Eid F. "Great pizza spot in Milford minutes from Kensington Metropark and Camp Dearborn. Had an XL pizza and the Greek salad. The pizza was sooooo cheesy and perfectly cooked. The sauce tasted delicious and dough with the garlic crest was amazing. They have a large covered outdoor patio with lights and fans. Didn't see any heaters so probably only used in Spring/Summer. **Warning-- No indoor seating and although you can eat on the patio there are No Public/Customer Restrooms on-site. I'd definitely come back for another pizza and maybe add an order of the fried chicken."

Dave W. "One of our neighbors arranged to have this food truck visit our neighborhood on a beautiful summer evening during the pandemic - it is exactly what we needed...something different to do and eat and a great chance to catch up with neighbors! The menu choices are pretty straightforward - a pile of meat (with various options) and sides of cole slaw and mac & cheese. I'll start with the sides:The cole slaw is mediocre, at best. The mac and cheese was outstanding...and I am a big fan/critic of mac & cheese. As for the meat...I had the sausage and thought it was quite good. I could have done without the ends - no one needs to be reminded of how sausage is made :-)My daughter had the chicken and liked it. My wife had the pork, and also enjoyed it.All of the portions are fairly large, so no one went home hungry."

Sara M. "On my recent visit to Ann Arbor, our host gave us a choice of items from Ricewood. an Asian BBQ menu. I went along to see what we were having as it would be easier to serve family style at home with a child to serve too. It was not far from their home which was nice at the time of day to be able to have a quick meal. It seems to be mostly takeout, but the staff was very engaging yet efficient. The servings are large so we got a few bowls which we could share at our own family table on a nice screened porch at their home on an early summer evening. My favorite was the brisket. But we also got the pulled pork and the ribs. Each bowl was ample with veggies and rice underneath the meat. We also ordered three sides, the red cabbage slaw, the spiced cucumbers and the kimchi. My favorite was the cucumbers , but the red cabbage was good too. I did not try the kimchi, since I do not digest any kim chi very well. But our hosts enjoy it regularly.Four adults had all they wanted with these choices and there were even leftovers for snacking later. The BBQ sauce had a really nice flavor and we ordered it as not very spicy which was best for our group. It was zesty, but if you want hot you can get it really hot too. Also the price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the items. A truly enjoyable first meal for our visit."

My biological father wanted to take us to dinner and he really likes they shrimp so we came here. Review: We walked in, were greeted within 30 seconds. We were sat within a few seconds of that in a booth. Our waiter came by within a minute. We all ordered and that was that. The food came out within 10-15 minutes... salad was 5-7 minutes if that. My ribs were delicious and the shrimp were good too. Thank you Kim for your sweet personality, kindness, and wonderful customer service. Also, thank you Nolan for your speed quick response to my request for tartar sauce, such a sweetheart...and a cutie too lol anyway, great recommendation! I would love to come back! Mariah C. "If you get a chance to see a show on the Alley Deck, I highly recommend it. The last time I was there I ended up running into old friends, drinking a few too many beers (but just enough, really), and shaking a tail feather a bit, too.Heck, even on a regular day or night without a show, it's a pretty great place to hang out in the fresh air. We only get a limited amount of sunshine and warm weather 'round here, so I'm always on the hunt for good places to spend some time relaxing outdoors. There's a nice canopy area over the bar (which I recommend if you're there during the day), and then a more open area for those who wand to soak in the sun. I don't know the story behind the stained glass panel featuring a gnome and a panther (!?), but I love it, and I also dig that there's a cooking area where you can sometimes grab a hot dog or another bite to eat.The deck's only about a year old, so I think that they are just now starting to book more shows and events to fully utilize the space - but from a few fun times I've already had this summer, I hope they keep it active as a separate venue as well as a place to take a break from a show at the Stick."

Liz A. "I'll tease you with this lead in - I did not have a salad!!! For those who might follow me, I don't recall ever writing about a restaurant where I did not order a salad. I think once I ordered chicken at OG - but I had already reviewed that place when I suffered through a pathetic salad so I didn't write about the chicken.Anyways, I was meeting close friends from work who live all over Ohio. There were plans to go to Copper Moon afterwards so that's how we ended up here - convenient location. I could not do Copper Moon but still came for lunch. It was a Saturday but there were plenty of empty tables to pick from. There were 6 of us and we were seated right away. I ordered a Diet Coke and the waitress did a fantastic job of keeping refills coming. She was very sweet and did an excellent job overall. Fortunately, I had scoped out the menu online to see what salads were offered. I was rather shocked at the pricing of a basic salad with no protein. To add the protein put the sticker price at almost $20. While I love my friends, it wasn't worth it to drop that much on a simple lunch. I've had to do that too much recently during the week for business, so I looked for other options. While I am NOT a soup person, I was lucky they had chili. I normally avoid meat but I was OK with a bowl of chili which also had beans, tomatoes and I opted for onions and cheese - no sour cream. There serving was generous and flavorful. I could have gone with a lot more heat (temperature and spice), but it was just fine. Perfect for a chilly fall day.I almost always remember to grab a pic of my food, and often all food brought to the table, but the joy of being with these friends made me overlook the photo op. Would I eat here again? Probably not. I'd likely want to try something new and we only return to favorites. And being 2.5 hours away from home, it is highly unlikely I'll ever be back. However, it was a perfect place for our group and the service was just great!!"

Your welcome. We ordered drinks, I had a Killians and she had a mixed drink called "Long Erie Island" which was very boozy. We were recommended the Special Platter for 2 by a friend of the family so we decided to order it. It comes with 3 sides of your choice (which by the way I recommend you get your own Mac N Cheese cause you won't stop eating it & you won't share it either), Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, St Louis Ribs, 1/2 BBQ Chicken, smoked sausage. This food was VERY delicious, everything was juicy, tender and just cooked to perfection, this place has great food, a great environment and a great staff. Rob P. "My son told me how great the chicken sandwich was, but I had to try the bibimbap. Take a look at the picture: they give you a lot, and it's beautiful. I ordered carryout, so I don't know if the rice is the traditional way, sizzling on the inside of a stone bowl. It's really the thing that makes the dish. And, the carryout contained steamed rice.Steamed rice, and a lot more: cabbage, corn, beans, celery, carrots, rice noodles, and a choose of several different proteins. I got the spicy pork. They also include lettuce for some reason. It is high-quality, but it doesn't belong here. I seriously picked every bit of it out. They had a fried egg on top, and a fair amount of gochujang, although I could have used more. With all that going on, I can overlook for a bit the fact that the rice is not sizzling. This masterpiece was also prepared quickly. They told me it would take about 10 minutes, but it was closer to 6. I'm genuinely concerned that there might not be enough business to keep the doors open, but they have definitely gained a new customer."

Service is efficient and friendly. It is mostly a take-out establishment, while there are a few tables available to dine in if you prefer. The BBQ has a vinegary taste, it is more saucy than Vickie's (another Detroit BBQ staple - who serves a bit pastier sauce). Having grown up in North Carolina, the vinegar flavor is just right as far as I am concerned.Joe Ann's sides are tasty as well, and most meals come served with two, along with two pieces of white bread.BTW - This location is not going to be for everyone, but if you really want to experience the fullness of Detroit flavor, you have to get off the beaten path!"

The food was excellent and plentiful, also loved the (complimentary) banchan: fish cakes, kimchi, marinated cucumbers, cabbage salad, green dish (mustard greens?--forgot to ask). I really loved the cucumbers and cabbage salad! Kimchi was a little fishy for my taste.Since I've never been my friend decided to order a ton of different foods, so I could try a lot of different things, and she could have leftovers. I started with the Gun Man Doo (dumplings) and Seaweed Salad. The dumplings were delicious, really liked the sauce that comes w it too! The seaweed salad was too fishy for my taste--maybe too much fish sauce? My friend ordered the Gyeran Jjim (Steamed Eggs), which is like a fluffy mound of scrambled eggs. Yum! She ordered Galbi (marinated beef short ribs)--that flavor!!--and Budae Jeongol (soup w a variety of meats in it) which was way too spicy for me. I'm a wimp! And I ordered the seafood bibimbap and LOVED it. You get tiny shrimp, scallops, mussels, and octopus in every bite, and the flavors were subtle and delicious. Perfect dish for a freezing cold night! Just be sure to stir the rice after they set the pot down, so it doesn't burn on the bottom! We were stuffed by the end of the meal, and my friend had lots of leftovers to take home! Remember that if you order online and it is less than $10 they will charge you a dollar fifty order charge which makes no sense to me. Also if you use your credit card and it is less than $8 they will also charge you fifty cents as a fee. I am not in favor of any of these fees or service charges and I have told them when they tried to charge me. If you don't go here often you wouldn't know that so be sure you mention to them that you are not paying extra just to use your credit card because the state or your bank will not stand by that upcharge.if you are in a hurry call in your order and within 15 minutes you can pick it up steamy and delicious"

The wraps and pizza seem to be the same recipes of Papa Romanos and Mr. Pita which is fine with me because I've liked their food before in the past. This location used to have a weekday lunch buffet years ago, not sure if Covid shut it down or if that stopped before then. They recently opened up under their new restaurant name and for now, the buffet is back seven days a week now and during the weekdays it's open until 7pm which is great! I didn't try any of the pizza this day, my boyfriend had and he said it was decent. The addition of watermelon, grapes and strawberries was actually very nice. In the middle of February in Michigan, I'll take some fresh fruit whenever available! I think a small cheap addition to the buffet for dessert could honestly be something as simple as jello cubes, or chocolate or vanilla pudding... those tend to help settle the tummy if you indulge a bit too much lol! The price is $13.99, beverages are separate. They also have a full menu to order from with some different types of pizzas your not used to seeing... I've always loved the "bambino" bread from Papa Romanos and it still does not disappoint! Will be back again, if not for the buffet, than something cool and different off their menu. I will say the owner is super friendly, gladly goes into details about what's available. If you are looking for a particular type of pizza and don't see it on the buffet, let them know. He offered to make us what ever we were looking for. So on my recent trip to Detroit, we made Big Ken's our last stop, and boy did we save the best for last. When we arrived we took a minute to look at the menu before we ordered. There was a young lady at the counter who didn't seem too happy to be at work. She was very short and not too friendly. After placing our order, my wife said she actually wanted to try the Mexican street corn but she was hesitant due to the cashier's attitude. I talked her into placing another order and she was glad she did.Our food was ready within minutes. And the other young lady who brought it to us was much more pleasant. So, I will go with the main cashier was just having a bad day. We went to the car to dig in and one of the male employees came out to greet us as he overheard us stating that it was our first time. He asked how the food was and we told him we really enjoyed it. He then thanked us for stopping by. This gentleman and the pleasant young lady saved Big Ken's from getting a 4/5 rating. Now to the food, my wife and I ordered the 8 Mile Pulled Pork sandwich a side, and a lemonade. I got cole slaw because they were only offering potato salad, slaw, or baked beans. But when my wife decided to place her second order, I had her get me an ear of buttered corn. As far as the drinks went, I got blueberry lemonade and my wife got strawberry. They serve the lemonade in these huge plastic cups with real fruit inside of them. The sandwich was the best pulled pork sammy I have ever had. The barbecue sauce is light but full of flavor. The bun was nice and saw and the slaw complimented the sandwich perfectly. The buttered corn was really good and it was served with husks. The lemonade was phenomenal, by far the best lemonade I have ever had. As far as the Mexican street corn, my wife was caught in 4k licking the sauce from the foil it came wrapped in. #Satisfied Pro Tip: We spent $125 dining at Sugar Factory Detroit, and we spent about $40 at Big Ken's.
