"This little order at the counter spot was very tasty. If you're looking for quick, fresh, vegan food, definitely come here!"
"This company does the catering for my financial advisor's pre-Dream Cruise party every year (minus 2020, natch), and every year, they impress the heck out of me.There's nothing particularly "high end" about what they do, but what they do is get the things that they provide absolutely *right*. Yes, they do pretty standard hot dogs and hamburgers, but where they really shine is in, say, the marinated chicken kebobs that they grill for us every single year. I swear, if they ever stop doing the chicken kebobs, there's gonna be fightin' words coming out of my mouth, that's for certain. They may be simple, but they are fantastic: juicy white meat chicken on a skewer, marinated in Italian dressing and pesto, served alongside grilled peppers and onions. I literally ate *five* of these today, along with plenty of onions and peppers. They are that good. They always have great salads, too, although this year I didn't partake because of the parmesan. Still: it looked terrific, and if that parmesan hadn't been there, you'd better believe I would have had some. And by "some", I mean "a stinking huge portion".Want more? You got it: their service is top rate, with people who are genuinely glad to be working their jobs, treating people well, with smiles on their faces. It's refreshing, and gratifying, to see people working this hard and being this happy to do so. It shows.Look: it might not be high falutin', but it's *really* well done, good food by people who work hard. I'll be looking forward to seeing them next year, if not sooner!"
"I ordered the steak and cheese wrap, assuming it would have too little meat, I made it a Jumbo. Boy was I mistaken,...they certainly didn't cheat me on steak like other places! Everything was fresh tasting and hot! I was the only customer at the time so I really can't speak on the service. My wrap took about ten minutes. Not bad."
"I was scrolling through local restaurants and was super surprised that such a staple had such a bad rating, so came to give my slice to help boost it up. My family is big. When we get together there are a lot of mouths to feed, and a few big appetites. Roma's has been a go to in our family for many years. We LOVE their pizza (the sweet sauce compliments the cheese and delicious crust), we often get their antipasto salad (the dressing is very sweet but with the combination of veggies, cheese, and meat it's quite a treat). You order an hour before you need it, because they get busy. Be patient. I am super picky, and on more than one occasion they have excelled in accommodating me. I don't think I have ever eaten in here, but with as busy as their carryout business is, I would assume having it straight out of the kitchen is even better."
"We ordered food for breakfast and lunch at my company this week! The food was delicious and really homemade. We ordered and egg bake, bacon, fresh fruit, and muffins. It was really good everyone kept asking where we got the food from. Then for lunch we had almond chicken crusted bake with this honey and basil dressing along with this wonderful salad, really great rice (forgot the name of it) along yummy cookies, chocolate brownie and raspberry bars. Thank you Jeff for the wonderful homemade food! I can tell a lot of love went into this food. We have these training weeks once a month. We will definitely give you more business. I am sorry we weren't able to take a picture of your food. We will definitely do it next time."
"This is a review of the Havana Nights fundraiser for the Detroit Belle Isle Boathouse. It seems to be an annual event. The Roostertail is the perfect place for it. Lots of parking, 3 prices depending on how close to the building you are. I got the closet since the boat club gets a cut. Open space for lots of people and even different levels to spread out based on your level of ticket (I got the cheapest). A few bands or DJs, dance lessons, and even a 360 photo booth gave you other things to do besides drink and smoke cigars. Those with the cheap tickets had a few food trucks to buy a taste of the Caribbean. People selling jewelry, bath and body items, and a wonderful artist selling paintings, shoes and clothing. Just a good place to people watch and see how little some had to wear in public. I just choose to be 1950s classic with a twist. Plan to be back next year since it was fun and help a good cause."
"What a great find! Cute little sandwich shop in downtown Northville. I called my order in ahead and it was ready when I arrived. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They offer gluten free bread that's soft and flavorful! They also have Dirty Deli Style brand chips. I had never tried these before, but I grabbed the Honey Sriracha flavor and they complimented the spiciness of my Better Than Sierra turkey sammich perfectly."
"Chive Kitchen was the first all-vegan restaurant I ever tried & even now, 7+ years & many other vegan restaurants later, it remains my favorite. I tried it when I myself was vegan, but even now as a non-vegan, I often find myself craving it. I first discovered Chive Kitchen at a VegMichigan event where Chive Kitchen's head chef & founder, Susie Silvestre, was doing a cooking demo of their chili.Surprisingly, my favorite dish at Chive Kitchen to this day is their Michigan chili. I've personally always hated chili and was very hesitant to try Chive Kitchen's, but the moment I did, I was transformed. Their chili is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted & ever since then, I've tried to try other place's chilis as well & they all fall SO short. I highly recommend you try a cup of this the next time you dine at Chive Kitchen. It's so scrumptious & I even brought it with me on several camping trips to heat over the campfire on colder events, which really hit the spot.I don't understand how they do it, but the food is so incredible here! They take making food to a whole new level. I really want to encourage everyone, whether you are or aren't vegan, to leave any qualms & whatever prior (mis)conceptions you have about vegan food at the door, & try this place because you really shouldn't knock it until you've tried it.Chive Kitchen is always doing special events as well & incorporating new & tasty dishes into their menu on a rolling basis. Every time I place an order here, I see new items on the menu that sound so good, I salivate just reading the description or seeing the pictures. Honestly, after writing this review, I'm craving Chive Kitchen again & will probably be placing an order online immediately after this. :)"
"I had my shower here for my wedding. The room was a good size for our group of about 60 people. They provided a buffet style lunch for us. I had pasta, salad, chicken and beef, rolls and other things I'm forgetting. My MIL and SIL did most of the planning, but they said that they were really easy and get to work with. The service that day was quick, efficient and attentive. If I ever need a place to gather a group of people in Dearborn, this is a great place to host such a party. The staff made it super easy to plan and execute our party for a shower."
"Awesome food with hometown feel. Knowledgeable staff, and they're friendly. All the eats and terrific desserts!!"
"Gas Station BBQ and it's fabulous! I'll say it again because it's so strange it bares repeating. Gas Station BBQ and it's fabulous!!! Weirdness, I know!We went to Pit Master after craving some bbq eats and having no propane left for our own grill. Being slightly hungover on this particular day, we didn't feel like going through the whole process of the propane exchange. We started an online search and stumbled onto Pit Master BBQ.We called in the order and approximately 20 minutes later, the food was ready. I ordered the rib tip combo since I am not a fan of eating meats off bones. I'll do it but it kind of grosses me out. Plus, any meat still attached to the bone is guaranteed messy. Since I was hungover a bit, I didn't want to have to work for my food. So, rib tips all the way. The meat was delicious. Juicy, tender, with a subtle smoky flavor. One thing the meat was lacking; sauce. I like saucy ribs so I could've used a few more dabbles. Not a major complaint but a mentionable. I see someone else posted before me; too much sauce. Maybe they could supply your meal with a little extra sauce in a cup so the customer can manage the meat to sauce ratio??? My two cents anyway. As for the sides, I really enjoyed the baked beans I ordered. Yes, I know baked beans are simple by nature but these baked beans had a good bacon flavor with a thick texture. Me likely! The mac & cheese was pretty standard. Cheese & noodles. Nothing fancy done there but it was cheesy and creamy so I'll take it. Oh, and the cornbread was undercooked. However, the undercooked cornbread was extraordinary. I say, keep it under-cooked. Again, two more cents for you. The boyfriend really enjoyed his meal too and the food was prepared in a timely fashion. Prices are so-so considering the portions are kind of small for the sides. This is a hidden little joint that has some great eats. If you're in the area, stop in, fill up your gas tank, and grab some ribs!!! Note: For a Gas Station BBQ Joint, their website isn't too shabby. It was easy to navigate and the menu items had clear pricing and descriptions. Bonus points!!"
"We had a catering box from this place. Everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. They were able to make a vegan sandwich which is cool"

For a quick, yummy and fresh lunch, this is a great place to go! I had an appointment in Lower Town and stopped yesterday for a quick bite to eat. I had a chef salad and popover. It was really good. Their outdoor seating area is funky and comfortable. Looking for a quick lunch in Plymouth? This is your spot. Oh, and bonus. They have oodles of parking.

I recently attended 2 party's here. This is definitely the nicest place to attend an event In Detroit!Yes the river views and sunset were amazing, but the food, the staff were even more incredible! They had a wide variety of delicious hor duerves, food stations with sliced meats, desert stations, full bar & any drink you can create!! They had photo shoots, live music on the main stage & a DJ upstairs!!Apparently the same family has run this premiere event space for 67 years & tons of famous people have been here. I learned that you can smaller events like weddings too. I went for a friend's company party & also atted a girlfriend's party! I wish I was invited to every party here! The food is Soo good!! And it's fun! There's an outside area when you get too hot from dancing, and did I mention all of the desserts!!! It's like Willy wonka!! Tons of cool displays, moving around its really unlike anything I've seen in the US.. it's the closest thing to heaven! If you have a wedding, or to plan a work party, or want to do a cool event for people, this is the spot!

Do you like sandwiches? What about sandwiches with a bit of an Italian lean? How about quality deli meats and cheeses? Fresh salads, grab and go prepared dips and spreads (like pimento cheese, buffalo chicken dip, and tuna pasta salad), and a small but mighty market of beverages, wine, and a few other staples? Then you're going to dig the Little Salumi!Located in downtown Northville, I stopped by to grab a sandwich to go during the summer. The shop is small, as is the menu, but rest assured it's all killer, no filler. All of the sandwiches sounded SO good but I'm a sucker for a brie so I went with the Figgy, a delicious combination of fig jam, prosciutto, and brie. It was SO good. I can see myself having trouble choosing anything else here moving forward, though I have to admit the Williamsburg also calls my name thanks to the inclusion of burrata! I also loved how the street was closed down to traffic and pedestrian only. Folks were out and about, enjoying a beautiful day in the park across the street with the sandwiches and I wished I could have joined them. I had to run but I would absolutely love to come back here and do the same! In addition to the lunch offerings and grab and go dishes they also offer charcuterie boards for pre-order. In year's past I've made my own for a little post-holiday "Couchmas" fest my husband and I celebrate on boxing day but I think this year I'm going to place an order for one of their delicious looking boards!

The food is delicious and the dining room and bar are really cute. It's not full service and food is served in carryout containers, but the staff is warm and welcoming, the drinks are fresh and cold, and the vegan faire is delicious! They also have a great selection of mocktails and wine. You just walk in and sit where you'd like and then order from the bar. They give you a table number and you pay up front when you leave. We had the pineapple fried rice and the fried artichoke bowl - both were so flavorful and delicious. I also had the minestrone soup, and that was hot and freshly made as well. Everything tasted great and I love the location - I will be back frequently, and especially when I am in the mood for a sandwich - they have a huge menu of those. Be aware - the menu is a little carb-heavy - I was thinking I might ask in advance if they could make cauliflower rice for me next time. I can't wait to return.

"Came here for the Pink floyd light show. It was welcoming and open. The show was chill and the service was on point. Will be back to see Elvis in December."
"My favorite bbq place for years! I really don't even consider trying anywhere else since I feel nothing can beat it! Also my dad is a champion bbq dude! So it's his house or slows! My favorite is the pulled pork. Also love the Mac and cheese, waffle fries with cheese sauce, pit beans, coleslaw, and bread pudding!Just a wonderful place!"
"Great place for delicious homemade ice cream! We came for lunch and really enjoyed out time. Service by Mia was fantastic. We had 3 little ones and she was patient, helpful, and friendly. She made our lunch so much easier and enjoyable.Started with Grandpa John's chili. I'm always suspect of chili outside of Texas and especially in the northern part of the country, but it was delicious. Great body and a slight kick. Filling but enjoyable. For us the big draw was the fried chicken. They cook it once ordered, so it does take a few minutes and comes out very hot. It is pretty good, but I would not say great. I have to say Lee's crispy chicken is the best I have had in Michigan and probably as good as I have ever had. Next time at Guernsey's I will have to try something else. The little ones enjoyed the chicken tenders (huge!) and the cheeseburger. The best was the glass of fresh Guernsey milk ($3 but so worth it). Some of the freshest tasting milk I can remember. So good! Equally or better was the ice cream. A "baby" scoop is a lot of ice cream and so that is the size we ordered. I highly recommend the French vanilla (so rich and made with vanilla pudding)! Their People Magazine award-winning butter pecan was good, but just ok for me - probably just not my cup of tea. Everyone loved their choices on ice cream. Biggest disappointment was no Orange-Pineapple flavor today! Next time..."
"This was our first time there and everything was great. We will definitely be back. All the food was great. I can't wait to try the cobbler."
"Great food, everything tasted delicious! I've catered here before and everything was packaged well and all items were good. They offer a rewards program which is nice when you're surprised with a discount on your bill. Definitely give them a try you won't be disappointed!"
"This is a clean little hole-in-the-wall, carry out only spot on a stretch of E. Warren Avenue where there aren't a plethora of other fresh options. At the Detroit Pepper Company you KNOW the food is fresh -- in part because it can take about 20 minutes for your order -- but the food is definitely worth the wait.I ordered the stuffed pepper with ground turkey and cheddar cheese. It SMELLED amazing, the FLAVOR was amazing, and it was HUGE -- I got two whole meals out of it. I also got the ginger lemonade and sucked it down.My only "gripe" is that i wish you could have the option of ordering your food "for here" so that you could eat it on the picnic table out front on a real plate with real silverware. But that's such a small thing. In general I highly recommend this business."
"I do a little research and decide hey, this is the place I wanna try today. Will I be back? Hmmmm...The reviews are great so I was excited to try! Great signage and easy to find! Small in and out spot. A few chairs and tall tables for waiting at best. Customer service was good! The woman who took my order was so sweet. I decided to get 2 lunch specials- it was cheaper to go before 3pm- specials are $9 and come with 2 sides. Now, I was highly put off with my bread being in the same ziplock bag as my napkin and fork. That WAS A BIT MUCH FOR ME Rib lunch comes with 3 bones. Good sauce but they're the big bulky ribs. I had 2 good bones and the crunchy end piece. The baked beans taste like canned Bush beans. The Mac n cheese taste like Stouffers with pepper. The greens I didn't touch- they were turnips. The black eyed peas may have been canned too? Idk they were nasty. The pork chop was okay- not the freshest but a typical restaurant tasting chop. If I go again, I'll try the shrimp and BBQ chicken cause everything else was NOT IT for me."
"Nohemi's shredded chicken is the best. We ordered tamales, shredded chicken, mexican rice, refried beans, homemade tortillas and amazing salsa. Everyone at our grad party came back for seconds. Highly recommend"
"I honestly do not have words to describe my experience with Outlaw Smoke BBQ. My friend and I decided to do a little day trip to a few places I've been wanting to explore. One place on my list was Sage Creek Winery in the little town of Memphis about 45 minutes from my house. To our surprise, Outlaw Smoke BBQ food truck was stationed there. We enjoyed our wine tasting, it was still early, and we decided that we needed to eat a little something, as we had dinner reservations later that evening. We overheard others raving about the fantastic food truck outside so we decided to grab a BBQ Brisket Mac & Cheese to split. They had other yummy options such as pulled pork sandwiches, but everyone said the Mac & cheese was a must try. OMG!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!! My facial expression was literally an OMG!!!! Opening up the carry out container the brisket was massively overflowing, smothered in delicious BBQ sauce. I was so impressed by the portion of meat on top, many BBQ places scrimp on the meat, but not Outlaw BBQ. It took us several bites to uncover the creamiest, cheesiest, tastiest mac&cheese I've ever tasted, and that says a lot because I'm a Southern Belle who knows how to whip up a great homemade mac&cheese, but this one definitely put mine to shame. The flavorful outburst of the smoked bbq & creamy cheese made my heart so happy! To be honest, I wanted to cancel our dinner reservations just so we could try the other items on the menu, that's how much I enjoyed my experience. Typically, BBQ is not my first choice when it comes to dining options. Of course I enjoy the flavors, but it's the messiness that usually keeps me away most of the time! I don't like meat in my teeth or sauce on my face so I stay away from ribs...please don't judge me! Lol Lets just say when I got home, I immediately looked up the location of this food truck and to my surprise, they are actually a few miles from my home! OMG!!!!! This is a very dangerous thing for me...Looks like I'm going to be Outlaw BBQs biggest fan! I'm even willing to get messy just to enjoy their amazing food. If you LOVE bbq, this spot is a must try. I promise, you will not be disappointed."
"We love when the Buck-N-Dinks BBQ Truck comes over to the Detroit Arsenal for Food Truck days! I make it a point to come out and get some food when they're here. I tried the sampler (pulled pork sandwich, brisket sandwich and walking taco) for the first visit and it was all really good and very filling. Someone mentioned the chili dog so I tried it on my second visit and really like it! I like the walking taco, the chili is really good and not what I expected from a BBQ truck. The owner and staff are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I usually take a few coworkers to try it out when they come and they've all enjoyed the food as well. Thanks for coming out!"
"Pricey but absolutely worth it. Crunchwrap is great, but I recently came for traditional brunch and it was amazing. My friend got the parfait and it looked exquisite. The Nosh plate is everything you could want on a morning plate: house made biscuit, jammy eggs, bacon, greens, cornichons, pickled onion. Make sure you get a reservation (and order up a seasonal coffee drink--they are so good!)"
"Hero or Villain is my favorite food truck ever. I love them so much I periodically check their schedule and chase them around. A friend posted on social media a food truck schedule for her neighborhood and when I spotted my fav listed, I put the date in my phone so I wouldn't miss out. I always get the Captain Planet because it is flavorful AF and full of veggie goodness. I have tried to replicate it at home because it's just that good. My husband ordered Thor tonight and raves about the bread. Both sandwiches are loaded and delicious. And do not pass up those waffle fries!Love you guys. Thank you for brightening up our Tuesday evening."
"I ate my way though almost the entire menu and it was all incredible. Make sure to try the baklava ice cream, it's a perfect dessert on a hot day."
"I came here for a Wedding reception for my friend. The place had a nice layout for functions. I noticed that there were various rooms and the signage for each were well laid out. There was plenty of room for tables, A bar, Dance Floor, DJ and buffet area. The staff were nice and friendly. The food was great. Especially the Parmesan chicken. Everyone agreed that the food was well prepared although I am not sure that the facilities did this as I am sure it was catered. Overall, I would recommend this place as a hall to have functions."
"Good food. Great spot to pick up thing or two. Good hot prepared foods, desserts, deli, and meat counter. Great wine and alcohol selection. Expensive for groceries, but if you live in the area it's convenience."
"We had our mother's funeral brunch today. Shaun and his staff were great. Shaun was very accommodating with all the variables which come up. He responded quickly to all questions and calls. Staff were friendly, helpful, but professional. The room looked beautiful! Perfect backdrop to any decor. The scrambled eggs with cheese and chives were cooked perfectly, as were the french toast, hash browns, turkey sausage, bacon and ham. The endless fresh fruit, muffins, sweet rolls and stuffed croissants were a perfect finish. We received many compliments. I would highly recommend Tapestry, especially with holiday parties coming up. Thank you, Shaun and staff, for making my mom's memorial brunch a memorable experience!"
"I have been looking for a good soul food spot in Detroit. I don't have to look any further. I tried the deviled eggs, mac n cheese, collard greens, and chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The waffles were alright but not my favorite because there is a added ingredient (that my palate can't name). The deviled eggs had lots of flavor. Mac n cheese and collard greens were both great sides. Overall, the portion sizes were generous and the price was reasonable. I will be back for the fried chicken and to try other menu items. Chef and staff were nice too!"
"This a carry out only restaurant located on the west side of Detroit. They have parking on the sides of building. The decor inside is simple but it goes with their color scheme. I enjoyed my experience here, the service was excellent, fast, and friendly customer service. The food!!! omg!! the food was absolutely amazing the sweet chili wings stole the show, it was crispy and the perfect blend between sweet and spicy. The lamb chops pasta was also very good the chops were tender and had very good taste. The pasta was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back. Please check them out whenever you're in the area or if you want to take the trip, I drove 30 plus minutes and it was worth the drive."
"Ideal for carryout and when you want something quick.EAT is great because it's close to my house and they have fresh farm-to-table items on their menu. While they do have some rotating specials on their menu, they also have sandwiches, salads and desserts that are always on the menu. My go-tos are their menu are:Grilled Tempeh Sandwich - marinated with sesame and teriyaki (I think) and then grilled. It's served with a cucumber slaw, some kind if sauce, and on grilled bread. I like it best with an egg on it (additional charge)Roasted Vegetable salad - Roasted root vegetables tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette and goat cheese - enough for two or more!Chocolate pudding - decadent and flavorfulI wish they had more vegetarian options than just their tempeh sandwich and eggplant sandwich on their menu. I also wish they offered a more substantial vegetarian entree on their rotating menu. It's usually just a pasta dish with some kind of in-season vegetable. I usually skim over that section if nothing really stands out. Fair warning: a lot of their items do sell out so if you're hoping for something and it's later in the day, you might out of luck! The prices are reasonable, but it can add up if you get a lot of items on there. The space itself is very small so while they have some seating in there, it's better to order carry out and pick up the food to take home."
"I tried the lamb w hummus and order of baba ghanoush. All terrific! I would order that every time I came. The staff was hospitable and very nice. I recommend the Levantine Grill."
"Another amazing event pulled off by the wonderful staff at Cranks catering! Cranks catered my wedding at an offsite location for a full service dinner. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Cindi in the front office helped with picking out menu choices and more. She was excellent with communication and made booking the catering a stress free process. John Crank was so helpful too, I had silverwear rentals that I had to drop off before my party and he unloaded my entire car for me, he wouldn't let me lift a finger. Tiffany was our event lead, she called me days before the wedding and confirmed all of my final details which gave me peace of mind. Our venue did not allow vendor access until 12PM, Tiffany and her team pulled off a perfect set up in a very tight time frame. It looked magical. The full catering staff was attentive and friendly. Most importantly the food was incredible, my family and friends were raving about the perfectly grilled filet and passed apps! I wish I had pictures of the food to share. Top management (VP of Cranks) even showed up during the dinner service to make sure everything was running smoothly, this made us feel so special. I will forever use Cranks for every event that I need catered!"
