Bourbon Street Gumbo and PoBoys

First we were greeted very nicely I might add. Then we were treated to the best gumbo and catfish I've had. Hospitality awesome!Food awesome! Like really awesome! What a gem.

First visit here after reading great reviews here and elsewhere. What a great addition to the Waterford restaurant scene. Authentic Cajun in Waterford? Yes! I was on the area so picked up a 16oz Gumbo with seafood. At $17.95, not an inexpensive lunch but this is the real deal. The gumbo was absolutely delicious with a generous amount of seafood. I love hot food but a word of caution to those who do not, the gumbo is definitely spicy as it should be! It's clear the folks running this place know what they are doing in terms of genuine Cajun. I hope the area will support this place as I will for sure return.

Absolutely love this place! Fast and friendly service and wonderful Po-Boys! Their mini pecan pies are do decadent and yummy!

I like it. This is a local spot in my backyard. There aren't any other places like this in the area. The portion sizes were decent but, I think the pricing is a little high for what you get, they could have included a piece of cornbread or something on the side to balance that price. The food is pretty good and well-seasoned. It's a takeout spot, not ideal for eating in. However, they have a few tables where you could sit if needed. At the time of going, the bathroom wasn't available for public use and they included customers as "the public". The staff was friendly and the service was fast.

This is one of the best creole places in Michigan. Better than Fishbones and places like that. Gumbo and Crawfish etoufee were amazing. The red beans and rice was the best my partner ever had. Desserts are little but amazing. Service was excellent. This is carryout only which is fine so they can focus on the food.

It was really nice seeing something like this in the area. We've only ordered pickup from here (twice now) but the food was delicious. We will be back!

I'd say the food was definitely tasty! I got the seafood jambalaya and red beans and rice. I TORE IT UP I was falling asleep while eating how good it was lol. The service was fast and the people were friendly! I'll definitely be back! I think I may stop here after every class to grab some lunch thank you!

This is a no frills joint with solid food. Food is made fresh which I really appreciate. Everyone was very friendly and working hard. We tried a few things and I would order each of them again. The sausage po boy was very good. It's a generous helping with good flavor. Looking forward to trying some of the others! The jambalaya with seafood, chicken and andouille sausage. It was very tasty! Now the star of our order was the red beans and rice. We got the full order which comes with a chicken strip. The strip is hand battered and had great flavor. The beans and rice are perfection. I consider myself a connoisseur of red beans and rice. This was one of the best I've had. It had a little heat that is just enough. The dish was seasoned perfectly with the perfect sauciness for the rice to soak up without drying out the dish. If I want red beans and rice, this is where I will go to order. They have a few 'coming soon' dishes on the menu that I'm looking forward to trying. Congratulations to the owners. This new restaurant has sticking potential. We needed something new in this area and this is a welcome addition.

The chicken and andouille Gumbo is amazing. The spice level might be high for some, but it's authentic to New Orleans cuisine - and the spicy level didn't overpower the other flavors at all. My friends got the catfish po'boy and I had a taste and it's an amazing sandwich. Completely worth the prices and definitely a place I'll come back to!Don, the owner, has a friendly and outgoing personality. The service from everyone there was top notch and they treat you like family. Check them out!!

Went for the first time and it was great! The seafood jambalaya was incredible and the shrimp po-boy was too! I'll be back soon.
