"I moved into southfield and wanted to find a local bar that wasn't Fridays or starters.. so I had to head west a little. Great hole in the wall. It's 5 stars for a dive bar. Don't expect servers or a high end menu. Still a fun a place with darts, pool, arcade games, juke box. Chili was good, I'll try the burger next."
"Bomb bunch! I hadn't tried The Emory before and I have no idea why! We went for brunch and everything was absolutely delicious and the service is so nice! The Winter Bod Bowl was jam packed with tasty things and only $13.00! Crispy truffle roasted potatoes, melty cheddar cheese, sweet caramelized onions, bacon, and two eggs how you like"
"Great food and drink! Excellent gluten free menu and gluten free options. Well worth the stop."
"My wife and I went to the Sugar House on 2/22/25 for some delicious cocktails before her birthday dinner at another establishment. The "Model T" on the new cocktail menu is . Every time I've been to the Sugar House it's been busy so reservations are recommended, especially on the weekend. We had such a good time while we were there that we signed up for the Mixology 101 on the following Saturday. I'm hoping to learn some skills so I can entertain friends and family at home. They also offer other classes that are specific to a particular type of spirit so if you're interested, details and upcoming dates are available on their social accounts."
"Easy access to the brewery on bike from the D-Cut. The Pineapple IPA is a must have. If you arrive during the warmer months there is plenty of outdoor seating. A limited menu is available for food."
"Large menu for pub grub. Nice, clean, open ambiance with plenty of tv's if that is what you're looking for. Was there with a party of 20, and had 1 server, and she rocked it! Since I wasn't paying, I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, the Delmonico steak. Yes, it's a risk ordering a steak, let alone a Delmonico, from a bar, but I took the leap. For $20 I was very satisfied with my steak, it was cooked to perfection, and they let me get their house mac-n-cheese instead of potatoes, which was also delicious. It was cheesy & garlicky and very satisfying. I did not order an alcoholic beverage, but those who did enjoyed their craft beers, mules and house wine with no complaints. The price of everything is very reasonable, and the service is spot on. Great job Stevo's!"
"I'll tease you with this lead in - I did not have a salad!!! For those who might follow me, I don't recall ever writing about a restaurant where I did not order a salad. I think once I ordered chicken at OG - but I had already reviewed that place when I suffered through a pathetic salad so I didn't write about the chicken.Anyways, I was meeting close friends from work who live all over Ohio. There were plans to go to Copper Moon afterwards so that's how we ended up here - convenient location. I could not do Copper Moon but still came for lunch. It was a Saturday but there were plenty of empty tables to pick from. There were 6 of us and we were seated right away. I ordered a Diet Coke and the waitress did a fantastic job of keeping refills coming. She was very sweet and did an excellent job overall. Fortunately, I had scoped out the menu online to see what salads were offered. I was rather shocked at the pricing of a basic salad with no protein. To add the protein put the sticker price at almost $20. While I love my friends, it wasn't worth it to drop that much on a simple lunch. I've had to do that too much recently during the week for business, so I looked for other options. While I am NOT a soup person, I was lucky they had chili. I normally avoid meat but I was OK with a bowl of chili which also had beans, tomatoes and I opted for onions and cheese - no sour cream. There serving was generous and flavorful. I could have gone with a lot more heat (temperature and spice), but it was just fine. Perfect for a chilly fall day.I almost always remember to grab a pic of my food, and often all food brought to the table, but the joy of being with these friends made me overlook the photo op. Would I eat here again? Probably not. I'd likely want to try something new and we only return to favorites. And being 2.5 hours away from home, it is highly unlikely I'll ever be back. However, it was a perfect place for our group and the service was just great!!"
"Young boys can be quite picky, but the Old Detroit Burger Bar has made it to the list of placed our son will request, and I can't say I'm sorry.I've recently discovered the steak bites (probably an appetizer, but I have them for dinner), and my son always gets a burger. I've tried several of their drinks and enjoyed them all as well. While the food is good, I've got to admit that another draw to this particular location for my son is the arcade. He loves playing Miss PacMan til our meals are ready.Definitely an enjoyable place for a low-key family dinner."
"Enjoyed this stunning salmon burger that was obviously homemade Delicious and very satisfying. Service was superb and atmosphere lovely. Four stars as the non-alcoholic Stella's was far overpriced at $8."
"Got the Snow White & Neighbour's Favourite (+ red sauce), pretty amazing. Loved how soft and fluffy the bread was with the taste of the wood fire oven; the cheese and toppings went really well with the Alfredo and roasted garlic oil sauces. Also, loved the fried burrata, rosemary bread and homemade pesto, just top notch. Can't wait to try the other pizzas and eat in next time, the atmosphere inside is great!"
"I love kombucha. It's just such a healthier option than going to a bar. I've been to unity vibrations a number of times. Each time is always more delightful than the last so I figured that the rest of the world should know how amazing they are with this review They keep a selection of kombucha teas and beers on tap and the flavors are outstanding. This time I did a flight and they were all delicious. I especially like the ones with ginger. The usually have a band playing the weekends and it's a really chill atmosphere. This is a great place to bring someone who might be visiting the area. They sell these kombuchas in stores around Michigan. Check out the website sometime and stop by!"
"Great place ,new owners ,thanks god they let all the old employees go and all the old ppl the review ...go and get a life ..."

Local(to us) bar. Full bar, small menu, but tasty! Two pool tables, digital jukebox, some video poker and such. Fast service, welcoming bar staff. Would go back for the pastrami sandwich! Try it, you might like it!

My friends and I decided to meet for brunch in a neutral location, and all agreed to try The Emory. I love the Ferndale area, so I was excited to try the restaurant. There were a few menu items that caught my eye, but I decided to go with a side order of the Truffle Fries, and the Spicy Boi Bowl w/ an English Muffin. The food was really appetizing to me, and my friends also enjoyed their food as well. The only concern that we had was the overall service. Our waitress did not come to our table for almost 15 minutes to take our orders. After we ordered our drinks and food, we did not receive the drinks until about 20 minutes later, and one of my friends went to talk to (I believe it was the manager, a lady that was serving drinks behind the bar and was told that there were only two waiters trying to serve the entire restaurant). Our food came out shortly afterwards, and again, the food was really good. But we had to keep asking for water refills, extra napkins, and butter and jelly for our toast. We went on a Sunday afternoon, around 1:30 pm. I wouldn't mind going back to try other menu options at the restaurant, bc it's nice vibe, and I love the location. I would just hope next time the service is more efficient.

A very nice, quiet place to enjoy some good wine with friends. The wine list was very good and the craft beer list was good as well. The appetizers were excellent. We had the guac and the goat cheese spread. We also had main course items--burger, seafood cake, and ribs. They were fine but I suspect the wine and apps are the real stars here (a charcuterie board would be awesome). The interior is very nice. Different from the average Waterford restaurant. I'll definitely be going back. I'd like to run through the entire appetizer list, because what we tried first was fantastic! A much, much needed addition to Waterford.

On a visit to Detroit this weekend, my dear friends decided to take me to Sugar House. They spoke about the quality and variety of the cocktails at Sugar House. I did a quick search on Yelp to see what SH was about and was pleasantly surprised and excited about my visit. It was a rainy day, so it was a great place to go with good friends. My friends did tell me we would be lucky if we got a spot because it is a popular spot. We got lucky and got a table. The vibe was cool. The music was great. The interior decorations were different, but definitely went with a speakeasy vibe. They had cocktails for all type of drinkers and non-drinkers. They had drinks for people like gin, chartreuse, rum, bourbon, and vodka. I initially picked a drink from one of theme artist drinks because it had chartreuse. I chose the Very Superstitious. It was nice and very tasty. Due to my love of chartreuse and not being able to get a lot of cocktails with chartreuse, I also picked the Champs Elysees cocktail. It was light and refreshing. I would definitely go back to Sugar House for the vibes, the drinks, and overall experience. The cocktails were priced fairly and they're over 70 options choose from. This is a must visit when visiting Detroit.

Eastern Market Brewing is a great spot to grab some Detroit themed brews in Eastern Market. There is plenty of seating available, inside and out. Little fire pits to keep you warm on a chilly day. There are to-go options if you are unable to dine in. The employees were friendly & upbeat. Give Eastern Market Brewing a try!

Lucky's was closed so we came here. Around the holidays we had a $100 carry out. It was a snowy night and 2 girls ran the order to the car. I wish I had extra cash to tip them, they were so nice. I ordered the mozzarella sticks and the shrimp Alfredo. The appetizers and shrimp Alfredo was amazing. The nachos are to die for. When I'm in the area again I'll come back to try more pasta.

Been here many times and always enjoyed it. Their food, drinks, and service are all great. I haven't had one thing here I didn't like. My normal go-to are salad's here because they are huge and their pizza. The environment is relaxed and clean. Their patio is dog friendly and they even have a fire pit (I guess that fits the name). I'll definitely be returning!

We ordered carry-out lunch today through their easy-to-use online system and our order was perfect! The food was hot, tasted great, and they don't skimp on either the size of the burger or sides. Pick- up was easy and the food was fresh!

"Walking around in Eastern Market with my brother and as we were walking pass, the bartenders began waving and greeting us. It was not our intention to stop but because they were so pleasant we popped in. Very nice atmosphere and very welcoming. They brew in house and you can see the tanks lined up in the back of the bar. Now, here's the thing.... I'm not a beer drinker. BUT not scared to try different things. The bartenders offered us free samples of the beers on tap. Out of the three that I tried, my fav was the Dunkel and my leaf fav was the Witches hat. The witches hat has a coffee smell and aftertaste to it which I couldn't get with and the porter reminded me of soy sauce. But hey, to each it's own. Stop in and have a good time! They have live bands that perform on a regular basis! During the weekend is the best time to go if you want to be among the crowd!"
"First time here but was recommended by a friend who is a local. We sat on the deck for dinner and drinks. It was awesome Some of us had pizza which was delicious. Some had perch and they said it was very fgood. Prices not bad at all. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Receipt says Torrey. We would for sure go back. Big menu"
"Love this place. They used to be at Big Beaver and Dequindre. The best food. We have been patrons for 48 years. Wonderful family."
"Fab food friendly service thank you for opening in Pontiac best wishes great craft sodas burgers are huge"
"Re-newed dive bar with decent cocktails and happy hour till 7. Comfy seating old bar stools pool table - everything you need for a great dive bar experience."
"The service was terrific, very attentive. Loved the feeling and vibe in the restaurant. My family loved the Mac and cheese. I thought the 1/2 rack of ribs was super flavorful, and they give you a variety of sauces my fav was spicy , followed by sweet. The sides that I ordered were coleslaw... which was good, and waffle fries which were cold and too crunchy and hard to eat..so that was disappointing but the mini corn bread definitely made up for that. Over all wonderful dinner."
"Great food, the polish sausage plate is authentic. Happy hour deals are great. Beer selection is eclectic and good. Service is great. Check the hours because they are closed some days. There is an outdoor deck and bar area."
"Absolutely loved the atmosphere - intimate red leather booths, tons of stained glass, not too crowded, an amazing King Crab special and drink selections...will be back soon!"
"Update: collect is OPEN (on 1/21/21) and have a great rooftop open all winter. Kyle and Lea have done a great job making their rooftop covid friendly with individual "dugouts" with heaters. It is very comfortable and cozy to enjoy a nice beer even on a cold evening! The beer selection is always stellar and it is nice being able to order Bunny Bunny (the restaurant below) and bring it to the rooftop. I love coming here- the owners make everyone feel like family!"
"Got the cheeseburger and the kids cheeseburger. They are made with beef and pork belly, an interesting mix. The flavor was neutral. Not too fatty despite the pork belly, not too salty, not too oily. However there were areas that were cooked a little too thoroughly and burned as a consequence. The chips are house made and bbq flavored, again appreciated due to its light taste and not too oily/sweet. Fries are small and non-crispy, just ok. Atmosphere is nice. Service was ok but the waitress clearly was busy with many tables besides ours, which was ok. Kid cheeseburger is 1/2 size of main cheeseburger, which was $19. I don't think it was worth $19 however given the the atmosphere and location can understand it."
"Came in for the Michigan game. Great game watching atmosphere. TVs all around. Sound up. I ordered chili and a side salad. Boyfriend got the steak quesadilla and Cajun fries. Zero complaints. Everything was great. Beer selection that would please anyone. This is our second time here and we will come back. Next on my list to try: pizza, chicken tenders, chicken tortilla soup, and the smash burger."
"This place is pretty decent American Chinese Food. It's one of the only ones in the area so the location is kind of a go to for anybody that lives in a 5 mile radius. The prices are a bit high for some of the items but give them the location. I'm sure rent isn't cheap. So my go to here are usually the shrimp fried rice or the chicken fried rice. The baby shrimp fried rice, and particular is well-made, and I usually get a quart, which is about 16 bucks, which is a lot for rice, and a few shrimp when you think about it, but when you had a long day at work, and you don't feel like cooking, well, it fills you up and does so in a tasty fashion. The chicken fried rice is good but you don't really get as much balance of flavor as you do with the shrimp making a significant impact in contrast to the rice where as we are now chicken takes on the flavor of whatever it's cooked in the other item on the menu that I would recommend is the sweet and sour chicken. The sizes are pretty good it's deep fried and with a pint of white rice. The one item I will not recommend is the orange chicken because it is literally all bread and the chicken is so chewy that it's barely edible. I ordered it once and since that experience would not ordered again. This place is good for to go and usually has your order ready within 20 minutes or so which is always a bonus with to go. The inside of the restaurant has painted a nice blue collar. It's got modern touches to it including modern hanging glass. Lights and booths are pretty roomy. I'm personally never eaten inside, but I have sat on a chair, waiting for my order to come through and thought the setting was pleasant and didn't suffer from that situation that can occur at a lot of restaurants where you're like this place doesn't look great. Should I really be eating the food here? So all in all I think this place is worth a try depending on what you get. I've had their lo mein noodles as well. They're pretty good not exactly the texture that I personally like when it comes to lo mein but the flavor of the noodles is pretty good."
"Beer, beer, and more beer! The craft beer selection is exceptionally top notch. You can find just about anything that you may be looking or searching for. If they do not have it, they can help you get it and or find it. The staff has an impeccable knowledge of all things beer. Especially helpful if you want to purchase a few different beers is their flexibility to split 4 packs into singles. This is a huge plus to know when browsing and contemplating purchases. They also have a small bar with draft selections. So you can actually make purchases and sample in same location."
"We love it here! Great food, service & atmosphere. Stay away if you're afraid of Covid I guess?"
"Awesome spot! Great beers and pizza was fire!!!! Went to the RO Location. Atmosphere, Cleanliness, Decor, Food and Beer was all on point! The 32oz max was weird cause we were there for about 2 hours so. 2 pints each??"
"Came here on a whim since my son was in the hospital and I drove by and I thought it would be a good idea to bring the wife some food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and if I was ever in the area again I would definitely come back by. The thing is though I am writing this review after coming here before and that visit of getting pizza was just as good as this visit. I didn't get pizza this time but the food was just as good."
"Brewed beer and guest beers on taps as well as a case to purchase many different types of beer. Really dig the outdoor patio. The malty Oktoberfest beer is malty and Brady. Very Good."
"This is surely the nicest place to enjoy a burger from Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. Being able to bring in your own food to a beer bar with a large selection of taps is an incredible feature. Naturally, without a kitchen to increase revenue, the beer prices might be a buck or two higher than you may find elsewhere. However, the setting is lovely with both covered and uncovered outside tables. There are heat lamps should it get nippy outside. Plus the service staff is quite friendly. I do wish the beer selection didn't lean so heavily on IPAs. That is a common complaint for me, along with so many beers that are flavored or contain gimmicky adjuncts. Props for having a deep list of pilsners and lagers. But I would love to see some hard to find beers from around the world. Having only one beer listed in their "Belgian/Wheat/Cream Ales" category which was just a Belgian-style beer made in Pennsylvania and available in nearly every supermarket, is what I would consider to be a red flag. The Grotto is good, but I also know they could do better... if they really wanted to raise their game. The issue isn't more beers. They have plenty. I would love to see a more curated selection that would really knock people's socks off. Although to be fair, the issue may simply be people. People love their fruited gose, double pastry stouts, and beers modeled after cocktails. Maybe one day I'll find a place to go in Ann Arbor for Geuze, ESBs, Farmhouse Ales, or true Belgian Blondes. In the meantime, The Grotto is a lovely spot downtown to sit down for one of my favorite burgers and a pint."
"Got bogo tickets from Johnny noodle king staff for this bar while we awaited our table. It fit the Halloween theme perfectly. Dark but not too dim, a ton of decorations without it feeling too crowded because of them. The drinks were stellar and with the bogo I only spent $15 bucks. We got the witches brew shots and bloodaritas"
"WTF is a solid neighborhood bar. I love that they're so engaged with the community, and that they come out to sell margs when there are movies in the street, etc. Their margs are great, bartenders are great, but most often I get margs to go because I don't love being in the space. It's got a little bit of a chaotic vibe, and is usually pretty loud. I do frequent the patio in the summer, but it is on a busy road so not the most chill vibes?Biggest down side is that the table service is hit or miss. We came close to kitchen-last-call one night and had a super weird interaction with a server who (first of all sat down at our table un-invited .. we didn't know him) and *kinda* said the kitchen was closing, but then let us order, but was weird about it. So we ate, but felt bad? It was so weird. As far as the tacos - they're solid. Lots of options traditional and non-traditional."
"Had to come on here because this is hands-down the best pizza I have had in Metro Detroit. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a large margarita pizza. I forgot to get a picture of the pepperoni, but it was insane. I'll definitely be back!"
"What a FANTASTIC find!! We absolutely loved it here. We were looking for a place exactly like this to kick off my birthday month and we found this absolutely perfect tiny restaurant. It was exactly what i wanted for my birthday dinner. We were walking around Oxford and we're intrigued by this charming outdoor area. There were only a few tables set up but the area was romantic and quaint. We entered through the back door and we were shocked at how small the inside was. It was also completely packed. We were fortunate to get the only available seats in the whole place! They were at the bar which is our preferred place to sit anyway so it was a bonus! We were immediately greeted by the bartenders and given a cocktail list, wine list, beer list, and menus. I was looking for a refreshing craft cocktail and that is exactly what they have. I was having trouble deciding so the bartender made a few suggestions based on my preferences. I went with the Paper Plane and it did not disappoint. It was an invigorating whiskey drink and oh so pretty! The presentation means so much! I normally skip the bread but their sour dough bread and creamy butter was mouthwatering and I couldn't skip it. The bread was salty which that alone makes this girl happy! Dinner does not include soup or salad but I didn't feel like we were missing anything. We looked over the menu and he chose the chicken Parisian which was a marvelous dish with artichokes and capers with wild rice. I chose to go with one of their specials for the day and was delighted with my Shrimp Picatta. I love sea food and I love chicken picatta so I was confident this would be good. It was perfect! The dish was buttery and perfectly prepared it was served with angel hair pasta. The serving size was the ideal size for me and I brought home left overs. He finished his dish. The atmosphere is very charming, however, be prepared to sit close to the table next to you. They did a great job utilizing the small space but you need to be comfortable getting friendly with your neighbor lol. I would recommend reservations because people coming in after us were told the wait would be at least an hour. Now, Oxford is gorgeous, so you could surely give them your number and walk around or grab a drink at the many bars along the street. The price was on par with the atmosphere, service, and quality food and cocktails. I think it's safe to say that I recommend this place and will absolutely be back! I was a very happy birthday girl!!"
"This place sets the bar for South Lyon. First floor: Open, modern, intimate, and refined. Second floor: Cozy, casual, and busier with a fun view if you are at the window. Service: was perfect. Zero complaints, nothing but compliments. You can tell they know what they are doing and the quality and speediness of food and service felt good without feeling rushed. The staff were all very nice and helped create a fun space. I loved seeing the owner walked food out and helping support his team and asking how his patrons food was. Food: Started with Double Makers Mark on Ice and had a limoncello after. Both strong, both good. Foodwise, we started with the Truffle fries. We were expecting traditional fries however these were a fun twist of a wedge and curly fry. The portion size was definitely meant for more than just 2 people. We also ordered the Pane Bread and let me tell you this was so good. Dusted with Salt on top, warm, and served with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil was so simple really was such a good starter (comes with 4, I smashed one before remembering to take a photo). I ordered the Scallopini Di Pollo Al Marsala and my Wife ordered the Fetticini Alfredo. Both dishes were served hot and so good. Portion sizes were very good and felt like they were worth the price point. We ended it with the flourless chocolate cake which was thick and rich. Closing Notes: We will be back, this place has left a great impression where it leaves many if not all to want to come back and try something new. The service, food, and uniqueness of this restaurant in South Lyon definitely creates a new standard for this town. Tips: 1. Get a reservation for Weekend Nights. 2. If you order from the 3rd floor, you can still order food off the menu from the 1st floor."
