little more, but have two chicken breasts, this meal came with one. I'm not complaining though.
