Bronx Bar - Detroit

The Bronx is a classic corner bar in the city! We were hopping around and were hungry! We both love burgers and the Bronx Burger never disappoints! If you haven't had a chance to indulge...what are you doing???? lol

This is a smaller - but cute- bar in the heart of midtown, equipped with a pool table, old time jukebox, and patio seating. I always have a good time here! Expect average price for a drink... maybe $5-$12 for a drink (depending on what you order). This bar is always fairly busy on weekends, but bartenders are friendly and do a good job at keeping up with customers. They also serve food! Pictured is the black bean burger... guys... this was actually so good I'd consider coming here to have this just as a meal. The portion was also gigantic!!Note: street parking is a challenge in this area, you may need to walk a ways if you are traveling by car

Bronx Bar is famous around Detroit for its burger, and for good reason. The ambiance, inside and out, is great. It's a bit rustic with both new and old school elements. There is a pool table, as well. Both food and drink orders are made at the bar. The bartender had a heavy pour, and that's not a complaint. They didn't have ginger beer, so the Moscow mule I ordered had ginger ale instead. The mule was a great compliment drink to my burger, which was easily one of the best I've had locally. It was served on a ciabatta roll, which was softer to bite into than expected. The burger was cooked and seasoned perfectly, as were the fries. My wife got the chicken/bacon/swiss so we could try both. It was pretty good, but definitely not as good as the burger. You could get a similar meal for cheaper elsewhere, but you most likely won't get the expierence or quality that Bronx offers.

Group of 6 walked through 15 degree weather to get drinks. Sat down to warm up and was lambasted by the ass bartender with the receding hairline for not ordering a drink fast enough. Made women in group feel extremely uncomfortable. Terrible customer service and rude out of nowhere behavior.

Some of the best bar food in town. Cool wrap around patio seating. Burger is LEGIT, I was sus at first about the ciabatta as the bun but it works perfect. Quick & fast service, cute dive bar interior. Only wish I could keep a tab open, and maybe if there was a tv or two so you could catch a game there!

If you're looking for a tasty Burger in the Midtown Detroit area, and aren't looking for a sophisticated place, this is a great spot. The burger was very tasty and on very good grilled bread. But the onion rings stole the show. Yum!

No better local bar in the city. They have great service and a healthy pour. Making anyone on a budget super happy. The ambiance is for sure nostalgic of old Detroit, which seems to be slipping away with all the new bougie places.

Local watering hole serving the locals since the 1930's. Love visiting this place for the vibe and energy but return as always for the food. The bond burger is well seasoned on a grilled focaccia bread and topped with lettuce tomatoe and onion. It is large and I prefer to use the smash method since the bread is hearty and won't fall apart. The homemade ranch sauce with fresh dill is good with the deep fried portabella slices or deep fried pickle spears. The food is always amazing. Pricing is more than fair for the huge portions. Great bar ambiance with a great jukebox.

Food was ok...I liked the onion rings, not a fan of the bread they use. Customer service was not great, probably could use someone with a better attitude and presence
