Best pastrami sandwich this side of Brooklyn! The peorogis were also amazing, served with nicely caramelized grilled onions. Small seating area to dine in. Also home made treats that looked good.

I don't know how long Boris's deli has been here, but I'm a fan. My friend recommended it, and I'm glad she did. Walking in, the place is super small. Maybe three tables, total but that's it. We wanted to sit down, but it seems like more of a carryout more than anything else. The menus very thorough with everything from Matzo Ball soup, to chopped liver and latkes as well. While I love all of these dishes, I wanted my traditional fan fare of a hot pastrami on Rye. My friend got the same dish as well, and let me tell you, it's delicious! We split an appetizer of chopped liver and it was really good. Not as good as my grandmas, but very very good.Fresh veggies were served with it, and we ate almost the whole thing. The gal at the counter was patient with us, as we're a tough crowd to take orders from. My friend's from New York, has to have it her way and, well, I am me and just a pain all around. LOL. She did a fabulous job of answering our questions, getting our order right, and all that jazz.I would love to eat here again and next time, I'm doing the Matzo Ball soup!

First time here and was completely blown away. The sandwiches are bigger than most the delis in the area for about $4 less. Please check this place out!!!! But don't tell too many people. It's a mostly take out place with a few tables.

Found on Yelp while traveling. Reviews were spot on. Nice, family owned business (a regular patron told us as we were waiting on our sandwiches. ) sandwiches were huge! Tasted excellent, very competitively priced. One sandwich could have easily have been shared by 2. Deserts were also tasty, and they had several choices. Highly recommended this shop. Well worth the stop. Small & quaint. All made to order.

Super sized delicious sandwiches! Got a lettuce wrapped sandwich and it's enough for two big meals. Very satisfying and fresh. They are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

First time there. Extremely small place but the take outs were coming in hot! The cook was truly running due to all the orders coming in. It was a bit of a wait for our food but well worth it. The corned beef sandwich was one of the best. No fat, very tender and delicious. The female taking orders was friendly and doing her best to keep us as well. She apologized for timing but it was beyond her control. She knew just about everyone that came in for a take out order! If you can order ahead and don't mind the wait or if you can stop in when not in a rush, I highly suggest it!

Coming in on a Saturday, they weren't busy at all; two people waiting at the counter and a couple of folks coming in for take away. My wife sought after the French toast, and I got a cup of the matzo ball soup and the hot turkey dinner with mash and gravy. French toast: fluffy challah bread, light cinnamon, but a LOT of egg. It resembled someone pouring scrambled egg on a flat top, then placing the bread on it. IMO. There was a bit too much egg; about as much egg as as many times as I have SAID egg. Lol. Matzo ball soup: REALLY good broth, light veggies and thin noodles (resembled Cup of noodles soup from Lipton. Matzo ball was basic on flavor; nothing too stellar. Hot turkey and mash: ok, this was an open faced sandwich with gravy on it (beef gravy). Thick slices of what was basically deli meat turkey, and thick bread. Add some mash potatoes and some beef gravy (not sure why if it's turkey), and you have a decent lunch. Star of the show: Potato salad. I could eat THIS by the crate. Lightly sweet, lots of flavor and just the right texture for the potato. Overall, it was good. Would I frequent again?.... Yeah, I would. Lots of things to try. And anywhere with Sy Ginsburg corned beef, you can't go wrong.

This is a super small Jewish deli that we passed by going to the veterinary to get shots for our dog and ordered Kreplach soup that is triangular dumplings filled with ground meat, boiled and served in soup. First time ever trying this soup and it's delicious on a cold day it's a perfect comfort food.We also ordered liver pate and had it with crackers and mustards. Very good liver pate and it's so rare to see places even sell it.The restaurant does have a very interesting menu and super friendly owners who love the food industry but also love people. It's a very clean restaurant and we definitely will be back to try more menu items and are pleased we discovered this gem. They have a deli counter and deli trays and I certainly see why it's one of the highest rated delis in Michigan.

As someone who frequents delis in the metro Detroit area, Boris's is my new favorite. The food is excellent with great service. I just ordered a deli tray for a party and it was a big hit. The coleslaw is fantastic, which is important for good sandwiches. The meat was top quality.

Ordered 1/2 sandwich and soup, potato latkes, and a soda over the phone. Charged for and received a full sandwich of rubbery off-putting corned beef. It was missing Russian dressing and pickles (which are supposed to be included). Total was $29.66!!As a jewish person, Boris Deli does not meet the expectation for a jewish deli. Their corned beef is of lower quality and improperly prepared. You can get a real jewish deli sandwich for the same price and higher quality at other establishments. Go to Stage Deli, Steve's Deli, or Siegel's Deli if you want the BEST quality sandwich and soup experience. Secondary options like Bronx Deli, Val's, and Pickles and Rye are decent as well. Boris Deli is the worst Jewish Deli in MI.
