It has been years since I was last at First Watch and he has never been before.The menu is simple but has a lot to offer. My boyfriend can be picky so he opted for the trifecta- bacon, eggs and a Belgium waffle. Yum! Can't go wrong with any of those! He said the waffle was very fluffy and the best he has ever had. The hot syrup is a nice touch!I had the breakfast tacos, which I am still thinking about two days later! Can't wait to go back soon!The service was super fast despite being a full house."

"Prices are very fair. Menu selection pretty good. Facility is clean. I've been here on several occasions and each time the service has left a lot to be desired in that the waitresses are all rather sarcastic. This last time I ordered a strawberry waffle that arrived with no whip cream on top. No biggie. I asked if they could provide whip cream and the waitress replied snarkedly "You should have told me you wanted whip cream" WTH! I ordered bacon well done and no lie, it was served like it was nuked in the microwave to the point where it was almost DUST! I lifted the piece of bacon and it was so dry it literally fell apart when being picked up! Scary waitress made me not say a thing about the shi%%y bacon I never ate. Previously 8 older women ate here and at the end when the waitressed served them one bill they inquired if they could please all receive separate bills and the waitress literally ripped the one bill into 8 pieces!!! Spare me; there are WAY better places to eat without getting a side a smart-ass with your meal."

"This is the restaurant in a shipping container in Campus Martius. Campus Martius is a fun place with food trucks, tables, live music, foosball, ping pong tables, and a beach in summer. We didn't want to stand in line at the food trucks so we went to Fountain where they have table service. Most of the tables are under umbrellas, but some are in the sun. All of the tables are high tables (which is a terrible trend for short people, people with children, etc). Our waiter Andy was friendly and refilled our drinks and checked back with us. It was slow getting our food. All of the food is brought in from a restaurant in Birmingham since there isn't a real kitchen in the shipping container. The lack of space may slow the food prep. We had the chicken sandwich and the falafel sandwich and both were tasty. We thought that the falafel was better than the chicken. They will stay open into the fall. It would be nice if they could serve hot drinks in the winter when the ice skating rink is open. Word of warning: if you are at a table closest to the fountain on a windy day you might get wet."

"A solid 4, 4-1/2 if there were 1/2 stars! Let me start with this: DON'T keep driving on by cuz it looks like a small Lil diner. It's got lots of booth space on the inside. And we all love the booth, right?BUT the real reason to stop is the GOOD FOOD!And the smiling happy friendly wait staff makes for an enjoyable meal all around.It was our first time here. But they're batting 1000 on the appetizers. I highly recommend the batter dipped LARGE mushrooms.My mushroom Swiss burger was good. But my wife's pot roast sandwich was GREAT. Super flavorful. I'm not going to tell you the secret...you'll have to come and find out for yourself."

"I have to admit that I love love love having breakfast at a good decent diner. I've been getting lunch take out from Noni's. Well I finally decided to dine-in for breakfast with S. We both ordered omelets, the Noni's for her and Farmer for me. They were the size of newborn babies. And just as adorable. Delicious. We both had to quit mid-way and get to-go boxes for the leftovers. I will definitely have to do this again. As for the ambiance, this is a great neighborhood-y place to meet up with family or your neighbors."

"A solid place for breakfast, we come here about once a month. It's your classic diner style with booths around the perimeter and tables in the middle. The waitresses call you hon' and chat with you. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Nothing gourmet, just solid eggs any style you want them, pancakes, hash browns and the like. I've recently discovered their homemade corned beef hash, my new favorite. Not like the overly salted canned stuff, this has large chunks of corned beef, crispy fried hashbrowns and onions. What's not to like? Coffee is good and always being refilled, creamer is the little containers, but at least it's cream and not 'non-dairy creamer'. Can't speak about lunch or dinner, but if you want a solid, not fancy breakfast, you can't go wrong with Nick's."

"The hungries hit when the hungries hit. We happened to be value shopping in the Sal at the time. We've been here dozens of times so it's a no brainier. First off, it looks renovated or remodeled since our last visit. It's cleaner and more inviting. Good on them.Today's service was head over heels and all the staff were a lot of fun. For most of us it was sandwich day. Mrs. E. insists on the Chicken Greek salad. This is actually a solid choice. They use an awesome marinade which makes the grilled chicken explode with flavour. The salad is huge with pepperoncinis and tasty beets. I'm not a fan of their red onion, but it does help establish the uniqueness of the salad. Bill Clay ordered the western omelette, which is legendary. The secret there is the size pieces they cut the ham and veggies into. They're also sautéed separately then added to the eggs. Back to those sandwiches, The Rueben Daddy was decent as was the Turkey Club. The show stealer, for me, was the dPark Grilled Chicken and the Corned Beef & Swiss on rye. They grilled the green pepper on these sandwiches which tweaks the taste just so.The coneys and loose burger items are fantastic and the kiddos love the chicken tenders and the dipping sauces. The crumb crunchers create them by themselves. I think they invent a different option each visit. Truly a well kept secret, DPC offers possibly the best value in metro Detroit. The food is all great, some things are even outstanding. Look for them in the back corner of the Dodge Park Strip mall. 01/22"

The Madison burger is very good, but sometimes it comes on Texas toast, which I was not a fan off. I think before I got it on something different. They have good wraps and mozzarella sticks. Strong drinks. Sometimes the servers are hit or miss, but that's because they are usually packed on the weekends. There are a lot of boat slips, but it may be hard to find one mid day on a Saturday. Great loCal! Views! People! Remember though there is no wake out front on the middle channel."

I first met the manager, Todd, in December 2023 when I was in town from Arizona. During the months beforehand I emailed Todd numerous times and he responded quickly every time. No complaints."

We also started off the night with the nacho app. My only complaint on it is they needed to give you more of the sauce for it. Other than that, it was very good. I ordered the trio fajitas so I could try all three meats with it. Good. The flavor was great but it needed a sauce or something to spice it up. Husband ordered steak which was cooked to his temp perfectly. The steak quality itself was fine but he stated the mashed potatoes were fantastic. And lastly, the dessert. We ordered the trio and OMG The brownies and the fried oreos were absolutely killer. Best dessert I have had in a long time. Couple the great food with the fact that its right by our house, we will def be going back regularly."

I'm not a diner frequenter usually. I'm just such a picky eater that we end up arguing and I don't like what I've ordered, bag it up, and he eats it for left overs. Everything sounds good on the menu, but this time I asked our waitress what is the top 3 ordered/best items. So the dinners all come with soup, salad, entree, and jello or rice pudding. Great deal for the price if you ask me! So we both got salads with their homemade ranch, with added cucumber, red onion, and chick peas, and cups of chicken lemon rice. Everything was great! I shared my food with my 1 y/o daughter and she LOVED IT ALL! For entree we chose meatloaf for him, and I chose a big beef chopped sirloin patty. Both came with choice of potato and we chose mashed and mixed veggies, but there's many veg and potato choices. My sirloin comes with red or brown sauce and I didn't know what I'd like so she was kind enough to bring out a cup of each. Red has vegetables and tomato based and usually goes on your rice, brown is like a brown mushroom gravy with lots of mushrooms and was excellent on the meat. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, and please the pickiest of eaters! Then dessert I didn't think I could make it! Me and my daughter got jello's with whip topping, and he got rice pudding... Both excellent again. The waitresses were wonderful, helping worth my fussy little one because she had just come from the Dr and was throwing everything so they gave her crayons and papers and even played for a while to distract her so I could get a bite in lol! The drink were always filled, plates were removed accordingly, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK! And you can't beat all this for the price ANYWHERE! I wish I took pics but the little one had me extremely busy! They also kindly boxed everything up for me so I could eat it later."

"In town for a winter vacation and my nephew chose this place (thank you TikTok).The menu was full of every comfort soul food known to man. I couldn't decide so, I got a few apps and created a flight of sides. Whether you are a picky eater, on a diet or not, there is something on the menu to satisfy you.For my beverage I of course ordered the koolaid... red. Why red? Because no other flavors matter. And requested lemon slices, squeeze one in and let the other float. It's the only way to enjoy koolaid. The serving size was sizable, it was perfectly sweetened & i was kind enough to share with Ok.. let's start with the food. Thr fries are like no other. It's like they were seasoned, breaded & fried. Crispy.. amazing. I asked if they were sprinkled with a lil crack. Beyond delish. Words cannot describe. The collard greens were better than my grandmothers and her were THE best. They were so good, I ordered a second helping. The pot liquor (juice from the greens) was so soul healing... IFYKYK... I wish they offered that as something you could drink. The Mac n cheese.. the potato salad.. the black eyed peas... all were **chef's kiss**. I think the charred okra had potential but my batch wasn't the best. (I did still eat them). My suggestion is to quick blanche in a veg broth with butter, char and then lightly sea salt, garlic powder & onion powder. Trust me. I ordered the side salad. Listen... basic salad. It was most literally a basic salad but.. it wasn't. It was magnificent. Romaine, red onion, cherry tomatoes, croutons (they were homemade herbed cornbread croutons). I got the dill ranch to which I learned it's made in house. Listen, that was the best salad I have ever had in my life. There's nothing you can say that wouldn't convince me those vegetables were not grown in some greenhouse in the back & was not handpicked by angels. Not one unripe, shriveled or non crunchy vegetable was in there. Everything perfect & crisp. (And this is coming from someone who ONLY buys from small farms) It was so fresh that I ordered a large one to go. Ok rewind...the apps, the fried deviled eggs were perfection. Per my nephew, "the bacon is what took it there". The fish nuggets... I don't even know what kind of fish that was. Tender... and the cornmeal batter they were fried in. **praise him** . I didn't get to try the fried green tomatoes but it's on the list for next time. My nephews both ordered fried chicken (you get to pick your pieces!) Both said the chicken was juicy, well seasoned and liked the crunch. I didn't order an entree that day because I wanted a tapas experience so I was good with apps & sides. (All of which I shared... I'm the nice rich bougie auntie) No dessert was ordered only because I forgot and whyyyyy did I forget? The service. No really.. service was five star. From the moment we entered. I like that there was seating for us to wait and we were texted when our table was ready. We got water while we waited. The host, hostesses & manager were very friendly. The restaurant was fully staffed & functioned like a well oiled machine, The vibe is very good. Im not sure who did the hiring but good job. They turn over tables with swiftness. The service was impeccable. I say this as a business traveler who dines a lot. And if our waiter had other tables, I didn't notice. We were catered to. He was so attentive but not so much so that we weren't given time to eat & felt bombarded. He shared what he enjoyed from the menu (I asked him). He checked in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. He gave great eye contact. He was personable... funny.. professional.. appropriate. Had he said "my pleasure" vs thank you I would have thought he retired from chikfilA! I was very impressed. He even agreed to a pic. Given, how much I feel we were spoiled... and I am I'm certain the other waitstaff are equally as spectacular but, I'm going to stick with Joshua and only Joshua when I come. I mean... I like what I like **shrugs** and once you feel like a VIP, you don't chance it with others. Now, would I recommend this place... absolutely.
