Bryan's Neighborhood Coney

I've been coming to Bryan's coney ever since they servered all the kids at my school Burt elementary when I was a kid I'm now 27 years old and I have been to this location once a month for the past 20 years the breakfast special the omelettes, the Coney, dogs, chicken, pita anything from here is made with love and Bryan's is a great family owned restaurant that's been in our community for decades always will support them. The staff is always friendly and have been around at that location forever.

Since I no longer live near Bryan's, it's been years since I've been there. But, I had an appointment in the are, so I decided to visit again.I was still impressed with the extremely friendly staff. The prices are still quite reasonable, and the food is good. Today, I got the half biscuits and gravy (still a whole biscuit) and eggs, as well as coffee. I asked for the eggs over and well done, and there was some discussion about whether or not they should be brown. I told them that brown was great, and they seemed to get a kick out of that. I was surprised that they broke the yolks; when I make them, I leave the yolks unbroken and while they harden, the whites stay white & get crispy. But, it didn't really matter that that's how they came out; as long as yolks are hard and dry, I'm happy.My only real issue was that the menus are small in size and printed on shiny cardboard, which someone had ripped; they were just a pile of cards on the table, until I finally dug out one that was intact. But, seeing as what I wanted happened to be a special posted on the board, it didn't really matter in the end.

Not sure why people rant and rave about this coney. It really is nothing special. I remember in high school this being the spot to eat for breakfast or a late lunch. Honestly years later it's meh. The service has always been good here. And it's very local feel on the inside. Could use updating. It is only 3 stars because it is nothing special about the food. Prices are reasonable for what is served.

I love their omelettes. Never had a bad one. Their corned beef hash is delicious. I've only had breakfast there. Would recommend for sure. It's a small place so you may have to wait but it's worth it.

It was good!!! My only issue is the hot dog they use was awful the coney chili was amazing!! I would get the chili cheese fries for sure with shredded cheese.

Absolutely amazing, for what it is. This is your classic, long-standing mid-west breakfast & lunch coney complete with a passion to serve and talked about favorites. The kitchen staff works together in a line well to make sure food is brought on time and the servers do what they can to feed the neighborhood during a breakfast rush. That's the gist of the ambiance, just don't get too excited - it's a neighborhood coney, a great one at that. I enjoyed the hash very much, finely shredded cheese with the finely shredded hashbrowns and nearly brunoise cuts of green pepper, onion, and ham made it a delicious and enjoyable skillet when I mixed my eggs in. The over easy eggs were nothing less and nothing more. Ordering over easy in my experience here got rid of the runny whites when places can't get sunny side ups right, but it also left the yolks perfectly untouched making them runny to perfection. The silver dollar pancakes were thing and small, just like they should be. I personally only had two downsides to this place. One was their use of margarine for everything, including buttering any pancakes/waffles or English muffins. The second was the watered down and burnt coffee I experienced.

A neighborhood coney that treats their customers like family; they gave me a wonderful time as I felt like I was being treated by my actual family, a odd yet enjoyable feeling.The food was surprisingly delicious, I asked for a cheeseburger with bacon and a side of fries, they brought my food out in under 9 minutes! All the food was cooked to my liking (Well-done.) as well to the burger being very large, all of this (Plain bacon cheeseburger w/Cheese fries) was only $16 with tip!The restaurants style and ambiance felt very reassuring and comfortable to sit in as well, it gave off a feeling of strong nostalgia, even before my time!In all honesty; This place come's from my hometown and I used to come here almost every weekend as a kid, they always have been treating me and other customers like family and nothing less.Thank you for having me.- Ethan Rodriguez

Review of their coney dog: Chili was good enough: typical Detroit coney style, with lots of cumin and a touch of heat, but the sad dog limited its appeal. The hotdog was a very pale balogna-looking pink, and mostly just tasted like salt. I asked if this was typical, hoping it was a mistake, but they told me they always look this way after grilling and steaming... No snap/(aka no skin), no grill marks, and not even browned...pass.

Double charged us for our breakfast. Paid $80 for it! Charged us on 12/22/24 and then again on 12/23/24 one had the tip on it and the other didn't. My wife went in and spoke to them a few days after this was realized by us... and they said they would get back to her, presented them with our account online showing and proving this happened....no response back, no calls. Owner can ask their waitstaff which perosn recalls this situation....I dont have time to spend going in there and doing all of this, but we do have time to find a new place to go for our families weekly breakfast close to our home. Guess they think we are lying about a $40 charge....cause you know that's worth the time and energy! If they provide an email or something I will send them all the info to "reveiw" like they said they were going to do over a week ago.

turkey slop changed my life. the ambiance of it was amazing. similar to that of say, dog vomit? not to mention the service. bryan you are a master at your craft.
