Adam S. "Open late in Royal Oak, and with the space fully decked out for the Christmas season, we swung by at 9pm on a Wednesday evening and it was poppin. While the menu on their website needs updating (they don't have shrimp tacos or chicken tacos any longer, but have added many other fun options), overall the food was decent and tasty. We got the Buffalo Cauliflower- solid, delicious, and a good portion size - to start. For our meals, we got the impossible burger, the vegan Korean style "beef" burger, and the impossible chorizo nachos. All were good, but nothing really stood out to us by any means. My partner got a beer, which he really enjoyed. They have an extensive beer menu and among them, a selection of Christmas brews. I got the margarita with cranberry puree on the cocktail menu, which wasn't too sweet yet boozy and balanced. I definitely recommend the buffalo cauliflower... However, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was consistently away for periods of time , usually wrapping silverware in the back. When I asked for the paper towels to be refilled in the men's restroom, multiple times to different staff, they were never refilled through the entirety of our visit of over an hour and a half. While we were able to get seated quickly upon arriving, I hear rumors of long wait times at other points in the week, so be ready to be patient. That said, it's still a good spot for a late evening meal in Royal Oak, so I'd definitely go back for another visit."

Fine; nothing of note.F&B. Tasty, but overpriced.Of note. Street parking. Loos clean and stocked. Captions say more.Overall, I would go if others go, but not too thrilled."

L D. "Got the Snow White & Neighbour's Favourite (+ red sauce), pretty amazing. Loved how soft and fluffy the bread was with the taste of the wood fire oven; the cheese and toppings went really well with the Alfredo and roasted garlic oil sauces. Also, loved the fried burrata, rosemary bread and homemade pesto, just top notch. Can't wait to try the other pizzas and eat in next time, the atmosphere inside is great!"

Jenny H. "Pretty disappointed with the overall experience yesterday. It was way too loud and so I was unable to hear or chat with my friends without having to yell across the table to one another. My friend had asked to move to another side of the room where the tv wasn't on so loud and where a big party wasn't present, but he was ignored. On top of that, the service was very slow. We had to wait a long time for our food to come out and for our water to be refilled. When the food finally came out, it tasted extremely bland. I thought asking for extra sauce would fix my pasta, but instead - it turned into pasta soup. Unfortunately, my friends and I do not plan on coming back any time soon."

Enn Q. "Dawn!Need I say more?I don't think I've ever had a server give me a password as quickly and kindly as Dawn did-its usually a shrug or a nod in the direction of the #sign. I wanted to look something up, and when she hit me with it's #allaboutthebush, I cracked up. I had to thank her for that because it really made my day. We had mutual interests, and chatted for a bit, and she was so patient. My friend is a regular, and recommended the perch, so we went with that.He ordered the dinner (5pc), I got the lunch (3pc), both sauteed. His meal Included the lobster this when it came to the table, he asked me right away if I wanted to try it. Well, of course, I did...and it was absolutely out of this world! Just the best lobster bisque I have ever had. Lots of lobster. So, again, Dawn, who was never far away, came over and immediately got the order taken care of and brought me my soup in less time than it takes to say, "No soup for you!".This was a #FirstEncounterOfTheDateKind, and we were there awhile. We never felt rushed, drinks were refreshed promptly, orders delivered quickly, and all in all a 5 experience. The red skin taters were a nice add to the dinner.Now... one thing reviewers don't like: having to give feedback on a dish they're not particularly fond of...as a Michigander, I've been a #PerchAndPickerel fan forever. I've never had perch sauteed. I won't again. It def needed SOMETHING spicewise. I tried drowning it in lemon to no avail. I don't "do" tartar sauce, so that's on me. I do limited gluten, BUT, since the perch is a fave, I would def try it the next time, but breaded and fried. No shade! It was such a pleasant experience (Dawn, again) I'ma ask my dance buddies from the Community Center why no one ever mentioned it!I'm flumoxxed, but full. Thanks for a gr8 dining experience. This place is VERY family friendly. Lots of incredibly well mannered children- way to go parents! There's corn hole and horse shoes outside, too.Oh, in case you forget the WiFi PW, look at their shirts!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5"

Becki B. "Young boys can be quite picky, but the Old Detroit Burger Bar has made it to the list of placed our son will request, and I can't say I'm sorry.I've recently discovered the steak bites (probably an appetizer, but I have them for dinner), and my son always gets a burger. I've tried several of their drinks and enjoyed them all as well. While the food is good, I've got to admit that another draw to this particular location for my son is the arcade. He loves playing Miss PacMan til our meals are ready.Definitely an enjoyable place for a low-key family dinner."

Courtney L. "Cute spot to watch a game! Bugsy's is very low-key and giving dive bar prices (very budget friendly) but definitely a step up and doesn't feel as grimey as a dive (I was comfortable eating out their kitchen lol!). Speaking of kitchen, the wings are so good! Note that you can only get 1 flavor when ordering 10 wings but can get up to 2 flavors when ordering 20 wings. Garlic Parmesan and House Mild Buffalo were the best of the 3 flavors (Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ is the 3rd flavor), but I did wish there was truly a HOT flavor. The wings were good though and rather small in size so I easily ate a 10 piece and wasn't overly stuffed; if you have a larger appetite then you may wanna order a 20 piece minimum. Also, if you like saucier wings then pay the additional $0.50 for them to be double dipped. Cajun fries were the perfect pairing but pass on the Cole Slaw (I was trying to be balanced & healthy but it wasn't good).Plenty of TVs all over the place along with large tables perfect for groups & plenty of bar seating so perfect to watch a game. There's a parking lot on the side of building with free parking too. There was only 1 bartender working who managed both the bar and tables, and she did a very efficient time making sure all guests were tended too in a timely manner. Oh and did I mention they have a board with a long list of daily drink specials that will pique your interest (on Mondays you can get Liquid Marijuana for $6!). Can't wait to return to try my wings double dipped!"

Greg G. "We attended a Yelp! Event at the amazing downtown Elephant & Co. This was one of my favorite events of the past year.We arrived early and got to check out the super unique space. When we got in we were given wrist bands to self-pour beer from the Disneyesque automated taps. We found a very nice table in the back and enjoyed the cool elephant themed decor. After finding our seats, we grabbed a couple of slices of the deep dish cheese bread with marinara and ranch. We headed to the bar in the back and the bartender poured us a refreshing vodka gimlet. Through the night we tried an Elote (Mexican street corn) pizza, which was good, but very rich. We had an amazing slice of goat cheese, hot honey, fig and carmelized onion pizza; this is a must try. Also, we had the Honolulu blue, which had ham, bacon, pineapple, onion and barbecue sauce. This was another amazing slice of pizza. For beers, we tried some interesting selections. We tried a raspberry sour, that was pretty nice and refreshing. We had a flannel stout that tasted like s'mores. A butterfly beer that tasted like pea flower, not my favorite, but still interesting. Our favorite beer of the night was the Ferndale Project Powdered sugar apple Paczki lager. It smelled just like apple filling and was super light and refreshing. We really enjoyed our night at Elephant & Co. we will definitely be bringing friends back soon."

There is very nice outdoor seating and I have to mention that the bathrooms were updated well and they are cared for. I have ordered mostly apps, burgers and the fish and chips! I really do enjoy the fish and chips with the crispiness and the generous portion and what seems like homemade tartar sauce! Very good! the onion rings are fried to perfection and the pretzel nuggz are a nice shareable. The burgers are very good! Juicy, flavorful and many ways to order with different cheeses and various toppings. Each time I have visited Hopcat, the service has been splendid! I have also brought a large group and the service did not suffer, it was quite efficient. I will continue to return here. It's very pleasant."

Kaylee L. "The food here is absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are huge! I got an ahi tuna wrap with fries instead of chips. I ordered the tuna medium rare and it went very well with the citrus slaw and chipotle ranch. It also came with a teriyaki ginger sauce for dipping! The spinach artichoke dip is so good that sometimes my friends and I will get two orders of it! The flour tortilla chips have the perfect crunch and don't break when you try to dip them."
