"Good bagels and cream cheese. The cream cheese is pricey. The honey walnut is my favorite."
"I was passing through the area and really wanted to try place that made their own bagels. This shop didn't disappoint! I tried a deli sandwich and it was so good and tasted very fresh. It seemed like everything was made to order and you pick your fresh bagel at the time of your order!! Loved trying this quaint little shop and would recommend to anyone looking for a yummy, homemade bagel! :)"
"Jalapeño Bagel: A fiery fusion of spice and crunch. Each bite ignites the taste buds with zesty flavor, a must-try for bagel aficionados."
"love this location, they're quick with getting you your order and it's always delicious! the reason for 3 stars is because einstein bagels discontinued my favorite item on the menu, the only reason i went out of my way to go to an einstein bagels location... the chocolate chip coffe cake, attached a picture of it"
"I love the breakfast sandwiches here at Einstein. They are always consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. Whenever I come out this way to visit family, I am the designated breakfast person. No matter if I'm ordering for just myself, or 5 other people, this Einstein's is always accommodating and quick. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes, even on a busy weekend morning. Customer service is great. Friendly enough, and always quick and efficient. I so appreciate that. This location does have doggy bagels. Our dogs love them. You can find them at the register either individually or pre-packaged. In terms of Covid, I think this location has been handling things pretty well. They do have a sign outside on the door that says no more than 5 people inside, but I've never witnessed anyone following that "rule", nor anyone enforcing it. They have blocked off all indoor seating and you do follow a loop around the store to order and pay. They do have some tables marked off for door dash, uber eats, and whatever other delivery services are out there. All employees are wearing masks, and gloves. They do have hand sanitizer at the door. They are requiring customers to wear masks."
"The bagels are sooo yummy!!!! I would recommend them to anybody. The ambiance and the service is amazing!"
"Just not that good. Feels dark and dirty. Service uneven to disdainful. Bagels eh. Kinda sad"
"Small bagel place w/ big flavor. No places to eat, doesn't matter, get your bagel and go. They have coffee and also bagel chips and small deserts. Ingredients are always fresh and the small wait for fresh made toasted bagels is worth it."
"Cute little coffee bar tucked inside of a brewery. Lots of flavor options as well as milk alternatives. Great service and lots of free street parking close nearby. The only thing is it was difficult to find! I had no idea it was inside of another business so it took awhile to figure that out. Would be good to mention that somewhere online. Definitely worth it though as they have a good variety of options. Love that they open at 7am makes it an easy quick stop before work!"
"I'm not a huge fan of the bagels here. One reason is that they are shaped very round like a mini soccer ball and don't fit in my toaster at home when I slice them in half. The cinnamon raisin bagels barely have any raisins in them and I've ordered them a few times just incase I got an odd one. One time there were just 2 raisins in the whole bagel!! The blueberry bagels definitely could use more blueberries as well. The only reason I like to come here is for the dog bagels! Lol. My dog loves them and they are only $0.35 each. A much cheaper price than I can get at the pet stores. The New York Bagel Dogels they sell at the local pet stores are $12.99 for a dozen. A dozen here is only $4.20 and they are much larger. I highly suggest them for a treat your dog if have a large dog. It's a little known secret. :)"

When you look this place up, it states it's halal, but it's not halal. I verified this with the manager. Btw don't tell him you're Muslim, you won't get the best reaction. The food is good tho, I get everything on the vegetarian side and their cream cheese is halal!

New York Bagel has been a staple in Ferndale for as long as I can remember and it continues to meet expectations. I have gotten a variety of things from this bagel shop and they're all good from their salt sticks, to their house made cream cheeses, to their deli sandwiches. But my favorite is an egg, sausage and cheese sandwich. As always it was cooked well, cheese had a nice kick, and the bagel was toasted to perfection. I only took off a star because the new staff wasn't great today. My staff member didn't smile at all, and was a little rude when asking me to repeat myself because she couldn't hear me. Otherwise I would've given another star. But overall I love New York Bagel, and we will be back next weekend.

Craved a bagel breakfast sandwhich. Got the Santa fe on everything bagel and 2 egg whites, add capers. The bagel sandwhich was not amazing. Bagel tasted not fresh, slightly stale. The turkey sausage was ok as was the other ingredients but overall a sub-par sandwhich. Service was ok, something you'd expect from fast food. I might try other bagel places next time.

I'm rarely a huge fan of chain restaurants but I have to make an exception for Einstein Bros. Bagels. It consistently has some of the best gourmet bagels and double whipped schmear around. I never liked cream cheese all that much until Einstein's schmear turned me into a cream cheese convert. The whipped schmear is so fluffy and light. I also love the cheese bagels - six cheese, jalapeno cheddar, green chile, and cheesy hash brown - they are all delicious and my favorite go-to items. Einstein bagels are very soft and still taste great a day later if you are buying extra to last a few mornings. I've tried other bagel places and found the bagels to be too hard and chewy. So far I've tried one of the signature breakfast sandwiches, the Farmhouse, with eggs, bacon, smoked ham, and cheddar cheese, on a cheesy hash brown gourmet bagel. Really good and definitely beats a typical fast-food breakfast. I like this location in Troy. The workers are friendly, the store is spacious, and I haven't had a problem with getting the bagels I want if I go in the morning. I recommend downloading the Einstein app to earn points for free items and order ahead. There is a table to pick up your items if you pre-order using the app.

Elaine's Bagels are warm soft and delicious. When you first walk in you are instantly put at ease with the warm decor. You feel like you've made it to the right place. The service is excellent and Elaine is a hard worker! Highly recommend you order your next dozen from her.

Outstanding Service and Bagels! A Small town treasure! My order didn't come out as quick as it should have and they were so apologetic and even let us pick out a free Bakery Item. They didn't need to do that. Just made me appreciative that customer service means a lot to them! A must stop if you live in the Commerce area.

"I was in the area and located this little gem not too far from where I was working. I was greeted by friendly staff who provided me with a recommendation that did not disappoint. I ordered the Maddie's Fav which was delicious, and gave me the extra boost I needed to get through the rest of the day. They also had delicious looking sweets, sandwiches and smoothies that I will definitely return to try."
"There's nowhere else I'd think to go to get fresh bagels other than Eastside Bagel! I used to stop in all the time when I worked in Harper Woods and still make it a point for a Saturday morning breakfast run! They have SO many delicious flavors, you seriously can't go wrong but best to get there early as it can get very busy! The staff is friendly and serves quickly while preparing everything fresh.I absolutely love their breakfast bagel sandwiches- pictured is the Canadian Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Bagel with Swiss on a spinach Asiago bagel... SO delicious On my last visit they were offering a free bagel with cream cheese to educators for back-to-school so I tried the cinnamon sugar- toasted with regular cream cheese. A sweet, creamy delight! The only thing I didn't love was the cinnamon roll. If you like straight cream cheese, you will like this. The dough wasn't that soft and the 'frosting' had a goo-like consistency which didn't melt like icing when I put it in the microwave, but it's a bagel place. I'll forever be a fan of their fantastic bagels"

"Service was fairly quick. The lady at the register was very nice and polite. The food was very good and I loved the way it was presented to us, it looks beautiful! I do wish they had a little more options BUT it was good!"
"I'm not a bagel person...So I didn't even care to try the bagel. I got it for my little one and noticed that the seasoning was on both sides, that was a lovely surprise. Usually all the toppings are on one side of the bagel and the bottom of the bagel is tasteless So, my little one had one half of the rather large bagel and got to both enjoy the seasoning. The seasoning was delicious, a perfect combination of everything; garlic salt poppyseed etc. with nothing too overpowering. The bagel was a perfect chewy and tasty texture. I found myself eating the entire half of the bagel and wanting more. I didn't get anything besides that, but this will be our new bagel spot...I'm glad we stopped by!"
"A really comfortable place to meet for coffee. Very nice and owner-run. They close at 3."
"I love a good coffee shop, especially ones that have breakfast. James Oliver Coffee is close to the Godfrey hotel, where Nate and I stayed recently. We stopped in for a quick breakfast before getting on the road.I got a latte and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich. Nate got the veggie bagel and a coffee. The space is bright and airy with lots of natural light and varied seating. The latte was perfection, super creamy and delicious with my oat milk. The bagel was good, but to be honest, I am just not a big fan of bagel sandwiches. I noticed they had some other sandwiches on sourdough, so I wonder if I could've gotten the breakfast sandwich on that instead. Still, it was very tasty and Nate loved his (very messy) veggie bagel.Service was friendly and patient, which I appreciated as the menu board is handwritten which can sometimes take me longer to figure out."
"The best bagels I've had around here! We tried a variety of bagels and I'm not usually a sweet bagel guy but the cinnamon and raisin was still warm when we got home and was incredible. We also had a black russian bagel that was so fluffy and fresh inside and enjoy the subtle spices which reminded me of rye bread. The big surprise was the cinnamon toast bagel that was topped with powered sugar, never seen that elsewhere. The biggest struggle was not having enough room before trying them all. It was nicely decorated inside and the staff was super friendly. Can't wait to go back and try their sandwiches and other things on the menu. You have to try this place!"
"I have to admit-- I am biased. No, it's not a conflict of interest, I just ALREADY LOVED BARRY's when I stopped in today for the first time to their new Clawson location. I'm from the Ann Arbor area, my first memory of the West Side Barry's being so long ago that I was in a stroller with my mom! That smell of bagels that wafts into Nicola's books, the window with steps for the little one to peep the bagels, the weird 90's decor. I just loved it. This Clawson location lacks a little of the charm of the old location, but that can't really be helped. They do have big windows around the prep area, so you can bring your kiddos and have them see where the magic happens. As far as what I had-- it was a sesame bagel with lox, onion, capers and plain cream cheese. It was spot on. If you've never had Barry's bagels, they're quite soft, a little chewy (never tough) and very flavorful. Truthfully, it's the closest thing to a NYC bagel I've had outside of the city. The smoked salmon was fresh, buttery, not 'fishy' or mealy-- tasted fresh and high quality. (Believe me-- I've had a lot of smoked salmon!) It was a $10 sandwich, but that can be expected with lox, so I was prepared yo drop some cash. (When you can spend $9 on Subway, I'm not complaining...) Overall, in the words of my boyfriend, "Finally a good fucking bagel in the neighborhood!""
"Probably the closest thing you'll get to Ny style bagels in Michigan. It's not quite but close. This ain't your Einstein or Dunkin or Bruegers-- it's way better. Bagel itself is soft and freshly baked. I got the sausage, egg and cheese and my husband got the lox/ salmon with capers and the works. We both enjoyed it. His came w a side potato salad and pickle. It was just missing the magic flavor you find in a Utopia bagel or H&H. I don't know what it is. Maybe the bagel itself. But I'm so happy to have found this place. My husband has been coming here already multiple times. They also have paninis and build-your-own omelet /sandwich options. Menu is pretty extensive for a small location including salad. There's basic coffee and tea selection but we didn't try that this time. There's a few tables inside you can sit at. Lighting is bright like a deli, music plays in the background. Staff is friendly and try to make conversation with you which was cool. Seemed like they like working there. The guy asked what I was yelping on my phone and if my husband goes by a nickname. I appreciate little connections like that. 5 stars!"
"New York West Bloomfield knows how to make a bagel! Recently got an order of half a dozen bagels and 1/2 a pound of vegetable cream cheese. The bagels were $7 and the cream cheese was $6. Bagel Flavours were everything, garlic, jalapeño, rosemary, sesame and onion. Bagels were perfectly sized, not too small and not too big. Cooked to chewy perfection with a crispy crust and warm to the touch. If you like bagels you'll die for these. Approximately 20 Flavours of cream cheese to choose from. They'll even bring your order out to your car which is a major plus when it's 7:30am.Try it out, you won't regret it!"
"Good New York style bagels in Livonia. Ambiance has a nice east coast bagel shop feel!"
"Most authentic NY style bagels in metro Detroit. Sensibly sized too, not ginormous. Service is a bit slow because they put 3 in each bag, rather than a bag big enough for a dozen."
"Always friendly, great customer service, and an awesome selection of things to enjoy with coffee or tea. Bagel bombs are excellent, and you have to try the Almond Joy cookie. Very comfortable place to relax and enjoy."
"Really good quality bagels, pleasant staff. Well run with little to no wait any time. You can pre-order, too. Could be the best bagels around and I know bagels"
"I must admit the experience I had recently was much better than another experience I had in the past, one that made me stop coming in the first place.I was still a bit dissapointed that cream cheese doesn't come with the 13 bagels, so my mom only bought one cream cheese which was $4. It wasn't nearly enough sadly. Luckily, the bagels were extremely warm and fresh (my mom asked for the freshest). So, in the past we came here to eat while working outside. It was really hot outside, high 80's. For some reason, I was in a rush and I didn't eat anything. I felt sick and my blood sugar was so low. My mom decided to just quickly get bagels next to the job. She went inside because I was so dizzy and I needed to eat something quick. Th lady inside refused to cut my bagel for me. My mom got the 13 bagels and asked if she could just cut one of them and explained the situation. She told her my hands were covered in dirt with sores and cuts, and that I didn't feel well. The lady refused to slice my bagel. My one bagel out of the 13. She said my mom would have to pay more and that she would have to get cream cheese too. We just wanted a bagel sliced. It made me so upset that we decided to not come back. The bagels were hard that time too. This time they still don't slice, but at least it is something quick. I prefer Einsteins anyday though."
