BurritoBar Fresh Mexican Grill

If I could do half stars, I'd rate this 2.5, but I don't think it warrants rounding up to a 3, sadly.To start with the good, they used fresh ingredients, and had a good variety of proteins and toppings. The jerk chicken I got had pretty good flavor - I enjoyed the sweet and salty contrast. Service was pretty prompt (but my colleague and I were basically the only ones in there, so I can't speak to how well service is if and when it's packed).It has a dining area inside, which is good for meeting up in small groups. Now onto the critique: The rice in my bowl was undercooked (it was hard to the bite) and everything was lukewarm (to be fair, I got there at 2pm so it was well past peak lunchtime). The tortilla that came with my burrito bowl was the generic, prepackaged stuff you'd get at the grocery store (think Mission tortillas, unlike Chipotle where it tastes more homemade). Just nothing to write home about. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't choose to go back, not with so many other restaurant options in the area.

This place is similar to Qdoba and Chipotle. I found their food to be less flavorful (though, I just got "mild chicken" which is obviously the least flavorful protein option), but that trade comes with a far cleaner facility and fresher ingredients. Everything tasted like it was just prepared and that puts it a big step above the other two! They also did not skimp on ingredients! I will update when I try the jerk chicken or one of the more flavorful options.

I had the jerk chicken quesadilla and really enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh and readily available. The only thing I would change is that the chicken needs more flavor and it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I will definitely return though.

I'm going with a 3 because I thought the food was really good. Kind of like a Chipotle on steroids. Lots of different choices and all of them looked good except the ground beef. Honestly that was my first choice but it was literally a bin full of grease - no too appealing. Having said all that, would I return? Probably not. Not because of the food, because it was good. But the customer service was terrible!! Neither employee barely looked up from their phones to wait on us. We let them know it was our first time there and they said nothing. That would have been the perfect opportunity for them to make suggestions, welcome us, etc. Also, the restaurant could have been cleaner, especially the bathrooms. Sadly, there are too many other fast casual places to go to one that doesn't seem to want my business.

The burrito I ordered was freshly prepared but the flavor was just blah.... okay.I was disappointed as the shredded chicken had no flavor, almost like it wasn't seasoned at all.I added burrito sauce to it, as they said, that it was pretty good.But that didn't seem to taste like anything eitherAll in all, it was just okay. Nothing to rave about which i'm not doing, obviously.

It was okay, more variety on protein than other bowl places. Small sit down area. Seemed pricey to me for what you receive.

I'm a huge lover of burritos and I can confidently say that this spot is a great option. Right up there with Chipotle and Qdoba, BurritoBar is quick service, good options, and a decent price (depending on what you get)! You can choose between a regular or large burrito with rice, a choice of beans, ample protein options, toppings, and many sauce choices. I got a regular bean burrito- delicious! The meat prices are high unfortunately- it's good to know they have a small incentive for paying in cash! The serving portions are a bit small but you can ask for a little more without charge for most items. I love how many sauces this spot has, overall would recommend!

I tried this place because it was local and I wanted something quick I was hesitant at first but I decided to give it a try I got the quesadilla with veggie ground beef. He barely put any beef on there I had to ask for extra (no charge) he had an attitude as soon as I walked in like he didn't want to be there at all (the one with the glasses) You tell them like toppings and he puts a whole fist full on my quesadilla like WTF The food wasn't even all that the jerk chicken doesn't even taste like jerk. Sorry guys

For now I'm giving this place 4 stars because the staff is friendly and they have REALLY GOOD chips and salsa. The salsa tasted fresh and the chips are homemade with the perfect amount of salty goodness. I'll provide a better review once I've had a chance to try more menu items. Today I had spicy chicken tacos and boy were they nice and spicy! I was, however, disappointed because the chicken was ground chicken...

This place is great! I like it better than chipotle or qudoba. The portions are large for the price, & the service was great.
