"Thomas Keller, probably America's most fancy pants chef, said "Burgers are proof that sometimes the simplest things are the most extraordinary." Burgers are the epitome of comfort food, combining juicy patties, melty cheese, and an array of delicious toppings. This is why I love the Grizzle! Solid unpretentious food in a pub setting. Great draft beer. Nice college town atmosphere. I'm not complaining but the only puzzle is....what are cheese curds doing on the menu? Are we in Michigan or Wisconsin? No idea why they are here, but they're delicious!"
"Located adjacent to Third Man Records,we stopped in for lunch with a group of 7. They have picnic style bench seating so it was not a problem finding a place to sit.You order your food at the bar and they bring it to you. They have a nice selection of house beers plus pizza and sandwiches. Gluten free items are available as well as a kids menu.Food was good and service was outstanding. If in the area,a good place to grab a bite or a quick pint. They also have locations in 4 other Michigan towns."
"Blue tractor bbq and brewery located in Ann Arbor hit the spot! We had a relatively Short wait being game day and ruminated on our options and went with a dinner platter to Maximize our food savory options. it was gold, the bbq ribs and pulled pork were flavorful, tender, and mouth watering. our sides were just as good and if you like mac and cheese the cling was great and texture was perfect. the cornbread was just right, that is if you like a more moist bread that doesn't crumble when you put your fork into it. we finished the evening with a birthday special getting a highly recommended ice cream bowl with chocolate chip cookie buried underneath. the icing on the top was having an electric atmosphere at the big house and celebrating another michgan win! go blue! next time you're in Ann Arbor you have to check out Blue tractor bbq and brewery! I can't wait to come back for more!https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0CCoj3rr5D/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA=="
"Incredible food supported by excellent staff and service! Had a great experience while having dinner with friends! The beer is the best! Thank you!"
"Out of town visiting on a Hallmark holiday and this was the place to go for a relaxed dinner out. Good beer, chill environment, and good space to enjoy a winter evening. We tried their bimbap bowls for dinner. Quite Americanized, but it was a clean and good bowl filled with all the essentials. Egg rolls were decent but the filling kept falling out when trying to dip into the sauce. Overall good pick for us. Nice place for a large group gathering. Good seating both for private groups and communal if you're feeling particularly social. Of course also bar seating as well. It's always nice to enjoy local beers while traveling to a new town."
"We tried this place back in August before a show at Mark Ridley's. I really wanted to love it but I just didn't. The pretzel appetizer came with liquid mustard dipping sauce. I asked the waitress if that was typical and she said yes. I've never seen a mustard that is pure liquid before, anywhere. I tried the country grilled cheese as my entree. It sounded amazing on paper but I mostly just picked at it. I loved the idea of it but something just was off for me. I will say that the restaurant graciously took the charge off our bill even though I said it was fine. That was really kind. My boyfriend had the Nashville chicken sandwich. He liked the flavor but said it wasn't very hot. The presentation also left something to be desired. The service was good and they have solid drinks. Just wasn't wowed by the food. Might give it another try next time we are in RO."

A friend had recommended this place during a recent dinner so I was curious to try it. After class recently, I was tired, hungry, and eager to have a bite here. I came in with high expectations because of the recommendation and because this brewpub is an institution. It has been around for as long as I can remember.During the summer (for the last few years at least), the streets have been closed to traffic and restaurants have been able to expand their footprint. On weekends during the summer, in the early afternoon, customers were happily enjoying drinks and eats with friends. I, however, chose to eat indoors to escape the heat. Inside, the atmosphere was dark and cool, a relief from the humidity outdoors.I went with the corn fritters to start. They were battered in beer, a bit overcooked, and served with sriracha crema. They were okay, nothing memorable. For my main, I had the walleye. The meal was massive including 3 big pieces of fish, fries, and slaw. The fish was a bit overcooked, and not as moist as it could be. The fries were also a disappointment, crispy definitely, but not tender on the inside. I ended up not being able to finish either item but also not taking home the leftovers. This, to me, was a sign that I wasn't happy with my meal. Not all was lost. The side salad between the app and the main was refreshing.Service was fine; the bartender was hopping, taking care of customers at the bar, but also helping out with the tables outside.

Right next door to Third Man Records this was a convenient place to stop for lunch. It houses a full service bar as well as a coffee shop/cafe and breakfast and lunch items are served as well as pizza so something for everyone. There are also good vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options here. The vibe was relaxed and fun with large communal tables. The cafe does a lot of take out orders. We enjoyed it.

We were seated immediately upon arriving. Then the wait started, 25 minutes and not a thing. No water, no drinks, no acknowledgment. Was about to leave. I'm sure glad we didn't. Jacob came over and apologized noting there was a mix up(it happens) we got our drink and food order and had our drinks almost immediately after. He then apologized once more for the wait and made sure the first round was on them. Mistakes happen but it's how you take care of them that really matters. The food was absolutely incredible. I'm probably more of a bbq snob than I should be, and am generally disappointed if it's not better than I make at home. I've had bbq all over the country and this place is absolutely in my top 5 on food alone, but the service and taking care of the customer was fantastic as well.

Went here with my daughter and my granddaughter for Father's Day... The food was amazing as it always is. The aquariums filled with esoteric fish and the well-dressed dining room made for an exquisite ambience. The wait staff was well informed and very friendly. All in all it made for an excellent dining choice. I highly recommend the shrimp scampi..

Beef Stroganoff was tasty but the beef was cooked more than I personally prefer. Interesting cheese bread that came on the side but it was good!

Great local place , Always booming! Great for relaxed brunch , or just to grab a drink and chillax . I have been going here time to time for almost 5 years. They have great menu selection, they always have specials . I like how they keep the good stuff on the menu and always improve other things. It's family friendly, it's very welcoming. Service is top Notch, all the waitstaff is friendly. Tonight we had a absolutely outstanding service provided by Dylan , she knows the Menu , both sides and top to bottom. We asked for suggestions and she gave like 3 top things for suggestions, it helped us to make a decision. She was personable, very attentive, fun and went above and beyond. When we talk about service industry and how these days everyone is just expecting to get 20% tip to begin with , .... that's not the case here . Dylan Loves what she does and is exceptional! She deserves nothing less than 30 % and up! She is what brings customers back again and again

When we first arrived, I was pretty impressed by how gorgeous this restaurant is. Repurposed from an old church, Atwater has kept many of the historical features of the building including beautiful stained glass windows throughout. As for the service, I found my waiter to be very attentive and quick, however they warned us that they only had one person in the kitchen. So yes, food did take a while, but at a bar like this it was good time to drink our beers and play games! They have a small arcade in the back near the bathrooms & a machine to make change for the arcade. Now to the food, myself and my partner got the spicy chicken sandwich and while it was delicious- it did not have any spicy flavor or sauce to it- we wondered if they missed our sandwiches in putting some kind of sauce on it? Not sure- but despite this the sandwich was good! - especially the sweet pretzel bun. I see on the menu they have a pretzel appetizer..... if that's anything like this pretzel bun I imagine most customers would really like it!This is also a brewery- so make sure to try their beer! You're probably familiar with their Dirty Blonde, but here they have several atwater brand beers that I've never seen in store. (They also sell their beer to go at a cheaper price than I've seen a liquor stores.) I tried the Fruit Guru and thought it was really good- definitely a must have for those who like a fruity, sweeter beer.Overall- I would recommend this restaurant as a fun and cute place to come. Note that on Tuesdays they have trivia nights, and during warm weather there is a very cute outdoor seating area. This establishment has parking across the street. Expect to pay ~$20-$30 per person.

"I seriously can't get enough of this place! You cannot beat their games, brews, or food. The "Funky Pizza" is literally the best in town.Service is always top notch and phenomenal. You can come here for the day and enjoy pool, bumper pool, darts, golf games, and shuffle board."
"I've been to Atwater in Grosse Pointe Park for trivia nights with people from my high school. It's a nice place to hang out with a nice big outdoor seating and bar area. The building is a former church, and it's beautiful. It would fit right into the world of Harry Potter. Several heaters are available, but they didn't work well when a friend and I tried to sit outside last month. The fun atmosphere and trivia nights make up for some of the mediocre food. The bottom crust of the pizza we ordered was too thin and burned. The Big Ol' Pretzel is better than the pizza. The photo doesn't do it justice. It is humongous, and two orders of the pretzel were enough to split among a dozen people. It comes with beer cheese and dirty blonde mustard. The beer cheese was delicious with the pretzel. I would recommend ordering it as a shared appetizer. Another time I came here with a high school friend, we were never given menus or asked if we wanted to order anything. The waitress was well-meaning and said she didn't want to interrupt our conversation, but after an hour without being asked if we wanted to order anything, we left and went to Cellar 313 for food. Overall, Atwater can be a hit or miss, but it's a good place to gather with friends to have a drink, load up on carbs, and stop by on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. for trivia night."
"I love WAB's chill laid back atmosphere and corner bar feel, great beer, tasty food, and cool music. Their beers are made in house and they have a great rotating tap list and beer is super cheap too! Only $5 for a pint and $7 for a five beer flight sampler that's served on a cool half record flight board. Great music playing too like The Cure, Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, etc. The Space Shake IPA is one of my faves, not too bitter or hoppy and well-balanced with mango and vanilla. Very refreshing and tasty! The food is really good too! They offer a rotating list of sandwiches with shrimp poboy being a summer fave. They also have pizzas, cheese bread, wraps, appetizers, soup, chili, and more. Lots of vegetarian options like Impossible chili, veggie wrap, and veggies with red pepper hummus. Do yourself a favor and order the French Onion soup!!! It's so cheesy and delicious! Love it!! The pizzas are medium sized, around $12-$14, a good size to split with someone. I love the Buffalo Chicken pizza, sooo spicy and yummy!! The cheese bread you can order as a small for $6 or large for $10. It has a blend of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan and garlic butter but was too greasy for me. The caprese salad is one of my faves, so refreshing and tasty for summer with super flavorful balsamic glaze, pesto, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. The churros with ice cream and caramel sauce are also very good. WAB owns the Loving Touch. If you're going to a concert at The Loving Touch you can check in at WAB up to two hours in advance so you can get your wrist band early and avoid lines at the door. The wrist band has a coupon for $5 off your bill at WAB that you can tare off. After the show, your actual wristband also serves for an additional coupon for $5 off food and drinks at The Emory too. Can't beat a deal like that!! I'd recommend getting your beers before the show at WAB as each beer is $5 there but the same beer at The Loving Touch is $9. Service is always really good, fast and friendly. Love WAB. It will definitely be a pre-show Ferndale tradition."
"I've been coming here most 20 years now and it is without a doubt one of my favorites. Out here where there is minimal quality food and drink spots to be able to find both in place is awesome. First the beers, they offer a great range of styles. It's not all IPAs and stouts. I had the Maibock and it was the best one I've ever had. This following his run with Cerveza, a Mexican style lager which was nothing short of exquisite. Food wise I felt obligated to try the pickle pizza because everyone tells me this is a delicacy that must be enjoyed. Obviously it must be girl thing cause while it was good, give me a BLT pizza any day. I've had many of their items on this menu, and they have all been great, including their more traditional pizzas. Whatever the case, if you're looking for good beer and good food and being surrounded by good people this is the place to be."
"Mead mead mead meeeeeead! This place is pretty awesome. There was a total nerd vibe going on! Being from Seattle originally, it has that going for it.All of the drinks we sampled were fantastic. I even liked one with coconut. I HATE COCONUT! My wife was surprised at how much I liked it.Cyser of the Lambs is my favorite. I could drink a gallon of that. Thanks so much for being a new destination each time we come to Michigan."
"I was looking to try different pizza places and 313 Pizza Bar was on my list. Detroit style pizza is in a league of its own and 313 Pizza Bar does a good job of applying that standard. The service was not the quickest, but we went on a Friday night so it was relatively busy and that could attribute to the speed. The pizza did come out quick for a Detroit style and it was cooked well. There was quite a bit of sauce, which is not my favorite, so that could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. We ended up sitting on the small outside patio, which was nice, but there aren't many views. They seem to have an "upper patio" which could get better views, but I am not sure if it is always open.Overall 313 Pizza Bar did not disappoint and we will be back to have some more."
"I enjoyed myself, however it was a little loud for me and a little chaotic. You're not really sure who is waiting on you they kind of do a table share kind of late service which makes it very difficult to pinpoint someone that if you need a refill. The beer is good the atmosphere is good but like I said it's a little bit loud for me."
