"Basement Burger Bar is one of my longtime favorite burger spots. They offer great food with the ability to easily customize your order. Just to note, it's in the basement and there is no elevator."
"Had a jazzy time bringing in the new year. So glad we got our reservations early and I'm glad they don't do first come first served with reservations. Our table was already set aside for us. But be aware, there's a huge pillar in the middle of the floor, which ultimately blocks your view of the entire stage depending on where you're sitting. And the tables are very small! So plates will be touching. The band was great. The margarita was perfectly balanced. Our appetizers came out fairly quick. We got salmon patties, truffle fries and oysters. For entree I ordered the short rib. In my opinion, my food was nothing to brag about. There really wasn't much flavor, it was just okay. I felt like i should've ordered something else. And then the saddest part was they ran out of the cheesecake bread pudding dessert. Food wise, the best part in my opinion was the margarita and truffle fries. My partner on the other hand really enjoyed his meal."

"I've been so excited to try this place, and thankfully I had some friends that were interested in going with me. You order at the bar; they deliver your food to you. The lone bartender really needed some help, as that process was slow... but friendly. They didn't have buns for the brats, which was a little frustrating. Plus, look... I used to go to Germany all the time for work and LOVED the pretzels. The pretzels at Wurst were just the frozen sticks. So, not good, and a major disappointment. It's unlikely I'll go back any time soon, but fun for a night out and a little food and beer. They have a small patio out back, but the door catches so badly that it's worse than nails on a chalkboard. Kinda ruins the cool atmosphere and enjoyment of the back area (which is otherwise lovely.)"
"Little hole in the wall tavern a quick walk from the river walk and hart plaza. Came here for the NFL draft and oh my goodness did they fill up QUICK! if there is an event downtown and you plan to come here, I recommend getting there early. Bartender and staff were excellent, especially at getting tables cleared off so the line wasn't too bad. The Cobb salad was to die for and my brother highly recommended the wings! Street and garage parking available."
"Born and raised down here, I was excited to be back although so much of Bham has changed. Waahhh!!We walked in yesterday to grab a quick bite. Sat for 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. Yes they were busy for a Thursday at 3:30-4 but we were at a table that everyone walked passed- in the way-- if you will. I think that soured me. I seen 6 different servers and a manager and not one stopped to see if he had been helped. Nonetheless, finally ordered. House bread was best. Nothing comes out hot, just warm. The speed that which they came, coupled with the warmth of my dishes-- they had to be done in large batches and kept under a warmer. Nothing seemed fresh if that makes sense. Another thing, this is Birmingham I expect the restaurant to be kept up. The restaurant is dated and the baskets they have as lights are all askew. There is one to the right of the bar that was literally like a spot light on someone. But don't worry, they keep the place darker so..All this for $100. Thanks but no thanks."
"I finally tried the warmed lobster roll, and wow--what a treat. The lobster was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, but what really sealed the deal was the buttery toasted roll. It was golden, soft, and basically the perfect vessel for all that deliciousness. Every bite felt indulgent and satisfying. That being said... it was *expensive*. If they knocked a few bucks off, I'd be back in a heartbeat. For now, it's a "treat yourself" kind of meal--delicious, but definitely not an everyday splurge."
"This is a must visit for lovers of Italian cuisine. The food is presented in a cozy, yet romantic setting. The staff here is very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The recommendations made to me allowed me to satisfy my tastes for all I wanted to experience while dining there. Their presentation and portions were satisfying as well as esthetically pleasing."
"Service was Excellent.Fish and Chips I enjoyed. However, I believe our waiter stole my credit card number so I would use cash instead of credit at this establishment."
"We were in Allen Park for the Made in Michigan fair. We decided we wanted to go somewhere different (i.e.; not the same cuisine we usually have) and Bierkeller came up, so we decided to try it. When we walked in, we were the only ones there, but it was at an odd time -- about 4:15 on a Friday afternoon, so we felt a little self-conscious. But, we were greeted warmly and after a few minutes, other people started showing upThey had so many unusual and yummy looking choices on the menu that it was really hard to decide. But, decide we did. I got the Bierkeller bowl, and my sister got the chicken paprikash bowl. Both servings were huge and were served with garlic bread. Both were also delicious! The service was really good as well. Our server brought us refills on our iced tea (yeah, we don't really drink, but they had LOTS of beer and other spirits for those who do) without us asking, and when she noticed that we were finished, she brought us boxes for our leftovers. This is in no way a convenient location from where we live, but with the variety of fare that they offer and the reasonable prices, I can see myself deciding that it's worthy of a trip just on its own merits."
"It's very convenient here they have their own behind the building, with accessibility ramps for those who need help in getting into the restaurant. I ordered the signature fillet, and it was OK but I wouldn't say it's the best. It was medium, but the meat was a bit tough. The zip sauce was a bit on the salty side. The green beans were slightly tough. The mashed potatoes were just average. The service was friendly, but busy so didn't check on us much. I wanted a drink refill and never received it. The olive oil and sun dried tomato dip for the bread was tasty. The dining areas couldn't control their heating unit. It was blasting and scorching hot."
"Wow! The food is phenomenal here! I came here for a private event and everything was amazing. Friendly and attentive service. Lovely decor. Warm and inviting ambiance. The food was incredible! We had a multi course meal consisting of house made chips and dip, wild mushroom croquettes, Asian noodle salad, stuffed piquillo peppers, charred green beans, chicken Wellington, seared Atlantic salmon, and a lovely dessert platter.Wow! Every course was fantastic! We met the chef and he is so friendly and it's clear how much he loves cooking and creating an experience for his customers. There is also a speakeasy attached to the restaurant and I'm so glad I went there for an after dinner drink. Such a cool and relaxed vibe. Excellent drinks. There is a large free parking lot so parking is easy.I will never forget this amazing meal and experience. I highly recommend coming here! I can't wait to go back."
"Recommendation from our neighbor at the marina. Anna Maria just like the island pretty easy to remember. But she told us we had to try outl Mikes. So since we didn't have a car they dropped us off. Oh my gosh this is the place to die for. Picked the inside for tonight, walk the restaurant tomorrow night we will be going outside. Peggy ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the perch she said it was a number one seller. The service and the food has been outstanding and just reeks ambience if you're not happy with one area move to another there's all kinds of choices . Deceptive from the outside. The food was outstanding, if you like coleslaw be sure to order it."

The burgers here are always fantastic, and I love the endless options for customization--it's so much fun to build exactly what you're craving. Whether you want classic toppings or something more adventurous, they've got you covered, and the flavor never disappoints! Unfortunately, the cocktails are very hit or miss, and honestly, drinks leave a lot to be desired. I tried what seemed to be their take on a spicy margarita, and it ended up tasting like watered-down Koolaid with a splash of alcohol--not great. If you're coming, I'd say skip the drinks and focus on the burgers. That said, if you're looking for a place that has both amazing burgers and delicious cocktails, you might be able to find a better option elsewhere.

I have been going to Cliff Bells since 2007 and this jewel has only maintained its amazing energy and aesthetic. Cliff Bells is must for any Detroiter or one who visits. These acts are incredible and the staff is more caring than they need to be. I was surprised to feel so very warmly welcomed by my bartender Nathalie who while in a busy room of patrons took her time with me to decide which version of champagne my pallet preferred. Incredible job, Natalie and I appreciate you helping me decypher. Our hostess, Janae has the warmest best friend energy that makes you want to return and do whatever she recommends. Cliff Bells should be proud that both you and Nathalie are representing your incredible Venue.

Hazel's is my go-to restaurant for all things seafood and one of the best burgers in town! I truly love everything Hazel's has to offer from their Token Burger, amazing Peel & Eat shrimp, Lobster Roll, amazing fries, and the best Shirley temple in town! Hazel's in the summer is my favorite!

This place has very cute vibes. The service was quick, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food is also really good - the chicken Marsala is something I would definitely recommend for the mushroom sauce alone. The quantity of food is also good - not overwhelming but definitely enough to also take some home for tomorrow. I would come again and try their brunch, because I heard it's pretty good, but their dinner was delicious as well!

Great place for an upscale or casual classic burger joint! They have different types of protein for your burger to choose from They have been around along time, with their original location on Woodward in Royal Oak.The toppings for the burgers are second to none, the sides are fresh and made to order like fried mushrooms and onion rings. Fries are good and hot.I had the house salad with blue cheese and chicken and it was really good and gourmet, looks like it was prepared by a chef. My wife had a burger, she liked it so much she didn't even offer me a bite. The 6 of us shared a cookie sangwich sundae dessert.Atmosphere inside is clean and modern. Our service was great from our waiter , had no issues at all. Will definitely be back!

"Awesome location to play pinball! Menu is amazing and really friendly and fantastic service. Check out Terry's Terrace if you're in the area"
"We are new to the area from New Jersey. As I was on a sales call last month, a colleague of mine declared " and that place (pointing to the Villiage Idiot) has the best pizza in town." If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that .... Well tonight we decided to try the pizza. FANTASTIC. The sauce isn't too sweet, the cheese is very nice and the crust is thick enough to hold the structure of the pizza and still not be too much. We only tried cheese tonight but if this is a preview, I can't wait to try more. Ciao."
"I was out on a business trip and I needed to find dinner near my hotel. The guy at our hotel recommended Redwood for the steaks and a house made root beer. I walked in and the hostess asked if I wanted to sit at the bar since I was by myself. So, I took a seat at the bear and was greeted right away.I did learn that the brewmaster was no longer making the root beer, but they did have a nice drink selection. I ordered a 10 oz sirloin steak that came with mashed potatoes and a house saladThe salad came out and it looked pretty nice. It had greens, onions, cranberries, walnuts and bleu cheese. I could have done without the bleu cheese, but it was no biggie. My steak arrived and looked really nice with a demiglace and some veggies on top of it. It was cooked pretty perfectly medium rare. The restaurant itself had a kind of rustic vibe to it. It was also a brewery of sorts and had quite a lot of seating. Our waitress even offered us a discount for staying at our hotel, which was awesome. Overall, the food was good for the value and pretty tasty. I would definitely give it a shot if you are near the area."
"Carlyle Grill is a go-to stop for outdoor Happy Hour, good drinks and food. Their French onion soup is top notch. A meal in a bowl. Don't pass up the chips and salsa. My sister likes the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The burgers are really good and don't pass up the chef feature. It's usually very good. Service kicks butt whether you're in the bar or dining room. We tend to visit the bar. Trace, Shane and Kelsey hustle for their patrons. It's a great neighborhood spot."
"This was our first time at fork and pint and we were pleasantly surprised! We really loved the atmosphere! It's huge inside and there are plenty of televisions making this a great spot to watch a sporting event. We were here for a fundraiser. There is a large private room that we were able to use. We ate buffet style and everything was delicious! Definitely recommend the fried chicken. We had a waitress, bur mostly got our beers from the bar. They had a great beer selection to choose from. I am sure we will back to watch a game!"
"Wow- this spot is insanely good! We came here for pho and it did not disappoint. I got a shrimp pho and my friend got a beef based pho- both were incredibly delicious and SO flavorful! We also got a taro smoothie with tapioca pearls- I didn't know something could taste so good! The shrimp rolls were flavorful too. Our server was very nice and the food was out quickly. The vibe of the interior was interesting but I love a theme. Overall, we were very impressed and will be back as soon as possible!"
"What a cool vibe! The decor and layout of this place was so fun. The use of the Pictures, vibrant colors, slushie machines, margarita makers, and a large bar all contribute to the decor day of the dead. I will definitely be back for some type of celebration because they have this ice cream float that I just could not wrap my head around on this trip but plan on a different day. I ordered a flight of everything. A flight of three different tacos, a flight of Margaritas, a flight of slushies, and a flight of guacamole with chips. It was nice to taste so many different options they offered. The presentation of food and drink was so fun. They put edible flowers in my drinks and everything. My goodness the food was so good. Everything made in house and you can tell. Our waitress Bailey was knowledgeable, fun, and fast. She got us extra napkins and refilled our chips. Very knowledgeable of the products on the menu and there were so many. For drink, food for the table and top we came out around $165.00 for the three of us."
"The happy hour here is pretty good! There's discounts on some of the appetizers and drinks are $3.50-$6. It's m-f 3-6. I had a really solid reuben, but was kind of jealous of the people who got fish and chips because it looked amazing. Their outdoor area is cute and has fire tables and stuff. I'd go back!"
"I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Nice ambiance, service was excellent. I had the lemon rice soup, lemony and creamy very delicious, and the Tommy salad with chicken it was delicious, it was basically a Greek salad chopped up and mixed with the dressing, very fresh and the dill was a nice touch, chicken was good but a bit dry. I got the half size and that was big. Pita bread was warm and soft, tasted great. My table also had gyro, chicken gyro, Mediterranean bowl, and French fries... all were liked and enjoyed. Everyone at the table said, this place was a good pick! I can't wait to go back and try the lamb. The service was very good, very knowledgeable of many dishes, she had many suggestions. She said one thing that I loved, "were family owned and the only frozen food we have is the French fries (which were delish) and chicken strips." I thought that was great! Definitely will be back."
"I always wanted to try this bbq place the last time I was in Lapeer 9 years ago. We stopped by the place and the food was really good. We liked the Smokey wings and sausages. The waitress was great and very friendly. One of the best places to eat in Lapeer!"
"Solid spot for some classic nosh! Pretzel Bell has some history in Ann Arbor that I know I don't fully appreciate myself, but know there's a lot of nostalgia associated with it. Had a good margarita and crunchy bird (chicken) sandwich with tots. I asked for a side of ranch and I think their ranch is probably homemade, it was tasty and unique. Dining atmosphere is more elevated than just casual dining. Feels a bit like a sports club. There's also a bar downstairs in the basement, and food service down there as well, but I don't like going down there anymore because my last two times I got sick. (I think just due to it being a popular spot - lots of people and maybe not the best air ventilation/circulation in the basement.)"
"The live jazz is amazing! The food is excellent and fresh. You can tell the soul food is prepped in house and the service is fast and courteous. This is a great time out for a solo trip, date night, or visiting with friends. You can't go wrong here!"
"We've been to most other Mexican places in town and were looking for something different this night. I always thought this was part of the similarly-named chain, but it's its own thing. The service and the family that owns it is a hoot, and really friendly and attentive. It's nice and cozy and colorful inside, with plenty of seating. We were told later that everything is homemade, and it shows! Salsas are delicious, so are sauces and all the food. We've been back a few times already, and get the same great food each time. Food comes out pretty quick, and they have a good amount of options. I will definitely try some other things, I'm looking forward to the puffy tacos. It's some great Mexican food!"
"Dined in for a wedding shower. The food was solid and the service was adequate. Overall it was a solid experience and made us think we should come here for a nice date night! Very Italian decor and solid overall experience."
"Food was good, ambience is really nice, but service was a little lacking. We ordered the Brie and toast, salad, steak tips, and spaghetti and meatballs. The building is beautiful and has a very cozy look with really nice lights too. There's also a heated patio with string lights. The service was not great because we got our check pretty early and then there were no refills on the water. I had to ask for a water refill and only got it the one time I asked."
"The Stubborn Brother Pizza hit the spot! We arrived just in time to grab a seat at the bar to dine in. Super cute, industrial style cozy interior. The bartender greeted us promptly & stayed on it the whole time. We got some drafts & ordered some much needed garlic bread & meatballs. Holy yum! Super tasty! He opted for slices of pizza- I chose to order up a whole one for days of leftovers! We really wanted dessert but had no room. Maybe next time! Dont sleep on this one. The crust was amazing & the whole experience was a memorable one. This is one of our new favs!"
"What a fun night! We met up with some friends to celebrate a very special guy's birthday. They were doing a pub crawl and had a party bus. We weren't able to stay the whole time so we just met up with them at a couple bars. This was my first time at Tommy's. We really enjoy going to dive bars, so I'm surprised I haven't been here before. The owner was kind and accommodating. Especially since we surprised them with 20 unexpected guests all arriving at the same time! When we first got there it was totally packed. They were all pregnant before the wings game though so it emptied out once the game was close to starting. We didn't eat but they had some delicious popcorn to munch on. For those of you who enjoy craft beer, they did have a selection of bottled beer and some on draft. Overall it was a great time and I would absolutely come back!"
"$10 lunch special for a cheeseburger with fries and a pop is an insane deal. Make sure you sign up for rewards program!!! The service is always on point!!"
"A great spot for food and drinks with a cool vibe! Drinks are delicious, and I recommend the fish tacos! I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in the area again."
"Ask for Levi!! What a sweet amazing kind soul this human is. Gave us the best service and recommended some great choices that we both really enjoyed. Try the cheesy shrimp dip, it's to die for!"
"I cruise M-59 on the regular and had no clue this place was even here. My friend recommended it for lunch, so of course I said yes. Walking in, the place is well decorated as a cabin, which we both liked. It both a casual and slightly nicer feel to it, which we loved. The menu here is well rounded with several different dishes to be offered. I went with the hamburger and my friend went with the fish and chips. We sat in the main dining room which had lots of room and a variety of tables and booths. Since it also doubles as a banquet center, it's perfect for family gatherings, bridal and baby showers, graduation parties and much much more. As a matter of fact, there was a party going on in the banquet room next door! Fortunately, very little of the noise carried over into the dining area which was great. Our server was fabulous and checked in on us regularly. I wish I could remember her name, but we really did enjoy her service. While we were there, the lights kept flickering and we had her turn them down since it was annoying as all get out. We always had our drinks refilled and the food was fabulous. While it's not the cheapest option, the food, ambiance and setting was really nice. We were able to enjoy ourselves, our food and our conversation without feeling rushed or hurried which is always fabulous. Will definitely return in the future for more."
"Ahh the legendary restaurant on the water. If you live in the area, odds are you have been there. It's been a while since I've visited but my friend said their pizza was good and that sounded great to me on a Sunday evening. It was super busy when we got there around 5pm and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. Once we were seated though, our server was AMAZING. I believe her name was Kendra. She was so sweet even though we shot a bunch of requests at her at once. She came over and took our drink orders and we decided to order at the same time. She repeated our order back to us which was a large half and half pizza with a Greek salad and a pitcher of bud light. They did not do pitchers so they brought us our drinks and honestly the warmth from the sun and the buzz from the patio was just perfect. We had such a great time out on their rooftop deck. They had a tv playing golf and everyone around us seemed happy. Highly recommend this place to anyone in this area. I'm so happy it's not a chain and it's a local favorite. Again shout out to our server Kendra and the other staff. The pizza and salad were amazing by the way but that goes without saying:)"
"I ordered a Margarita and it was perfect! Just what I needed after a small hike on the Polly Ann Trail!Thursday's special was a crunchy chicken sandwich and fries so that is what I ordered.Excellent too!Plus I had free entertainment watching the football bowlingGreat place for lunch!"
