"I love this place. I wandered in here with a friend to look for a couple of things for Christmas. They have an excellent selection. They have a whole section of Michigan wines that I haven't been able to find anywhere else which was great because I've been looking. They have a large selection of liquor and beer as well. The prices are a little higher, but because of the selection, I don't mind. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back."
"THE best selection of bourbons on the East Side, period. And Big Tony is one of the most knowledgeable purveyors of that liquid gold you'll ever meet.Pretty good wine selection as well - often featuring a ridiculously low priced special on wine. My wife loved Chardonnay - Toasted Head was $6.99 recently - often "on sale" elsewhere at $9.99 or $10.99 & sometimes as high as $12 or $13.Another cool feature is their howler & growler station, always offering unusual beers not found in cans or bottles. A special store, worth the short drive to St Clair Shores!!"
"This is one of those great local businesses with a friendly owner and helpful and knowledgeable staff. Not only do they have a great selection of wines, they have an impressive liquor collection too. Don't be intimidated by all the choices of wine, they will be happy to help you pick out something in your type & price range. The prices are not outrageous, but in line with the caliber of the wine you are buying. You can splurge if you want to, but you can also get something for everyday without breaking the bank. I did a wine tasting here and I was really impressed with how knowledgable Zack the owner was not only about wine and the different types, but the different regions around the world and the grapes that go into making a wine taste like it does. He also taught us about oak barrels and how that imparts flavor. And finally he shared some of the history of the area which was fun.Definitely go here if you need some wine, liquor or beer!"
"Not your everyday grocery to go to but a must when you're looking for fresh and quality ingredients for home cooking and special occasions.Ready to go meals is a delight to see with your eyes as you walk by their display case - meticulously prepared and stacked by the prepared foods department. Meals priced per pound but really taste good. Roasted chicken is highly recommended to bring home and enjoy for lunch or dinner - left over chicken soup the next day :-) no time or no talent to cook - grab a container of soup, wraps, salads or dressings. Make your own bowl of salad, pasta, side and main dishes - priced per pound as well so choose wisely what you pick and put in a container. Not sure about the taste? You may ask the food handler to try a sample from the display case.wine selections over the top. Wine sommelier approved. Not only wine but also an abundant selection of liquor and non alcoholic beverages are available on display. No idea about wines? You may ask suggestions from the wine experts assigned at this section. Admire the variety of flowers (in pots, bouquet arrangements or individually sold), every day greeting cards and yes! The chocolates from See's, Sanders and high percentage cacao can be seen and purchased. Plum Market is all the way high quality - starting from their produce, the wine, the meat, cheese and deli, hot and cold foods, floral, cafe, apothecary section and educational toys for kids. Known also for selling Zingerman breads and pastries, Atchaz pies and Detroit based coffee company.Aisles are wider, the floors shiny (but slip resistant) and clean, perishable and non perishable items are well organized/categorized. Plum Market team members are very helpful and knowledgeable. Theirs the vibe of "you get what you pay for" customer service. Parking is expansive and free. Expect to see fancy looking automobiles. No valet parking yet :-)The West Bloomfield location is my favorite, next to Bloomfield, Ann Arbor, downtown Detroit and Detroit Metropolitan Airport."
"Nice neighborhood party store with a craft beer room. The guys that manage it are friendly and always helpful if you're looking for a recommendation for a beer or wine. They also have a huge liquor selection and even a great selection of mini bottles of liquor. As dumb as that sounds, I like that because sometimes I want to try something different without buying a full size bottle. A modest selection of snacks, don't go there thinking you're going to put together a meal or even an hor dourve, but chips, crackers, etc., they have it. They are a bit pricier, but you're paying for the convenience of a neighborhood store and the owner operators do need to make a living. I'm happy they're in the neighborhood."
"First and last time in this place. The guy who runs this place is a price gouger. Asked if they had a limited release beer that recently came out and he was trying to charge me literally double what the retail is. I immediately laughed in his face and said "you know that's literally double the retail right?" Giving him a chance to be reasonable...but no. He insisted it's the going price and made up some random story to justify it. I had to say "you are out of your mind. I'll take my chances elsewhere". Literally found it several places for retail price so I am glad I didn't take him for his word. I understand a small up charge if it's a rare find but doubling the price then making up excuses to justify it is just bad business. Lost my trust and my future business."
"Closest place to my house that sells liquor and the prices aren't bad either! They also carry some unique brands and sizes you might not find at other stores. It's also the oldest building around and history alone is a good reason to check it out."
"I cannot say enough about Andy and his store, Wolverine Market. Yes, it is a party store, however, the wine selection rivals just about any wine shop I've been to in quite some time (and I really do enjoy my wine). Andy often gives "taste tests" to his customers who are looking to try something new. His expansive knowledge of wine along with natural ability to provide good customer service creates a great wine buying experience."
"This place is a Downriver gem. My family has been going for those delicious burgers since the '80s. Now I bring my kids. The food is always on point. The staff is always kind and helpful. There games for the kids. Family friendly and the best burgers in the area."
"It is nice to have a small neighborhood business just arround the corner! I am so fortunate to have one in my neighborhood. Lions is a wonderful little grocery/wine shop that has just about everything you could possibly want, or need. It is always clean, the shelves are stocked, and the selection of wine is remarkable, considering the size of the shop.I am also impressed with the owner, Sam, and his enployees, they are al upbeat, helpful, and all have a great sense of humor. They are always willing to go that extra mile if you need it, There have been times when I have needed groceries delivered, and they don't deliver, but Sam would make an exception for me and deliver them to my home, It is difficult in this day and age to find a gem like Lions. They also have a deli with hot, or cold sandwiches, AND delicious salads and pizza. Thanks, Sam and staff! Don't know what I'd do without you. Hope you're here forever. K."
"They do a great job here and really care. Food is always good, service is good, never been disappointed. It's a little pricey, but compared to the dump that is Sagebrush now, this place kicks the crap out of them all day.Baja fish tacos and asada burrito are our go tos, but they have many other delicious items as well and tons of meats to choose from."
"Wow. I moved to Detroit in April and was still looking for something akin to Spec's or Total Wine like they have in Texas. How does a small neighborhood grocery manage to have an incredible liquor, liqueur, wine, beer, cider, gifts and accurements, grocery, frozen section, produce, and a deli counter? It is a marvel. It is like a "urban Spec's I guess because they have all the things, just in a smaller footprint. And this might be they have almost every variety of liqueur except pear, or several top gins, but not Citadelle. So, I'm still on the lookout for the store with pear liqueur but can get mostly everything I need here, including wine from my favorite winery in France. Highly recommend."

I was here for a tasting and I really enjoyed the experience. The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and funny. Despite how knowledgable he is it never comes off as intimidating in any way. It seems that he truly enjoys talking to people about wine and helping them discover their likes. This is the type of business you can't help but want to support. Will definitely stop by for a couple of bottles whenever I am in the area.

So, there I am, driving home, rocking out to some tunes, windows down, when all of a sudden I realize I've forgotten the wine. So, I find a quaint little store on Charlevoix and hop on in. Suddenly, I'm wondering how this gem of a party store alluded me?Located in Grosse Pointe on Charlevoix and Warren Avenue Park Liquor is the place to go if you're looking to pick up a bottle of wine or some brews that will delight your guests(or put a smile on your face).Selling domestic beers, snacks, cigarettes and all that jazz, Park Liquor quickly made a warm spot in my heart when I stepped into eh back room of their joint. A little hesitant at first, I was pleased to find that this store stocks an interesting variety of imported and microbrewed beers. I wouldn't dub myself a beer aficionado, but I'm pretty knowledgeable. Park Liquor and the staff managed to introduce me to some new and tasty brews all for a great price. If your looking to grab some chips or expand your horizons beer wise check out Park Liquor, the unassuming party store resting on Charlevoix.

Stopped in looking for Heineken OO non alcoholic beer. Purchased 2 six packs. 24 bucks plus tax seemed expensive. Checked price on line on my return home. 7-8 bucks sold around Novi compared to 12 bucks here. Won't be a return customer. I didn't even get an itemized receipt. He just rang up $24.00

Awesome place! Great selection and excellent management. This is the party store to see and be seen in. Excellent wine selection, great liquor and beer and the owner will help with selection and do special ordering.Affectionately known to locals as Wolvo's thisplace is connected to other Markets in Marysville, but this location is the coolest.Andy is a trained sommelier, so he knows his wines. Very nice selection of Scotches and they do wine beer and liquor tastings. Good selection of microbrews and imports. If you're in the area and looking to imbibe on your own time, stop here and find some good stuff.

"I was driving home on a snowy Saturday afternoon when I passed the recently opened Old Woodward Cellar. It has such a warm and inviting storefront with big windows that show all the wine in the shop that I couldn't help but stop in to visit. The owners Nick and Gina were very welcoming and I was able to sample a variety of cabernet sauvignon. There was also a gentleman who had brought a bottle of 2008 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon and I was the lucky recipient of a taste. I've never had 36 year old wine and it was delicious! The store itself is very open with a beautiful climate controlled wine cellar for the reserve wines. There are also a variety of wines to choose from and Nick is quite knowledgeable about his inventory. There is also a separate tasting room. I ended up buying a bottle of champagne and will be definitely be back especially since I can walk to the store."
"Papa Joes market is my favorite markets. It's always clean and has friendly staff with a upscale gourmet to go counter and homemade soups along with a bakery with homemade breads and a dessert section to die for.Store pickup or in home delivery is available and they will handle your shopping for you. They even clean out and restock your refrigerator!I love the fresh produce and sauce section that has hard to find sauces and spices."
"We expected food trucks, but I think because it's late in the season (i.e. normally cold), food was served from the indoor kitchen. But we weren't disappointed! We sat outside on the patio, because it was a balmy fall night, and we thoroughly enjoyed the setting while chowing down on some delicious food! Between us, we got three different types of sliders, garlic Romano fries, Cajun-seasoned soft pretzels, jerk chicken tacos, and sweet potato black bean tacos. Yum, yum, yum! Hubby also ordered a drink - a tequila sunrise - and it was well made. For the three of us, with drinks, the total was $50ish plus tip. I feel like that's a pretty good deal. I could see this being an absolute riot in the warmer months. We shall return."
"This is a party store that is located down the street from my job and is a super popular lunch time foods. In addition to a deli ( that also serve various pasta salads), they have an abundance of hot foods. From 8 various pizza slices (pepperoni is the best, also love their pepperoni, sausage n onion) that are some of the best in the area ( I would put it second to NYPD) . They also have great meat and spinach pies, jambalaya (really good), Mac n cheese, big baked chicken legs, etc. this store probably have 10 plus hot food selections. I highly recommend this place."
"Friendly people. Huge selection of beer, wine, liquor, & mixers. Whatever you need, they probably have it. Prices are reasonable. We stopped here to buy Dogfish 90. & guess what? They had it! Yes!"
"You know what I like in a wine shop? Wine. A shop full of wine. It's May 12 and Red Wagon was open. I walked right in. Forget the new normal. I like people and I wanted to browse before I selected. When have you ever been in a packed wine shop? It doesn't really happen. I was a lone wolf haunting the aisles mask in place. I bought one for the night and one for my daughters up coming birthday because I was there, they were open, small Michigan business deserve my business, it's hard out there for a bitch, their prices are on point. Support Michigan support your neighbors and their families. We don't need the man. The man needs us. Michigan strong. #smallbusiness #supportlocalandlow"
"Solid 4 here. It's definitely above average for a chain and a nice environment, especially if you want to watch sports on the televisions. But otherwise it's a nice place to meet with friends and have some casual dining.Their version of chicken wings are very tasty, and the crabcakes were delectable that came as part of the appetizers. The surf and turf is definitely above average but does not compare to a specialized steak place that has its signature cuts. And for some reason, they lump crabcakes that come with the surf and turf meal were a bit too salty. The chicken dishes were savory and succulent ! And the organic salmon was excellent.Overall quite good and the service was quick and attentive."
"Shopping in here makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. Or an imbiber in a really, really well-stocked liquor store, you decide. The wall of liquor behind the counter is a thing of beauty. It seems they have every single bottle of liquor you could ever want. I was especially impressed with the whiskey selection. The employees were helpful in suggesting a bottle for a friend after I gave a few details. Prices are Michigan minimums. In addition to liquor, Mac's has an exhaustive selection of craft beers, snacks and soft drinks. The store was very clean. If you need anything found at a party store, stop into Mac's for the best selection and friendliest service."
"The service is what separates this restaurant from others in this area - especially our server Kristin!"
"Omg their food is so good!! This is the 2nd order from them and it did not disappoint. Smothered pork chops were so good. Only thing I can complain about is the collards...I forgot to order them again!!! Next time!!!"
"This place has it all! That's it....that's all you need to know really. If you are looking for something unique, stop in here, they'll have it!Good prices, and friendly service to boot!Huge Fan!"
"I went to this liquor store not only because I just Knew they'd have what I was looking for but the manager and staff are so friendly and helpful, it's always a pleasure to stop in. I was looking for my newest "love" of Blackberry Crown Royal for NYE and sure enough they had several in stock. As well as many other very popular brands plus newer items like Smirnoff Tamarind Spice vodka, which the manager said is good "in a Bloody Mary or even on the rocks." I was tempted to purchase but frugality got the best of me. I browsed other aisles and they have So many different flavors and products that I was amazed. If you need something out of the ordinary I would be surprised if you couldn't find it here. I'm telling you, you have to come check this small but mighty local business, almost tucked away into a neighborhood. Customer service is top rate. I regret not remembering or asking the manager's name for proper kudos, but he makes you feel like a friend when you walk in the door."
"I came in here one day after the gym so I could get me a Chocolate Milk refuel. I had never been here before, but I pass it all the time. I decided to stop in cause I figured every liquor store has a small grocery section. When I walked in here I was kind of surprised! They have a HUGE selection! They have soda, water, chocolate milk. They sell basic groceries like eggs, cheese and I believe I seen some lunchmeat, but I'm not 100% on that. I think they sell food too, but by the time I got there (5 minutes til close) it was all shut down. I really didn't pay too much attention because I was just trying to get in and out so they could close. They do sell beer, wine, and liquor though and their selection seems pretty vast. I definitely wanna swing back in here and check it out. I hate going to Rite Aid when I need liquor - Heartland and Kroger don't sell any - so this could be my new go-to! Stop in! The old man that was working when I stopped in was very nice and helpful - pointed out the chocolate milk to me when I couldn't find any. :)"
"The ideal liquor store. When I'm in the area I pick up my liquor here. Positives: + Stocked and ready to rock!! Large variety of beers, wines, and spirits.+ Knowledgeable & Helpful Staff. First visit here I wanted Michigan wine. My other visits were to grab local craft beer. They pointed me to them. They also have no problem letting you know what their favorite in stock beers are. Win!+ Clean & clear aisles. Been to some where you have to dodge boxes.+ Supporting Local. Good to see this establishment carry a lot of local Michigan brews and wines. Kickstand, Griffin Claw and Drafting Table to name a few. Will stop by again soon(probably before the 4th of July)."
"In the area, this store cannot be beat. They are insanely friendly here. I was pondering over a purchase and the man behind the counter looked up recipes for me! They special ordered cucumber vodka for me, cola flavored vodka, they even told me I if I got the leter vs. the fifth I would only be spending a few dollars more-sold! I have special ordered sooo many items. There selections is great, do not get me wrong. Three olives, stoli, ghost heat, belevedere, absoloute, burnetts, cupcake, pinnicle...you name it! From the vodka in a fire extinguisher to the new booze infused whipped cream. They have shelves where you can browse....and more behind the cooler. They are the best selection of craft beers in the area. Nice wine selection from around the world. Not only good booze, but good for food as well.Bonus, they sell boarshead deli meats. People seem to love thier pizza. They bring in meat and cheese pies from Steve's Backroom. Good selection of chips and candy. Pierino pasta and sauce in the freezer.Great selection of mixers and they carry my okf aloe drink. They always remember you, will help you carry stuff to the car, introduce you to new products, recommend adding a mixer that they found enjoyable....all around great place."
"Good food. Good service. Good staff. We had a Rueben, French onion soup, fried mushrooms, Mac-n-cheese and fish & chips. All scrumptious and warming on a chilly evening. The leftovers were just as good, too."
"This store was recommended by several people in White Lake... this grocery has local foods, delicacies, lots of variety! Glad to be here! Our tale of woe: We tried a few places to find ham hocks... no luck- so frustrating! But several shoppers in those other stores told us to come here! Our local friend had never come-- hmm- top secret location? So of course we called first, and a nice store employee looked for us- Yes they had some. Great customer service, nice store. Big Thanks- Now we can make U.S. Senate Bean Soup. A new taste thrill for me! I do love trying new soups. I love finding great grocery stores!!"
"Best party/liquor store hands down! You need it they have it no matter what it is or where it's from! This place has been here forever. I grew up going to this store when it was a Quick-Pik way back when! The owners and employees are soooooooo friendly and can answer any questions you have about liquor wine or cigars. I have asked on all points and never ever been let down. This place is a party goers mecca! You want to bring something different to a bbq or surprise someone with a unique bottle of booze go here!!I love every little darn thing about this place!!"
"A great addition to the community, run by a fantastic family. The addition of Buscemis and hopefully a full deli soon (keeping my fingers crossed), and the cigar humidor have been great added touches!"
"Also wanted to add that this family run store has added a small section of food, toiletries and cleaning supplies to help us all in these trying times. Was much easier to run in here for a short list of stuff instead of going to the large grocery stores. I would give them ten stars if I could."
"The store is clean and bright. The selection is far and away better than anything else in the area, and the employees are unusually friendly. If you go with any regularity (is this review making me sound like an alcoholic), you'll meet the proprietor, Mo, who is about one of the most helpful and humble purveyors of spirits you'll ever meet. One time, on a particularly large order, he helped me carry all my items out to my car (despite having other customers in the store). They're a big promoter of local Michigan businesses, so you can find some of Ferndale's Finest (such as B. Nektar Mead) at good prices. Speaking of prices, they're the best around.Mo is also a big one on having specialty items, so you'll find the top of the top shelf here, along with a bunch of small and craft produced items you've probably never seen before. If he doesn't have it, he'll get it for you. He's just that kind of guy.TLDR: Rave review for a liquor store. Say Hi to Mo."
"I tried those tri tip steaks tonight... omg not sure if worth the price, however delightfully delicious!I'll be back ; )"
"Convenient corner store selling wine, beer, pizza, dell, sandwiches etc. Quick eats and drinks for boaters and visitors alike. Friendly staff."
